60 of 78 · most liked firstFor the price it's really great in my opinion. I love strategy auto-battlers. Only criticism is some stuff in not explained very well. Also managing 10 characters in the end can feel very overwhelming and time consuming, it kind of makes me neglect strategic choices in gearing a little bit if I don't really want to devote a ton of time figuring out what would be optimal. I find myself just throwing armor on tanks, swords and hammers on warriors, bows/crossbows/arrows on rangers etc without…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would like to recommend this game, because I am having fun so far. But I have 2 mainly 1 major issues. Let me start off with some reviews say the map is empty, however it does filled out via unlocks the more campaigns you finish. My big problem is VERY ROUGH TRANSLATION. In a game like this where there's of ton of abilities/synergy and you need to be very sure that something works a certain way before you commit, you can't have brutal translation. 2nd problem is a spoiler but Doing a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let's tackle the weird Steam Tags first: This game isn't a 4x nor a dungeon crawler and it doesn't use turn-based combat either. This is an auto-battler. The major aspects of the game are your army composition and formation, gear and synergies. During combat your only option is using a limited number of consumables. The only turn-based element you have to manage is present in one of the two play modes and it has low impact on the overall run: Time passes as you move from tile to tile and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Big fan of auto battlers, but the gameplay loop has a tedious midphase where you are just grinding for materials to upgrade your units in hopes of finding a winning combination. The map feels fairly empty and you spend just as much time searching for things to do as you do actually doing them. Unlock system feels slow/unrewarding - one entire run equated to a single unit unlock, and they are not fast runs. There are also some translation errors/missing translations depending on what you do.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was so excited for this and.. I just don't like it at all compared to the first one that I put like 40 hours into. I don't see myself playing this one anymore. Too many big changes from the first game that did almost everything perfect. All it needed was updated animations, translation and maybe more units/fusions. Having the overworld just adds tedium compared to the first game and ultimately less fun game flow. Units not being evolved anymore is a MASSIVE let down. It's the reason I liked the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is great until the level 5 end boss demon lord. Has the potential and I hope it is still being updated.Had a party that was mopping up and we lasted 10 seconds against this boss. WAYYYY too harsh a difficulty spike combined with a lack of real explanations for terms used means there is nothing in game I can do better. It is confusing to anyone but the author. I do not buy games so I can do more online research. Another frustration in the end.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kinda boring and has terrible English localisation. Refunded
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great Autobattler with different mechanics you have many different classes/skills, game changing items, emblem"traits" this leads into many different Builds "you unlock many new features on higher difficulty "like sub-classes, new classes, items, buildings and so on. Some quality of life features are missing "hotkeys for specific interactions, or auto-add/select feature on crafting, or better combat log and so on. but overall i like it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an outstanding game in my opinion. So many choices and options and if there's any game that actually hits roguelike as well at Faster Than Light, it's this game. Every game is similar and yet oh so different. You might go in with a plan of attack and the RNG will simply not let you accomplish it. As you prestige and unlock more "stuff" it hits the Vampire Survivor vibes like, really, do you want all the unlocks? You're making more options available at the cost of others. I'd like to see…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not ready for prime time. Game freezes. Not intuitive. Just doesn't seem polished. Even with the cheap price tag, it needs work.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thought the game play loop got repetitive after about twenty minutes.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A decent $2 game or less... something to run in the background during loading screens or something. There is just very little content and very little to do in the game. It kind of just runs a gameplay loop and there is not much downside to losing rounds so there's nothing invested in it. Not enough chances to play around with different lineups and figuring out what might work better or not. There could easily be more variation in items.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Legendary Creatures 2 is an ambitious indie adventure that blends dungeon crawling with creature collecting in a way that aims to capture the nostalgic charm of classic RPGs while offering fresh twists on exploration and combat. At its core, the game invites players to dive into a sprawling fantasy world filled with diverse biomes, dangerous dungeons, and a myriad of mysterious creatures to discover, tame, and battle. As a sequel, it builds upon the foundation laid by its predecessor by…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"A Content-Rich Game That Sadly Feels Hollow." I really wanted to love this game. I’m a massive fan of auto-battlers, and the addition of roguelike elements is something I usually enjoy a lot. On paper, Legendary Creatures 2 has everything that should make it a hit for me. To the game’s credit, there is a ton of content. The sheer number of units you can unlock is genuinely impressive, and the variety of weapons, spells, and upgrades adds a sense of long-term progression. If you enjoy…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Badly translated. Some of the text is still in Chinese.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →++Beautiful pixel graphics, decently interesting auto-batler, low price tag --Doesn't take long to get an idea of what all the content will be in the game, translation jank, quirky interface
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Guys this game is kind of minimalistic and simplified, dont expect too much. Definitely not some secret gem. Already spend 33 hours, but dont expect too spend hundreds of hours in this game. For me it was nice spending time in this game after long day at work. If u want something kind of easy going with a relatively fast pace, this is for u. It can also give u a bit challenge as u pass through the levels.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You navigate around a giant map, going from battle to battle, recruiting units and getting items, all while there's a ticking clock in the form of Miasma, which builds up and you need to keep it down before the final battle is impossible. Every unit is relatively balanced compared to the others in its subclass, although there's definitely more optimal options than others, although you can try out different strategies with other units' abilities after a few completions. You need to unlock a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought after playing the demo, great autobattler with interesting mechanics
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →so played to dif 3, can say this game feel like no point. unlocks feel lack luster. the units u unlock end up become the bane of ur bossfights. Would have been nicer to have some meta progression that did not make the game harder.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Being a fan of strategy games and auto battlers, I took a chance on Legendary Creatures 2. This game does not disappoint. The game play loop is slightly repetitive. But for me the class development and unlocks ( when you can finally offord some) keeps me interested. I truely love building characters / min-maxing and you can try a tons of different setups out. The map size feels right on, the large size and being randomized each run mix it up a bit. My only real complaint is the speed each you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, very active Developers. I really appreciate that they add QOL and Bugfixes in a tight intervall(3 Patches in a week, and each was noticable) The Core gameplay is a bit repetitive in terms of your goal, but the new unlocks with each playthrough even that out. It allows for a fair bit of party customization via Items and Skills. What I would wish for: "Auto"-Obtain for things that only have that option, and mod support(which is coming according to the Devs) Overall, it's definitly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a weird one, it's hard to say why I like it. It's in that niche of indie eastern games that are good enough to be poorly translated into english and it certainly has that charm to it, but I'd suppose that the appeal of the game is that is throws a bunch of familiar and basic mechanics in front of you and tasks you with figuring out the optimal team and build, even finding ways to break the game if you're lucky. I keep coming back, because I want to find ways to push it even further,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just finished my first run and i can't recommend this game enough definitely worth the asking price
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →diggin in yo butt twin
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First game was way more enjoyable. This is like an entirely different game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fine for what it is, but nothing special. I would try it out if it looks super appealing to you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun awesome sprites and i love the auto battler
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good auto battler that gives you a lot of freedom in exploration. I personally enjoyed the grind and discovery. It's not for everyone, and the pathfinding can be questionable, but I would easily recommend this to fans of the genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well worth the money. A play-through can take around 30 minutes. Very fun leveling up system, tons of units, skills, buffs, consumables. It is a bit repetitive and a bit too easy, but it's a great mindless game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not as fun as I expected
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good auto-battler, it doesn't seem like much at first but it's pretty deep with many viable strategies to progress through the difficulty ranks. With a lot of unlockables to collect it will keep you busy for a while.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The core mechanic of the game is good with auto battle, explorations, dungeon system, emblems, units and items,... But after play it for a while you realize you fall into a game loop with not much rewarding and content lacking to grow. Obviously the game need more contents and scenarios in the future like new maps, new mechanic, units, bosses,etc,... For recap, it can entertain you for a few hours, but in long-term just a repetitive with low replay-values game. But still a recommended game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a good auto battler the only thing it misses are metrics of different types to determine what goes wrong in a build. Lots of combos and build varieties, any unit you fight can be recruited even boss units.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite looking simple it's really fun. Each run is fast, you can finish it in 15 minutes if you want or build up and try to max things out. After each run you get crystals to unlock features and characters and items in roquelike fashion. Personally i like the equipment tiers and synergies the most, when you combine it with each of the diifferent classes (like at least 9? maybe 12? don't remember cus there's so many to keep track of) you get a seriously cool experience, trying to counter the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Buy This Game! -The President
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a roguelike autobattler with just enough crunch for me to want to keep playing it. It's moddable too, but all of the mods I've seen thus far are in Chinese. The synergies are cool, unlocking stuff is cool, the art is pretty cool, the difficulty curve's pretty good, and it's totally worth a buy. And also, for us to see Legendary Creatures 3.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty standard for an autobattler. Not very challenging and not pushing any boundaries, which makes it hard to recommend because it's not very polished either
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An autobattler, its a mid game, very short at the end of the day. You're limited to 1 playthrough per map generated. Needs a lot more fleshing out, more dungeon levels, more items, more everything really. Devs have't made any updates in a couple of years. Mods are there, but mostly in foreign language, and they do improve the game if you can deal with being unable to read the text.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Might be the best autobattler I've ever played. Extremely fun, great animations, lots of complexity. Easy recommendation.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is a great game to take with you when you have a lot of waiting to do. instant gratification and minimal effort minimal paying attention. this is perfect for sitting in a parking lot while your other half is doing a thing where there is no seating for you!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →7/10 Its a simple, yet complicated game. You can mindlessly run through until you get lucky, or you can plan. Its fun and engaging , addicting at times. Has some issues with clarity in descriptions, and some scaling and balance problems, but they didn't really hinder my enjoyment of the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lots of unit types Interesting spin on auto battler kinda addictive
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So addictive so much fun and so cheap what is not to love
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →never owned this game but it let me make a review WTF
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A game that seems simple has much more going for it. While the gameplay seems to be simple it has a good variety of characters, builds and itemization that manages to keep new games interesting. The visuals are good, the graphics are charming and it provides visual clarity of map, units and items. The only issue would be the font for UI that actually does give a too simplistic impression. I do wish there were more events and quests to do during a campaign and I hope it will be added in the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game, way better than I expect
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, worth more than the asking price
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The map gets very stale very quickly.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite a decent game for its price. But don't expect more from it; 10 hours is its maximum. The unlocking/purchasing of heroes/items is not well thought out at all, I bought at most 3 heroes/items out of 20-30 locked ones in each section. Everything else is junk (meaning there's no proper progression at all). But the core mechanics are pretty good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First thing to note: This game is very much an asset dump, using a lot of premade sprites and graphics. I don't usually consider that a bad thing, though, as long as they're being used in creative and interesting ways, instead of just being yet another clone of a more popular game, which this is thankfully not. It's also worth noting that the developer is making regular updates for this game at the time of writing this, so this current review may have to be edited later down the line. That…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great iteration of the obscure „open-world 3+1 boss rush roguelike” genre (I'd like to know if it has a name really). Challanging, diverse and passionate developer, do give it a try.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The translation from Chinese is bad... however, I think this is teaching me about Chinese sentence structuring.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it works. it's fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I only have two options available when I first play a new game: Fun/NotFun. This one is Fun. and I gotta say 'doh!' because I just found out you can cross the ocean in boats...I thought that was the edge of the map! Well, no one said you had to be smart to be a gamer, you just need to have fun. I got my butt kicked the first few tries here but after a while everything clicked and I was suddenly up to ten characters...and I keep finding new ones that I have to figure out what old warriors I'm…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked the first game which was almost full idle, second one is pretty good as well, more complex unit building has its own pros and cons. Only small issue was the game performance when you scroll out in the map. You need to disable the night light option to remove the lag. Probably wouldn't have recommended the game if I didn't find out how to remove the lag.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fun for the first two runs but the grind is too much after you repeat it over and over again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It has some flaws, translation isn't the best, some mechanics could be tweaked, but for the price it's great fun. One of very few strategy games where I actually want to try different builds. Plenty of stuff to do, enjoyable grind.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Der Preis und der Inhalt sind einfach klasse . Top !
