A spiritual successor that lacks spirit The original Majesty was one of my most played games as a kid. I easily sank hundreds of hours into it, and over a hundred more as an adult with the Steam remaster. It was a game full of charm and quirks and just the right amount of challenge, and to this day I still never get bored of playing it. I've long wished for a spiritual successor to the Majesty series. The sequel, Majesty 2, didn't hit quite the same mark as the original. A few games here and…

Eight years ago "Dusk" was released. It was a game that pioneered a boomer shooter genre - shooters, that were trying to mimic gameplay of original Doom, Quake and other 90th and early 2000th shooters. They had less of a focus on narrative, immersion, storytelling, realism, all of which was sacrificed in favor of high speed gameplay. But they weren't just replicating what was good, they were also trying to enchance it, mixing modern ideas with an old genre. Some were adding roguelike and looter…

The 1st day dlc disguesed as a supports pack is a scummy buisness pratice. They hide away a game feature "sandbox mode" and a hero the ogre behind their DLC.. err i mean supporters pack. The game okay, it is remenicence of majesty.

TL;DR -> Tries to be Majesty, but never gets further than copypasting some of the buildings and units. Mediocre RTS (gets quite grindy), literaly in the first third of the game you get almost all techs and stuff and from there it just becomes rinse-repeat. I would be more lenient if the devs wouldn't claim to be the successor of Majesty, but they did claim. Blame is on them, I guess. Wall of text Let me give you three reasons why I loved Majesty. 1.) Tavern (and stuff) If somebody didn't…

This game is not a "spiritual successor" of Majesty, it is a direct copy littered with AI content. If you told me they asked an AI engine to create the game after ingesting Majesty's code I would believe you. There is absolutely no reason to buy this game when you can get Majesty 1 and 2 on G.O.G DRM free. Once you notice the sheer volume of AI generated content it's hard to think about any other aspect of it.

Refunded due to misleading description stating that you can "relax in sandbox mode." There is no sandbox mode. As far as I can tell there is no plan to add a sandbox mode, either. There's a survival mode that's endless, but it's, well, survival (i.e. waves of enemies until you lose) that always takes place on the same map with zero customization options according to what others have said in Discussions. If you don't care about a sandbox experience, it might be worth getting still. I'm just…

Return to the past as you relive Majesty in this 2025 upscale, and realise that maybe this should have stayed in the past. ✔️ Its a Re-Skinned Majesty 2, it plays the same, it doesn't really do anything new at all. (which is good and bad) ✔️ People say it has no "love" or "Charm", I dont think that's true, the devs have clearly put alot of work into making this its own thing, while keeping the game-play as close to Majesty as they could, and it really does feel like a good Majesty game when…

TLDR: If you want something to scratch that Majesty itch, or even if you have no idea what Majesty is, but are interested in a strategy game where you have to convince your units to do what you want, this game may be for you. But wait until the game is in a better state, then check back in. The good: The game has pretty decent bones. As far as I've gotten, the game play doesn't seem to be as deep as its spiritual progenitor, but it's got a solid game play loop. The I really like the art…

I really wanted to like this game, because I love the old Majesty game. TLDR - Majesty is 25 years old, and yet is still a better game than this. There were a TON of bugs, and still are, and while the developer seems to be trying to fix at least some of them, the game should never have been released in the state it was in. There are multiple major game-breaking bugs, from small things like achievements not triggering properly, to much bigger things like when heroes are in a party they never…

If you like and miss Majesty, if you hated Majesty 2. This game is for you. But there is fault. The voice acting is alright as per the other comments but the main things that really annoyed me was you couldn't get lost in the heroes stories like you could in Majesty. The AI is subpar but it does the job, they don't blindly go for flags, they will figure out the best route, go with buddies etc and they won't just attack the flag target until everything else around is safe. The issue with…

With this price, the game is definitely worth trying out. Pros: Pleasant graphics Gameplay similar to Majesty 2 Cons: I miss the automatic settings for less micro-management in the later stages of the game I spent more than 7 hours in the free demo, and I enjoyed it. I would have even paid \$10 for the demo :)

I can't recommend this game. Overall its Warcraft 3 styled Majesty 2 with several new features. If you like Majesty 1 and hate Majesty 2 the game is not for you at all Pros: - Graphics in mission looks nice - Gameplay itself is good enough for completing Campaign - Wave feature is good addition. You attacked periodically with monsters and by destroying lairs you lower wave difficulty Cons: - Ui and Art of this game is inconsistent and awful looking. It's Majesty 3, with some new features and returning narrator doing many of the voice lines. Game seems fun, abit rough around the edges but hope to see the game patched for bugs. Heros seem to wander wherever they want so you don't need scout flags to direct them, also alittle sad that they are limiting how far you can build from the keep, but a fun game none the less, 3 missions in, having fun.

Sadly, this game misses the mark of being a Majesty successor. Firstly, the heroes are horrible. The only hero that's even worth hiring is the ranger - thieves are straight up inferior in every aspect, and warriors are only marginally tankier. The only thing that can tank anything are the pets that rangers can tame, making them the only choice really. The other thing about heroes is their behavior - I've had multiple instance of heroes dying in the middle of nowhere by themselves despite being…

I never played majesty so apparently I missed something special, I did play this however and wow, why does this have a very positive review score? It doesn't deserve it, it's a massively buggy mess which often fails to complete a mission if you do anything even slightly outside of a scripted event or path plan. E.G you are given a task to scout to find a spider lair, you weren't sure how it all worked and ended up just destroying the damn thing instead. Level stuck have to restart, the same…

A decent game but to many bugs: Mission softlocks if you do objectives in the wrong order. Missions complete but you dont get credit on the mission list so have to repeat if you didn't save/autosave. Loading your game doesn't save everything so portals and upgrades disappear.

This game is developed by a russian mobile games studio. This game playes like a knock-off mobile version of Majesty 2. The pacing is high, the economy is trivial. heroes are worth very little. On top of these glaring flaws, it also gives an overall unfinished feeling with tons of translation errors and lackluster characers and animation.

I'm a big fan of original Majesty. While this game states that it was inspired by Majesty, I think what they really mean - it was inspired by Majesty 2. Which is fine, second Majesty is good as well, but not as good as the first one in my opinion. What I don't like in Lessaria: HEROES ARE ALL THE SAME. They are just some units that wander around and fight monsters. They lack any individuality. They are ALL boring. In Majesty 1 rangers would go exploring (and getting actual XP/levels for…

If I had to sum this game up in one word it would be "lazy". I was pretty excited to play a Majesty successor, but unfortunately, this simply doesn't capture any of the magic. Most of the new ideas they added to the formula of Majesty I actually liked. The new forms of income are all solid. The new units are good and I even like the unit tree's that you have to decide between (you can't pick them all). Unfortunately, that's where the positives end... The feeling of being a distant monarch, guiding my heroes without direct control, was genius. This game is a direct ripoff of Majesty but has even less than the original game. I miss Majesty too, and wish they would make an actual sequel or remake of it, but this simply ain't it. Its nostalgic for exactly 5 minutes before the reality of this AI slop kicks in. The game is not worth buying, not for $15, not for $5. Unless the developers add ALOT of new content to this game, and I mean ALOT, its simply not even close where it needs to be. DO NOT BUY. Its not worth the heartache.

+ The only good thing in this game is the old advisor voice, that's why I play in English. - Based on questionable Majesty 2 mechanics (thankfully the worst ones were cut out). - Absolutely uninspired, tones all over the place, some descriptions are very verbose, others are just a few words short - questionable pop-culture reference humor - Devs were lazy enough even not to proofread the English texts once: e.g. Succubi skills refer to her as occultist (or something like that), dwarfs are…

However, genre newcomers will likely enjoy the experience. As a bit of background, I've been a die-hard fan of Majesty nearly since its inception. I cannot recommend this game in its current state. From the very beginning, there are major issues with unit pathfinding – units constantly get stuck, making management frustrating. To make matters worse, after the latest patch, I can't even start the next mission, which is a game-breaking bug. The development pace is very slow, and bugs are not being fixed quickly enough. If you're looking for a spiritual successor to Majesty, this isn't it – the game is clearly unfinished and unpolished.

This is far more a spiritual successor to Majesty 2 than the original Majesty. So if you prefer Majesty 2, this has a similar feel to it. There are things that I feel are somehow less than the original, but also in line with the sequel. Heroes just seem so insignificant. When playing the original Majesty I hated it when one of my heroes perished. But with Majesty 2 I barely noticed. The same is true with Lessaria. The heroes just seem less personable. Lessaria doesn't have the same charm or continuity of style as the older game that it's emulating. Sound in the opening cutscene was desynced from the video, character art doesn't match the 3d models, text on screen doesn't match what's read, the tutorial tells you wolves are going to attack and then it's a whole zoo of animals instead. FIX THE PEOPLE MOVEMENT BUG DEVS!!! Ok, I said it. Now, I love this game - it is almost exactly like a Majesty 3 would have been. I am very deep into Raven2 with two 63+ toons (1 on PC and one on iOS) - but I find myself drawn to this game more and more. If you enjoyed Majesty 2 then I highly recommend this spiritual sequel.

Same game as Majesty, same positive emotions. Unfortunately has nothing more then the original game except of bugs. Those are plenty.

Doesn't offer anything new to this type of genre "Majesty Fantasy Kingdom". In fact, it is even less with artstyle, audio, and presentation lacking that certain charm and soul of what made Majesty great. I would recommend just playing Majesty and forget about this.

If you enjoy Majesty from the old days, and don't mind a single player only experience, you will enjoy this. They took the core of those games and just added some good QOL things etc. Even got the original VA of the guy who reads off the dialogue on screen. Survival…

Adding DLC for a game that barely had any gameplay from the get-go is crazy.
