I didn't play for very long, but I didn't need to to know that this game isn't for me. I'm a huge fan of retro classic shooters both old and new (Doom, Quake, Blood, Duke3D, Dusk, Amid Evil, Ion Fury, etc etc) and I applaud any game that also shares my love for the genre and aesthetic, but If you want to play a singular arena wave shooter with a retro/horror/satanic aesthetic, you're better off playing Devil Daggers. Demon Pit takes the flying skulls from that game anyways. - Demon Pit does…

Boomer arena FPS that literally just takes place in a single arena. The game as a whole feels cheap, it's monotonous and I didn't even make it pass the 12th round so you can only imagine what feels like having to progress to the end. Maybe it's a skill issue but the enemies are really hard to defeat and thus I didn't make it far as I previously mentioned.

Does what it says on the tin: Gives you bunch of enemies to shoot in arena that keeps morphing and changing after every wave. There's also lots of different weapons, however I didn't get to try them all yet. Good game for the "I am in mood for shooting things, but don't feel like going through a long storyline" -mood. Couple teeny tiny critique things: I would like to be able to see my mouse sensitivity as a number as well in the options. I think the player should be able to look straight up…

I know the dev gets a lot of hate and I don't like to trash cheap games usually but this game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad. the movement is terrible, the weapons and enemies are either ripped from devil daggers or feel incredibly lazy and uninspired. This game is steaming ♥♥♥♥, don't bother. and a note to devs everywhere: STOP FORCE CAPPING YOUR GAMES AT 60FPS

It tries to be Devil Daggers but it's not. The weapons, the enemies, the level, everything is very generic. There is one arena which changes between each wave, can feels cheap when suddenly lava appears under your feet. But then every playthrough is the same, and there isn't much tactics beside never ending circle strafing. Maybe if it had a little randomness in the arena generation it could offer quick fun sessions, but as it is now, I don't see the point of replaying over and over the…

Try to Survive ! Demon Pit is an arena survival game totally inspired by Doom ! The arena game is quite interesting but copies Doom a lot in the designs of enemies, sounds etc You will be able to access a lot of weapons (like a Doom) and you will have to survive as much as possible in front of waves of enemies and the arena which changes quite often, while staying in the same place... It's the only thing in this game but it's quite decent ! The gameplay is convincing even unfortunately it…

If you want a pure, mindless arena shooter to vent some frustration, Demon Pit delivers a hit of fast-paced arcade action. You drop straight into a wave-based hellscape armed with classic weapons and a grappling hook that keeps you zipping across the shifting floorboards. Sadly, the novelty wears off quickly because there is only one core arena style and very little enemy variety to keep things fresh. It turns into a repetitive grind long before you feel any real sense of mastery or…

The only arena shooter I didn't enjoy at all, gunplay it's boring, the gameplay it's just very bad. There's no story at all to complete the lack of gameplay. You can only play like maximum 3 guns, because you're just dead till you'll be able to play all of em. You can play better games with 7,39€. Atleast the game avatar looks captivating. Deeply dissappointed.

too many bugs. interesting dynamic level design. having to avoid lasers, fire traps and floor lava is fun. the shotgun is completely broken, picking up shotgun ammo does not supply the gun with ammo so it's just forever empty. also the scores that popup in the middle of the screen right over the crosshair eventually just got stuck on the screen, one was semi transparent so it was extra annoying. I might be able to get over that if the game didn't drop to mid 40 fps at times. I actually like how…

The Positive: + Grappling to different locations feels good, especially as you get to higher waves and have to do this to escape from enemies and dodge environmental hazards. + A nice albeit unremarkable selection of guns. + I like how the map changed around you after each wave. The Negatives: - A.I seems brain dead and simply stands and shoots at you, or runs directly at you. Not a deal breaker, but something more could have been done. - A lack of different enemy types. - The lack of content.…

Simple, fast, fun. I've been following this game since very early public prototypes and I witnessed how it evolved into a product. I did not hesitate buying it and my very first impressions are: Worth the time waiting, worth the money spent. It's like Doom and Devil Daggers had some sexual tension and made this game. If you like DOOM but looking for replayability instead of a good satanic scenario and Devil Dagger's too dark for you, this game might be a good choice. PS for Devs: You might…

I have been following this game for a while so it was an instant buy on the release day! In Demon Pit your goal is to beat as many enemy waves as possible in order to climb higher up the leaderboards. Through waves, new weapons and enemies are introduced while arena is transforming before you after each wave - from clean open space to lava holes, floating blocks and wide cutting lasers. This was really close to being a good game but just isn't there. The art/animations/environment are all nicely done, as are the OST and sound effects. There's some decent enemy variety and the guns feel satisfying enough to use. There's only one arena but it changes with each wave of enemies. The biggest issue is that it isn't randomized at all. Every time you play, the waves are in the exact same order. You receive the weapons in the same order, the arena changes the same way, and the enemies…

Demon Pit is a simplistic first person wave survival arena shooter and dumbed down ripoff of Quake/DooM. You're in a low poly arena and shoot waves of enemies pretty much ripped off from DooM, pick up weapons and see how many waves you can survive. So basically DooM but with all the level design and progression ripped out of it. I'm wondering who sat down and thought, "Well, games like DooM, Quake, DooM eternal are fun, but what gamers really want is a dumbed down version of those with worse…

Let me start off by saying that I absolutely love this idea. An arena that evolves as you fight wave after wave is like a dream concept of mine. I've always loved survival modes, whether it was Firefight in Halo, Horde in Gears, Zombies in the first Black Ops game, and Demon Pit sets out to build upon this concept and deliver a new take on this addictive game mode. And, well... It's not a bad first impression. The game can be fun. But there are areas I feel that are lacking. There is…

I only played about twenty minutes but there is already more than enough to say about the gameplay. First off, the FPS is locked to 60 and to my knowledge nobody has figured out how to lift the cap. On top of that, the optimization is so bad that even though the graphics remind you of boomer shooters, sometimes it dips below 30 FPS which is completely inexcusable for a game this modern. The crosshair is poorly visible, the HUD is microscopic if you run 4K and the desktop cursor sometimes…

2/10. Every aspect of this game is C grade or worse, and definitely not worth the 60 cents I paid for it. There is only one "arena" and it's basically a large square. It does change a little between waves, with platforms rising up or down, but pretty much you just run around in a big circle avoiding the bad guys chasing you while taking pot shots behind you. There's precious little cover, but only the shotgun has any kind of reload time so I guess that doesn't matter. The enemies are kind of…

As stated in the description, you're in a single arena that changes itself to keep you on your toes. Walls, lazers, platforms, and lava come and go as you're bombarded by hordes of enemies. For the most part, the weapons are satisfying to use. The projectiles from the plasma cannon curve around enemies when running around, and you're not supposed to stand still, especially when you finally get it, so it's hard to get a handle on. I personally just wish there was more ammo for all the weapons.…

Featuring a theme that seems pretty similar to Diablo 1 (note the font style of the menu), Demon Pit is a rather hardcore, arena-style and waves-based arcade shooter that may bring to mind games like Devil Dagger and Doom. In this game, you'll basically be kiting enemies around the arena, shooting at them using whatever weapon that you still have ammo for, while making sure to avoid getting hurt whether it is by an enemy or by an environmental hazard, such as lava or rotating lasers. I was very surprised when I first got hands on - was somewhat expecting this to be a Devil Daggers-like but this stands on it's own to legs. I got it on release and love seeing my name on the local leaderboard and am going to keep playing till I get to the top of the Global one 😂 Would recommend using mouse over game controller however as there is no lock on when aiming. 1)Game has annoying input lag. FOV and sensitivity settings don't help. 2)FPS will not got above 43 in game at any resolution 720p-1440p(RX 9070 xt). 3)The fact that less than 15% of players cannot reach level 20 tells you that this game either sucks or is too hard. 4)Only one map that changes configuration. You feel like you're playing a demo. 5)Grapple is a waste of a mechanic in this game. Rather would have a secondary weapon option instead.

It's...a throwback, as intended. However, it just doesn't hold the same charm that playing Unreal Tournament or Quake 3 Arena have. Overall the controls are simple and intuitive. Deaths and misses are due to skill, and not bad controls or delays. Sounds are fine, if not just generic. Visually it is as I said, throwback to the late 90s to early 00s. Just lacks the charm of nostalgia I suppose. The changing arena is a nice idea, and adds an element of memorizing layouts as you progress. I…

It has a nice slingshot/grapple type mechanic, but everything about this, including that mechanic, gets tired really fast. You play through the exact same order of stages and enemies over and over and it doesn't feel good enough to make me want to carry on playing.
