37 of 37 · most liked first16 hours to play the main game on Normal difficulty, plus the bonus levels. I did not get all the achievements, that would take more time. This is one of my favorite Match 3 series. What I love about it is the lightning circles (my term) that fall randomly in some levels. They have arrows in them pointing diagonally, vertically, or in all directions. When you make a match using one of the circles you get this crashing lightning sound and the arrow flies through all the tiles in it's way…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, I just finished the main levels and played a few extra levels. As a fan of episodes 2 and 3, I bought HoH 4 on day one and was very pleased with it. I did the same again of Origins, and was somehow disappointed. Not because the game is bad; simply because it's not on par with its predecessors. Starting with the story: there's barely any excuse for a story here. HoH 2 through 4 all had basic but adequate stories. Here, the introduction has nothing to do with the rest of the game, which is…

Heroes of Hellas Origins: Part One: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There were many tribes who settled in Hellas (Greece) and all seemed fine and dandy; life was peachy as they coexisted happily in God’s country. Beautiful cities were built all around Hellas under the watchful eyes of the God of the sea, earthquakes and horses . . . the one and only, Poseidon! But…

I played it and when I completed it for the first time, I realized that days had passed and that the first week of march was gone. I'm super impressed by the ability of this game to make time fast forward. If you like me, you can offer me the two other games from the series that were released so I can continue my researches regarding time travel. You can also do that if you hate me, so I lose one week of my life and wake up wondering how the duck it even…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good time waster. The graphics leave a lot to be desired. The music has hardly changed since the very first one and gets very annoying so I turn the sound down. I have played all the Heroes of Hellas' and there are better ones to play than this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is very additive. I love it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Heroes of Hellas Origins: Part One is a polished and content-rich match-three puzzle adventure that leans heavily into mythological flavor while refining the familiar mechanics of the genre. Developed by Jaibo Games and published by Alawar Casual, the game serves as a narrative and mechanical foundation for the Heroes of Hellas saga, aiming to contextualize its puzzle gameplay within a broader mythic framework. Rather than simply presenting disconnected boards, it weaves progression,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played 3 and 4 before and I like them, so I decided to get the bundle on sale (4€ for 1&2). I like this, because there is more variety than in basic match 3 games and the graphics are nice. I don't care about the hidden object scenes in between some levels, but there are hints to help you find the pieces that are too well hidden. There are 3 difficulty levels, and I like playing the one with no timer as I don't like timers in games. There is a sort of a story, but in practice you just play…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Some of the achievements are @$##*(g ridiculous. 100% achievements may take someone more than 100 hours, iff they can unlock all or them. I will pay someone (wallet contribution) $20 to record yourself reaching 7000 in a gold fever level. I can only seem to reach 4500. Their are MANY timed levels for achievements, but no visible timer!!!! WTH? So a player can keep trying to beat a time for a given level even though the player has not been close to the time needed. I would be more likely…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I normally don't like chain-to-match M3 games because the mechanic is so much slower than the usual swap mechanic seen in most of this genre, but decided to try this out since the series has been well received for a long time and I liked the underwater theme. The scene gets a bit cluttered eventually, but it's pretty and the 108 levels are pretty challenging. I do wish they hadn't made most of the boards where you are literally repeating yourself over and over; after a while, it's not really…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fun little game that you can play at your leisure I play a couple of boards stop for a while and start back and the game doesn't forget where you stopped. If you like the matching games then you will probably like this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →perfect match game. lots of levels, all challenging but not impossible. very enjoyable and stress free game play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is obviously an older game so the graphics are not the best. That being said, the game is just not as enjoyable as 3 and 4. Skip this and play them instead
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoy playing this and all the Heroes of Hellas. It's fun. And you have to use your brain to figure things out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A lovely and relaxing game with a vibrant underwater world. The animations are beautifully done, complemented by soothing sea music and enchanting effects. Collecting shells, gems, and other treasures adds a nice touch to progression, making the sea kingdom feel alive! The story is simple but enjoyable, and each level brings something fresh and interesting. A sweet mermaidy experience that’s easy to sink into!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun. Lots to look for, match, destroy, and see revealing other items. A single 'instance' can have 3-4 reveals that offer more matching and chances to be engaged in looking for chains.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love match 3 games. And the variation here were you 'link' the tokens rather than moving them is a welcome change. If you like this type of game, it's as good as any. Have played other Heroes of Hellas and this is typical of the genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice quiet game with visually challenging mini-games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's lots of fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is crap, if u want to buy it for achievements, DONT DO IT!!! The game seems easy but it requires a long time of grinding. GRIND? in a casual game? What? the developers just dont respect their players... fc u JAIBO and ALAWAR
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like match games and hidden objects you will enjoy this game. If you love Mythology you will enjoy it even more.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun addictive game, that can be frustrating at times, but you never want to give in
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm pretty sure this game predates Best Fiends, but you can think of this in the same gameplay style as Best Fiends but without all the free to play mobile crap. There are over a hundred levels of jewel line matching goodness, while gathering resources to rebuild Atlantis. I enjoy it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another brilliant and relaxing heroes of hellas title! Definately a must play!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →casual, and fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is a fun Match 03 game with a few variations - the art is nice and it plays pretty well - the only thing keeping my from giving it ten stolen cheese wheels out of ten is that that Hidden Object part of hte game suuuUUUUuuuucks - the objects you need to find are too hard to see, like green items on a green background - i always have to take ten minutes since i need to wait for the Tip Bar to refill so i can finish the Hidden Object game - 08 out of 10 stolen cheese wheels, but it goes down…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- Nice graphic theme and background music. Easy and simple, the game mechanic makes you play hours. The power-ups + bombs strategy to unlock gems works well. The few hidden object-like minigames are quite difficult : the pieces to find are very tiny and way too much blended with the background. It makes it boring and not challenging at all. Downside : impossible to deactivate completely the hint system. When playing, if you wait only 10/15 seconds without any cursor gesture, the game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very RELAXING and PRETTY. this game is TOP NOTCH and excellent quality. It's got ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Have been playing Hellas 4 for some time now and didn't know there were more of these. Steam showed me the others and have all of them on this PC. Really enjoy playing these time wasters . The graphics are good and the sound effects are pretty good as well. Really like that I can choose between time or relaxed.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Time limit but good game anyway.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An enjoyable Match 3 game, just like the others in the series. Nice music and visuals. Interesting puzzle layouts. The only things I didn't care for were the occasional hidden object games which were a) a pain in the butt and b) broke up the flow of the fun I was having with the Match 3 puzzles. Expect around 14-15 hours of gameplay, not including the bonus puzzles. UPDATE: Works fine on Linux with Steam Play / Proton.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great Match 3 game with an underwater theme! I am going to purchase and play the others...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice and relaxing game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →love everything about it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very pretty, relaxing game. when I play match 3's I like to have an un-timed mode to just chill with & the music & sounds are very soothing. If that's the type of game you're looking for I recommend this one.
