Your citizens demand "goods" and your armies demand "arms", but you'll find it impossible to meet your nation's needs in these areas and while you can earn cash from exporting food, coal, and oil, I've never actually see any country export either arms, or goods, which means that international trade is largely pointless. Cash in this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought the game. I played it for 2 hours. I tried to play it another day and they told me I don't have a valid key. Told me to reinstall the game. I did. Still no valid key. No key settings like games that do require keys. This is quite literally unplayable. Edit: Turns out this is a bug =D this game has a bug that makes you think the game was stolen from you. And the fix is to delete a key in your windows registry. Wtf? This game is 14 years old and instead of fixing such a glaring bug…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is bugging out and asking for a valid product key for lots of players.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was a pretty nice pick-up for $1.50. I enjoyed myself whilst playing this title. I will structure this review in a pro/con format. Pros ➤ Simple and easy to learn ➤ Efficient UI ➤ Affordable price tag ➤ Easy movement, troops attack into a territory like RISK ➤ Variable gameplay, no two games will be the same ➤ Resource management keeps you thinking ➤ Creating and breaking alliances to expand and invade ➤ Graphs and maps to compare world power, finances, and arms Cons ➤ Multiplayer is dead ➤…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i bought it and now it said: "Couldn't find valid license key. Please try reinstalling the product." i reinstalled 5 times but doesn't work

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is fantastic. I prefer this old Making History game over any of the new ones. I imagine I'll reach up to 1000 hours of play time on this game, by just how entertaining it can be. PROS The game looks great first of all, just simple unit model designs, alongside a simple map design. But it's quite pleasant to look at. This game was originally made for classrooms, so even the worst toaster-pc could run it. You can mod a ton in this game, and that's where the most enjoyment comes…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My WW2 was a bit different (I started in June of "44" so that's the POD for my Germany I pulled my troops out of Normandy, and kept the allies bogged down there until late July, meanwhile, i punched out the USSRs teeth, destroying their frontline units....for a time. I pulled the few remaining troops i had out of Norway to reenforce my position in Europe, I blew back the Allies's first offensive into Northern Italy. Things were looking good.....but good things never last for Germany do they?…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game refuses to run several times without external help/modifications. Multiplayer does not work, no matter what I do. Using nothing, Hamachi or even Evolve. And also >romanian britanny :^) Not to mention that if you annex ITALY and Austria by 1936, no one will bat an eye.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Outstanding game! I would recommend playing on the easier level at first to get a feel for the game, unless you have played this type of game before. I enjoy it more than Hearts of Iron. If you’re an action game player you may not like it. But give it a try you may find something you didn’t know you liked. I enjoy the fact you can play different Nations and play in different modes and levels. The outcome is not fixed and will depend on what you do in the game. I have put in a lot of hours on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bad. The economy in the game is ridiculous, was building dozens and dozens of tank divisions without problems and rampaging; no need to build infantry or else. A game doesnt have to be 100% realistic but come on....
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really solid war simulator, 10/10 would nuke london again #brexitthatshit
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun game defiently recommend it on sale. BTW if you're worried about the license key issue I put up a guide on how to fix it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →played game for week then said needed a key but had no key so
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Multiplayer doesn't work, even though they won't mention it. Plus side, it emulates historical things like Romania taking Brittany from France.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is quite simple to play whenever comes to strategic based this kind of game. I've been played the MH: The Great War. Yet, most of the part provinces still unclear and not accurately. But overall, I give 7.5/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm Indonesian and i played as Dainippon. Dainippon counquered Indonesia again. I'm sad. and then i Played as Mother Russia. Mother Russia has defeated Dainippon and change the course of history. Mother Russia also liberated Indonesia from Netherland. I'm happy because G30S would never happen. 30th September '65/10 would do it again
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sadly broken as of late, it's asking for a product key
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First game I played in this, I took over the world as Brazil. Ever since then, I've played every nation in the game, and won with many of them. I like the huge variety of nations they make playable. Yeah, definitely get it if you can. It's really cheap during Steam sales.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're a veteran of the genre then stay away from this, it has nothing to offer to you. However if you're new to grand strategy games then there's a good chance you'll enjoy this. The price is the main reason I recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First of all I am not a guy that leaves reviews. After playing 31 hours I get the stupid message stating that my cd registration is not found. What kind of crap is this. There is no fix solution. I uninstalled and installed 4 times with the same result. Why sell a product that turns into complete feces after you are hooked on. Steam should pull their head out their collective asses and make unplayable games and force ♥♥♥♥♥♥ developers to complete their games before they are placed for sale.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First Review: This game was good until this message kept popping up saying that the restriction key wasn't found try reinstalling it. And done it three times with no success. Its not like I was good at the game or anything. 2nd Review: The game is hard for me. I'm still learning how to play this game, when I think I have a decent stockpile of food it just plummets.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →deos not work - no valid key - somebody should look into a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All was going well, the game was great even though I sucked. Recently the game decided to ♥♥♥♥ off and not let me play it anymore "Invalid license key" still don't know what happened, good game. Update: -Fixed the glitch.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really really love this game, but I can never play it. Why? Because the game keep running into the error "valid product key not found... try reinstalling product". Someone please send help! Otherwise this is a great game. *Update* I have since scoured the forums for a fix, and this worked for me. Exit steam (from taskbar) and run as admin. I don't know why but this works, so.... Have fun guys!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very simple, and basic strategy. Can be a good title if you don't wish to learn a Paradox title, or to get immersed into the genere.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game. If you want to play hearts of iron series but too dumb to actually play it (like me lol),play this game instead 9/10

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Playing for years, great game compared to other turn-based strategy games
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really nice strategy game that is full of choices. You can make a scenario with unique nation ideologies. e.g Communist United States, Democratic Japan , Fascist USSR etc. You also can choose how much territory every country has.You can clearly make the country you play with has all the territory ( which will result in insta win) or make it has the least territory. This game is really nice to be played both single and multiplayer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is so amazing, its so simple and pure fun. Its not complicated at all, there is a tutorial that lasts 30 min and teaches you everything about the game: Diplomacy, millitary and so on. The good thing about this game is that its random, and when i say random i mean that lets say Germany and USA can be allies and Soviet union can be allies with Japan, and that makes the game much more fun to play.Btw if you saw these negative reviews about *authorization errors* or any other, no worries.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Making History: The Calm & the Storm" is an ancient game from 2007. It's a whopping 17 years old at the time of this review. The game lacks support for any modern gaming display resolutions (or 16:9 widescreen monitors), hasn't been modernised or updated to run smoothly on modern gaming PCs. Despite this lack of modernisation, it carries a pretty high price tag for such an ancient game. This seems to have been put on Steam as a nostalgia gouge, or just a cash grab to try profit from…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a Great old game, Its nothing like Rome total War, but it fun and easy to play. 5/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If your looking for am old school turn based strategy game, this game is great. It takes some time to get used to but once you get the hang of it its really in depth.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have been playing war games at the strategic level for roughly 20 years across various mediums; board games, miniatures (historic, fantasy, sci-fi). At the top of the list of played have always been the various offerings of WWII- everyone seems to have made a game for it at some point. Making History: The Calm & the Storm is an excellent offering in this large and expansive genre field. It goes beyond the typical unit does x damage, defends y damage and some system determines the winner.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Take this game off your list steam, keep getting a message saying that the reistration key wasnt found try reinstalling it. Making Money more like from crap. :(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros: -its not to complicated(this can also be a con) -it has a lot of options -its cheap -you can conqure the world -world war 2 cons: -has truble atcually geting into game, (look on the internet to fix this temporarily) it gets annoying -it is hard to meet the requirements for both arms and goods overal: 8/10 if you plan to get a making history game, try this for starters.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good game but its broken, after about a week it started saying i didnt have the coorect cd key, and i noticed alot of people are having same problem so i wouldnt recommend because eventually u wont be able to play and it still hasnt been fixed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its saying i have an invalid license key. i cant play it. not happy at all. can someone tell me how to solve this?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love this game. Number of different scenarios using about 9 different standard nations. If you choose, you can play any nation. It also has a modding editor that allows you change any and all elements of a scenario prior to playing. I added the city of my birth. You can change the industrialization of any nation, air forces, navies, and land units as well as stock piles of strategic elements. now I can't play due to Invalid license key. I have noticed that others have had this problem.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have many more hours than shown on Steam. Amazing game...Top 5 best turn-based strategy games ever made. Unbelievable that it's on sale right now for 49 cents! Replay value is insanely good. I highly recommend you try this game out... and for less than a cup of coffee, why not!?!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Spent hundreds of hours playing this, taught me some history and geography as well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I respect the attention to historical detail here. Made me feel like I was learning stuff. But this game is SO BORING! Also it really ought to have a tutorial.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I remember playing it when I was 7 (f this game because of it i have spend too much money on strategy games)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Garbage. Just spam tanks (without any support) and win the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →when you lose your connection and you have nothing to do play this
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's like Hearts Of Iron, but easier. Good fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Making History: The Calm & The Storm is a tremendously terrific game. Though it has aged quite poorly, it's still worth the purchase, even now. The multiplayer feature, though rather annoying to operate, is functional with a little help from other programs. Overall, 7.25/10, considering its age.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have just reinstalled Making History: The Calm & the Storm, but upon starting the game I received a windowed message reading that the game couldn't find the license key. I am prompted to reinstall the game and I have done so several times, but I am still not able to play the game. - Has anyone experienced the same problem? - Does anybody know how to contact Steam about this? The game was bought through Steam originally.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it says couldnt find a valid licens key? feels like weird im not sure why i have payed for this game is Steam doesnt let me run it on my computer ever again
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After 2 days it says I don't have a valid CD key. Was unaware this was a 2 day trial for $5. Obviously it's not but steam or the dev is bad at their job. Waste your money on this at your own risk.
