60 of 123 · most liked firstI WANT to like it. I really do. The pixel art is good, the gameplay itself is fun. And there's a lot of different attacks and effects to add to your dice. But there are so many baffling choices that turn an enjoyable game into something just...not good. The First: Every enemy after the first fight has some way to ignore your Armor and harm your Health directly. Not 'past the first dungeon'. I mean as early as the second fight in the dungeon you start every run in, mobs start having one or more…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Initially, I thought this game relied heavily on chance, but it's actually about making constant, impactful choices. Your success hinges on the quality of those decisions. From selecting paths and deciding between attack or heal, to choosing gear and opting for redemption or battle, every choice matters
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Although this is obviously and extensively inspired by the better "Slice and Dice", it does not reach its depth and variety - which is a shame because i like both. The pixel style is charming, the concept is fun and keeps you engaged (the one more round kinda feeling). It could do better with a lot more heroes and dice sides though.

The gameplay is challenging, but doesn't overload you with synergies and effects that you need to memorize like a lot of others in this genre. It's a refreshing change of pace. Recommended! 7.5/10 #IndieGames

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was really disappointed with Luck & Loot. There is nothing new here. It's competently executed, it's got a specific aesthetic that it uses ok. But I've played 20 games in the past year that do everything this game does, but adds something to the formula. L&L is bog standard. It's a basic deckbuilder roguelite dungeon crawl. And it's too easy. There's nothing wrong with it -- it just doesn't stand out.

Video Review TBD https://youtu.be/ktUAzq81d8k I Don't Agree With a Lot For a game called Luck and Loot, there isn’t much of either. The loot consists of dice faces you can add to your dice to create a deck of dice. You might call that luck, but it’s not really. Each encounter…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gamba Gamba Gamba! How exciting it is to play when your character's strength depends not only on items and skills, but also on luck. It's the most underrated stat in games, but it's the main feature in this one. We roll dice and, depending on the outcome, attack enemies. We collect upgrades, improve our build, and become invincible. An excellent option for roguelite fans. If you read the review and liked it, don't forget to give it a thumbsup;)The further - The better♥️
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Roguelike + unique + addictive = Slay the Spire with dice. Explore and encounter monsters or events to get stronger. Choose between different rewards. Add dice, level and more to clear bosses. Lowkey and challenging roguelike with a lot of replayability. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely great game! You can make so many interesting builds between all the skills and your 4 dice. I highly recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A high-quality riff on the "dicebuilder" sub-genre, largely comparable to Slash & Dice in core mechanics, boasting a good, cohesive aesthetic and a good challenge. My biggest initial issues with the game are that: (1) the actual amount of content feels very low, even for a game that's only $8, in comparison to its genre peers, and (2) the game commits the cardinal sin of dice and deckbuilder games (and, arguably, roguelites in general) and encouraging endless, un-fun grinding mid-run. To…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played around three or four runs, and I lost every single one. I couldn't win even one run. I only managed to get my character to around level 3. I think the main problem here is that the game is a roguelike rather than a roguelite. In other words, your character doesn't permanently get stronger after you die. Yes, you unlock new items and other things, but game depends on how well you play and how lucky you are. Simply playing more doesn't make you stronger. For example, I get poisoned, I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I find this very boring when compared with the excellent Slice & Dice and it's hard not to draw comparisons. Meh.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Play here: https://youtu.be/dd1bId_Qvx0 Honestly there's so much good in this game and it's utterly ruined by balancing I'd definitely check it out again and update my review, but the creator needs to figure out his fatigue system I understand the purpose of it it's so the player doesn't sit stack max armor or fully heal off every battle, but IT"S WAY too early in the fights each fight can have multiple enemies they all have a solid amount of hp and can play defensively/heal. I should be…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’m usually terrible at putting thoughts into words, but I had to say something — Luck & Loot is such a fun ride. The dice-building mechanic is super satisfying, and the roguelike gameplay kept me coming back for "just one more run." Every choice feels important, from customizing your dice to picking up relics that completely change how you play. It’s challenging, but in a good way — when you win, it feels earned. Highly recommend if you're into roguelikes or turn-based combat!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really solid dicey roguelike deckbuilder (or whatever a deckbuilder's called when you're building dice. Pretty punishing and every reward choice has real impact - you usually only get to pick healing OR cash OR a skill, and you need to keep picking up skills to sacrifice some to upgrade your dice, which leaves you with a more capable dice but with more blank sides on it... so there's plenty going on. Playthroughs are pretty quick (once you increase game speed), everything's nicely transparent,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game feels nearly perfect in all respects. But meta-progression kinda bugs me. Not that I don't think it should be present, but the power scaling of it should be flattened. It sucks to play your best and think you actually have a chance, only to find that the next tier of unlocks make it very clear that the game is balanced to make that impossible until you've played enough runs. Combat is fun, intuitive, very flow-y, but this sours the experience a bit. I was also hoping to see more dice…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm afraid I disagree with a lot of design choice here and therefore I cannot recommend this. 1. For a game with Loot in the title, there just isn't enough loot around. Why do I have to pick between gold and a skill after every battle? Surely it would make more sense to give a base gold reward and give me the option to decide between a skill and extra gold? I'm always running low on gold and end up bankrupt at the merchant, while simultaneously not having enough skills around to upgrade the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing game. Cool art style. Its basically the same idea as Slice & Dice but a bit more "approachable" i would say? Don't get me wrong, I think S+D is an outstanding game but at least for me personally requires a lot of brain cells to operate. Luck & Loot has the same concept but somehow I find 1 character with 4 dice better than 5-ish characters with 5-ish dice. This game is a steal especially for this price!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solid dicebuilder.

It manages to take the oldschool look and feel of a dungeon crawler with crisp retro graphics and solid background music (Unobtrusive I have to say unlike most games) and wrap it in a BRILLIANT rogutelite package. You play as one of 3 starting classes with a touch of meta-progression managing dice rolls and deep synergy builds across dice based combat, following a "slay the spire" style overworld…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was really addictive. The strategy and different builds you can run is really awesome once you start figuring out the various combinations. Love the fact that its random every time keeping it fresh and honestly laughed so hard at the achievements and various dialogues throughout - nice job guys
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is amazing I cant recommend it enough! It's just a great experience all the way around. Game play is chill and not overwhelming, but so stinking addictive. I have found myself playing for hours, saying just one more round, just one more round. Also to add, it's great on steam deck. On the deck the numbers can sometimes be a little hard to distinguish, but other than that its flawless. There is no doubt that this game has great potential. So do yourself a favor, and add it to the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →BIG BIG YES. I wasn't sure about the graphics in the beginning, but the gameplay let me forget about the graphics simplicity quickly. It is a highly luck dependent game though, beware if you dislike that. For me, I love this game and everything it has to offer. Which is quite a lot in terms of mechanics. My only negative critique would be that I missed the dice-sacrifice mechanics for a long time. They were mentioned, but by the time I needed them, I had forgotten where to find them. It's an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →✔ simple, although effective dice gameplay ? punished for playing slowly/methodically (not just the standard 'less runs per hour', but also making each combat progressively more difficult as it goes on) ✘ useless rewind button, which doesn't help when you mistakenly used an ability instead of re-rolling ✘ unlocks per character (your first 1-2 runs with any new character are significantly weakened) ✘ RNG-heavy It lacks long-term depth and the unlock system is annoyingly slow, hurting…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ya know.. I don't hate it. That said, I rage quit after my first playthrough and now I realize it's one of those games that might be impossible to beat on the first playthrough, and through constant failure the game unlocks perks and things get easier. Part of me despises that tactic of force replicability. That said.. the game is made pretty well, it's not expensive. The game loop is interesting enough with some good RNG. So, thumbs up. I'll keep hacking away at it for a bit.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is a fun, roguelike style. Pretty fun overall. Seems very replayable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Brilliant. This and "he is coming" are the only roguelikes ive really enjoyed in the past year or so. This game will be very popular when ppl catch on
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An amazing game, definitely surprised me in a very positive way. Highly recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Reminded me of Slice & Dice, it was quite a lot of fun, a classic game of old school final fantasy RPG style turn based combat but with move sets determined by action dice with customizable faces rather than the bland old menu selector. I think it might have been well served by offering fewer opportunities to invest in a larger number of upgrades all at once rather than drip-feeding them, since it felt a little bit hard to come up with a strategy when the benefits offered were so constant yet…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's not a bad game for roguelike fans.I recommend you try this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome game! If you love Slice & Dice dont hesitate to buy this one too. 4 chars with 6 slots to be filled with skills you find/buy on your journey. With some luck, you will build brutal combos or die horribly. Kill quickly or be killed mercilessly. Be blessed with useful skills, perks and artifacts, or be cursed with even better versions of those :-D True, it is a short game. I have defeated the main boss with the first char in 2.5hrs (after some 10 restarts). Two more characters remain…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A delightful rogue-lite with a nice pixel style, and a wide variety of different skills and strategies available for all the characters (greataxe, my beloved!). There isn't a lot of dialogue in the game, but what is there is amazing and gives a very fun level of personality to each of the characters and boss fights. I've only just started getting into the meta progression for the characters, and what I've seen is easily attainable and adds more options to playstyle as you go. And you feel…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I rarely play a game thoroughly, and even less so to the point where I was willing to improve up to the leaderboard position (3rd at time of writing, but that won't last long). A very fun, and well-balanced game. I appreciate the speed at which things progress. After setting up my preferred colour scheme, the graphics were also pleasant, though simply-kept. Would recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →aggressively addictive and then the nerfs ruined it. (im basing this off being able to easily beat the game with 6/6 modifiers and now i cant even get past the second stage with all mods off)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love little games like these. It's an awesome time waster that doesn't need a bunch of attention to have fun. I normally play this game while watching the kids and have a great time. I hope controller support gets added soon.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is amazing. Everything about it is great, including the developers. I joined the discord server (and i recommend everyone to) and I have had many opportunities to talk to the developers. They are both great people and love to chat. I recommend buying this game if you like roguelike games. It also will get more updates eventually from what I have heard, so you might as well just buy it now and stick along with it as it grows. Thanks for reading, great game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was lucky enough to have been gifted this game with no strings attached, not even a message, but I'm incredible grateful! For such a simple concept, this game has some depth it it! Custom dice builds to control your attacks/abilities is great and leads to some interesting "build" choices. I am really enjoying myself so far just a few hours in, but this game has Brotato-level addictiveness—and believe me, that's a huge compliment!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It’s a fun dungeon RNG dice game, and I really love the game mechanics. I hope you give it a try! :D 10/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice unique die mechanics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →thought it was going to be a short play game. i was wrong. well done
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recommended. the pixel art is beautifully crafted, giving it a nostalgic yet vibrant charm, and the roguelike mechanics keep every run exciting and unpredictable. It strikes a perfect balance between challenge and fun, making it super addictive and rewarding to play. 10/10!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I only have 1.5 hours of playtime when writing this, but I feel confident that I'll get many more hours out of this than the "one dollar per hour" rule. The balance between RNG and good decision-making feels solid. The scaling feels solid too. If you like these kinds of games then I say check this one out. The graphics aren't amazing, obviously, but there ARE options to change the aesthetics, font, background, etc.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played like 2 hours of the demo and even from there this was one of the best roguelites/games in general from next fest. The scaling keeps each fight threatening, especially on higher difficulties. The synergies between the various dice faces can get insane late game as well The game feels super polished sound -wise and visually. Hoping for more variation to come whether that be in alternate dice faces or more characters.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This has proven to be a little strategy gem, and I couldn't be more happy that the devs are still updating the game with new content after a year!! I love how I am able to slowly develop my dice to have some awesome effects on every side and the hardcore strategizing involved. This game is very challenging, and it continues to surprise me with its depth. Keep up the good work, guys!! Y'all are killin' it!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun roguelike based on customizable dice which contain all your skills, abilities, and attacks. You have the genre standard relics, merchant, and choosing which path to take through each increasingly difficult dungeon. Runs are fairly quick and enjoyable. It's a fun game and worth the price of entry in my opinion. I only wish there were more classes/characters to play as; although, they added the starting loadout system which does change how you build your character to a degree and is a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While i dislike rougelites that are not designed to be beaten on the first play-though, this on is still fine. I feel like balance is all over the place, with the runs being barely possible to win ending up too easy after you get some unlocks. It's fine for what it is, but i think it spreads itself too thin to get more playtime out of you.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun, well designed dice builder. There's several systems at play here: + Dice capacity makes you carefully choose what you put on what face + Dice upgrades let you more heavily customize dice + Dice face synergies can let you really boost one die or combos between multiple There's a few classes to try, a few different maps you can play in different orders if you want, enemies are interesting to fight, and each run presents you with numerous choices (mainly dice faces and buff relics).
