positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really Good Game, love the gameplay. BUT THEY ALREADY DROPPED IT. No updates for 2 years. The game is 4 years old. A joke.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's Total War battles with Crusader King campaign map, but both sides are shallower and not as satisfying. The concept is great, would have loved to see it fleshed out more.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fits neatly into the gap between Total War and Crusader Kings. The gameplay has enough stuff going on to allow some interesting shenanigans but isn't as overwhelmingly complex as paradox games. Easy to learn but still having some depth without being too confusing. Falls a bit flat on the battles itself but then again, it's not a total war game and it isn't trying to be one. I was and still am a big fan of the original KoH and i think it improved in just the right places. It's building on the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you start small, bigger countries will see your weakness and destroy your kingdom. If you start big, others will see you as a threat, team up against you, and destroy your kingdom. When you attack someone, they will get allies to help them, and your relations with everyone will continue going down. When someone else attacks you, they will get allies to thelp them, and your relations with everyone will continue going down. Your best friends and trading partners declare war on you and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR: It's amazing. Buy it. This game's strategy layer of the game is fantastic! I recently bought Crusader Kings 3 and I found that the game was just bad and boring. CK3 is a degenerate scheming noble simulator and NOT a strategy game. This game, however, IS a strategy game, and it does this VERY well. The battles in the game aren't going to be like a Total War game(no other game is), but they're pretty good, and focus a lot on morale and formations rather than slaughtering all enemy…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you hated spy actions targetting you in KoH1, here you can neuter them. But the game has serious flaws in gameplay. For example vassals endlessly drag you into wars they start and can't win alone, so vassals are not worthless - they're actively detrimental. The UI is simply inferior compared to KoH1 as well; you cannot see what a town is doing without clicking on it, nor what it produces. A towns appearance doesn't really change either. This whole business of being forced to have someone…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's like Total War and Crusader Kings had a child, but it's not as good as either. Tactical battles are crap compared to Total War and there's not much depth on global map either. My biggest problem with this game is that there's no indication of time passing - it doesn't even show which year it is ,lol. No seasons change, nothing. It's like devs forgot about it. Unfortunately it's too late for me to return the game and I bought it on sale. Can't imagine paying $45 for it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't bother, just bought it for 2 pounds.. Still won't bother playing it. Abandoned and unfinished.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THIS game is the perfect thing to play if you are into medieval strategy games AND don't like the complex gameplay of Crusader Kings series or Europa Universalis series. This game is perfectly balanced in that way. Also, I'm a bit biased as I'm a long time fan of this series and played the first game since I was a kid. 😜
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Masterpiece, I Highly recommend it. I am going to start modding this and create a Optimization and AI mod for it and more and maybe fantasy mods if possible like my own world. This game in modding offers alot and im very supprised no big mods made for it yet.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lords of the Realm 2 meets Crusader Kings. It's a weird combo to be sure, but man do I miss Lords of the Realm 2. So much so that I'll play this happily to recapture the experience. A fun game, if somewhat flawed. But I'm biased here.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →>Start the game as Poland >Not 5min into the session, the Pope wants money for a crusade >I send the gold >The requests repeat several times >Not actually requests but demands >More money needed >I send gold since I want to be on the good side with Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ >Visiting Rome & appeasing clergy is now a full-time job for my lvl15 cleric >Crusaders keep getting obliterated >More money needed >Somehow paganism spreads everywhere nonetheless >More money needed >At least the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's unfortunate because I really wanted to like Knights of Honor 2, having enjoyed the first one a long time ago, but it just feels like this game is just trying to be Crusader Kings 3 and Total War at the same time and being mediocre at being both, and that's the worst place to be The fights in this are so much less satisfying than total war fights. I just watched my knights roll into archers and there was zero impact, which honestly was the final straw for me. It doesn't help that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is really good. It is deep enough to offer plenty of strategic options yet not on the level of EU for example. The music, graphics are all immersive. Highly recommend this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Personally i bought this game because i am a big fan of an original KoH,its my childhood game. For the persons who will buy this game for the same reason as me this is a banger we have been waiting for a long time. For those who never played KoH its a fun and easy to get grand stratetgy medival game.It is just so easy to play and get started that i think its is biggest positives for new players comparing it to other greand strategy games wich all of them has deep and complicated mechanics. For…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →honestly pretty mid, if you wanna play a game like this just get total war on sale. they gave up on it, it shows, it had potential, but its climax has passed for a while now.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly one of my favorite games, if you are looking to enter the RTS genre but is confused and don't know where to start this is a great option, even after having other games like CK3 or Bannerlord, Knights of honor still stays as one the best for me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recall playing Knights of Honor when I was a wee lad, this one, fulfills the expectations. Still one of the best games when it comes to pillaging and having a medieval experience, not everything is about the city, but also villages on the side. The only drawback, from what I see, the game did not receive a single update since 2024 and that is unfortunate. There is a lot of good stuff and replayability is high, mechanics are fun and engaging. Could be better.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great Game. Very entertaining and not too involved. This isn't total war if that's what you're looking for. It leans more into the macro than the micro of battles. Worth Picking up
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Before we go forward, it's not a bad game by any means. Just not my cup of tea. It's not Crusader Kings, it's not Europe Universalis, it's not Total War. It's somewhere between all of these. My main gripe with it is the that it only allows 2 armies to join a battle and army sizes are capped. So doomstacking is allowed. In any of these other games doomstacking is penalized hard (with supply systems or diseases) but here it's just forbidden. This means that tech rushing and turtling is the best…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Faster than EU, more Arcade'y but with depth. Very fun, enjoying with friends...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Knights of Honor II: Sovereign is back with Patch 1.8! 🏰 We've redesigned espionage and rebalanced mercenaries, making them more viable throughout the early and mid game. New QoL features, an alternative battle UI, and several bug fixes further improve the experience.
unlabelledView post →A mix of bannerlord and Ck3. IF you have ck3 and would like to play it in a more direct and less stressful storyline this is for you. if you play bannerlord and want a different loop between battles this is a good choice. Its a unique mix of Turn base and realtime in one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Barebones, boring. Lacks the expansiveness / grand strategy depth of paradox games. The actual battles are rock paper scissors and janky as hell.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a decent strategy title, but it has a lot of rough edges holding it back. Tips: -Follow the in game starting suggestions in the royal library -Gold income is everything -Get one early barracks -Tactical battles aren't very fun or rewarding. Better to stack the odds and stick with the auto battler. -Don't vassalize. The mechanic is so poorly implemented that the vassals end up controlling YOU!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very easy to learn, lovely chilled game which isnt perfect but very enjoyable for those total war and paradox grand strategy lovers. Great for playing 1-2 hours at a time for those with other commitment. So glad I found this gem.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very challenging when you start with only one town. Every decision is crucial. Even just refilling a squad could cost you a game. Knights of Honor 2004 is literally my childhood. Never in my life I thought they would make a second game. I am grateful for every single bit of it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →in my opinion the developers failed to capture the magic of the original KOH. This one game seems messy and hard to keep track of the events and activities. There is just to much stuff going on. also, i am not a fan of the scrolling method.. in general I am not very impressed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game but combat is broken, i have 1800 strong army of Swordmen, spearman, archers and cavalry, against 2400 peasants and lost. my leader had 4 combat skills trained and theres 1. need fixing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game was bandoned? when is the next update or something to improve the game wtf?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a worthy successor of the original, very good, reasonable sandbox options, workshop support... worth every dime if you liked the original.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun, lots of different ways to win which make it unique and full of strategy, but not as complicated as some other strategy games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Welcome Sire! I feel like the core gameplay loop is somewhat better then Crusader Kings 3 base game, There are less events around your royal family for instance and everything resolves around your court. Which can be added via DLC in CK3 as well, but it plays way different.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just wanted a modernised KOH 1 with much better stability. It's what we got and I'm really happy with it. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to people who aren't fans of the franchise at it's full price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[Humble] Humble Choice: June 2024. * A Guidebook Of Babel * Empyrion - Galactic Survival * Knights of Honor II: Sovereign * LEGO® 2K Drive Awesome Edition * Miasma Chronicles * Risk of Rain 2 * Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical * Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector Autocharges on Tuesday, June 25.
unlabelledView post →Personally, the first one is much better than this one.. i waited almost 20 years for this game... im disappointed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Over 800 hours played. It is an awesome game in regards to more fighting and less micro management.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Imagine it as a baby of Total War and Crusadar Kings but neither loved it nor nurtured it..... If you played either it will be far less than you expect, but if you didn't you might find it a fun arcarde game. There are fun breaking parts with limited building space but you need three buildings prior to getting one building or that you need so many resources but resources are so limited that you must go to war. But, when you go to war then everyone goes to war with you, more and more defensive…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, wish AI had more strategies and brain, but overall fun to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very well-made second installment. I would even say that it's more of a remake, because there aren't many changes, but that doesn't matter at all. The game works great and is very entertaining! I recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sovereign is a good balance between a grand strategy and immediate tactical combat. The game’s heart is the Royal Court, which, by forcing you to choose between limited slots for marshals, spies, or merchants, manages to give you a manageable system of specialists without sacrificing any of the strategic part of the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Playing it as standard without modding provide enough challenge. After conquering more than 250 regions by force, the gameplay become so tiring yet satisfying. In the endgame, all you need is a lot of marshals (8 armies) with high replaceable troops trained to become legendary, going by pairing of 2 armies, and a scholar to appease the population by giving charity, resolve cultural difference..and voila, you beat history. A truly satisfying historical fantasy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game but holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crap pls fix the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ai it is making me hate the game and not want to play I have conquered over 75% of the map merely because countries keep declaring war on me but because of a crappy mechanic of war exhaustion i am getting screwed over the cycle I keep getting is get declared war on by minor nation (single province that entire military can't even come close to mine I go conquor them Maybe get a IRL minute of peace (rarely happens) then instantly get…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game. Very underrated. Very fun, and people who criticize it probably didn't even play it properly, or are not fans of strategic games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty meh, its a good idea just not really fleshed out. The RTS combat is rough.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have great fun learn the mechanics! it's like mini CK3 and mini Total War merge together.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →my favorite RTS cant find anything like it :<
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Married my son of to get a part of norway for when I assasinated their king! Great game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →too superficial, no real depth
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Poor interface. The first part is significantly better.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are many problems with multiplayer gameplay. Please add servers or delete the game if you don't fix the server issues.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →my playthrough of this game >play as lennister ireland with all historical settings turned on >ulster starts getting invaded by england, sends army to help >Ulster is invaded by scotland, send army to go help (do not want superpower neighbors yet) >connaught trys to invade while helping ulster >ask munster, powys and gwynedd for help they all say no >let connaught pillage until the siege is broken >asks ulster to help they also say no (ok bro cool) >send army to fight connaught, have to play…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fun, but I wish it supported Arabic.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crusaderkings without the boring part
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I highly recommend this to any RTS fan. Simplified Total War or Crusader King game, that you will enjoy most of the time spent in entire one playthrough. Its not a quick game that you will finish in few hours ... my first playthrough was around 11-12 hours long, and I enjoyed it most of the time. - Visually, it looks really good - Gameplay is very easy to understand and enjoyable; many interactions and possibilities you can do with your kingdom/country with others/ to others - Music is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun grand strategy game. not too focused in anything and just right "to chill". This is Paradox Interactive's games little casual brother and that makes it awesome!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →27.5 hours in, this game is like when the q-tip hits the perfect spot. It's engaging, increasingly complex and the learning curve is endless. Absolutely loving it so far.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The autobattle system is completly off compared to the first game, I just do not undersand it and it completly put me off the game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic Game! Definitely an Improvement from the first Game Its so much fun don't forget to add the More Marshals mod to make things more interesting!!
