60 of 97 · most liked firstI REALLY want to recommend this otherwise-fantastic game, but I just can't it in its current state. Here is how I would improve it: 1. add an "undo" button with unlimited turns, all the way back to the beginning. It's very hard to keep track of continuous changes you made, and if you find that a previous position (if you're already well underway in solving a map) would have been more advantageous, it should be made easy to return to progress that you reached earlier, instead of having to redo…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is like cheating on a test, you just copy the steps from somebody else who's smarter than you because you can't figure how on earth this thing is supposed to work.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Typical lights out concept put into hex mode. Basically you have to fill all tiles with color but when you flip one it changes all adjacent tiles as well so keep that in mind. As simple as it gets it's a ok puzzle game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This sequal is a much more difficult version of WayOut. While there are not as many puzzles, they are much harder. Just lke WayOut, they add complexity as you move along them. If you have not played WayOut and are considering it, I'd suggest getting the first one to wet your feet. These are not simple puzzles like Oik or Zup. They take a lot of thought to get the solution and much more effort to do it with the least amount of moves to make it perfect. Helpfully, there are guides posted in…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game has no tutorial or instructions, but it's actually very easy to understand. Some levels are pretty hard, but puzzles should be like that. Simple, beautiful and fun little game after all.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Made and published by Konstructors Entertainment and GrabTheGames, "WayOut 2: Hex" is a sequel to the first "WayOut" game based off the logic game "Lights Out" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lights_Out_(game). I suppose they call the title that because all the puzzles are provided by a "map", in which completing one puzzle unlocks the path to the others until all of them have been cleared but like all sequels, it's naturally harder and more complicated with the hex-shaped buttons Here's the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wayout 2: Hex is a minimalistic, pointless puzzle game where you just flip the colours of various hex tiles (and their adjacent tiles) by tapping on them on your iPhone screen. Oh wait, while this looks exactly like a mobile app, it's not on the app stores where it belongs. Anyway, incredibly shallow experience, once more we're faced with the eternal question about why Valve doesn't bother with quality control. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you want to pick up a puzzle game to relax, I would not recommend this one. If you look at other reviews, they recommend this game for "easy card farm" and "achievements to customise your profile" (it has bunch of achievements with letters, so you can spell something on your profile if you like stuff like that). But both of those things don't mean "nice gameplay". Very fast this game transforms into annoying and you start brute forcing solution on levels. It also doesn't have tutorials for…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →absolutely congenial game! the rules, controls and a gameplay is so simple it just require no explanation but don't be fooled how easy you can go through starting levels as the next ones are just becoming terrificwhen there are as there are so many hexagons you just cannot count every their co-influence i love puzzle games that are made this way, have played them a lot - i can recommend this one too - its done with proper quality
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR: I wanted to give "Wayout 2: Hex" a chance after I was not satisfied with the first game, and this one fell below my expectations too. All the things that frustrated me in the first game, the same problems with it are still present in this one, and they even got worse. I think the two games are almost the same, which is normal, but I'd expect certain problems with the previous game to be addressed in this one. The game started pretty nicely. As I ventured deeper into the game, I…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3/10 played for about 15 mins, the rest is card farming
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wayout 2 is obviously the follow-up to Wayout. It's still minimalistic in presentetion, and you still have to clean the board by clicking objects which affect their neighbours - however, this time they aren't squares but hexagons. This change requires a surprisingly different playstyle - additionally, the game doesn't mess around with easy levels at the beginning. As we have now only half as many levels, the eventual game time is similar. Great game again - recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was sure it is another easy puzzle game that could be fully solved in an hour. ...4 hours later I realized how wrong I had been. Rules are simple. The game also looks simple. But it is not. It took me long hours of struggle to complete the whole set of levels, and I had about half of them done with perfect movement. I finished the other half with little help. Actually I don't see any pattern in many levels, so I have no idea how one could possibly solve it with a minimum amount of steps. To…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This follow-up to WayOut follows the common approach for sequels to tile-based puzzle games of changing the tile shape - as the game's subtitle suggests, instead of squares, puzzles here are based on hexagons. Aside from that, the game imports pretty much all of the mechanics and tile variants from the first game - not necessarily a bad thing, but it means that the game doesn't feel quite as 'fresh' as it might otherwise. Notably, this sequel presents a significantly tougher level of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A simple puzzler. Nice visuals and great soundtrack. Real challenge comes after the middle of the game, especially with this new hexagons tiles. Overall it's a good sequel to a good puzzle game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR A simple but decent Lights Out game in a hexagonal grid, ~70 challenging puzzles. [13/20⭐, 14h🏅, 4/5💡] Context WayOut 2 is a Lights Out-style game on a hexagonal grid, and a sequel to original square-grided WayOut. Writing There is no plot, the game is completely abstract. Aesthetics The visuals are simple and abstract. The default view is isometric but can be changed to top-view (although I didn’t find the isometric view cumbersome). The soundtrack sounds decent initially but gets…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unlike the previous WayOut 1, which was already hard. Hexagon linked puzzles are very much ' Harder ', especially for the later half of the game and to ' Perfect ' within limited moves. The only word could describe my sentiment is ' Cancer '. " The more you press, the worst it gets ". Still lacks a convenient way to ' rewind ' or backspace a wrong move. Grateful for community guide to help clear few of the harder ones which unable to resolve personally. Decent puzzle but seem too hard…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good puzzle game to exercise our brain. Also the strong point for this game is the achievements. You can use this achievements in your achievement showcase.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wayout 2: Hex is a very addicting, fun puzzle game. Pick it up if you like complicated puzzles.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wayout is puzzle game that help you to develop perseverance and patience. It starts quickly and progress to hard levels with geometric progression. Honestly - I got stuck first time on 6 level. Nice atmosphere and music will help you to move on and find new and challenging blocks with new mechanics. By the way, the game has 40 achievements in the form of letters and numbers that you will receive as you progress through, and collectible cards. If you want to stretch your brains - you find the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great little puzzle game, note that the puzzles do get difficult later in the game. Really simple to learn, you click hexagons, which turn off/on the ones around them, and the goal is to turn everything off. Later in the game different types of hexagons are added that react differently when clicked, or modify others. Worth the low price tag if you enjoy these types of puzzle games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played on Steam Deck. About the same as the first game but about 2 sides more difficult. The music and background are nice similar to WayOut and the same mechanics are used just in hex form.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't be fooled by its minimalist style, it is tricky and can be annoying, if you are a fan of these style games you'll like it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wayout 2 Hex if u just want to figure out 60 levels go ahead there is nothing unique of this game there is not much just puzzling so u can have little fun through the couple levels after that it is gets boring or u want to do it for achivements so I recommend it for that

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Try 'n' Error Simulator I've played a lot of hard puzzle games. I like those puzzle games where your best option to succeed is thinking hard about the level before you even begin. This is not one of this kind. In Wayout 2: Hex your best option to succeed is try and error your way through out of this game. It's really not obvious which buttons are to be pressed. There are many many buttons in each level and the correct solution is press this one, this one, this, this and this... You never have…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/_wYXHfQLy4E Building upon the classic 'lights out' formula this game offers numerous challenging levels in that style. It does that well, but 'lights out' is just far to simple to stretch over hours of play.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wayout 2 from wayout series. Simple hexagone another step of level from Wayout one, a boxy push puzzle. Some level are easier or harder than the first game. Bought it for 25 cents on sales. Easy at first more and more chalengging towards the end. Seems good
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Difficult puzzle game with an interesting concept.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The field consists of high and low platforms. The task is to lower down all platforms. The difficulty is that when you lower platform all neighbors, that contact with it, change their position to the opposite. Gameplay is thoughtful, there is no timer, no hurries. Consider only the number of moves spent on switching platforms when completing the level. Levels become more complex with time. A great way to train logical thinking. Game provides the best conditions for it. No timers,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the kind of puzzle game that keeps your brain working. I went into Wayout 2: Hex expecting a simple puzzle game, but it turned out to be much more engaging than I expected. Every level makes you think differently, and solving a difficult puzzle is incredibly satisfying. What I enjoyed the most is how easy it is to understand the basic mechanics. You can start playing almost immediately, but the puzzles gradually become more challenging, making each new level feel rewarding instead…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not actually a puzzle game. trial and error memory simulator
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wayout 2: Hex is a minimalist puzzle game that quietly transforms a simple concept into something surprisingly complex and mentally demanding. At first glance, the game appears straightforward, presenting players with hexagonal grids that react when tiles are activated. However, after only a few stages it becomes clear that the game is built around careful logic, pattern recognition, and long-term planning rather than casual experimentation. What initially feels calm and relaxing slowly evolves…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought it for extremely cheap but it was fun regardless. My only compliant is that needs slightly more features.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple fun nice game puzzle cubes I liked it I recommend it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WayOut 2: HexI don't know if it was the new hex shaped grid or just the level design but I enjoyed this way less than the first game, more big open levels and less of the methodical sectioned-off ones leads to a lot more trial and error which is never fun in a puzzle game. GameplayWayOut 2 takes all the mechanics of the original with the puzzles now on hex tiles, I admire the shake-up as it would have been very easy to just copy the first game with new levels. However there is something with…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's Hexagon, but without the spinning or induced motion sickness caused by a rotating tiny arrow travelling on a circumference minus the annoying music
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's an ok puzzle game, but it gets hard too quickly. The game has a number of steps it wants you defeat each level within, but doesn't tell you how many that is, it simply flicks off if you go over the hidden count which is not very user friendly. There are no hints or help at all, I think a little tutorial to show how to handle different situations would have been helpful if they wanted to introduce this level of difficulty. I didn't like the music at all personally.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome puzzles I remember something like it as a kid.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I know this has been said many times but I still really want to see an undo button which would make the game 10x better. Other than that, unique and cool!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great progressive puzzle logic, minimalist but refined. The levels each have an almost organic flow once the logic of the buttons sets in and you basically massage the patterns into arrangements that you know the button mechanics can address. The grids become a series of "safe" spots where you can conduct traffic and "danger" spots where you know you'll have to retreat and attack differently.
