I am used to playing games such as DEADCRAFT and i enjoy them a lot. It does not try to be too many things at once. It does well at what its audience appreciates. The story is good so far, i want to continue it, but i need sleep. So far, i have farmed & fought my way out of a horde of zombies. I also attacked a town to full wanted level. It was fun trying…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Look, going to be honest. The game has no mouse support, and it doesn't recognize a wireless XBox Series controller. That alone is enough for a negative review from me. Don't know how it plays because I can't play it with any reasonable ability. Pure keyboard controls are terrible. Don't buy it, even if you have a controller that works. This is pretty unacceptable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Video review: https://youtu.be/BWrNRnimvXA Written review below! DEACRAFT is a bit of a mess. It’s trying to be all of these things at once, but it feels like the effort was thinly spread out and no single aspect of the game really stands above the rest - it’s just all kinda… basic. Note: Trimmed review to fit character limit, check video for full version! Combat & Survival Mechanics You basically play as a half-zombie half-human hybrid and can attack with normal human weapons like axes,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, six hours in. I absolutely love this game! Is it perfect? Nah. There are a couple issues, but it scratches an itch I've had for quite a long time. I'll put it this way. Do you want to play a hack n slash RPG with farming elements, both literal and gameplay wise? This might just be up your alley then. You can always try out the demo first too! The game thus far is just even more of that tasty goodness. I have been craving a silly zombie game with a b-movie plot for quite a long time, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What can I say? It's Marvelous! No literally, it's a Marvelous Interactive game. It is to Rune Factory, what Rune Factory was to Story of Seasons- that is to say a new twist on the old formula. Whereas Rune Factory added in RPG mechanics onto the farming system of Story Of Seasons, Deadcraft adds in survival elements & arcade twin stick shooter mechanics to the RPG and farming aspects of their other franchises. Is it a bit jank? Yeah, but that's also par for the course of this kind of game.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Deadcraft is not a triple A title but it also does not try to be. It is instead a fun and novel new concept on a tired and well exploited zombie genre. Playing as a half zombie you are constantly playing the balancing act of how far to push your bloodlines for the best result. The crafting in the game is based on game progression along with skill tree progression. Progression in the skill tree is as simple as spending survival points and they are obtained via everything you do in game so you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nothing says JRPG like a tutorial that lasts 8 hours long before you can actually access the "content" of the game. I was willing to give this a shot even though the demo seemed lackluster, since they were the company responsible for making runefactory, but it seems like they forgot all the things they learned from 4. Or maybe they kept the bad habits from 5. Heck even since runefactory 2 they figured out that stamina consumption from just swinging your sword was a terrible idea, but they…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far it's been exactly what I expected out of it. It's not perfect, it can be a bit repetitive but overall I'm having a blast. It doesn't have the social aspect of the harvest moon/story of seasons/rune factory versions of things, but it does have quite a few crafting trees/skill trees, and the combat does get a bit more fun and interesting as you start unlocking new weapons and abilities. Edit: 35 hours in, just beat the game. I will say that quite a few of the criticisms in reviews... kind…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DEADCRAFT started out really positive for me, but the more you play, the more you quickly realize that there just isn't a whole lot to it and what there is has been recycled ad nauseam. The farming aspect is incredibly basic, crafting is monotone and the entire gameplay loop is repetitive in a bad way. That isn't to say that there isn't something good to be found here. In fact, I thoroughly enjoyed my first few hours with the game. You gather resources, fight zombies, are able to grow your own…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You play as a human-zombie creature which has some cool special combat moves. There are a lot of items to craft like crazy weapons. The fun factor in this game is also great. Enjoy this gameplay video: https://youtu.be/9H4Ak-0Fqc0
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not really sure why people dislike this game. I'm currently 18 hours in, and about halfway through the story. I haven't run into any glitches, and I like the story as well. There are multiple types of weapons to use if you feel like the combat is getting stale, you can switch to a different weapon type. It's an RPG for $20 that I'd pay double for. I'm hoping they make a second game some day.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tedious game, Really, really tedious game. Took 8 hours to pass the first area of the game, a lot of crafting would require a "select all" button, but it doesn't get it. Feels like nobody gave feedback during beta stage of the game, because really, there is a lot to improve. also, some achievements seem to need some fix A Furious Road Handyman So ... yeah, I can not recommend it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the developer are not fixing all the reported issue like frankie not showing up even if you have a lot in your storage and inventory and all crafting requirements are met.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is the reason INDIE games devs and small game devs must never die! It is great fun enjoyed every second even to 100% the game was fun and enjoyable. Game has its quarks that i know ALOT of people wont look past but really if you a fan of a SP Home builder this game is for you 100% and it comes with zombies and zombie powers! They really cant make it any cool! Has some of the best polished thought out game mechanics i have ever seen and ALOT of big AAA titles can easily look at this…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ever wanted a necromancer survival game? A fun little mix between hack n slash, survival and crafting game with a very satisfying gameplay loop. Go out, quest, gather materials and go home to rest and craft. You earn XP for doing most any action, it's all very natural with good progression pacing. I never felt like I was too far ahead or behind of where I wanted to be, and I never kept an excess of skill points for very long. The story's a basic revenge tale, but your main fun comes from…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible... Pros: Cons: #1. Your stamina is finite, meaning you can only do a certain amount of combat or actions before you HAVE to sleep. This is the biggest issue I have with the game by far and it's a hilarious game design choice. It's supposed to be an 'ACTION roleplaying game' yet the 'action' literally stops when you run out of stamina and are forced to go back to base to sleep. #2. When you have no more stamina left, you take health damage, so even sprinting or mining or attacking,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A piece of trash game with no direction and not a shred of logic. I was on the fence about recommending it, until the game simply recycles the bad guys and makes them give you missions, one of them gives you one to kill people who basically have the same mission as you, and the trash protagonist sides with the bad guys to kill the others. The level of stupidity in this game is insane. Shops have strict opening hours and even days off and always very low stock of everything, refreshing only…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →MY basic overview for this is it's a fun clunky game with a neat artstyle and setting, campy as hell writing and villians, with an even cheesier localization that amps up the f bombs for the sheer absurdity of it. I really hope that this game either gets a sequel or some sort of spinoff so the devs behind it get another crack at this whacky little gem they've created and get to smooth out the rough patches.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can recommend it though it is much more like a playstation 2 era game. Maps are small, but packed with quests. Characters are pretty wacky in a good way. Graphics are adequate. Sounds are good. Combat is good. Base building is good. What I could ask the Devs to do next time? Make it an open-world sandbox instead of following the Harvest Moon/Stardew Valley formula.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun game. I really enjoyed how simple and fun the game is. The progression was nicely paced with abilities. I was craving a game like this and didn't know it till I played it. I hope they make another game with expanded zombie farming mechanics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gave it a try, K&M controls are horrible, you can only rebind some of them, the menu says K&M but there are only keyboard bind can't navigate, target and use the mouse so far. Game had me running back and forth the 2 same places 6 times already with an energy based sprint. Doesn't feel polishaed at all after a year of release. Might give it an other try later but so far it's clunky and boring.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is some good ideas buried in there, but they are also a lot of questionable design decision.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Better than reviews were saying. It's basically harvest moon with building a small army of zombies and action-rpg gameplay. The stamina had me worried, but it's really not a big deal. Just spend all your starting points, which come very quickly, on stamina, being less thirst/hungry, and then go for weapons. I love the voice acting, i wish there was more, and the gameplay while a mess-- it's very fun. Really surprised I like it 9/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is a lot to like here. The voice acting (when it exists) is very good. The visuals are very bright and fun. The zombies look very cool and explode into satisfying chunks when you kill them. There seems to be a serviceable story here. I like the half zombie angle and the host of other characters have a Borderlands feel to them. Worth checking out but it is a little pricey. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SG5UQrPqgu8

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →hm there aren't many games that let you play as zombies, are there? off the top of my head i can think of 3: Stubbs the Zombie, Dead Head Fred, and that one Japanese game that i can't remember the title of.... ....Deadcraft! that was it. and i guess any Tokyo Ghoul game would count?
unlabelledView post →TLDR: buy it on sale. Okay, this is going to be hard to be positive. I'd have to rate this a 6/10 for personal reasons. This game is a GRIND. Some of the grind isn't that bad, other parts of it are downright insane. There is a location you have to go into towards the end of the game just to make a piece of gear you might enjoy using, but required for the story progression. This same location is the only spot you can find certain gear unless you are late/post game and have more than enough…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Is this game I've never heard of any good? Let's look at the reviews. Less than 100. Hmm." This should probably clue you in enough, but I played the demo and thought it was decent enough. The combat is clunky, and over time it only gets worse as enemies become faster, armored, and more likely to knock you down. The blurb talks about raising a zombie army, but you only get 4 dudes at once. You can also place stationary zombie turrets, but they're not particularly powerful outside of peeling…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The negative attention this game has been receiving is solely due to a misplaced understanding of the game. Think Harvest Moon. Think Rune Factory. It's essentially a survival crafting farming simulator with zombie battles. It's slow paced, just like real farming! It's great if you like collecting tons of resources, fighting a good number of varied enemies, performing quests aplenty, and tending to your crops. Yes, you can grow zombie cheerleaders too, so there's that. Don't play this game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's like Deadrising + Borderlands + Dungeon Crawler Genre. I love the style, gameplay, and the way the game is.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the art style. Cheerleading zombies are cool. Eat people.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Jessie best girl
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No mouse support, requires keyboard for everything. NOPE.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favourite games ever. Just so much to do, craft and collect plus zombies
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I very much recommend this game! The voice acting is really good, though not everything is voiced, it's like a Japanese game where it's the main bits that are voiced. It's sad to see it get negative review by the reason people compare it to other games, that it's not. I don't have the DLC's but I very much thinking about getting 'em since the worth of the base game is very much there so no reason to why the DLC's would not be. Again, very much recommended :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →faming, combat ,zombies and cheesy writing. 5/7 - perfect game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is for sure up there with one of the weirder games I have played for sure. Saying that though the weird/goofy parts of this game is what makes the game shine and stand out from other games of the genre. Growing your own zombies making weapons out of them I love it and there is so much they could do to expand on this fun and goofy idea. Really hoping they make another game that continues this crazy idea. Combat isn't too bad either simple and quite brutal. The grind for a survival game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really good game for me. Also love the idea of creating your own personal zombie to fight with and increase their stats, especially enjoying it when fighting hordes. Hope we get a sequel someday!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dreamcast arcade type of game more than a crafting survival, but i had fun. 90's anime cheese stuffs on the story side. Slow but nice character progression. Go for it for a crush on the design and grind but don't expect much depth.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The mission design , story & gameplay progression in this game are as brain dead as the many zombies you will have to fight. I spent 30 hours running back and forth doing the same 3 type of missions x 200 times. By the time I finished this game I could have joined the hordes myself.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Zombie punk farm game. it's something. $10 is a fair price for it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would play the sequel if this got one. Pretty fun hack and slash with crafting, farming, a skill tree, mission board and quests.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm more of the "celebrate a game's significant features" school, and while that can sometimes be of a "bad" game it's often "okay, this game does THIS that nobody else does" like DeadCraft being a weird farming/action hybrid as disparate as its half-zombie protagonist.

unlabelledView post →A very underrated and slept on game, it gets a lot of bad rep because the start can be quite frustrating and difficult due to lack of resources for people who are new to this kind of game, but it's got a lot of content to play around with, it's ton of fun whether you're following the main questline, grinding resources to upgrade your weapons and frankies, it's a relatively short story that can be completed in a day or two if you rush the storyline solely without completing side quest but the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun top down zombie game may not be for everyone but its a ten out 8 for me. plays well for me good controller support for xbox controller and story not the best maybe but voice acting is fine and fun to use zombie powers and make zombie teammates and cool kill moves

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game must have been calling to me. Whomever's twisted mind thought this up is my spirit animal. Though it isn't without faults, I am enjoying the hell out of it. After spending 12 hours in the demo (most of which was a little bit of a learning curve for me I finally, and without regret, decided to purchase it. Voice Acting: A+ Story and writing (so far): A+ Gaming Interface: B Technical: B Gameplay: A Highly recommend, especially if you have a dark sense of humor.

unlabelledView post →This game is a mash up of a few genres. You have the stardew valley/rune factory/harvest moon stamina system with your own farm and a town to do quests in, you have a top down perspective with a bit of diablo/action RPG combat, and you have a survival rpg type of game where you need to watch your health, stamina, hunger, and thirst and unlock perks with XP. It also has some unique ideas like you can raise a zombie army and even create unique units that help you attack enemies. Before I say…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not sure why this has so many negative reviews. Runs smooth as hell, no bugs, no crashes and the controls are perfect (you can play with M&KB but I'd recommend a controller). The game is very fun, it's basically a post apocalyptic version of Harvest Moon. You can cook food, farm vegetables, etc. but the main and most fun gimmick of the game is being able to create your own little zombie army all ranging in skill types and movesets. These zombie minions are also great in battle, they aren't…
