40 of 40 · most liked firstI was pretty excited for this game due to its concept of mixing a bunch of popular indie games. However, I've played for 20 minutes and I just feel disappointed. The game feels clunky and the combat doesn't have much variation to it. The AI is not good at all, I was able to beat the highest level bots by just spamming light attack. Usually this doesn't matter, but there's no online so playing with bots is the only way to enjoy the game if you don't have friends around. Everything about this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, what should I say first? I was very surprised when I randomly found this game Steam, searching for something new. Trailer looked awesome, music is something what you actually expect from a game about heroes from indie games. Very enjoyable. Plus we can notice heroes from games that we like, or not, either way it catches the eye because it's familiar. It all makes you expect something like Smash Bros. Developers claims that this game is inspired by Skullgirls and Street Fighter. Sounds…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The animations and hit registry are atrocious. Music is good and the character selection is pretty nice but overall feels really jank. This needed more time....... The special moves are a bunch of sparkle effects. The effects on your attack are what is counted as the hit, not the sword swinging or the punch landing its the effects they throw off that hits. Locked at 1080p resolution or lower. No multiplayer lobby or match making.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thought it had potential it got release too early with too many issues and way too many delays how one dev got the rights to all these characters for his first project i have no idea if they ever consider asking community for help to fix then maybe it could go some where but now its pretty meh
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First things first, i believe this game should be released as an Early Access title, that would save it from lots of trouble. It has many flaws that i'll point further down in the review but it has space for improvement. It's biggest attraction & selling point as you can imagine, are the various indie characters from many different games (Dead Cells, Blasphemous, Awesomenauts, Owlboy, Nuclear Throne, Guacameele and many more). Pros ~ The Graphics are really neat , characters (at least the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Me feel sad. I was looking forward to playing this game for so long, I though the delay was supposed to have some polish made. but unfortunately, the game still quite buggy. and over roll it did not feel like a finished game at all Punch: the attack feedback was poor, feels like you are punching air collider (Hit box) was not working properly; some attack looks like it should hit opponent but not. Particle effect seems unrelated Bounty feature: The bounty part does not instruct well, I have…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Now i know that there team is VERY SMALL and this is their first outing but sometimes you gotta accept the truth. I hate to do this, and i hope it doesn't go off onto a tangent, but here it is: The game's concept is amazing. Having indie characters duke it out against each other within a roster that boasts quite a few fan favourites (whilst lacking others) makes this a wonderful thing. They look great, sound great but unfortunately do not play great. EVER. Combat is boring, repetitive and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After a few post-release patches, Bounty Battle is now playing smoothly. It aims for Smash Bros' simplicity: normal attacks are varied by holding a direction with a button press, special attacks function the same way, and that's it. No combos, no counters, and no secret special moves. The problem is the game couldn't stop itself there. The additional systems are all certainly well-meaning: an energy cost for special attacks to encourage mixing in normal ones, spamming punishments to discourage…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was initially very excited about this game due to its interesting and varied cast of characters that were presented in trailers and promotional materials. Loading up and playing the game on release day was extremely disappointing in both gameplay and visuals. Paired with lackluster multiplayer options, Bounty Battle on release was a complete and utter failure. Regardless of such problems, I held onto the game hoping that the devs would patch and fix Bounty Battle into a game they could be…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've put almost 10 hours into the game which I feel is enough to write a review fairly. So first off yes there is a lot of issues that need to be addressed (the discussions says it all) But! that doesn't mean the game isn't fun. I was able to look the other way with all the issues and actually enjoy the game fully and I have to say it's actually good! A lot of people may not agree with me but i'm not here to argue i'm here to say that this game does have a lot of potential and even though it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would recomend it for people who enjoy indie titles and games that look good. I want to see this game do well and I am sure it well. Besides, it might not be a great game right now, but this was the first project of these devs. Im sure they would wanna try and make their first game as fun as they can. But I would give this a solid 6/10. Its got a lot of potential though and I support it. Even if right now its not the greatest game ever.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No online, Weird hitboxes and hit reg, Skins that you won't care to ever use and boring overall content. Good idea for the indie heroes but it needs tremendous work to justify its existence.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was really excited when I first found out about this game. The trailer looked great, even a few gameplay videos looked exciting. I could immediately tell things weren't what I was hoping. The entire game is clunky, even navigating the menu was difficult. I'm not the brightest bulb, but come on. Controls are tough, tutorial didn't help much, lots of things are left unexplained. Not much to do in the game, especially since there's no online multiplayer feature yet. Animations and movement was…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i do NOT recommend even trying this game, it's clunky and limited, if you want an indie fighter, buy rivals of aether and find some mods. This game is bad

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are barely any iconic indie game characters. Shovel Knight, Shantae, Hat Kid and even Sans should've been in this game. The only indie characters I recognise are... Juan (Gaucemelee) Sheriff Lonestar (Awesomenauts) The Beheaded (Dead Cells) Rusty (Steamworld Dig) The attacks barely have any impact, there is little to no voice acting (apart from the announcer) and, despite the empty slots on the character select screen, there are no unlockable or DLC characters. Play Fraymakers or…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to like this game, the concept is so cool, but i can't stomach the jank, clunk, and clutter of this game. please, do yourself a favor, avoid this game at all costs.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This review gives me no joy to write as someone that loves both platform battles like Smash Bros. and many of the IPs/characters represented in this game, but this game is downright bad on nearly every level. People are not exaggerating when they say it feels like a flash game. Almost all the stages are without platforms and are flat enclosed small arenas. The attacks are sluggish and slow, the AI terrible. The menus and tutorial all have this visual glitch effect that looks less intentional…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In contrast of the other reviews I liked this game. Specially the wide choice of all the heroes is very cool. I liked the art style of the fight levels. Maybe one thing I think that could be better are the superpowers. Those are not that special. All after all Bounty Battle is a decent fighting game, but the choice of the many heroes gives something special to this game. Also I think the game has a fair price. Here is an example of the gameplay: https://youtu.be/PXjRd8kz45I
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Negatives: Everything, this game feels horrible this game LOOKS HORRIBLE the game is literally the worst thing ive ever played in the fighting genre, as a beta tester I sent in my honest feedback, and they decided to delay the game, cool cool, except they delayed it by a month and fixed nothing The bounty system is half baked Some of the promised content is now being resold to us as DLC A lot of the characters have moves that are straight up unfaithful to the source game (eg: rustys steam punch…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am amending my review to add this: Judging by the developer's social media, this game has been abandoned. Online multiplayer and DLC characters, something that was said to be in the works, do not seem to be ever coming out. I was fortunate to have not paid for this game. The combat is some of the worst I've ever played in a platform fighter. It's unpolished, janky and spammy. It's incredibly shallow on content, with very little single-player variety or local co-op. There is no online…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game really should have launched in early access—it’s clear it needs more time to develop. I had high hopes, but even after a short play session, it became obvious that there’s a lot to improve. In my first match, I found myself stuck in the stage after being hit, with no way to escape. The next game allowed for a bit more movement, but everything felt painfully slow. The hitboxes and character motion were confusing; I often didn’t know what was happening. Curious to see how the AI…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Debating on whether or not I should request a refund. How they managed to pull all these characters into a budget of less than $40k is beyond me. But that small budget left a scar on the game itself. Jerky animations, awful gimmicks, poor tutorial, no online multiplayer...just a few of the many quirks. Had a lot of hype for this game, but sadly this isn't worth anyone's time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Combat feels really slow and clunky. Brawlhalla is better and it's free. Combat looks/feels nothing like the trailers or streams. Hit boxes seem off with enemies being right in the middle of the giant sword swinging down and not hitting since I guess the bottom half of swords don't exist here. characters feel feathery light. I may have been expecting too much with many of my favorite indie game characters on the roster. Game has a mechanic to prevent/discourage spamming yet by the time it gets…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great fighting game and a lot of fun playing it. An incredible set of characters, plenty of visual fx. You can't be wrong if you like the "Super Smash Bros" genre on console :) I strongly recommend it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bounty Battle is a platform crossover fighting game where up to 4 players can select between 30 characters from their respective indie games in battles. Each character is capable of summoning a minion to aid the fight as well.
unlabelledView post →Man, 4 years ago is a long time, I wonder if the developer applied all the critiques I had for the game…kinda? Here let me tell you. Out of all of my criticisms, half of them were just ignored, a few I couldn’t tell if they actually fixed it or not, and then only 2 of my criticisms actually got fixed, plus, I found some new problems that I didn’t find before. It’s been like 4 years, and now the steam page is mostly negative, and honestly, out of all of the games we’ve tried in this genre, it is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the worst fighting games I've ever played. A waste of cool characters from indie games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Spent so much time hoarding all the guest characters, they forgot to put the game in.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible game. Graphics are amature, gameplay and controls are worse than those old flash games from 1999 that you could play for free in your webbrowser. I've also heard stories that the devs abandoned the project and couldn't even be bothered to fulfill their promise of online play. So yeah, avoid.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yikes. Large large yikes. This game has disappointed me greatly and that sucks because the source material games are all made with so much love and this just feels like a janky flash game that was made in 3 days for an indie game jam. Best part about the game is the roster but that isn't a compliment for the game rather than it is for the indie game characters they bought the rights to. Controls are incredibly clunky, easily beat the hardest difficulty ai just by button mashing the light attack…

unlabelledView post →I want to preface this by saying I knew exactly what I was getting into here. Plenty of these reviews are horror stories from the people following this game since its Fig campaign in 2017 and it not being anywhere near as good as they hoped, but I didn't know of this game until it was already panned and clearly abandoned. I enjoy experiencing a trainwreck of a game from time to time, but I also wanted to approach this dead game as a new player in a post-Fraymakers world and put it through its…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gameplay is awful and half of the modes don't even work properly with my xbox controller and a quarter of the roster is made up of OCs, but I'd be lying if I didn't say that intro cutscene was hype AF.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good idea but sucks in execution. The tournament mode only lets you be Azell, and no online multiplayer.
