negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short version: 55% Breathtakingly beautiful, bland busywork; it is doubtful the creators were aiming for this combination, but Chronicle Keepers has precious few strong points beyond its truly gorgeous graphics. Long version: Chronicle Keepers: The Dreaming Garden looks ravishing, there is no way around admitting that—the detailed scenery, the masterful use of colours, and the bold and exotic camera angles are a real work of art. However, the developers tried too much to showcase their work…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very short HO game with beautiful graphics. Let down by very easy gameplay and weak storyline. A little big laggy at times, but no glitches. No Steam achievements and I was unable to take screenshots during the game. A good introduction to this genre for new players. Experienced players will find this meh! Has a journal and fast travel map. Buy on sale. 7/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was not really all bad and not very great either. There is a travel map but no highlighted areas of interest. Also the voice overs are terrible and the graphics older. It will run on current widescreen monitors however, just overall not a satisfying game for me. You may like it however I would recommend getting it on sale.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Chronicle Keepers: The Dreaming Garden is another hidden object game set in a fantasy land. You play a woman on a search for her mother which turns into a more complicated journey finding magical artifacts and fighting evil forces. While not the best HOG out on the market, it is pretty and fun to play. The price tag isn’t too bad and even better when on sale and will give you a few hours of entertainment for certain. In the real world lives a woman who was separated from her mother years ago.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A colorful hidden object game from Playway. I enjoyed playing it in casual mode. Puzzles are interesting but not too difficult. I had a good rhythm going while playing. I would have enjoyed the beautiful artwork more if it were available in higher resolution than 720p.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →pros - gorgeous looking and colorful background artwork - good voice acting - engaging fantasy world and atmosphere - story is intriguing - hidden object elements are fun. - hint system very helpful - there is auto save cons - game is short. - puzzles too easy. - stiff character animation.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A bit short but I'm rather fast with HOGs and this one is pretty straightforward and linear, so the game was fast. The graphics are very good, some of the scenes are gorgeous. The sounds and music are okay, voices are nice. The minigames are very well done. The HOG scenes are really gorgeous. The items can sometimes be hard to find, and a couple of items were mislabeled, but on the whole the HOGs scenes are of above average quality: very beautiful and challenging. Searching all the scenes with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not enough HO scenes and generally not fun. A 35/100 effort. The good The alternative view given by the medallion is a neat feature A few interesting locations The bad Scant HO scenes Repetitive music/effects Blurred graphics that don't scale well Short Minimal replay value Puzzles are too easy
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While this game isn't the best of the best, it's definitely worth a play, especially with its reasonable price tag. The addition of the talisman-view to find even-more-hidden hidden objects is a nice touch that adds some uniqueness to the game. Graphics seem a little outdated but they're colorful and nicely put together. More importantly, the hidden object scenes are very nicely done without any pixel-hunting or egregious naming errors. The scenes aren't immensely challenging but they…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was enjoying it until I reached the point where you use the pickaxe. Game always crashes there.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not good game. It is very confusing and not clear what to do.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just recently discovered hidden object games and bought Chronicle Keepers: The Dreaming Garden on a steep sale. I've been playing these types of games on a HTPC connected to my LCD TV, which barely meets the recommended requirements for this game. Other HOGs have performed fine. Performance for Chronicle Keepers however was sluggish; transitions from one location to the next took a noticeable pause, as did zoomed in windows for hotspots. Kaspersky also quarantined the game executable…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"I was thoroughly enjoying this game until I lost a whole profile. In addition, I couldn't access a second profile after it kept crashing at the same point. Whenever I broke the same wall (not my house btw) in the game, it would crash. It is a real shame that it cannot be rectified according to some sources. It appears a refund is the only answer at this stage. Unless, anyone else might know how to fix it? I would really like to complete all of the puzzles. It would've been a 'thumbs up' for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game stops when I try to break a wall. Too bad coz I was actually liking it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's okay. It just lags on specific parts and causes minor motion sickness... Which is why I can't really finish it. Otherwise it looks cool... Just an older game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thumbs down. The story is about average for a hidden object game, but there is way too much pixel hunting to find hotspots. It’s really frustrating to think of the right answer, but not be able to implement it because the hitbox is too small to recognize a click in the general area. In addition, there were some glitches when running the game. Not recommended.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A hidden object game that tells a story and has a couple of different types of puzzels thrown in for good measure too. Is it the best story telling? No, but I enjoyed it depite the predictability. I think that my 8 year old neice would really enjoy the story though as although it isn't complicated, it isn't babyish. I bought a few of these games when they were reduced on sale, I'm not sure I would pay full price for them (they seem to be about £4-£6 normally) but for £2 on sale? Bargin! * I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do not purchase this game. I was lucky I only paid less than a dollar when it was on a major sale but the game crashes to desktop when you break a wall with a pickaxe. I Googled the error and apparently this has been the same bug the game has had since 2014 and nothing was done to fix it. I don't care how cheap it is, it is a waste of money if you cannot play it past a certain point. I don't know if anyone else got it to work but I could not. Too bad because I may have given it a better…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Littered with spelling errors, flawed logic and annoying art. Do not recommend.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One hidden object scene was broken and I couldn't continue the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Chronicle Keepers has some of the best backgrounds I've seen in a hidden objet game. Unfortunately it's inconvenienced by jerky mouse cursor movements (it helps to disable the custom cursor), terrible animations, and a boring story where all antagonists are dealt with in less than 3 seconds. (Also, the spirit that helps you... Is it supposed to be evil? It acts like it's evil, but nothing ever comes out of it. Maybe they wanted room for a sequel...) I liked the medallion mechanism, where you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good HOG with quite good graphics and interesting story. But HO screens are dark and with grey colours. It is a remainder of older games. Sometimes it is necessary to do a pixel hunting to click correct place. Screens and places have nice graphics but they looks flat sometimes without correct perspective. The story is interesting but playing the game was not so interesting. Every screen had to be checked twice. With glass for green pieces and normally for standard playing. it was boring after…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A decent HOG with beautiful graphics. There are at least two puzzles that are not logical at all and occasionally the grammar is a bit wonky. Other than that, the experience was pleasant throughout. I'd say get if you like these sorts of games and want to kill 2-3hrs.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very short, easy story. Worth getting on big sale. Only for genre fans.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →every hidden object game is fking better than any ♥♥♥♥-cheap games around
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this recently at a great discount and the landscape art alone is worth far more! The scenery throughout this game is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking, very befitting a fantasy world. I was also drawn into the story when the opening scenes took place in a bookshop. I also appreciated the creativity in having a variety of mini games. The hidden object scenes were also really nice, which I always enjoy. While the scenery was amazing, the characters looked and sounded awkward. Also,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Generally, I enjoy hidden object puzzle games, but this one let me down. The game crashes at certain parts (known issue) and the only recourse seems to be to change the difficulty and enter into windowed mode. The beauty of the graphics does not redeem this game. If you enjoy a casual play you might be able to finish this without difficulty, but if you enjoy a harder game (no hints, etc.) this is not for you.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As much as it pains me, I cannot recommend this game. The visuals are wonderful and the music was good, but the negative issues caused a lot of frustration. Positives: + Wonderful visuals + Good music + Decent story Negatives: - Required use of the "medallion" causes you to have to search every screen at least three times -- once with the medallion to see if there are required items in that mode, once in normal mode, and at least one more time with the medallion to see if any items appeared…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pretty standard HOG. Pretty graphics, linear story (forget about the "side quests" mentioned in the blurb, there are none), not-too-great English grammar. Still, for its price it's worth adding to the collection - at least if you're a HOG aficionado.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fortunately, I was one of the lucky ones that didn't encounter the crash I've read in the reviews. (Maybe because I have an older computer?) Although, there is a glaring lag between scene transitions that did mildly irk me since I've rarely come across these kinds of pauses in HOGs. Surprisingly, there isn't much to say about this game. The story was interesting enough, and so were the backgrounds. I think what broke the immersion for me was the poor voice acting and stiff character art. I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not very challenging but fun to play while you relax.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You play a young adult who lost here mother 10 years ago, but not in this wold, in a Dream world. She was attacked buy a foul creature who tried to destroy both of you, your mother protected you as best as she could and you managed to get away with the help of an unknown person, but not her. All that is left of your mother is a fragment of her medallion. When you look through it, you can see things that are not from this world and linked to your mothers medallion. You now look for a way back to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fun to play. Some of the pieces are a little difficult to find; you have to keep looking in locations. But I enjoyed the game. It's really not difficult and would be OK for most kids.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice change of pace from my usual gaming habits. I do enjoy the point and click hidden object games and this one has an interesting twist. I like the story line and its a nice little gem for your library.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A bad hidden object game which is full of bugs and has messed up sound settings.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game for kids under 10-15 but cringe if you're an adult. Lovely Tree wallpaper.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recommended for HOG fans. I enjoyed my time with this game. It is visually appealing and has very smooth game play. It lacked a bit in challenge and has a mediocre story, but this is expected with this style of game. The length and price seem about right and I will likely soon forget the experience, but if you like hidden object games, its worth a go.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Didn't find everything. Not really a fan of having to go over every screen with a artifact that is the equivilent of a colored monicle. The story line was meh at best. Honestly unless you get in on sale or are one of the die hard fans of hidden object games dont bother.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can only buy ultimate mega bundle as a gift at -95% off at $7.51 will not let me purchase for my self this seems like fraud
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked this game, it was different to other HOG in that you have to use an amulet to find things. The hidden object scenes were good, and the puzzles aren't difficult. One of the relaxing ones. Spent 3.1hrs so only worth $1 or so.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just no. The music is annoying due to it starts again everytime you click something. No fun and all work makes me refund.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For a hidden object game, it's not that bad. I mean I have played worse, trust me. BUT after a while I found myself bored. The artstyle is fine and the story looks okay but that's it, just OK. The thing I really don't like about this game is the voice acting. It's terrible. If you are really looking for a good hidden object game with an interesting story that is not exactly what you are looking for.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great hidden objects game! Has a very simple but decent storyline, no penalties for accidental clicking, no time limits! (Depending on difficuty chosen) Different difficulty settings to make it as easy or hard as you want and multiple save file ability. Definitely recommend this game if you love hidden object games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short, cute little HO game. The writing and acting are definitely not the best, but it is pretty, has more HO puzzles than some HO games, and the medallion mechanic is rather fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mine crashes at the same point. I spent too much time clicking everywhere. Otherwise seems good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THIS GAME IS BROKEN. DO NOT BUY! Game crashes is the norm, not the exception. If you try to resume a save, the program will crash every single time. Developer only offers one piece of advice: ask for a refund. "WE CANT HELP. THERE WANT INFO about this game before. I think its best to refund" I stopped my first gameplay session after 2 hours, so I'm stuffed. ----- Until that time, I actually was impressed. Compared to some of the dud HO games I've played at least. There's a love/hate…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Certainly not the best in hidden object games. 3 hours in I managed to click a bad spot and break the scripts, and the game saved my progress in that state. Not finding a solution online, I was forced to teach myself enough Polish to fiddle around with the script files, certainly more of a challenge than any of the game's puzzles. Searching around, I'm not the only one that ran into a dead-end that would have forced a game restart, the engine's extremely easy to glitch out by clicking too…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While I had fun playing the game, the voice overs were terrible. Once I turned them off, it was just fine. Definitely worth what I paid for it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful game with fun puzzles. Only problems: at the end the hints did not actually lead me to the right answer, and the ending is extremely lame.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall, pleasurable hidden object game experience
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Chronicle Keepers: The Dreaming Garden is a relaxed, fantasy-themed hidden object adventure that embraces the traditions of classic point-and-click puzzle design. Developed by Novaq Games and published by Ultimate Games S.A., the game is clearly aimed at players who enjoy methodical exploration, scenic environments, and gentle puzzle solving rather than fast reflexes or complex mechanics. Its overall structure and pacing reflect a deliberate commitment to accessibility, making it well suited to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bit of a shame it has so many bad reviews. Grab it on sale; it's fun enough. The detection on clicking on items when using the in-game pointer is sometimes awkward in the HO scenes. There's no penalty for using the hints though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't recommend the game. The game was good for the price, but the game will not work now. I got 3 hours play. which is good again for the price. But I can't complete the game. I will change my rating and comments when fixed .

At least as far as I've played for now. (1 1/2 H) 3 hours in... I really tried to like this game, but I just couldn't. It didn't hook me or keep me entertained. I found it slow and boring and even somewhat weird. I did enjoy the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Chronicle Keepers: The Dreaming Garden is a charming and relaxing game that really surprised me. There’s something really appealing about the combination of exploration, mystery, and that almost fairy-tale-like atmosphere. I found myself wanting to keep playing just to see what was around the next corner and learn more about the world. If you’re looking for a game you can get lost in for a while, I’d happily recommend giving this one a chance. Enjoy :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finished! A fun HOG with some great art, and sadly a couple of major bugs. I had to skip a few of the earlier puzzles because the "interactive" bits didn't line up with the background, making them impossible to finish. I was also unable to take screenshots, and the game crashed during a cutscene near the end (thankfully I didn't lose any progress and could still continue after I reloaded). Still worth playing if you don't mind the issues!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →played game as a kid, thumbs up
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game breaking bug an hour into the game. Kept crashing in the same spot even after restarting the whole game from scratch. Kinda shoddily made overall. When trying to fix it I discovered every single animation frame in game is saved as a separate jpeg file.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game crash after using the pickaxe in the dungeion. Can't finish the game. This bug was reported several time since 2015 and was never fixed
