They are either too weak to do anything unless fully leveled up or are their attack rates are too slow. Being slow and weak to do anything unless upgraded to a lvl4 tower isn't very optimal. Same for the heroes, they just can't hold up in the higher levels unless they are fully upgraded to lvl 10, which is only feasible if you grind in heroic and iron challenges for…

Kingdom Rush 5 is a wonderful continuation of the game/franchise/story, lovely art work as always, great maps and hidden secrets on the levels. Base game is a little shorter than the original but with the 3 DLC's added on it reaches about the same amount of levels. Achievements all work are add a nice variation to some levels too. All 3 DLCS are great additions with new tower variations and champions added along with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been playing Kingdom Rush since it was a flash game on Armor Games. This is the first one I would not recommend. Terrible terrible map design, insane difficulty levels that are horrifically unbalanced. Towers are effectively useless until level 3 and even then they're garbage. Upgrades cost a fortune and upgrades are totally useless. The smallest mobs in the game have tank health. It's like they did no balancing during play testing and basically said it's fine. The first KR in particular…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ironhide is turning into the greedy DLC spammer just like all these corporations, in the old days, Ironhide would release free updates and never do DLC's. Now, its all DLC's and maybe 1 free update.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the first Kingdom Rush game that I bought for PC and also the first KR game i have not 100% completet. The game looks as awsome as the ohter KR and I didnt encounter any bugs. BUT I dont get why you guys at Ironhide hate the old tower system so much. Yes, I get more tower variety... but for WHAT when I can only use 5 and they all dont really feel much diffrent. In the old games you only had 4 with a tree at stage 4 splitting it in 2. So you had a variety of 8 towers in 1 game.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As someone who grew up with Kingdom rush from a young young age playing it as a flash game with my grandad. this game is simply not the same, I like the core concept but there are a few issue that ruin that kind of vibe the old kingdom rush gave. 1. there arent really unique enemies per zone that force you to consider what Towers youre using, you can kind of just spam the same few towers and win the game easily. you dont have to go into a mission and carefully consider what towers youre…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I did not expect this game to be a short one and too much DLCs to be bought. Sad to say it degraded as it progresses and I regeret buying this game on Steam.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Compared to the older games, this one is way too easy. I beat most levels on impossible difficulty on the first or second try. Quite boring and not challenging enough.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Other reviews said it better so I'll keep it short. Its a 6/10 not worth the money. It lacks content and innovation and is no better then the previous games, arguably worse in multiple aspects. Its DLC's do not fix the core problems with its design, gold based difficulty, bosses instantly destroying or disabling towers, etc. They do add more content which this game is notably lacking but also increase the price which is already too high. If you want to play Kingdom Rush the previous four games…

unlabelledView post →Better than the previous game, but still not as good as the first 3. Again, tower spots are scarce, routes are unusual, routes change, so you have limited options. That was not what made the first 3 good - there you could put towers almost anywhere, and the puzzle was balancing them, choosing your choke point, etc. In many of these current levels there are entire routes with no option for proper choke points - 4 towers within range. Please, go back to the style of the first 3 games. *Just…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprisingly good after the mediocrity of Vengeance and abomination of Legends. Very easy though, needing self-set restrictions to keep it challenging. (Pity we can't go straight to impossible, this is the first KR game where i've cruised through Veteran.) Edit: I originally snarked about how much these games have increased in price while decreaing in quality over time, but as i've gone through the post-campaign levels i've really appreciated how complicated and dynamic the design has become -…

I’m genuinely addicted. While the first two games still hold a special place for me, I’ve enjoyed all entries — and Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance TD proves that the series is not only alive, but evolving in the right direction. What immediately stands out is the difficulty spike. This…

Proud for finishing the base game for Kingdom Rush 5 tonight so we will take this glorious victory to bed! Thanks to everyone who stopped by, love and appreciate you all 🍻
unlabelledView post →Its great to have the iconic characters back but, this is just weird with the changes, Its super annoying to have towers disappear. You have to work on improvements on rewarding players when a situation occurs, it isn't great to play losing your stuff, perhaps losing your towers but then something mini game to return it back with skills sort of? Its just feels stressful and not fun to play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeah so, I AM recommending this, but with some important caveats. It is a) beautifully designed b) humorous, c) intuitive. However, the base game is very short, the upgrade tree very easy to complete, and I didn't really feel any incentive to grind through the achievements or impossible levels etc. Not loving the idea of paying for more levels as DLC content, but that's my personal choice. There are probably too many heroes if anything, so again no incentive to max out the early ones, you are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Level design is atrocious: no chokepoints and no difficulty = no satisfaction. Most heroes are near-copies of one another, and therefore uninteresting. Some towers are fun, but footmen, for example, are almost unplayable. Overall, it amazes me that this game — the sequel to a very good series with clear successes — still fails to replicate, let alone improve, the formula. A true disappointment
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a great PC tower defence game. I loved previous ones but this one isn't great. Every lovel or two you're unlocking something new which gets very overwhelming very quickly. There's no way to speed up waves either. It feels like the game was made for mobile and then ported over to PC.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fun but seems the games are getting shorter and shorter
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Review of Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance TD 6/10 Overall it has been a good experience to play this game. Personally I have been very hyped and excited for this installment and I did unfortunately not find that it lived up to my expectations. The theme of an alliance of good and evil, and of having two heroes is unfortunately not explored very thoroughly. If you are looking for a Kingdom Rush game this is it. If you are looking for THE Kingdom Rush game, this is not it. Main campaign 6/10 The main…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kinda disappointed on a number of levels. This isn't the first version of this game I've played, and I have played quite a few TD games. There's a lot of variety on towers and champions to play and that's cool. But some are just wildly stronger than others. It means you can just spam one tower on basically every level and win. Same with heroes. Ranged are just massively stronger than melee, and flying is even stronger than that since they don't die. Also Melee is handicapped since it's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My #kingdomrush5 progress so far. All levels completed in Veteran mode difficulty.
unlabelledView post →Yes it's good. It's still a fun game. I don't like the pricing change. You used to buy the game and the extra levels just came out for free when they came out. Now they're pay-for DLCs.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Took like 20 tries but I finally got past level 14 Corruption Valley in #kingdomrush5 on veteran. I think the Heroic and Iron challenges of this one may take days. Which is good! I hate when games are too easy. ⚔️
unlabelledView post →If you are looking at reviews for this game, chances are that you have already played the other entries in the series and would like to know how it compares. This is probably my second-favourite game in the series after Frontiers. The art is fantastic, especially the music, which features some absolute bangers. Gameplay-wise, it reuses the tower system from Vengeance. It can be a bit overwhelming since you are constantly unlocking new things while playing, but all towers have their…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do your self a favor and dont buy it. Its not like the older ones.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's the weakest game in the Kingdom Rush series but it's still worth playing. The upgrade trees are not categorised as well as before and I find using two heroes at a time unappealing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing art, music, addicting gameplay. Nostalgic for me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beat Kingdom Rush 5. Another fun tower defense game. Not sure why I love these but I do. Started playing Rise of the Ronin. Like 2 hours in and it's decent so far. Waiting for it to really pick up. Also picked up Mandragora on sale. Had my eye on this one for awhile. Excited to get into it.
unlabelledView post →Loved the 5th part of the Kingdom Rush series, loves the new ideas implemented. Does the game has flaws? Yes. Is it perfect? No. Is it the best game of Kingdom Rush out of all KR games? No. and most importantly, Does it still have the same feeling while playing as the original KR game? YES!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not much to say, its fully functional, but it's pretty boring, everything feels to slow, stages feel like they take to long, towers feel like they don't deal quite enough damage, even when completeing a stage it feels like it takes sto long. I felt the strong urge to refund this after an hour but decided to push through and finish the game, thinking maybe it would get better, I was going to do all the extra missions but after beating the last stage I was so thoroughly bored I had no interest in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR: A solid but unspectacular entry that fails to match Vengeance's impact, with frustrating dual hero lane management, uninspiring towers, and a whiff of pay to win undermining the familiar fun. PROS: ➕Similar engine to KRV - good graphics/art/technical side ➕Similar progression as KRV - new heroes/towers/passive tree CONS: ➖Covering lanes can get frustrating with two heroes and no big cooldown ability ➖Double hero controls is cumbersome, with no ability to change bind ➖Numerous DLCs…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kingdom Rush 5 Alliance is a masterful addition to the game. The game shakes up its traditional formula with excellent dual-hero mechanics and diverse tower loadouts. Great for Tower defense purists, micro-management fans, and long-time series completionists. The visual design strikes a beautiful balance between high-quality, professional assets and the franchise's signature cartoon charm. Maps are highly dynamic, featuring vibrant biomes like deep forests, arid deserts, and dangerous caverns.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →one of the best Kingdom Rush games in my opinion! I had such a blast playing it! it just looked sooooo good
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game but far too short compare to KR Vengeance. Half the game is behind paywall.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →4/5 from me. If you like the other games, this one is good but maybe not as good. 25 stages playable without the DLC for a bit over 10 hours on Veteran difficulty going for all 3 stars. 15 stages locked behind DLC that is pretty in-your-face as they show you the DLC heroes/towers/campaigns in game before you have purchased them. Previous games rewarded you with upgrade points for doing the 4th and 5th star challenges. That is not the case for this game, and I think that is a move in the wrong…

I only just found out about it so I completed the main game and all the dlc. I enjoyed myself thoroughly with this one. A fair and balanced tower defense game is hard to find these days.

The balance is so good that it only made mu punch my table so hard that it caused my coffee to spill all over table and destroy all my peripherals and chargers on the table. Literally the most expensive game I ever bought, 330$ down the drain plus 20$ for this terrible game that I wont ever turn on.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance is the 5th game of the series this game has everything you dreamed of for tower defense game. Also, the 6th is in works so, be prepared. However, this game has a new addition that is to play with 2 hearos in each single level where in the previous games it was as test thing that you couldn't use, it was just in some levels, and you couldn't chose the second character where they chose it based on the story of the game. In the end, this game is for those who wants to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was really sceptical going into this because of all the reviews that said this game is far worse than the first Kingdom Rush when it comes to difficulty, but I must say they were wrong. I admit that I changed the difficulty to impossible in the game files, and I feel like we should be able to select that from the start, but nonetheless the game was a blast. Managing two heroes takes some skill, but feels rewarding when done right. There is a lot of towers that are cool as hell and fun to use,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played all of the series. It's good games but they don't inovate at all and so much cash grabs - DLCs, different purchases on different platforms(pc, phone etc), most maps very small and waves too short (cant even max out some of the towers even with many slots emty), many towers available but can only equip 5.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best instalments in the kingdom rush franchise. Fun and cool looking heroes, amazing soundtarck, amazing artsytle, and challenging enemies to fight against. Even though kingdom rush genesis is on the horizon i still hope that KRA can still get more updates since the Ironhide has already became more big than before
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very aesthetically pleasing game, very well put together and fine tuned. The experience and excellence from previous titles is ... excellent :) At the same time the title suffers from quite unbelievable amateur-level UI design flaws such as hiding the button to quit the game (yes really) and or deliberately reverting the quit yes / no buttons... My guess would be that the artist doing graphics is a genius, devs are close to ingenuity, but they all have kind of a bit child-like manager, who…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a glorified mobile phone game, play it on your phone if you're bored, its got a terminal case of console-itis and shouldn't REALLY be on steam even. Doesnt properly support ultrawide as a result.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall, the series of KINGDOM RUSH are really excellent and attractive.I am so imersed in it because it has many abundant and legendary heros and every hero all have their own stories and special skills. These heros together make an epic and wonderous world. It is really interesting and I always have fun for it.Aslo, these are some interesting towers you can discretionarily use them.In all, kingdom rush has brought me so many fun and ideas.I think it is meaningful and significant for me. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another great Kingdom Rush game by Ironhide. The two heroes approach really enables you to do a lot with microing and positioning, I really enjoyed the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Towers are really fun and unique. Heroes are awesome. Art style is sick. The silly quotes, jokes and references we all know and love are still there. Ironhide has been making their campaigns challenging again over the last year or so, Alliance is a blast. Don't listen the oldheads whining about the game, it's great. A lot of their criticisms don't actually hold up if you play through the game xd. (Maybe before the extra campaigns and towers were added, definitely not now.) I wasn't a massive…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ironhide deserve the positive review for this one, It's a big leap in improvement compared to vengeance, the two hero mechanics is fun, altough it does require more brainpower so I tend to blank stare the screen instead of moving my second hero. The upgrade system is good too, wayy better than vengeance upgrade system, still it would've been better if you're rewarded based on performance instead of a flat 3 star reward every level, definitely make heroic and iron boring without the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was unplayable for me. It started in the wrong screen size with the 'options' button somewhere off screen. 30 minutes of browsing forums, the internet, and seeing Dev's suggestions for this common problem mostly involved going to %appdata% and scrolling through the Explorer tree then opening settings files and editing them in notepad, which didn't work by the way, leads me to believe they may be experts at graphics and gameplay and god knows what else but they can't figure out a way…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my very favorite parts of #kingdomrush5 is the voice acting. It’s always been great in this series of games but I particularly love the voices of the dark reinforcements who just happen to sound like LEGO Batman to me. The casual cruelty of the voice of Raelyn is also top notch. “You have my permission to die.” 😂🥹
unlabelledView post →All things being equal, I’d rather be playing #kingdomrush5 right now.
unlabelledView post →A very good edition to the game, general playstyle and dlc levels are really good. The only comment that i can make is that the heroes that are unlocked close to the game's end are much better than the rest, which makes the game feel a little unbalanced in some occasions. I should be able to complete all the dlc levels in any mode with vesper or stregi etc. not one of the late dragons or wukong. Other than that 10/10!
