It would be really awesome to not have to pirate bootleg versions and give my computer AIDS just to get a hit of nostalgia. If someone at Capcom sees this, please fix the games. Lost Planet was a huge part of my teenage years and I finally have a pc again and now I can't play two of my favorite games of all time. Pragmata is cool, I'll give you guys that. There's something…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game handles and runs ridiculously well on Steam Deck. If you were thinking about it it is worth getting next sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Never finished this when I was younger, but after finally playing and beating the game it was a lot of fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A solid game with fun interesting mechanics when came out back in 2007, I still enjoy playing this game today. The Story and characters are ok, the story isn't anything to special, but it gets the job done. The characters can be over the top and over dramatic, but it feels like that's what they were going for. Honestly the characters feel a little like metal gear with the way some of the bad guys act and the comical dialogue it makes for an enjoyable watch. The cutscenes in this game were…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Underrated game from Capcom. Would be awesome if they brought this franchise back like Onimusha.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best games of all time. Please fix lost planet 2. It's a unique gem, don't let it fizzle out
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →recently heard this game, "E.X. Troopers", a Lost Planet spinoff with some Mega Man Legends elements, got an English patch. would anyone be interested in watching me play this? lemme know! #vtuber #vsky #megaman #lostplanet #extroopers #capcom
unlabelledView post →This was one of those games where you remember playing it when you were young, but were never quite able to beat or understand everything that goes on in the story. I decided to play this game again just to see how well it holds up nowadays (and to say I finally beat it). Definitely was worth a short campaign trip down nostalgia and old school storytelling from Capcom. Definitely made me remember why I fell in love with mecha games and giant insect monsters! The game holds up decently, with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is great but there's two things that kill it for me. Stunlocking. It's like if you make the wrong move, every enemy on screen targets you at the same time and it'll take you a good minute to get back your footing. This is also when the game decides to pump the sound volume all the way to max and fill your ears with nothing but explosions. Those gripes aside it plays like a space Monster Hunter except the monsters feel kind of useless and in the way. In face, I'm pretty sure you can…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still waiting for CAPCOM to re-release Lost Planet 2 ...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ peak game, i remember playing this game with my dad when i was 6 years old, honestly i recommend lost planet to literally anyone, even tho this game is from '07 its still OG classic
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An incredibly underrated game ahead of its time! People always complained about the slow movement speed and such but that was the point. You are meant to be vulnerable outside of a vital suit. Your goal is to look for one usually if you are not in one or find heavy weapons. Granted fighting the humans is nowhere near as fun as fighting the akrid. The second half is a bit weaker but it still holds up well! The final boss though could have been better Mission 6 is probably my favorite level in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →capcom ain't bringing this back because it's too good
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →*Warning: Spoilers* Great game at first but got tedious very fast for me. After many years, I decided to finally finish Lost Planet: Extreme Condition from my Steam library. In this game, you play as Wayne, a soldier boy that fights against the Akrids to restore their colonization on the new EDN III planet. Meanwhile, a secret project is being developed, in which all life on the planet is erased, after which a small selection of settlers can rebuild a new green planet. You discover this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It works great under proton 9-04, the plot, the atmosphere, it's quite addictive. It's a quite challenging game, sometimes unclear where to go. However, I completed the game and can highly recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →lost planet long lost gem from ps3 era, 10/10 steamdeck must play
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolute banger XBOX style 3rd person shooter. No cover system ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Mechs, Guns. Bugs. You're always on a timer just good fun. Runs flawless on Linux.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Did not age well, however I got it for 4 bucks on sale, so I can't be mad. Its just a shame that this is the game that works, whilst the amazing sequal stays dead in abandonware...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No cloud status available for game 54 hours gone to hell
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not as good as I remember. Yeah, it has solid action set pieces, enjoyable combat/weapons, and fun boss fights. But the setting is wasted on a confusing plot, meh characters, and some genuinely irritating sections. Not bad, but beware, it hasn’t aged too well. There aren’t many mech games around, so if you’re into that, I suppose this one’s worth exploring.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →(Played offline for 4.5 hours) Even though I'm gonna recommend this game, I'm about to complain about it. There are parts about it that haven't aged well, though visually the game is still great. There's just this feeling the game gives off that I can only explain as a transitory period where developers were still getting to grips with how to actually design a fun game in the next gen. Stupid ass stun locks, unavoidable damage, just some generally player hostile things like that. Add in a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun! Now re-release Lost Planet 2 on steam and I'll play the remaining trilogy
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is still good to this day. It aged pretty well. You should play with a controller and switch the aiming mode to accelerate to get the best feeling controls. The only boss that's actually somewhat difficult is the final boss. But even then you just be aggressive first half of the fight and then back off to a distance for the second half. Complainers in recent reviews are just bad at the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Runs very smooth on Windows compared to other consoles. Controls feel janky at times but for the most part this is the best version of the gam. I've played the PS3 version on PS5,\and the original 360 version this one is better than both!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool, short game and a trip back to simpler times. When you could launch a game on the 360 that was 4 hours long, that had polycounts not much higher than a PlayStation 2 game, slap some shadowmaps and shaders on top and call it a day, and in what might come as a surprise; none of this is a sleight on the game. It's nothing special, the closest analogue I can come up with is EDF, but offline and less open ended. It's not particularly mechanically complex, but has enough variety in how you…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unless you have a nostalgic feeling for this game back in the day, I think it's a no-go in 2025, save your money. Very clunky and dated now
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I feel like someone sabotaged this game after release because I don't remember ever being so annoyed while I play this game as I have been in 2025 I played it on release on xbox 360 and had fun

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →CAPCOM, YOUR FAN HAS RETURNED. I COME SEEKING THE RE-RELEASE OF LOST PLANET 2
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I remember back in the days on Xbox 360 I would see many people on my friend's list I saw people playing Lost Planet. I never played it then, but I always wanted to and now I got my chance on PC. This was a nice throwback to simplistic and arcadish feel of story mode in older games. No complicated progression and leveling up system. No upgrading weapons or anything like that. You pick up guns as you go that glow so they're easy to find. The enemies either die with 1 headshot or if it's an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A clunky jank game that immediately creates plot holes following the prologue mission. Take the nostalgia glasses off everyone....
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first game I ever played as a child. The graphics, sound effects, and in-game missions... Every detail in the game reminds me of my childhood. My brother and I used to sit down at the computer and play... I still remember it like it was yesterday. Time flies. I started playing again 15 years later. You will always remain a legend, Lost Planet
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A beautiful game that has a fun story and enjoyable gameplay! The gameplay takes a bit of getting used to but once you've got it (for me after the first mission I felt fine) it is a fun game. I really, really love the combat, the VS suits (mech suits) and the characters are entertaining. I cannot recommend Lost Planet enough!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolute Classic, Worthy of a remaster its a shame Capcom abandoned the franchise. This and the sequel are GOATED
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simply put -- just as good as I remember. Although it's a leap-and-bound 3rd-person shooter at its core, featuring giant monster battles and large bipedal mech fights in-between; LP:EC truly represents the idea that "less is more" when it comes to game design, when its being done right. You're essentially given 6 weapon categories, with their own mech equivalents and told to assault your way forwards through the Story -- and yet, somehow it still manages to be a great game, captivating a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting game but sometimes a little frustrating due to age/clunky-ness. Only part i hated was the ending. Everything was fine enough, up until the ending XD Worth a chance while on sale i guess
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another "classic," another disappointment. It started out pretty fun for like the first two missions, then came the gimmicky missions with cheap insta-deaths that left me asking, "what the hell am I suppose to do?" 3/10 Avoid. Nostalgia will not hide this game's janky gameplay and bad gimmick levels.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Remember that time Marcus and Dom appeared in Lost Planet 2? Loved that game, the mechs, the monsters, the "GIANT WORM!" Level #art #comics #gearsofwar #lostplanet #videogames #scifiart
unlabelledView post →Hits just as good in 2026, 11/10. and the difficulty scale is actually insane, comparible to dark souls if i may.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was so close to not recommending it because of the final boss. However, the game is a memorable albeit clunky experience. I got stuck on Green Eye as a kid and recently came back to finish him off. Too bad you can't buy 2 right now. I remember that one being pretty cool.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boring game, its fun killing those creatures for a while, but it gets repetitive.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →IT'S A PLANET, BUT IT'S LOST
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Helldivers before Helldivers bring back lost planet back!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a world where bugs are the size of kaijus and the scary part is that those are only the small ones. it gives you that urge to find the biggest ♥♥♥♥-off minigun mankind has ever seen, put on some 115 music, and send these akrid back to whatever hole they came from. It's set in a alternate universe where the game master from squid games is your protagonist in a world where the main resource people are after is literally just warmth because of how cold it is. makes a man want a warm blanket and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this isn't a bad game, in fact if I had played this around release I bet I would have had a great time with the game. As of now though when I've played this in 2025 and have experienced earth defense force, helldivers 1 and 2, and honestly the battlefront games as well in some ways all supersede lost planet in so many ways that it does just generally make the game as of this time period seem aged. I love the art direction, the gimmick with the grappling hook and heat. It's just that these two…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played Lost Planet back when it released in 2006, it's premise intrigued me and the mecha design also grabbed me. So it came as a surprise that it's basically Monster Hunter but Sci-Fi with mechs. It was pretty okay until the final mission it turned into a high octane Mecha battle, everything had been tame until that point. I also remember how difficult the final boss is even on normal. The story is a pretty good Sci-Fi story and may have been the first time I even heard of Lee Byun-Hun, who…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →>totally forzen planet >everyone is wearing parkas >everyone is collecting and hoarding thermal energy >the one girl has her warlocks out what did capcom mean by this?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of a kind shooter that has its very own atmosphere. Graphics and sound are still good after all those years, all the film sequences driving the story show that this game is of high production value. The story was good enough for me to carry me through the game. And the monster design and other adversaries were plenty, including many huge bosses. Anyway, the best thing about the game are the controls. You really feel small walking on this ice planet and riding a Vital Suit feels exactly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For me the game play and dialogue are atrocious. Not only the dated graphics, which to be honest doesn't stop me from playing the GTA3 series, are dated but the interface drains fun from the game and the dialogue is like a 1950s sci-fi disappointment that was greenlight in the current era. It was not worth the price I paid for it. For those that do enjoy it good luck and have fun for others that really aren't into clunky controls and worse dialogue don't bother.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lost Planet: Extreme Condition Capcom Initial Release: Dec 21, 2006 Lost Planet is the quintessential rental game. It requires no long-term commitment (I finished the singleplayer in about 7 hours), it’s fun in short bursts (assuming you choose to play the more difficult way and actually engage the bugs instead of walking around them), and it has one of the most boring, irrelevant video game stories I’ve ever seen. While Lost Planet’s arcade-style gameplay occasionally offers exciting…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's no way Luka and Wayne didn't bang during that one year time skip.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Personal classic that I originally played on the 360, Still a great time with fun combat and awesome monsters (Stun locks are possible however), no issues running besides some light stutters and skips when the game has a lot happen suddenly. Super fun game, old misplaced story feel with fun levels and design (Common of the time), mech combat and weapon switching is great, great for a afternoon or mess around game to have some fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game didn't age too well. In later missions enemies just spam rocket launchers and quickly becomes exceedingly annoying. The controls are alright and the graphics are fine for its era. The grappling hook and jump are very clunky and slow however. I tried to give this game an honest go, but it's not for me. The mission 8 boss made me uninstall. D: guess I need to git gud?
