21 of 21 · most liked firstSo... After 8 hours I'm nearly done with the final level and I thought I'd take a break and post a review. I bought HoH4 on day one, which I never do, because HoH 2 & 3 are my favorite casual games. (Skip the first one, it sucks.) Overall I'd say it's close in spirit to HoH 3, except it has the same sliding puzzles as HoH 2. But contrary to both, it doesn't have any single hidden object scene, and that's really disappointing because HoH has some of the coolest hidden object scenes in any casual…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even though I'm officially recommending "Heroes Of Hellas 4: Birth Of Legend," I'm actually on the fence about it. The gameplay is mostly OK, the graphics are acceptable for a Match 3-ish type of game, and, since it took me 65.5 hours to complete it with all Achievements, the $6 list price means it's certainly worth the money. My so-so feelings for the game can probably be attributed to my angst over a few of the Achievements and some minor technical issues. - It's possible to put the game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is nice but for the steam-achievments it's getting a thumbs down from me. For one achievement you have to play 60 level without quitting the game...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you liked the previous three Heroes of Hellas, you know what you're getting. A pleasantly mindless matching game with a hokey mythological story tacked on. I know that might sound a bit condescending, or as if I don't like the game, but the opposite is true. Sometimes it's good to just detach your mind from everything else, and seek the help of the heroes to destroy all obstacles to releasing treasure chests!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really cool Match3 game with a mythological story. There are 7 maps with around 15 levels or so and a bossfight at the end of each one. In addition there are also some bonus levels so i think it should be around 150 levels altogether. The game itself was very enjoyable and i really liked the music. Achievements all worked but some of them are ridiculous difficult and it was actually a chore to get some of them. You have to finish the game at least twice to get all of them. Still would recommend…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun and relaxing to play. Love that you can do it with no time limit.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Completed the game + the 30 bonus levels in 17 hours with timer. However, I completed only 54/70 (77%) achievements, because some of them are just ridiculous. Anyway, that's not the point. The game itself is pretty nice, I relax myself listening to music and playing this game. The time wasn't a problem for me, I completed every level (with little exceptions) in under half the time. I recommend you this game if you have some spare money left. I firstly played HoH when I was like 8 or 9 y.o. and…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Heroes Of Hellas 4: Birth Of Legend is a polished and approachable entry in the long-running Heroes of Hellas series, offering a familiar blend of match-3 gameplay and light mythological storytelling. Developed by Jaibo Games and published by Alawar Casual, the game is clearly designed for fans of casual puzzle adventures who enjoy steady progression, colorful presentation, and a sense of narrative motivation without overwhelming complexity. It embraces its roots confidently, focusing on…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun cascading Match 3 style game with a casual mode to disable the timer so it's totally worth it. The entire series from the beginning has been very well done.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THE GAME IS CRAP, DONT BUY IT or other games from this developer .!.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've put a solid 14 hours into this game with more to go. Definitely nice to kick back and enjoy at your leisure and free time. Dig in, you might like it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly despite looking dated its a neat puzzle game. Hermes seems to be a complete troll on reshuffles though. Nab it on sale or try one of the other entries in the series. If you're craving some old puzzle nostalgia, as for me I am going back to Bejeweled 3.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is going to require a bit of explanation; I'm ultimately giving the game a thumbs-up, but if you are an achievement based gamer, then I would most definitely NOT recommend this game due to the insane amount of grind required to 100%. Is it fun in small doses, or even for one or two playthroughs? Yes, absolutely. But you'll have to play through the bloody thing at least four or five times to get all the achievements, and to get the "Sunlike" achievment, I had to use the level loading…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Time limit but good game anyway.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →find this game very relaxing, good graphics and good story
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While I found the story to be completely uninteresting, the puzzles were engaging, challenging, and very enjoyable. Expect 14-15 hours of playtime for the main game and about another 3 hours for the bonus puzzles. Recommended for fans of Match 3 style games.
