Just finish the game for second time, the game does great on narrative, Every part of the game have a theme of itself, I can feel the emotion Lenin feel as I progressed the game. Sometime the game can be bitter and stressful, but the will of wanted reach a better end help me go through all of it. With some help of others. Even I clear the game twice carefully, there are still a lot of secret to figure. I am looking forward to future playthrough.

Lenin the Lion is a game with a lot of heart poured into it, and it shows. I hate to admit it, but when I saw a screenshot of this game on Twitter I was just interested in the art style, but this game is MUCH more than that (although it is pretty cute, too). Still, I have no regrets experiencing this game, and probably will do so another time. The characters grew on me and it was always intriguing (and also shocking) to find out more about our titular boy. Yet still, I couldn't shake the…

Summary I would not recommend this game because to me there is a lot of useless text, unnecessarily complicated explanations and amateurish elements, while the game itself has some really cliché takes on serious concepts like anxiety, depression and borderline. I do feel like there are more hidden meanings inside the main storyline (which my lack of unlocked achievements also suggests), but for me this game makes it too complicated to discover/unlock them, and it doesn’t really allow you to…

This story is about Lenin who is a Lion. This is a NARRATIVE RPG so sit back and enjoy the story as much as possible. It will take twists and turns and sometimes can be punishing. But don't fret continue on! Without going into details this game emotional gut punch me as I joined into Lenin's story. If you're looking for a fun story with good narrative choices then it's worth it. I HIGHLY Suggest listening to the beginning to prompt and use a keyboard and mouse because controller support can be…

I have mixed feelings about this game, but decided not to recommend this game since Steam doesn't offer neutral/informational option. Legend "+" means either "Positive" or "What I like". "*" means either "Neutral", "Informative" or "Mixed feeling". "-" means either "Negative" or "What I don't like". Visual/Audio + Fairly good pixel artstyle. + 16:9 aspect ratio rather than 4:3 which is refreshing for me. Adding top and bottom black bars on some scenes for a cinematic feel is…

This game has gone under the radar since it was released, but I think it deserves to be up there with the other RPG maker greats like Yume Nikki, Witch's House, Rakuen, etc. Like most games of this type, there's no turn-based combat, but it mixes up its gameplay with some puzzles and different minigames like matching cards and timing button presses. Overall, there's a surprising amount of variety in what you do in each area, which always keeps it entertaining throughout the 6-7ish hour run…

You play as Lenin the cute little albino lion with a depression. You do puzzles, mini-games, and you can guide the lion to the right path. The story is short, but with multiple playthrough you can-- take other paths, discover secrets, and unlock more endings. Every choice has an impact in Lenin's mind. Overall, the game is fun and amusing. Developer updates and responds quickly to fix bugs. ^^

I kinda disappointed. In the first time I played the demo, it has a lot of potentials in the story and lore. But after I played the full game, I honestly disappointed in all of it. The story is confusing. It does have emotional peak but not enough. The mechanic of the game is not though out. The assets in game are just mirror-like. The ending, which is the most important of the game is not satisfied and not very impressive. Sometimes i got bored playing this to be honest. And the save and load…

This game is just fantastic. >The music is so good that I often found myself doing nothing and just listening to it. >The story is fantastic, with characters that feel like real, with their own struggles. >The visual design of the game is very beautiful as well. Each part of the game has distinct colors and visual effects. >If you play with a mouse and a keyboard (as intended), the controls work just fine. (at least for me) >You have a lot of things to do and explore. The collectibles are…

Playing through the game it reminded me of games like Oneshot, Undertale and Earthbound. A mix between all of them in a certain way but with a very important thematic. Graphically sprites look alright. I really loved the art memories and small cutscenes during the bosses. All though some weird things happened time to time, like for example some bugged sprites appearing on wrong places. The story is really good in my opinion. One of the most important points of the game is the dialog and the…

A very short and sweet game. It wasn't as long as I expected it to be but nonetheless, I still enjoyed it. Even if my first playthrough only got me 6 achievements, i'm determined to figure out the rest of the game. The puzzles are sweet and the depiction of mental disorders are spot on. Lenin is such a sweet character and making the wrong options feels so out of it. I highly recommend this game to those who love puzzle games, lions, music, and cute art ~Spoilers are below~ The game however is…

This game surpassed all my expectations. I thought it would be simple, but it is full of detail and complexity. It's really beautiful and poetic. The world the game builds around Lenin during his jorney is really inspirational. It's a story about depression and the many perspectives you can get by how you decide to face it.

I've just realized I never wrote a proper review for this! To summarize my thoughts about this game: It is, hands down, my favorite game that I've played thus far. The art style is adorable, the story is tragically amazing and encapsulates anxiety and depression amazingly well, and the music is top tier! Not to mention, it has replayability with its endings and secrets! Overall, I give it 10/10, and urge you to try it yourself if you're curious!

Verdict: a great symbolical approach on dealing with depression, albeit somewhat flawed regarding some design and technical aspects. This nice brazillian indie game is worth a shot from those who fancy games focused on storytelling and tackling serious matters.

8/10. Well, this game is very... special. It has many great things, the story is nice and it has quirky humour, some RPG satire that I enjoy. On this note, I do like that the developer makes it a point at several points where you can make choices that there is not always a "perfect" solution, and sometimes whatever you pick leads to a bad situation. This can be frustrating... but I liked this game and was willing to put up with it. Sometimes, possibly because of translation issues, I think…

As someone who was accompanying this game since before the crowdfunding campaign, it is really satisfying to see it come full circle. The lore and fuel for thought is plenty, lovely, captivating and it REALLY hits hard on the feels for those who feel familiar to its themes. The gameplay although buggy at first, you can thank yours truly for the debugging of the 7th memory, it is really fitting for the game with the tools system, memories and boss pentants. All in all the game one of those…

I want to get the cons of this game out of the way, the biggest con is that not enough people are loving this game, the second con is that it's not featured on Steam; and my minor grievance is the lack of controller support which honestly isn't a huge deal I just use JoytoKey and it works good. The story and narratives are written very well and highly enjoyable. I do get tired of reading text a lot, but with Lenin the Lion even in the demo where I knew my progress wouldn't be saved I was…

Além de muito bonito, o jogo tem uma complexidade por trás, permitindo diferentes finais. It's a game that totally focused on the story. There's deep stories and fun characters to talk to most of the time. Then one of the most important thing about the game is that almost every choices matters and it can affect your gameplay and the ending. Other than that, the artstyle is cute. It's just cute and it fits the game entirely from top to bottom just like the music in the game. The music in the other hand fits the scenario pretty fine. Anyhow, there's glitch sometimes of course, but it…

Needs a better save system, but asside from that, just had a few bugs after first downloading it; after restarting my computer and verified the files, everything ran much better The story is really fun and sweet, dealing with lots of themes regarding depression and anxiety, and tackles the subjects really well in a way that's fun, cute, and very heartfelt. The english needs a little work, but asside from that, amazing game.

I loved the characters in this game as well. The graphics are charming and the soundtrack is really good. God, where to start with this game. I heard about it in 2017, the year of the demo release. I looked into a bit, watched a playthrough, and then that was it. I checked progress every once in a blue moon, but that was it. Flash forward to a few months ago, when it turns out that the game would be releasing in September. Needless to say I was ecstatic. As for the game itself...I'll admit many of its depression-related allegories were a little lost on me, but not misunderstood. This is a game…

You can finish the story in 2-3 hours I never unlocked 7th or 8th ending In general the controls feel unresponsive, there's long delay between each animation, even keypress -> walking. Performance at 4k on linux is rather poor. The scrolling is jittery 20-35fps even on good hardware The story idea is good, but feels a bit shallow. The quests/minigames felt a bit mediocre. The game, in general, is quite good and effectively reflects the internal emotions of the main character. It does a great job portraying mental health issues. However, one downside of the story is the lack of multiple save files, which can become frustrating—especially if you forget to perform certain actions. While I understand that the narrative wants to emphasize that it's okay to fail, it can be discouraging for players who want to see different endings but struggle with certain minigames,…

I have done 1 playthrough of this game as I write this review. It was a good game and, with the many save points, a nice game to play whenever I had some time left between other things. I liked the "old rpg" feel of it in graphics, while also offering a lot of freedom of where to go, who to talk to, and what plot points to unlock. It is harsh and emotional at times and it's not always clear from the choices what is the right option. I like that. The puzzles were also nice, also very retro…
