What people are saying
A short, unique puzzle platformer with clever mechanics, but bugs and brevity divide players.
Players praise the game's core mechanic of screen-wrapping and its inventive puzzles, calling it a 'unique and charming game' that is 'fun and relaxing'. [27][1]
However, many criticize the game for being too short (around 1.5 hours) and for having bugs that can break progress, with one player noting 'game breaking bugs' and another saying 'the game only save' issues. [31][2]

Utilising the four corners of the screen as its main mechanic, it may make players feel disorientated, but it does not overstay its welcome. I appreciated its intuitive puzzles and quirky style. If you're looking for a short and unique puzzler, I recommend giving this one a go. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun puzzle game, unfortunately I experienced multiple glitches where the character would completely disappear off-screen and fall out of the world while doing puzzles. I found no way to reset my character other than exiting to the menu and having to replay all of the puzzles. The first few times I was fine with this, but by the fourth time I experienced this glitch and lost all my progress I gave up and stopped playing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the experience is short and replayability is rather limited. The design, sound and concept are original and unique.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Four Sided Fantasy is a cool little platformer where you explore a mystical world. Story: The story of Four Sided Fantasy is minimal at best and non-existent at worst. You play as a guy and a girl who are a exploring a mystical world throughout the four seasons. There's really nothing much to say here as the story is one of those where the visuals tell the story and everyone has different interpretations on what the story meant, so I'll just keep it at that. Graphics: The presentation of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked Four Sided Fantasy years ago when I played it on a different platform. However, I unfortunately can't recommend the Steam version due to its bugs. There are various game breaking bugs in this game, and I couldn't even complete NG+ because there's a spot where the game just doesn't register the floor and I keep clipping through it, falling downwards and having to start over from the very beginning. This isn't in a puzzle yet either, this is during one of the long walking sections in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a cute one-mechanic puzzle platformer of the Braid variety. It's challenging, casual, and fun. Normally I'd give it a rave review. I hate it when I have to write a bad review for such an incredible game. To quote Brian Kernighan, "Everyone knows that debugging is twice as hard as writing a program in the first place. So if you're as clever as you can be when you write it, how will you ever debug it?" The authors were too clever for their own good with this game, and it shows. There's…

Game Difficulty: Easy to medium but sometimes you may get stuck for a while until you figure it out. Achievements Complexity: Complete the game and find the secret area. Achievements Difficulty: You may need a guide for the secret area.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's better than Call of Duty: Ghosts.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a scenic puzzle platformer where your running the entire time with smooth aerial controls giving me the option to slow down and enjoy the game or speed run it. why cant they all be like this????
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a console ported puzzle platformer with puzzle gimmicks related to the edges and corners of the screen. Graphics are presented in a simplistic but tasteful "low poly" art style. Insulting to PC gamers, the console port is poorly done and prompts you with console peasant controls even if you use KB+M. Adding injury to insult, the game maps PC gaming peripherals (HOTAS, Pedals, Racing Wheels etc) as if they are console peasant childrens toy gamepads. This makes the player move…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a short puzzle platformer game but with fun mechanics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very pretty game with a simple but interesting mechanic. Only one moment felt a little jank, otherwise the gameplay was smooth and intuitive. The primary and almost sole reason for the "No" recommendation is that this is not a $10 game. I would be happy if this was a demo for a $10 game, but I was able to fully complete the entire game (going in blind) in less than 1.5 hours.

unlabelledView post →Interesting. I think this is the first puzzle game where I really questioned if I actually solved the puzzle correctly. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the mechanics of this game and art style isn't bad. But there seems to be...a tendency to feel buggy. I managed an entire playthrough with only a few eyebrow raising "was that a bug or an intended mechanic" moments...except at the end when I got softlocked (I think?) during my New Game+ playthrough. Except somehow I already got the New Game+…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome indie game. Clearly took inspiration from Braid in their art style, but beware that this game is much shorter, and there is not much story. Puzzles are very doable, and levels are short. Each level has its own mechanics that are easy to understand. There are a couple of "What the hell is happening" moments in a good and fun sense. The ending and credits scenes are top-notch. So be sure to stick around for that.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Four Sided Fantasy is a short and sweet 2D puzzle platformer, which is a genre I am kind of burnt out on but this one hits the sweet spot in a lot of ways. The $10 price is a bit much but it frequently goes on sale for $1 which is well worth it for this game. The game is good because its core mechanic is good: freezing the edges of the screen to create a wraparound teleporting effect when passing through, familiar to an Asteroids style (I'm not that old I swear). This simple mechanic of…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a short game with a neat NG+ that actually shows you what was going on the entire time when you played it. Whoever programmed it is a madman. I feel like this is a game that was made to nudge game developers to think in this manner. The more I kept going, the more I realized it was exploring a huge number of possibilites with something as simple as the edge of a screen being the mechanic. The game certainly is more of spectacle than a huge puzzle challenge, but here's how I think of it:…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is 1h30 min long. So for most people not worth the 10 € price. As an experience its worth playing. It's kinda like the first portal: a prove of concept more than anything. All it needs now is a game that actually utilizes the ideas this one has.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is honestly enjoyable and very zen like but with multiple flaws, i'll make a list, PROS: -Nice Soundtrack -Runs Smooth -No DLC -Achievements Work -Fun unique gameplay -Really nice story CONS: -Can be buggy -really short (2 hours if you take your time and play through twice) -some menus can be annoying -controller support has issues all in all though I enjoyed it, for how short the game is I would never buy it at its current price, i'd wait for it to go on sale and I mean a BIG sale.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZ9cyEB-owY&feature=youtu.be&t=344 I have a fondness for puzzle games where the puzzles in question involve thinking about your own perspective and where the spaces around the character you control are part of the puzzles themselves. And Four Sided Fantasy perfectly fits the bill. It takes the decades old screen wrap concept of Asteroids, wherein you can steer your ship off one side of the screen and have it reappear on the other side, and remolds it into a neat…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am extremely glad that I bought this game. It’s a cute little puzzle platformer that plays with the dimensions of your screen. You enter one side and come out on the other one. Each level is unique and even though the game mechanics remain basically the same (WASD + Ctrl) the developers were able to find a unique way so that it never gets boring. It took me an hour to finish the game and I don’t regret any minute of it. The setting looks artsy and cute. There is no real story, but I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Giving a unique and new look at Puzzle performers in all the best ways. The story goal is simple, you play to reunite with your partner throughout the seasons. One of the may nice features the game has to offer is the mechanics, it is quite brilliantly done, it plays well and is a pure joy to experience. The game starts out simple, but the clever platform mechanics keeps things new and ever changing to keep you on your toes, a new but fun change of pace. The game really does play well and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's good. Fairly short, but the puzzles are light and enjoyable. It goes on sale for 90% off, don't buy it when it's not on sale because if you see my playtime I've 100%ed the game so yeah. Glad I got it for free, a decent experience, but not worth paying much more.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a pretty good puzzle game, I like the calming OST, the visuals are simple but pretty and not distracting from the puzzle process. But I can't recommend it because of the bugs- the flipping mechanic where your character flips from one side of the screen to the other is quite buggy now and then, leading to characters disappearing, clipping through objects, falling through floors, and so on. In the final series of puzzles my character somehow disappeared and I wasn't able to get him to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the gimmick: You can fix the picture, so your character can exit one side and enter the opposite. But from the start, it is hard to see any solutions. Still, I can recommend it on sale because it is quite short, around 1- 1.5 hours long
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ouch. My brain isn't made for this. Was struggling throughout and am very sure I will again when I replay. Interesting, original, challenging, and recommended. Less than 4 hours would count as fast for a first playthrough I think.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Four Sided Fantasy, developed by Ludo Land and published by Serenity Forge, is a puzzle platformer built around a deceptively simple but highly inventive idea: the edges of the screen are not boundaries, but tools. Instead of treating the limits of the screen as constraints, the game allows players to wrap around from one side to the other or manipulate how the camera behaves, effectively turning the frame itself into part of the puzzle. This single mechanic forms the backbone of the entire…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very good puzzle platformer lite. Not too long or too complicated. Original game mechanics (Alternating between a scrolling platormer and a fixed screen platforms by pushing buttons). Get it on sale since the content is a bit short.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice and creative little puzzle platformer with a lot of heart that'll keep you busy for an hour. Play it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A basic puzzle game with an interesting premise. If you can pick it up on a sale, its a nice and relaxing few hours.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really enjoyed it and felt a little challenged at points, though mostly a quick and nice puzzle game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/UzkAFmtlt2g Satisfying use of border wrapping builds a clever puzzle platformer with simple control and rewarding progress.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is quite a novel experience with a cool gimmick. The problem is its price tag and playtime. Within 1 hour i have 100% completed the entire game. With no real replay value and it also being quite forgettable overall, I cant really recommend it for its current price.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Several times in the first hour (which is the majority of the game!) I got softlocked (out-of-bounds) and had to forcefully quit to menu and restart the entire current level. Bugs and glitches are to be expected with the games mechanics, but easily triggered accidental softlocks should have been patched out. I don't recommend buying this game separately. If you get it in a bundle or for free, you can spend 1-2 hours doing alright puzzles in a short game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was enjoying it until I kept getting softlocked in the last area.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was a really cool concept! Really liked it the music was very nice too! Very easy to get the hang of but by god my brain hurtss
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short Answer: A clever puzzle game that's a bit rough around its screen-wrapping edges. Overall fun gameplay that escalates in complexity at a good pace, but rather short and marred by bugs/glitches. At just under 2 hours to complete, it's well worth picking up next time you see it on sale. Long Answer: Four Sided Fantasy is a puzzle game about pushing limits and breaking boundaries--literally, as the game's central mechanic lets you freeze the camera in place and allow you to wrap across the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this game free on the 2021 Yogscast Jingle Jam Tiltify bundle. Now I have seen and played many different puzzle games, though this one offers one of the most unique gameplay experiences I've ever had in a puzzle game. You have to actually think outside the box and really think about how to solve the levels. Not to mention, with the amazing gameplay and puzzles, the game is visually astonishing! Really beautiful for a 2D puzzle game and the music to go with it is relaxing and just overall…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was not what I thought it was going to be. I didn't like that it only told you 2 buttons to push but nothing about the concepts. You had to figure it all out yourself. The music/sounds were too loud and you couldn't turn them down. Turning your own volume down still barely helped this. Thankfully there were only 5 levels. I hated how long level 1 was compared to the rest. Too much of this game made me rage. There were some glitches where the character would just fall through the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game's pretty short, but it's also impressive. I didn't see any abstract puzzles and it was a fun time. My main gripe would be the lack of hard load locations.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pretty good, short puzzle game with a pretty unique mechanic. Kinda similar to Fez.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boring. Not my style game at all but easy 100%
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →FSF feels like a demo for a game I'd really have enjoyed playing. I completed it in under two hours (while holding a fussy baby), and at no point did a puzzle call for more than a few minute's reflection. The only point at which I got stuck on a puzzle turned out to be due to a bug--something hadn't loaded and what I was trying to do was actually impossible without reloading. I ran into two such bugs in my play through. That said, this is a promising premise for a puzzle platformer, and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, right off the bat, I'll mention that I enjoyed the game, but the unskippable credits (you also can't leave the game or pause or anything) leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. I didn't even realize it was unskippable the first time because I watched it all, but the second time, I really had no desire to wait for five minutes with nothing to do. So, that taken care of, I enjoyed the game. It took me two hours for the main game and two hours for the New Game+ mode. I enjoyed both and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →4 Sided Fantasy is best described as... a short puzzle platformer - and when I say short, I mean short. Expect about 90 minutes of gameplay with no replayability. Is it worth it? On sale, I would say yes. At least 50% off though. There's enough here to pique interest, the main mechanic of the game is unusual and fun to work with. The action gets a bit repetitive on some levels, you'll at times find yourself saying, "Oh yeah, this again..." But there's also plenty of "a-ha" moments and a sense…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fun little game, with a very tranquil atmosphere. The core game mechanic was completely new to me, and it made for some nice puzzles. I had expected the game would also have some more challenging platforming sequences, but it doesn’t, it only contains puzzles you can solve at a leisurely pace and there is nothing wrong with that. The game is a bit buggy, I accidentally managed to get myself stuck on several occasions by somehow moving outside the map, which should not have been…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun short game. Really novel controls. Warning: When you hit horizontal split screen you can glitch such that you can't continue and have to quit and restart. On horizontal split screen you can totally glitch into the ground and skip some puzzles. All together it's a fun little game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Four Sided Fantasy is a pretty solid puzzle-platformer. It's the type of game that has a singular interesting concept and explores it extensively through different variations. As such, it's not bad; the puzzles are challenging enough, the art is pretty and I really like the way that it makes you think about the positioning of your screen window. I would really want to see something like this implemented in a more "complete" experience, because it was interesting enough of a mechanic to warrant…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very relaxing game. Figuring out how you have to freeze different areas of your screen to solve the puzzles is mostly very easy, but still very rewarding. Graphics and Sountrack are very nice, The game is rather short, but if you get the game on a discount it's still worth it. - sometimes you get stuck and have to restart a level - Safe points for when you actually quit the game are not clearly communicated
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow, this is a short and relaxing puzzle game which requires creative thinking! I recommend giving it a try, can be completed in around an hour.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like the concept of the game and the artwork is beautiful. However, the number of bugs is just annoying. Playing for an hour, I had to restart the game 3 times due to bugs disabeling one of the two screens that you use to solve the puzzles, making me stuck. After the restart I also had to start at the beginning of the level which also annoying. It came to the point where I was just affraid to use the split screen because the game would crash. So I would say fun game, if they fix the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This Platformer is a neat proof-of-concept: you can freeze the screen at any time, allowing yourself to walk off one edge and onto the other side; you can wrap vertically, as well. This is almost purely a Puzzle-Platformer; the only thing that can kill you is the static texture, which doesn't move. There are 5 different chapters, and each use the mechanic in a slightly different way. The mechanic is never really explained, but with one slight exception, it's very easy to figure out what it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful game with well made puzzles. Mysterious plot. I kind of wish the ending was more satisfying.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow. What a unique and charming game. Takes you a few minutes to get used to the concept - and the game is non stop moving / solving puzzles. It makes you think. But it doesn't drain your mind. I'm finding it nice and relaxing. A fantastic way to pass the time or to break up long AAA gaming sessions. Worth a look if on special.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recommended. A minimalist puzzle platformer where the screen edges act as portals, reinventing that single verb across four season-themed levels, and the reinvention never runs dry. Batteries turn the warp from a movement tool into object manipulation, gravity inversion flips both world and screen position, and the winter levels cycle between background and foreground planes with superb fluidity. The escalation keeps surprising, recontextualising everything before it, and flat colours,…
