It's adorable and clearly well made, it has a really cool aesthetic to it. But it's just not what I thought it was. I had an article on my phone say that this was like a city builder. And with it's art style I thought that was really cool. In actuality, this is more of a resource management game... I am terrible at resource management. I'm the type of person who always has a full inventory, who…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This plays far more like an Early Access game than a finished product. What there is, is good; there just isn't enough. You play through the story/tutorial levels, and then the game ends abruptly with no real conclusion to the story. (My eight hour gameplay is a little misleading; I accidentally left the game running!) Actual playtime in easy mode: a few hours. THE GOOD: The graphics are cute. Different species can build different rooms and have different strengths. These are pretty logical…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Note : Although I may not have a long playtime record, I had the opportunity to contribute through a beta (approximately 15 hours of gameplay) and spent many hours on the [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/1843430] Free Prologue . Please trust that I possess the necessary knowledge to review this game. After eagerly awaiting the full game for 8 months, Diluvian Winds's Early Access release demonstrates its potential as a fantastic management/adventure game, with the promise of an even…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great Potential; but slightly tedious, for now… Great fun in the early game, but tedious and tough in the late game https://youtu.be/2XUOcBi-aWs TLDR in case you don't want to watch the video: 1. This isn’t your average cosy game - despite a beautifully drawn art style that resembles the genre. 2. The base building and resource management are key elements in the game; and micromanaging your settlers in the early game is essential to surviving the storms! 3. The variety of species and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am very sad to have to give this a thumbs-down. I played the demo and really enjoyed it! Sadly, the game is VERY POORLY balanced. One of your early goals is to store 120 units of wood to build something. The wood cutter shed, which takes up 2 squares, stores 40 units. Building a second one adds 0 units of storage. Building a storage room, which takes up 2 squares, adds 15 units of storage. Now, the storage rooms can store 3 different types of items, but you cannot produce ANY of them in the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely dismal. tutorial is so long and un-skippable, that by the time you realize the game is not even ready for early release, you've busted the 2h refund window. DO NOT BUY. Finished the entire early release in 5 hours.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a mild no, but a no nonetheless. I feel like I got my £11 worth out of this game, but at the same time I could have spent that £11 better. On the positive side: charming artwork, cosy atmosphere, intuitive UI. Really captured that feeling of sitting around a fire while it rains outside. It took me 7 hours to beat the game's 8-chapter story mode. I think this is meant to serve as an introduction to the mechanics in preparation for playing the sandbox or score modes. The problem is, by…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this game throughout early access and have been playing the beta version of 1.0 for the last week. The devs have been super responsive to feedback and 1.0 is a major improvement on earlier versions of the game. On harder difficulties, this game is a tricky resource management and base-building puzzle. You are constantly repairing and fortifying against the cataclysmic weather, while trying to keep your travelers fed well enough to work. On easier difficulties, you get a more…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is kinda meh. It is not that bad, it looks cute and has some good idea, but it is not that good. The game is turn based and each turn you do the same thing. It gets repetitive really fast. The game would have been better if it had not been turn based. I played the story mode for a few hours on "normal" difficulty and there is 0 challenge. Not recommended at full price. Buy it at a big discount if you want to try it, but do not expect a masterpiece that will keep you busy for hours…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game was promising at first, but seems like the developers just wanted to get it out and earn a few quick bucks, there isn't updates anymore, and there's bugs here and there. It's a pity because it's quite fun, but you'll get stuck soon as residents will keep moving into available spaces. One can argue that it's a challenge as you should prioritize based on how much space is available. BUT, I noticed that since residents will take up whatever space is available (you have to choose the max…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game ends in a really odd place. You finally finish all the tutorials... and that's the end of the story mode, the moment you fulfill the first story-based request after everything is unlocked. Additionally, the hard difficulty doesn't actually feel like there's any real danger. Never once was I at risk of the light going out, and I constantly had more blueprints than I could ever use. Personally I don't really mind a low challenge rating, but to then notice that several achievements are…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The biggest disappointment for me is the turn-based system and the very short cycles (2-3 days each). Because of this, the game feels like a puzzle, with very little strategic depth, and there's usually no point in planning several steps ahead. The game is visually cute with some good ideas but becomes repetitive quickly. The story mode is easy and lacks challenge. The content feels incomplete, like an Early Access game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really tired of base management games where "upgrade" buildings are really downgrades. The disappointment of researching the next tier to get a building that makes a small amount more but at a significant efficiency loss takes all the joy from the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has a lot of potential for round based resource management game, and it comes with great cute art style. But in current beta state the game is completely unplayable. It crashes constantly, especially on sandbox past day 50+. I repeat the game is unplayable in current state. Play Against the Storm instead. Best resource management game in history. period.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An adorable game with some glaring flaws; this is only a soft thumbs down because a soft thumbs up doesn't get my point across. 1) Progression is currently very limited but also very vast; you have many options at your disposal, but your actual building space is barely enough to build the essentials. When you buy higher tiered rooms, you'll often find you won't be able to fit them anywhere without demolishing your previous setup completely; to make things worse, rearranging buildings is a huge…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’m honestly not sure if Diluvian Winds was ever meant to be a kids’ game, but that’s exactly who I’d recommend it to: kids, and only kids. The idea is adorable: a parade of different animal species working together to save their little cliffside refuge from the effects of climate change. Not only cute, but actually kind of educational, cooperation, planning, and “please don’t let the house collapse into the ocean” are solid life lessons. For adults, though? The repetitiveness hits hard, the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a nice game with a lovely art direction. It could use a little more narrative development, the story mode is charming and fun without being tedious or frustrating, but it leaves you wanting more. More from your wanderers, more room to expand your building area, more incentive to go track down the artefacts. If you're worried about gameplay time to dollars spent, you'll want to pick it up on sale (I fully completed the story mode at my own relaxed pace in under 6 hrs). If you're the type…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For the price I'm not sure I'd recommend it. I enjoyed the game and on a sale (£10 or under) I would recommend but for the price it is there is a lack of content and it is very easy. The game is adorable and I love the art style but there isn't really much to it and whilst I haven't put much time into it I'm blazing through the story mode and don't see much replayability right now. That being said if you do get it on a sale it is fun, you'll get a good 2-3 hours of interesting playtime, the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cozy and wholesome as nine hells, and still plays surprisingly well. Extremely relaxing expirience (at least on normal difficulty). It's no Oxygen not included, but still a fun and fairly complex basebuilder. Also - cute antropomorphic animals! P.S. It becomes kinda bland towards the end, could use a fair bit of balancing and some new mechanics (like cooling of underwater buildings and synegies between structures - like foundry near oil-producing building should get a bonus to metal…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR: Worth Buying, but.....Would wait a bit for first playthrough or rather skip the "Tutorial(Campaign)" and learn everything on my own in Endlessmode... Contents (26-05-23): 1.) 4 Campaigns (~1hr ea), which you cant continue in Endlessmode and are forced to replay from Scratch 2.) With the missing Content and lack of Difficulty adjustment not that worth/fun to play any longer than 4h PROS: + pixel graphic + music and immersion + chill game + unique Game Dynamics + Tons of Potential…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Desperately needs some rebalancing work, starts off lenient and then becomes nearly impossible to prepare for storms, even if you prioritize reinforcing your buildings. Also very repetitive, but that's to be expected from this genre of game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played the demo and loved it but I'm not enjoying the Early Release of the game . It's beautiful and it's a quality management games but not for me . I find the game to be tedious, there's not enough time between encounters to properly prepare for the storms. I play a lot of managemenr and survival games but this ame is stressful and not in a good way.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game is fun but the story is short. clocking in at 5.2 hours i beat it on normal first attempt without any struggles. a classic example of steam needing more than a yes/no as this game falls in between recommendations. i got this on sale for like 10$ and i would say 5 hours of entertainment is pretty good for $10. it costs more to pay for a movie theater experience to get half the time. if they build on this game expanding mechanics and diversity i could see it really being something…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is quite exactly what it promises to be; A cozy, relaxing resource management game, and if I have to decide between "yes" or "no" I would still recommend it. However, you should know that it suffers from the infamous "civilization endgame syndrome", where you know that you will win/finish the chapter and the only thing you need to do is spam the next turn button/set everybody on whatever resource is not maxed out at the moment. Sure, there is always a possibility to clear out…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Updated for full release, added summary + scroll down for new additions. Summary: -------------- A very relaxing game about building and managing a small hamlet hosting travellers with cute graphics. There's also a puzzle component to it, due to limited space. Can be quite addictive, especially in scoring mode for me. 3 modes: story (including the tutorial), scoring (get as many points as possible in 50 days) and sandbox (survive as long as you can/want), several difficulties incl. custom…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really chill resource management game and cute artstyle but i kind of wish it was a little bit harder since normal difficulty feels like easy imo. Also wish there was a bit more content since after 15 minutes the game kind of becomes really repetetive and new mechanics aren't different enough to make the game less repetitive. It's fun though and if you want something chill and cute you might like this !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's a lot of hate for this game in the reviews, but I myself liked it. The game is a simple resource management type game where you must build and survive in your little lighthouse community. The game is a good way to pass time and like the Civilization games you'll be invested to take just one more turn.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the art design, but that is about it. It does not have that "Just one more turn" mentality. It is more complete than some of the games that exit early access, but it seems like some of the systems could have been fleshed out/polished/balanced a lot more. I almost quit a minute in because the story/tutorial really does not help you out with initially figuring out what you need to do or click on. Just keep clicking on stuff until you figure it out. After that initial frustration, it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can almost see how this could be fun, but alas, I did not find any reason to do all the meaningless clicks.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Steam needs a neutral review option badly. I bought this when it was still in EA to play it then fell off the wagon when the updates slowed down. I came back to the game after 1.0 big release. Well, I liked the game but it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Choosing hard mode to make the game good enough to give me a challenge end up disappointing me. As long as you have a stockpile going then you won't have your rooms destroyed in disasters. Speaking of disasters: they're infrequent…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was someone who couldn't get into resource management games like Factorio or worker placement games like fallout shelter, but I really am enjoying this game on normal difficulty. If either of the above describe you, I recommend picking up this game. The art style is the perfect mix of cute, thematic, warm, and beautiful. Game play-wise, it has a really tight 4 part gameplay loop. The morning which sometimes has you choosing new workers, the day of figuring out how best you want to assign…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is great. The way the story mode introduces the new mechanics is seamless and it feels like a natural progression. its simple-ish, but complex enough to be interesting. It is not real time so it is not stressful. It plays kind of like a board game. Overall it is super cute and fun. I would recommend this to people who like boardgames like Everdell, or video games like Planetbase or Against the Storm. some hard core gamers might not find it to be enough of a challenge but I am only…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The devs gifted me a key and I gotta say that I'm really looking forward to future updates! The artstyle is cute and the "building" style is very reminiscent of Spiritfarer. There is a hint of an underlying story in the Early Access version and it has me curious as to what has happened to the world; this may be more on the dark end of th spectrum? Not sure but I definitely plan to play more to find out once it releases! Reading through some of the other reviews it sounds like they may have…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game. I finished the story in 5 hours, so it is definitely still early access. Lots of fun and lots of potential for the game to grow.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Review at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSeajA5i7EQ This game is amazing. I love the artwork and the storyline. Interesting concept of the game on what choices you must make based on what you need for survival. The concept of this game is a breath of fresh air and I can't wait to play more! It is a well balanced game and gives you enough time for what you need to do ensure the survival of your buildings.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I haven't played for that long yet but I'm enyoing this immensely so far so I thought I'd leave a nice review to give it a boost because it really deserves it. The gameplay is very fun, great tutorial and the atmosphere is incredible. It's only early access so I'm looking forward to what's to come in the future :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little game with cute graphics, not very complex. Gameplay loop is good for a couple of hours until you max out the research tree since there's not really an endgame so you just keep accumulating resources for no reason, and it quickly gets boring from there. Still enjoyable and worth a couple of bucks if you can get the game at a discount. Not recommended at full price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I do not like the core gameplay loop of using turns to do each action. I also think the art of the game is solid, but the limb-based animation style severely holds it back from being a beautiful game. So I just don't like the look of the game overall
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun for maybe the first 8-10 hours and then it got a little boring, as the gameplay is fairly basic. It is is pretty tho
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Disappointing. The game starts off fun and challenging but quickly outpaces itself; becomes super easy, you end up racking up tons of research points with nothing left to research, and the game become monotonous. Too bad.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boring and easy, story is predictable and lame
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful, well-drawn, cozy game, but it quickly becomes bogged down in boring micromanagement. However, it's still worth giving it a try.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The tutorial is so boring that I will probably never get past it. Click on the squirrel, click on the space bar - repeat 30 times..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i'm sadly going to have to give this a thumbs down, after playing through the game two times. don't get me wrong, the game is absolutely phenomenal. it's fun, intresting, and there's a pretty high depth of strategy. however, they have promised us quite a lot of updates and post release support. some of them were fulfilled, like the scoring gamemode where you have to min max everything. however, the rest of the promises were not, like extended support and quality of life adjustments. the last…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tl;dr : if you like the boat management part of Spiritfarer, you should like that game. Look in hard difficulty for even a little challenge. Diluvian Winds is a nice little game, with a great setup and some nice graphics and audio. It is however a bit lacking as far as gameplay go. What's in place is good, quite balanced and only starts to feel repetitive near the end of the story mode (around 5 hours long for me). The story mode in normal looks a lot more like an easy mode and lacks any…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finally got around to play the game and i have to say it is cozy, calming and very cute, just as i expected Great game to unwind on the end of the day for a few hours
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →画风很棒。流程太短了,虽然是Early Access,但是内容很多都没出,感觉是硬赶出来的时间线,章节,技能点,模式都不完全的半成品。之前试玩版,用点数通关,还更有意思,写不出剧情没必要非做成故事模式。
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The vibe is quite nice, and has some interesting ideas, but the execution leaves a bit to be desired.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →would love have option for medium rate. it's cozy, pretty and easy, but a lot of features are pointless, nothing challenging about it. worth to buy on discount. i've completed game in 4hrs btw.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I beat the normal difficulty story mode in one 7 hour sitting: this game is a cute, easy resource management sim that is fun to play after a long workday. This game is not very difficult, and the vibe is cute, so it evens out to a relaxing time. The only changes I would make is massively expanding the build areas so you can at least build one of every building (especially in sandbox mode), expanding the tech tree, and perhaps balancing the pros/cons of each animal species a bit more. Overall a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very compelling management sim within a simplified context. A joy to play when my brain is too tired to approach some of the more complicated colony/factory sim games. The art design is really pleasant and the campaign is a great way to explore all the mechanics of the game before diving into the deep end with scoring mode.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So after playing for 4 hours I have found it to be a cute, light hearted but not challenging game. So far I haven't seen any way of failing the challenges in each chapter. The chapters just take as long as they take. So one chapter I beat in 1 day because I had stockpiled so much iron. If you are good an playing efficient there is no challenge whatsoever in the game. Some people will probably like it because it is challenging but this feels like a kids game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Review on 17 of March/2024 Very cool game! Reminds me of the Against the Storms Cons: - fast pace - interesting world - unique graphics and mechanics - fun Cons: - not much in terms of content - may be 10 hours of gameplay tops I bough it early on to support the developers. I can't wait for version 1.0
