unlabelledView post →Let me explain. Do I recommend buying this game in this current stage? No. Does it have a lot of strong points going for it that make this game worth playing? Definitely, even as of now. If you're looking for a finished game with a complete experience, this game is not that just yet. It is truly in Early access, and unless you are okay with essentially making an investment for what will be a great game, then do not buy it just yet. If you like playing games with a small community, and playing…

Anything can look appealing if your lighting is cool enough. That's how it got me. Tactical? Supernatural? Moody? Not $40? Count me in. Early Access Tactical FPS games are my drug of choice, and I'm recommending you spend your money elsewhere. I genuinely cannot tell any difference between the state of Project Genesis and the state of the game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →be aware, this is not a bad review. I just don't recommend buying the game NOW, the setting it great and the devs seems to push efforts in developpement, but in the current state, it's not really enjoyable and very very rough. it's not an early access like for exemple, gray zone warfare where the game is already very enjoyable with core mecanics already ready. You have only a few content, buggy, and the overall feeling of the UI, sound and gameplay is it's very very rough. That's not a bad…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I actually like this game. I saw this had mixed reviews and usually I stay away from those kinds of ratings. Decided to give it a try today and while I think its because of the updates it had, this game wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. There are a few things I had issues with but nothing game breaking such as odd textures disappearing, the movement I felt was too slidey, gun animations could improve as it feels a bit too stiff, AI is kind of dumb as they like to leave themselves open to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Update, v2! It is very endearing to see a developer reach out and respond positively, professionally, and entirely to a very harsh review. That is as rare as it is commendable. Despite how desperately I wished to be taken by their word and love the update, the game feels almost entirely unchanged. The only improvement I noticed was the enemy AI. Though still very simplistic -to a degree that very much harms the gameplay- they no longer see you through walls at all points. Once alerted, they…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had been following Contain for a while. When the game first launched, it’s hard to deny that there were some serious issues. However I also knew that the developers were quietly rebuilding the game’s infrastructure from the ground up together with the community on Discord. What you’re seeing now is not a typical content update that adds new enemies, maps, or weapons. The development team has reworked the core systems and rebuilt the foundation of the game from scratch. Based on that there…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I remember what a sh*t-show SCP:5K (SCP: Pandemic at the time) was before it got to what it is now, just a raw game that needs more polishing, i gave it a buy despite mixed reviews and its a pretty fun game, even alone. I see most issues in the UI and the customization, theres not a lot of options and cant customize colors/camos. Other than that you got a solid game, just add some friendly AI (i know theyre working on it) and thats it, I see it making a good comeback like SCP:5k did.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, looks absolutely amazing. It runs fine for me. But I'm on a brand new computer with some stupid high end specs... I had also gifted two copies to some friends that I wanted to play with, but neither was able to run the game. One had serious performance issues, and the both had issues with constantly disconnecting. These aren't issues for any other games we play together so I'm quite sad to see it. I really hope this game continues to grow and improve, because I agree with many of the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Contain is an Early Access game released Jan 16, 2024. I had it on my Wish List since 2022. It is a 4 or 5 player (not sure) Coop PvE Tactical Supernatural mission based shooter. It also supports solo play currently but team AI are planned. Honestly, right now, solo plays great. There are currently 4 missions available with more on the way. The game was built on UE5 and runs surprisingly well. I am locking at 60 FPS but could lock at 90 FPS (once they offered that option, 120 is included also).…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →is it finnished? No. But I think it will be a great game and the Devs are on it to make it great. So just have some patients with it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love me some SCP Mobile Task Forcing so I tried the game at $9 with my friend. This game needs a LOT of work. Constant disconnects from my friend's lobbies. Barely any public servers running, looked a bit dead. Instant disconnect when i tried to alt-tab out to check messages, share my screen etc. Very annoying. Ill check back in a year. refunded. looking forward to seeing how it evolved. UPDATE: Big thanks to the dev message to this review. Looks like there was a major update…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First let me tell you something. For this price, while it's cheap, buy it! I wanted to give credit to the developers. I say this because nowadays it's hard to find these right mindset developers. Let me explain, they failed hard at launch, but they are trying to make it work. They released tons of patches and added many requests to the game. Yes, manly like you i did not buy the game at release after seeing all those videos about it. And thought they would abandon the game after that. Also,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No, this hasn't changed since BigFry's video. Come back later.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Experienced CONTAIN thanks to the devs at SinginGiant sending me their new tactical horror title, and I'll probably never sleep again. The 'paranormal events' that happen as you're doing your thing don't impact you per se, but help set the tone. And that tone is freaky. Contain's out-of-this-world atmosphere does a great job at building dread as you progress, and the anomalies are visually stunning and audibly disturbing. The art absolutely KILLS IT, and it's only in early access. Can't WAIT…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this game, bought it twice to give it a fair shot and refunded both times after about 20 minutes each time. A tactical co-op FPS with good customization and a supernatural/horror element could be great and maybe this game will be eventually, but right now pretty much nothing about it feels good.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really great concept. Very poor execution. Visuals are beautiful, but game-play just isn't there. If there were more anomalies, and maybe better quests for them, it could be good with the weird AI.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This Game Sucks do not wast your money. I requested a refund but they denied it. GRRRR Seriously tho Im not hating at all if the game was good fun or whatever I would say it but its really not fun its boring the game feel is way off alot of the controls and movement need to be re done. The Enemy spawn in makes no senses there will be nobody there then bamm two guys are in front of you or they will run around a corner and not be there then there right there again. So yea I can go on for ever…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If scp5k and ready or not had an early access baby and that baby was a bit non verbal but the devs were teaching it to talk. This is your game. Devs are on the ball with wanting to provide a good experience plus it helps the game is fun to. More weapon customization that any game I’ve really come accross
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well I loaded it up and it lagged to hell and back to the point of being unplayable. The gun and armor customization seems cool though (although the menu was to small to see and kept moving around until it was off screen). Probably going to wait a few months or a year to try again. Hopefully by then the g36 on the wall will be usable (or even better a g36c).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks great, and lots of room for potential growth. Would definitely pick this up if you enjoy challenging combat in a spooky world filled with enemies that always make you on guard.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far pretty sick
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's just a bad game. Ready Or Not is just much better than this. The game doesn't explain much to you so you have to figure out most on your own. The AI seems to either be too stupid to use sights on their weapon or they're John Wicks that destroy your health bar within seconds
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not recommended until I can skip intro and go to the load screen
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →in the current state of the game there is not much to do and the game is a buggy mess however this is an early access title so this game has potential so dispite probally not playing it just try to support the devs
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the idea of this game and it looks great but the game is just very shallow. It says it's an EA but this is an early alpha build and this is what the plague of Steam EA has made happen. The game will need 3-4 years before it's ready for EA then another 2-3 before full release. There are missing settings The guns have perks like ergo but they don't tell you what does what so you may build your gun then realize it take 2 weeks to ADS There is no sound design, your footsteps do not exist,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ok, so it isn't great but I'm beginning to like it. t just needs to be OFFLINE! I'm not going to uninstall it yet. So add OFFLINE missions!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Suffers when playing with friends due to frequent connections issues, impacting the overall experience. It is a nice game but a suddenly loosing connection really hurts a lot.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have to join all the voices saying: Don't buy this. It has a lot of potential, but it's not really in a playable state yet. The anomalies look amazing and they're very strange, but the gameplay is barebones with a lot of attention paid to customizing your loadout... And not much else. There's very little to do in the game. It feels like they had more focus on tacticool aspects before they actually had a GAME, and it shows when you go out on a mission. Admittedly, I only tried one, but for a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →poeple saying game unplayable funny read the recommended. games dope and keep updating sorry ur potato doesnt run anymore. gun play dope and full kits... yall ganna be sad when more unreal games come out
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolute garbage. As many other reviews said, its a poorly put together project with great ideas. I am a huge fan of similar games, such as SCP 5K but this game is nearly unplayable and full of issues at its current state. If I could get my money back, I would. It is a major let down.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has very good potential and will definitely will be worth it when it gets out of early
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After playing this game for almost 7 hours, I think I should write a review about it right? This game is not a regular FPS experience. AI and TTK is brutal. It is harder when you play it solo. Make sure to drop into their Discord if you don't have any friends to play with and communicate with your teammates. I think this will be much easier when they make a matchmaking system with VOIP and text chat. As far as I understand it is already in their roadmap. They had some QoL problems like fixed…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →so much fun playing this with friends, really enjoying it and i cant wait to see how it progresses.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →With todays young, they want everything right then and there, when they buy a car that isnt finished, they demand it and complain when it isnt ready, when they buy a game, they demand it be perfect and too soon, unlike the life they live nothing is perfect right out the bat, they want insta satisfaction, and buying into a early access game that isnt polished, they have complaints and give negative reviews, i waited one day and found this game amazing and love it, sure it has some bugs and wtf…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game came out in early access to get feedback from an outside source. yes it is $30 and my one question to people complaining about that fact is how would you assume a developer to continue development without being able to afford it? so far we have been met with nothing but positives coming from the devs. they have taken feedback and already started to improve on it. there are complaints i made about the game that have now been fixed. the concept of the game is a good one, and i believe…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's nice to see developers trying to fix the game instead of abandoning it after facing massive hate. for now, the game doesn't really have a lot of content so i don't recommend buying it YET, but looking at how devs try to fix everything is actually nice
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →my friends and I had a lot of fun and exciting moments but it still needs more variety and a bit more challenge and more maps to play
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As of writing, with barely two hours in the game, I recommend getting it on InstantGaming or G2A for a much cheaper price. If, you want this game. I can recommend you wait a few years. Contain is an overhyped, overpromised SCP-esque containment horror shooter. Lots of anomalies, maps, gear, in-depth customization. Yet, it was just another broken, unfinished alpha. The only ''anomalies'' you could really contain, were mission-based ''kill and investigate'' scenarios that tested your patience,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played on Linux using Proton Exp, It works but it's all round bad, Tried playing Single Player and the AI just hunts me down waits till i fluff about trying to get reloading of my gun working and kills me, the game tells you to press "R" twice fast for rapid reload but it never works for me, pressing "R" once does nothing, I have to hold "R" down and at some point the game code will do something on the lines of "is the player pressing and holding "R", err, err, yes he is, err, err what now,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was really excited to try this game because the initial trailer had me excited for a tactical shooter with a mix supernatural creatures. As someone who loves horror shooters I'll just be frank about it the assets for the game are clunky and look like they belong in a VR game nothing like the game play trailer even with all settings maximized. The enemy AI always know where you are and hunt you down with no chance to breathe. The guns are alright but after trying a few of them they just feel…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For saying its unreasl 5 the graphics look like its using the old source engine. Very very buggy, and definitely no fun at all. This is presently nowhere near ready for release, and a quick play does not resemble the game abvertised. Very misleading. Very buggy. Very bad.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool game, but I recommed waiting for the "its good now" update
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really appreciate the amount of attention the dev and support team has put into the game, and as someone who has worked with several of the firearms in here, such a good job simulating muzzle rise and handling. I really like the ability to put 45 degree offset optics, and think the gameplay is really well done so far. Also, the option to change how much or little gear you carry in is nice, but I would love to see where they take the game from where it is in early access launch. Maybe a little…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It costed me 13usd on my region. So, I will give it a try for and not gonna refund to support the dev. Pros: - nice gun and character redactor, I think it will be having more items soon. - hard AI, they're not flanking, but rushing you as soon as they hear your footsteps - Nice idea with anomalies, something reminds me a Ghostbusters :) - good graphics and physics, shooting, and gun recoil are good as well - dark and ambient atmosphere - RoN gameplay Cons: - my footsteps don't work great with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →UI interface and loading screen and image quality optimization and language are too few, I hope to update multiple languages and support mod and image quality optimization problems
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →pros: solid framework, decent gunplay, creepy atmosphere. cons: stiff animations, eehhhh at best map design, no magnifiers.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is it possible to add a function to turn off the depth of field? And the character's reload animation also needs to be adjusted, there is too much camera shake.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's clearly not a finished product, but there's already some fun to be had and performance is mostly fine (just stay away from smoke grenades). The environments are a bit of a mixed bag, but some underground and indoors spaces look great. The scanner, which allows you to see the location of objectives only intermittently, is an interesting mechanic, but I'd like to see it reveal way more spooky stuff as well. Gunplay feels solid, but the weapons and loadout customization system is weirdly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Please add controller support.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →We need more SWAT vs. Anomaly type games. Some maps feel like a generic shooter with a twist. Some feel like FEAR with a slower, more methodical approach. This is what I wish 5K felt like, and my god the potential is massive. It's very early, but this is probably one of the more exciting shooters I played in recent times, and I look forward to playing more. (I am looking for people to play with, feel free to add me :) )
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Neutral Review Game is currently unplayable, but has a considerable potential to become the next RON if devs are willing to listen to players and keep making progress. Current major problems: - The fonts are too small and compact to be recognized, especially on the customization page. - During the customization of the default rifle, which is called "Avalanche" something, the customized scope will be automatically changed into a weird-looking red dot sight after the player switches to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →crashes your game doesnt work at all devs fix this pile of ♥♥♥♥ its broken asf
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Trash game, we tryed it with friend, deleted afer 30min, btw I'm big fps fan but this is garbage LOL
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good! Very new, so not a lot here yet, but fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Firstly Contain is a unforgiving game. You have to be delicately careful while checking corners and it is not fast point and shoot game, if you rush or tactically run to everywhere you will not have best time while play. Atmosphere wise it has that dark energy with horror aspects. Gun customization section is perfect I hope they will add a modding section soon to people have modding, Modding keeps these EA games alive thats for sure. I mean there are dozens of EA games that left alone, I know.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First of all this game is amazing, considering that it came out this recently, but even with some somewhat "minor" bugs its an absolute blast, the devs are hard at working and releasing new patches what feels like everyday and the game is rapidly improving. 10/10 would recommend.
