Build up your cities, train armies (up to 9 units + commander unit)/ The town building system is pretty strategic, you must dedicate towns either for building units, producing resources, or you can try to make a balanced town, depends on your needs and local resources. Most of the units are trash, try to conquer provinces with cool local units like Man-at-Arms, Longbowmen, Knights, Jannessaries, etc. The kingdom is managed by your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still one of the bests, maybe the best strategy game and the only example of its own kind. Real time strategy game and country management at the same time. There's no other kind of game exactly like this. It's so surprising that how a 2005 game can be this much complete and detailed but it is. On the other hand it's very unfair that this game stayed underrated. And very unlucky that Knights of Honor II wasn't released yet, actually it was supposed to be Knights of Honor V to this day but…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this game for the first time when i was 6-7 years old. My dad showed me it, taught me how to play and woke me up at the weekends to tell me "Son, wake up. Knights of Honor is waiting for you". He would let me play on his own saves, explaining how to play the game step-by-step. We had an old PC back then, that took a considerable time to load the game. But now I am the emperor of Europe.. and it is thanks to my dad. Let the sun always shine on him.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In Steam is an old not up to date full of bugs and problems version of the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not everyone likes real-time in thas way, but I absolutely love it, solid sprites and graphic, gameplay is just for me
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has a special place in my heart, since it came out. Every once in a while I return to play some more. So what is there to like, you ask? The graphics were not very good even when it came out, but it's easy on the eyes. After some time it grows on you. Personally I very much like the touch where the city is not generic for all nations. The sound get a bit repetitive after some time, but it still help you immerse. The narrator is insanely good. Frankly, when a friend of mine had a baby,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Knights of Honor II: Sovereign is back with Patch 1.8! 🏰 We've redesigned espionage and rebalanced mercenaries, making them more viable throughout the early and mid game. New QoL features, an alternative battle UI, and several bug fixes further improve the experience.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hello emperiors! This game is absolutely great, even if it is that old. This does not matter. I enjoyed, loved and put my whole heart into this game when I was younger. I still have it on CD as well, that why I don't have as many hours on here. But I was really addicted to this amazing game. I would even say that this title is better than the newest one called "Knights of Honor II: Sovereign". But this is only my opinion. Do I recommend this game? Yes, definitely! Precious game. 10/10…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Some time ago me and my bestie were talking games and she brought this one up. And told me it was one of her favorites. I my self had an eye on it for some time but now i need it to try it... and wow. This reminds me a lot of Total War Shogun 2 (The campaign map) in fact it's feels like an evolution despite this one coming out seven years earlier. I only played for a couple of days but i'm treating it like its Medieval 3. For my first game i chose Brittany and decided to make a strong alliance…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I played this game again recently, I thought that I might not have liked it and that the existing positive feelings I did have about the game were simply nostalgia. However, I was pleasantly surprised that Knights of Honor still holds up to this day. The art style is charming, and the game has an amazing soundtrack that really makes you feel like a ruler of a medieval kingdom. I like the soundtrack so much that I even learned how to play one of the tracks on the guitar. The game does have…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →8/10 Knights of Honor is simpler than EU4 or Total War, but that makes it fun and easy to pick up yet still deep. The sequel is good too, but the first game has a charm the second one doesn’t. With the HD patch it runs fine, though the UI is tiny on small screens. Works great on a full monitor and keyboard. I don’t bother with the battles since Total War does those better, but the strategy part is really fun. A true classic that’s still worth playing today.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of the most fun retro game that I've played. I didn't buy this when it first came out. I was busy with other life things during that period. So, there wasn't any nostalgia going into this experience. This game is simplified compared to say EU4 or Total War, but this is a good thing because sometimes complexity doesn't always add value. This game is a good example of 'simple yet deep'. I became interested in this game due to the release of the second game, which is also good, but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i just bought the games recently but cannot play it i cannot even select the play button because i cannot see on the pc it was stucked on the first page the one with a pictire of the castle
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fabulous game for its time, far ahead of others at the time with a stupendous, wonderful, spectacular, emotional, engaging and captivating soundtrack like you rarely see or hear nowadays, and above all much better than its later Knights of Honor II: Sovereign that came out in 2022. Although today we see the problems that exist in this fantastic game, such as the ease of AI, or others, there are much more positive things here than in the new Knights of Honor II: Sovereign.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun little hidden gem. It's a bit like if Stronghold and Total War had a baby. This is a paradox title, which means you can conquer Denmark. 9/10

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →SHORT REVIEW : a beautiful old gem, a mix between Total War and Civilization where we need to manage our empire through economy and warfare. After many years it's still quite fun to play, especially for old RTS lovers. > Gameplay ( 8.5 / 10 ) : starting with a few cities, our goal is to conquer as many lands as possible. We have to manage each city investing in buildings that will increase wealth or allow us to train units and trade with other countries to gain gold and precious goods. To…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i say it plainly knights of honor is an awsome strategy game where you get to manage your own medievil kingdom. the game offers deep stratagy gameply, from managing resources and building armies to engaging in diplomacy and epic battles. the graphic design although old keeps me really immersed in the medevil wourld as well as the soundtrack, and the challenge of expanding your empire and outsmarting rivals keeps you hooked. plus, theres a lot of humor in the interactions between character that…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I cannot even begin to describe how much I love this game. When I was in my late teens 15-16 years ago I spent many many hours playing it. I still love it and look forward to KoH 2
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Knights of Honor is a prime relic of mid-2000s Euro-jank, published under the Paradox umbrella back when they specialized in pushing out unpolished, half-cooked strategy concepts and leaving them to rot. The premise lures you in: a seamless blend of grand strategy empire management and Total War-style tactical battles. But both halves of this equation are utterly botched. The tactical battles are practically unplayable—the pathfinding is an absolute joke, units ignore attack orders, cavalry…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Knights of Honor is a richly layered medieval grand strategy experience that blends empire management, diplomacy, and real-time warfare into a cohesive and surprisingly accessible whole. Developed by Black Sea Studios Ltd and published by Paradox Interactive, the game transports players to a vast recreation of Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East during the High Middle Ages. Despite its age, it continues to hold a distinctive place on Steam thanks to its thoughtful design philosophy, which…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great classic, you start playing and you get hooked to it... Fun no headache and the fights are quite good too. At the asking price you cannot go wrong.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Reviewing game I played a long time ago: Very good grand strategy game that has a good mix of depth and accessibility. At the time I was too much into Europa Universalis 2 and Medieval Total War to go really in depth with Kights of Honor, but when I did play I got addicted really fast. It's great and plays great on the Deck!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This startegy game is one of a kind.. Combining RTS with brilliant historical atmosphere and resource management. If you like Crusader kings but find the diplomacy too complicated and you also like the total war series but find the turn based approach boring then this game made be for you

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Knights of Honor is a gem among grand strategy games, seamlessly blending depth, accessibility, and immersive gameplay. Developed by Black Sea Studios and released in 2004, it offers a captivating journey through medieval Europe, where you control a kingdom’s rise to power through diplomacy, warfare, and economic prowess. With its unique real-time strategy mechanics and vast replayability, Knights of Honor remains a standout title in the grand strategy genre, earning a place in the hearts of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm enjoying it as much today as 15 years ago. The graphics have aged well, the only issue is that you need to install a mod to make it run on modern devices.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite being old and ugly, this game is still better than it's sequel in many ways with an addicting gameplay loop
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10/10 Yes, I need ALL of Europe. Medieval RTS involving all of Europe? Say no more. You do not speak badly of this historical gem. Black Sea Studios Packed a punch like no one else back in the day.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was really difficult for me at first. I started and quit half a dozen times thinking the mechanics were broken. The economics was difficult at first. A hint for beginning players: set a couple of merchants to trade (after you have established trade requests with several countries) and LEAVE THEM THERE (at least for a while). They gain more gold as they become more skilled in that country. Once I figured out the economics this game became very interesting. The limitation in the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It says 1.1 hour. But that is not true. Pre steam. I played this game to bits. It is a fond childhood game of mine. It is a charming RTS game. And one of the first at the time where you could conquer europe in such detail. So if you want a cheap and fun game. buy this. It has loads of charm even after years. It still got that charm. Or you can try out its sequel that just came out (dec 2022)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Paradox's official moderators on their CANADA department are racist. I was waiting for an apoligize but nothing happened yet. So the games which made by Paradox are done for me. Lack of update support , screen support was mess and game probably may not work on my pc after all due to unknown reasons too.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A game I loved dearly was ruined by a racist company like Paradox. Don't give this company your money. They need to apologize to Turks first.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Games are good but publishers are racist and they lost %20 of their fane base would not buy if I were you you see there is alternatives to buy for single-player games :)
