(edit) Some comments think I have a problem with the difficulty, I don't. Most of the bosses were easy and I beat them on the 1st/2nd try, I have an issue with how annoying it is to traverse and clear areas from mobs... I think Darksiders 2 also had this problem but not to that extent. After finishing it I would say I adjusted to it, my biggest problem is that some of the achievements just don't unlock properly and the devs will probably never fix this. - worst elements of both souls-like and…

Don't let the play time fool you. I played this game on my GOG Galaxy launcher for a very long time. My Review: Darksiders III gets a bad rep. But honestly, I think it's absolutely fantastic. Some people cry because it's a "souls-like" but the fact is that every single Darksiders game comes as a separate sub-genre. DS= Action/Adventure. DS2= Open World Looter. DS3= SoulsLIke. DSG= ARPG. But they are all hack n slash and they all are story driven. The gameplay is good, the combat is good, and…

The first two Darksiders were inspired heavily by Zelda. Great dungeons with puzzles, platforming and bosses. With a little bit of God of War combat mixed in. It was fun. This isn't. Another game falls victim to the worst aspects of devs copying Souls. Enemy hordes that kill you almost instantly. Boring, not fun and punishing checkpoint system when death leaves you having to traverse backs bit. Levels, puzzles, combat, story , everything is downgrade from first two 👎

It's OK, but get it on sale The game doesn't feel too exciting. A typical souls-like mood with timings and harsh reality. Visually appealing, easy to get used to, well-voiced. To unlock FPS go to AppData/Local/Darksiders3/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/GameUserSettings and define your maximum FPS (0 by default, which somehow translates to 62).

Darksiders III — Review Darksiders III is an action-adventure game starring Fury, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Her mission is to hunt down the Seven Deadly Sins across a ruined, hostile world. Fury fights with a whip and a range of magical forms, each offering different attacks and ways to explore. Combat rewards patience and careful timing, giving the game a more deliberate feel than its predecessors. The interconnected world is full of hidden paths, dangerous enemies, and…

every Darksiders game had this kind of identity question. it was never just hack and slash. the first one used to show some Devil May Cry staff, and then put that endless wall climbing everywhere. and you should remember the second one. it wanted to be a bit of an RPG. we had this Japanese action-platformer in Zelda/Shadow of the Colossus disguise. so the third one just continues the franchise's tradition and gives us a Japanese action-platformer, but in a Dark Souls disguise. and as always,…

Yeah even for 3€ it's not good. I know some people like it, but it's fundamentaly flawed to it's core, the mix between hack'n slash and souls just doesn't work for me. 2 genres I like but this game mixed them in shuch a way that you get the worst of both worlds.

I honestly don't think it's nearly as bad a game as people make it out to be. It's an OK Soulslike . Some of the boss fights are really good and i love that there are so many elemental modes. The DLC content really enhances the experience. I definitely think it's over-hated

Why the fk is there a boss fight after 5 minutes of gameplay? Why the fk does every attack stun me? Why the fk did I respawn at the start of the level when i died to the first boss? NO! Definitively NO!!! Compared to the others , this game is trash. they tried to make a "soul like game" out of an Hack n' slash, but it does not work. Combat is irrelevant, the ennemies are sponges, and they , most of the time, can't be stuned or stopped in their tracks, making you jumping around, unable to conter attack and making your attacks irrelevant. Most of them can kill you in 3/4 hits. it could be cool if they were not swarming you from everywhere. you have no map, you can't…

Darksiders 3 Is Better Than You Think I went into Darksiders III with low expectations because I didn’t enjoy Darksiders II… and came out genuinely surprised. This game is a souls-lite gem. If you’re someone who enjoys Souls combat but doesn’t want to deal with overwhelming systems or massive open-world chaos, this hits a really sweet spot. It’s focused, challenging, and respects your time. A lot of negative reviews come from older fans expecting Darksiders II again. They saw a…

Darksiders 3 - The game that took the entire formula of what made the series great and tossed it all out the window to jump on the souls-like bandwagon. A shame, really, because honestly Darksiders 2 was amazing. Darksiders 1 even, while dated, was still a fun time. It's like the devs saw the same formula as tedious and just didn't want to follow what made them stand out in the first place only to chase another type of genre. I'll keep it short, but here's a list of things that was good…

This game is ass. It's a shame the studio took the path trying to turn the game into a souls-like, after Darksiders II was a really good hack and slash game. The worst thing is that they did not finish the job. It feels like a hybrid between a hack and slash and a souls-like, fitting in neither genre well. Controls are clunky and unresponsive, animation canceling works with dodging (but not jumping), but only with some moves and weapons, not all of them. The camera lock is weird and…

In short: the third installment managed to throw away everything that made the series great. The game feels like a low-budget asset flip released without any quality assurance. Here are the main reasons why this game is unplayable: Terrible technical state. The game runs absolutely horribly. Constant stutters, sudden FPS drops out of nowhere, and endless loading screens completely ruin the already choppy pacing. Broken balance. It feels like they tuned the difficulty purely by guesswork and…

While it may be out of character to provide a relatively optimistic take, I feel like the overall reviews here are a little too harsh. Darksiders 3 isn't a top tier masterpiece by any means, but neither are its predecessors, and while flawed, it's not a particularly bad game. It's a very 6 or 7/10 experience, and that's certainly not bad enough for a full on thumbs down. To address the biggest issues: Yeah, the game needed a map. Badly. It has lots of twisting paths connecting the major areas…

I was hesitant to play this game due to the mixed reception at launch, but i recently got back into the series and wanted to give it a go. The first few hours are not great. Darksiders 3 deserves its poor review score, but there is a lot to like about it. I bought it on sale at 90% off and enjoyed the experience despite its glaring issues. Presentation-wise most of the environments look pretty nice. Fury's animations and sound design feel weighty and satisfying. Good soundtrack, good voice acting, and the script is surprisingly competent for such a goofy premise. The way the camera focuses on your character makes the game unplayable to me, coming from someone who loves games like DMC, Bayonetta, and Stellar Blade. The camera constantly puts all enemies out of view so you have to rely on light gray triangles to indicate if someone is about to attack you. So you're constantly looking at your character and swinging at things behind what you can see. Could have been a fun hack and slash, but the camera is seriously awful.

Finished the game on **Reckoning difficulty. Don't do that.** If you want a real challenge, play on **Apocalyptic**. Reckoning is less "difficult" and more "unfair". Most mid-game enemies can one or two-shot you while having enormous HP pools. One of the DLC bosses has over **200K HP**, while my whip combo was doing around 1K damage. That's not difficulty, that's just making the numbers bigger. ### What it does well **Level Design — 9/10** Probably the best part of the game. The…

This just isn't any fun. I don't really mind the hammy and paint-by-numbers "edgy" story introduction. I have no complaints over the cartoony art style, not really my thing, but eh. But the gameplay is important to me and it just.. ew. Controls are unresponsive for a game that requires timed combos and dodges. Camera placement is just actively hostile to the player. I got to the first boss, beat it after my third try and realised the entire game would be just more like this. Refund requested.

Game is good. I've had some problems with resolution during early launches but it solved on it's own. A lot of nicely designed labirynths, some demanding fights on normal+1 difficulty, fun story and a lot of hack&slash vibes combined with perfect dodge mechanic. Some simple logic puzzles and paths hidden behind obstacles make exploration interesting, there's also fast travel that enables quick backtracking and shopping. Fury...Wrath Incarnate...The Lady of Order. As someone who’s been a fan since the first Darksiders, jumping into Fury’s adventure was a lot of fun. She’s fast, fierce, and just satisfying to play, and switching between Hollow forms keeps combat and exploration fresh. It feels like the developers didn't know where to take the story after the second game, so they decided to experiment with genres; while the third entry was a bit of a letdown, this one is actually pretty good. However, there are major balance issues: even on the highest difficulty, it’s only tough at the start. Once you level up a bit, any resemblance to Dark Souls vanishes, and the game turns into a standard hack-and-slash—which, to be fair, is exactly what Darksiders is supposed to be.

If I paid 40$ for this game, instead of 4$, I would have refunded it immediately.
