56 of 56 · most liked firstBah. No, just no. This game offers way too little control to make it through the night, and it feels like nothing more than a game of "chance" and RNG (Random Number Generation) that determines the outcome. The jump scares are NOT scary, just obnoxious. If you want a good FNAF style game that gives you actual control and a game where you feel like what you do actually matters? Then play "Night Blight" for the same price on Steam, or look up Boogey Man, both games are 10x better then this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had mixed feelings when starting up Shut Eye as I had already played Hush Interactive's previous title called The Dolls. I gave it a negative review emphasising the unnecessary republishing of a title that borrowed so much from Five Nights at Freddy's. The changes employed in the newly released game (now titled Reborn) I simply could not accept. The concept of Shut Eye is pretty much identical to that of Five Nights at Freddy's. Instead of an office, however, we are bound to our bed (the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game started out as a decent idea. You play as a girl who has severe social anxiety, and you're trying to reassure yourself everything is alright, and if you don't, you go insane and die. However, the execution just isn't there. This game feels like it's solely based on chance. The game doesn't explain what exactly you have to do, except give you meager instructions to decrease your anxiety. The only problem is, you can still die, even when your anxiety is at 0/100. In the first level the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →creepy bear trying to touch you
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I never gave that teddy bear permission to touch me!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBHg_9hTI-4 well where to start , this girl is having a week away from her family and she is having anxiety problem since she was little. So we gotta keep her calm keep her safe and keep her bright basicly. Problem is there is not alot of control over the game! If you like 5 nights at freddies style game play go for it give a try but i have to warn ppl planing to play this game there are not alot of possibilities. I doesn`t worth the money they might fix…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fun scary game. But, IT WILL SCARE THE LIVING ♥♥♥♥ OUT OF YOU. I made a video on it. go check it out on there if you want to see gaemplay of it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool Indie game Shut Eye 5/10 Heisen
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It really does shut you eyes from boredom.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too many games trying to be like five nights at freddys and Boogeyman.. You're thrown into the game not knowing what to do exactly and what each object does. The game doesnt give you no tips or helps, just throws you into the game. The first 3 mins of playing, i had fun. You soon realize and come to the sense the game is all about luck.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know what exactly that is, but as a serious game it doesn't go through anyway. Neither the tag "indie" nor the reduced price (0,49€) can change that. The game principle? Press a few buttons and keep your anxiety bar low so that a teddy bear doesn't hop on your bed to show you the game over screen. Relatively simple Achievements, but you have to bring along nerves like wire ropes... so that you don't fall asleep in between. Recommendation? Hell no, it's a clear game over here.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very short game, Doesnt explain the excat concept of what you have to do. Other wise over all its pretty fun! Not the scariest game ive played.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What an appropriate name because that's exactly what you get when you play this. zzZZzZzZZZzzzzZZZzZzzz...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game. Nice graphic. You can earn achievements. And you can get trading cards.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/W6y_IdSwvbw The game is pretty creepy and it had some shock moments. But I just didn't get the controls. Nor did I have any real sense what to do, the game felt extremely random. The bears around the room looked pretty creepy and scary and the graphics we're good. But this one just wasn't for me. I got nauseated playing because of all the camera movements. So you will have to decide for yourself from the gameplay if it's for you or not. The Good: + okay graphics, teddy's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not Recommended
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/lF95EDm8jNc So basically a pretty average FNAF clone. I suppose if I were to look for any positives the visuals are at least decent but atthe same time that is the games biggest problem. Cute teddy bears don't instill as sense of fear or dread. In fact quite the opposite - I want to hug THEM to death. Guess I'm going soft with old age.... So if you like FNAF games and see it on a sale, then there is nothing outright broken here. However the opposite is also true - there is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I did get this game for nothing- I wouldn't have sought it out to buy, not my kind of thing- so thought I'd give it a go. But it was just so dull. If you were able to get up and walk around, it may be more of a challenge, but you're basically stuck in a bed (although to be fair being a terrified kid in the dark you wouldn't exactly want to move at all, let alone put a foot out of bed, so I guess it makes some sense) anyway, there's nothing much to it, just repeating one of about 5 actions to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another dumb FNaF clone. It's pretty boring. Do not bother.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a quirky, yet solid, entry into the horror genre. Most of the time in horror games you are used to being chased around dark and strange locations by monsters, but in this game you stay stationary while the monsters come to you. The game is very short, but I found it kind of intense. The graphics are decent, pretty much the usual graphics for this kind of game. You play as a small girl who is sleeping somewhere away from home, probably a relative's house, while her parents are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Night you will never forget not because it's scary but because it's terrible.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →achievment: end level 3 what level 3? All levels look the same
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I feel quite indifferent towards this game. It's not that scary, quite simplistic, functional, and basic. It doesn't have any technical problems - everything works, the sound is ok, the design in all right, but that's just it. It works but that's really all it does well. It's not really fun, it's not really boring, it's just there. I can't really explain it. I wish I could just give this a sideways "I don't really care either way." review. 5/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →OMG! What a waste of time!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ahhh... scary... I'm being sarcastic. I mean really? oh noes the teddy bears are evil. It's presumably a knock off of Freddy's and boring.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wasnt very fussed on this game a soft cuddly bear to scare you different I suppose I couldnt get on with this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrifying ambiance, pretty good jumpscared, and creepy enemys. A great horror title for its price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The atmosphere is OKish and the horror isn't limited to jump scares. But the tutorial is poor, so I have no idea what I'm actually doing, which makes things feel random. I ended up getting bored rather than scared.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Shut Eye is a small indie horror game that really leans into psychological tension rather than traditional scares, and when it works, it actually creates a pretty unsettling experience. You play as a young child left alone in a strange place, trying to survive the night while managing anxiety and keeping your “calm” under control. The main twist is that fear itself becomes part of the gameplay - as your anxiety rises, reality starts to distort and harmless things can suddenly feel threatening.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Shut Eye, developed by HUSH Interactive and published by Forever Entertainment S.A., is a psychological horror experience that trades traditional action and exploration for a more intimate, anxiety-driven gameplay loop. Instead of placing players in a sprawling haunted environment, the game confines its tension to a small, personal space and builds its identity around the fragile emotional state of a child left alone at night. The premise is simple but effective: you are not fighting monsters…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/ldtBiOK1N0Y A plate spinning horror game that gives far to little agency to it's players. The occasional jump scare is the consequence for failure with no reward for success.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The graphics and environment look nice and all.. but the thing is just boring. Look left, look under the bed, turn on the light, look up.. that's basically it. And we've already seen this before.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The number "4" was in a different font than all of the other numbers. For that reason, I'm out.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →interesting .. but unoriginal jump scare shock tactic game but with fluffy teddys instead .. a meh game .. but ok for a quid or so and 1 hr time waster 3/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this game, I really, really did. First of all, you're getting what is called a 'tutorial', but it's basically just a screen prompt of the function keys and you're thrown right on in. You don't even get time to really look at the scheme of things, because the night is rolling on in the background. It's a good concept for a game-- I guess. A little too familiar to a certain Fazbear game, but I can see the appeal. A proper tutorial and a little bit of direction as to what…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty entertaining and really creepy. I got it while it was on sale but the price is very fair. I recommend this game for a quick scare to play with friends or just a game to get you in the creeper mood. Good game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Controls are just awful. Can't make any progress in the game or even get a grasp of what's happening. Unplayable. Nice concept though.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game does not provide a thrill for me. The constant moving about, flashing in darkness and horrible sound effects just make me uncomfortable and wanting to find the 'off switch'.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →OMG! What a waste of time!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is GOOD
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Eh, it's fun enough for what it is. You're a child in bed at night and you have to run the clock down to the morning whilst fending off evil teddy bears flooding in from each corner of your room armed only with a flashlight with a short battery life (that isn't rechargeable), and a music box. You also have to manage an anxiety meter which creeps up over time, which can be paused through use of the music box, or reduced by taking time out to look under your bed or on the top bunk, which gives a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Shut Eye is a "keep pushing the buttons" jumpscare horror game ripoff of Five Nights at Freddies. The game is unplayable if you own a HOTAS or other game controller as the developer randomly maps the controls to various axes, controls can't be customised, and of course there's no deadzones either, so unless you want to crawl around recabling your PC to accomodate the developers insistence that testing and user configurable controls are too good for PC gamers, this game can't be played.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've never played FNAF so idk if this is similar. But what I do know is it's a bit challenging to figure out how to keep the teddybear from giving you a heart attack or whatever happens to you. It's worth playing if you can get it in a bundle. But don't expect much. There is one room and it gets harder as the nights go on. I have yet to complete it. Will update review if I play more. Anyways it's not bad. Update: The biggest challenge on night 3 and up is keeping your flashlight battery alive,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another game that tried to be scary but does it in worst possible way.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- Are you scared? - No - Now! - AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! YES YES! Get out!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →too complicated and not joyable game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥. I couldn't play this for more than 6 mins without nearly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ myself. The combonation of laughing, a winding jack-in-the-box, the storm outside, the flickering lights.. The game is simple yet terrifying.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Essentially FNAF 3 with teddy bears, still does a great job of scaring the player -DoItAll on Youtube
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game you wouldnt think would be scary but i promise you it kinda gets there https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ScQCBkyYV4
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a FNAF-Style game that's just really boring. Jumscares are not scary - there is absolutely no atmosphere at all ... graphics look ok tho
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't really know what to say about this game, played it once upon a time as i got it in part of a bundle. Wasn't great to be honest. Just seemed like a stripped back knock off of Five Nights at Freddy's offering minimal to nothing in the line of anything new or interesting. Plus side is it works out at like 5p as part of a bundle and gave me a few cards!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The only description of this game via Steam is "Keep her calm. Keep her safe. Keep her in the light." What does this mean? Shut Eye is a first-person perspective, survival horror, game where the creeps and spooks take place in a childs bedroom. It's not so creepy until the bears get you. Check out my review of Shut Eye: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-v-Hs64953o
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a good game, but it sure would be nice if the bears would go away when you shine your flashlight in their eyes. It turns out that those bears are possessed by demons, but one thing I know about demons, is they're afraid of light. That would make it a lot easier to keep the poor little girl calm and more importantly, safe
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wasnt crazy about this. It had potential and looked nice graphically, but it felt too random at times. I did a video of the gameplay, hopefully it can give you an idea of if youd like it plus some entertainment at the same time https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLye4S8tIpA
