Game looks like it has potential, if you like the old graphic style of games like the Gothic Series, The Guild etc..., But sadly, I cannot recommend this game, even at a lowly $4, since you will most likely never get to play it. At least not on a modern machine.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game should have an achievement for just getting to run the damn thing for a few minutes without crashing or hell just ran the damn thing at all. Then you'd feel like you really accomplished something!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You'd think mixing elements of fantasy and futuristic technology would sound awesome. Well, it would be if this game wasn't the bug-filled mess that it is. Enemies ALWAYS get back up and fight after keeling over (making kill quests unplayable), getting stuck on stairs due to buggy path finding, and poor Russian to English translation make this boring fetch-quest simulator a total waste of time and money. Ditch this ugly, dated mess and save your money for a better game.

I turned off the Music and set Compatiblity Mode to XP SP3, did not crash after the changes. I played for 27 min. trying to get the player up and down some stairs in the first building I entered. The Player Character is stuck on the landing, acts like the stairs are an obstacle. Took 10 mins of…

Много кто пишет что фризит игру, есть такое, просто нужно подождать, иногда по минут 5-10, но оно прогружает. Из настроек убрать траву и уменьшить текстуры, будет быстрее загружатся карта и фризить будет меньше. 👏 ============================================ 👍 The game is cool, the atmosphere is super, the music clings. A lot of bugs, but when you plunge into the game, you do not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First of all, I kind of expected worse. I mean, what we have here is a Russian RPG from two companies – Saturn Plus (creators of Red Comrades series) and Orion (the guys behind Stalin Subway). Naturally, you can't help but expect something small and ugly. And BorderZone? Well, it's ugly, all right. But it sure isn't small. Actually, what we have here is quite big 3D open world game. With Gothic-like design and battle system from Vampire: The Masquerade – Redemption. Sounds good, right? Maybe…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best old school RPG's that I have ever played. After they fixed the pathing bugs the game is amazing. It is so ahead of its time, for a game so old to have such an immersive storyline, attention to detail and even WORKING MIRRORS, which you know that most rpg nowadays don't. I 100% recommend this game. The best delivered mix of medieval fantasy and sci fi to date for a single player game. One of the most underrated RPG's as well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So the game has finally been patched to work with Windows 8.1. It even supports more modern resolutions now. I tried BorderZone despite the endless amount of negative reviews because I wanted to experience the gameplay for myself. I gave the game a chance, I really, really did. If you like RPGs and action adventure games, you will probably still dislike this game. The aesthetics are lacking - the character models and detail in the backgrounds are weak and bland. The different armor and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite the amazing logo for the game, what you are actually getting is just a bad version of Gothic with abysmal controls and poor performance.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think I've found the absolute worst game on Steam! Forget about Bad Rats or Air Control, this is BORDERZONE. Despite it claiming compatibility with Windows 7, this "game" is nearly impossible to get to run at all. Even when it does run for more than 5 minutes without crashing, those 5 minutes are more annoying than anything else. Graphics that look like they came from the early 90s at best, bad sound, horrible visual effects, clunky controls, boring combat, and one of the worst interfaces…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't let the 12 hours playtime fool you - I actually didn't get to play it for even an hour. The rest of the time it was frozen in the background and me trying to not get the game to crash my entire computer. Stay away from this - You literally can't even play it.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I highly recommend this game !! Most of the bad reviews come from the fact that the game used to have problems running on the new platforms ,but now it's no longer a problem since it got fixed. So have fun and enjoy your game.!!! (:
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this game a lot when a was just a kid. The gameplay is so bad but it all about the story, i rly like BorderZone for making my childhood great :) Kids of today will never understand what a good game needs.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →1C Company. Publishers of crap, all you need to know really. If a game has 2 languages listed on it's store page and 1 of them Russian besides English, you can pretty much guarantee it's garbage.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do you like the music in the trailer? Are you ready to hear it for 20+ hours? No, no one is. And no one would, because no one in their right mind would play more than 30 minutes of this game before quitting and uninstalling. The muddy, horrrible graphics hurt the eyes. The clunky movement will aggrivate. Please do not try to actualy play this game. If this came in a bundle, and you want your steam cards from this game, do yourself a solid favor: 1. Mute your computer 2. Launch the game, attempt…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Make sure to cap the game at 60FPS using any means necessary. Many core mechanics are linked to the FPS, so leaving it uncapped will cause major issues. I'll update the review again once I've had a chance to properly play the game with this newfound fix, but I wanted to publicly make a note so that my comments below could be ignored for the time being. In the five hours I’ve already sunk into this game, I’ve managed to clear nine rooms of what I believe to be a ten room dungeon, two of those…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →BorderZone is a game that I can't recommend because: - have a big price for his quality - is a boring RPG - you have to wait too much time to skip the videos or to start a new game The only good reason to install this game is for the trading cards.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crash City! Loads up then HARD-LOCKS your PC (Windows 7 Home Professional) Total waste of money! Steam should be ashamed for selling this crap! Steam is stealing money by selling this game. Shame on you Steam! This is the last game I will ever but from (Publisher) 1C Company or (Developer) Saturn-plus, Orion. These companies should be ashamed as well. I wouldn't recommend this game if they had a gun to my head!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →BorderZone is an ancient game from 2006. It's a whopping 18 years old at the time of this review. The game lacks support for any modern gaming display resolutions (or widescreen monitors), hasn't been modernised or updated to run smoothly on modern gaming PCs. Despite this lack of modernisation, it carries a pretty high price tag for such an ancient game. This seems to have been put on Steam as a nostalgia gouge, or just a cash grab to try profit from abandonware. This action RPG was rough…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to love this game BUT I can't,.. Movement, key settings for actions, characters and npcs that end up stamding like Micheal Jackson in Moonwalker at a 45 degree angle and WORSE, disappearing entirely along with ANY hard won booty from your line up. There was a post recently, promising ALL bugs had been fixed so I excitedly re-installed it and saw imediately it WASN'T fixed but perservered anyway and now, once again, 'Roxanne has done a runner' with some decent gear and I've had it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not reviewing this game from it's graphic, gameplay, difficulty or anything like that. since I don't even know how the loading screen look like. I only "hit the play button and minimize" Pro: + got this almost free ( from a cheap bundle ) + steam cards to sell Con: - it took more than 2 hours to farm all 3 cards
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →BorderZone, developed by Saturn-plus and Orion and published by Fulqrum Publishing, is an action RPG that reflects the ambition and rough edges of mid-2000s design. It combines real-time combat, party management, and a branching narrative set in a world where remnants of modern civilization collide with fantasy elements. The game sets out to deliver a large, choice-driven experience, but while its ideas are compelling, the execution often struggles to keep pace with its scope. The setting of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The graphics are dim and the controls feel like a relic from the 80s, yet occasionally I get a nostalgic thrill of being in a vintage adventure film, and I just can’t resist the chaos!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played for 20 minutes and have started the game 3 times because of bugs. First game i got stuck in a corner after picking something up, then the game crashed on me. Second time, i wasn't able to talk to people anymore. Third the game constantly told me "Olaf is tired and cannot walk anymore", two minutes after starting the game and making maybe a combined 20 steps - I wasn't allowed to rest either. The game lacks a tutorial, i wasn't able to figure out how to open my inventory, you have…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So the first thing I noticed was the god awful soundtrack, so I turned it off and noticed that the game barely has any sounds at all. Visually I really like this and it truly feels like an RPG of old, but then you realise it came out in 2005 and it feels like a game that came out about 5-9 years earlier. You know what you have to do from the quest logs, but you don't know where the places and persons are. Combat is okay, but your teammates are way too stupid and run into their death all the…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a great game man, idk what people are on about, played many hours no crashes. A very large and grandiose singleplayer RPG. You even have a party of team members that follow you around its pretty sweet the controls suck. definately is true. WASD controls and no clipping on models would have completely saved this game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game's UI and controls make it unplayable. I have a huge threshold for bad games, but your character gets tired walking and you have to stand for 10 minutes before walking again. And these walks are like 100 meters. I'm like level 10 in real life compared to this guy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The controls are clunky and the character gets stuck because of the bugs. There is also no tutorial.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →bugged for high fps PC
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this on sale and still feel like I got ripped off. No tutorial, no quest indicators so far as I could tell, your WALK is limited by your slowly regenerating stamina so you WILL just stop until it comes back. I didn't make it very far, but what I played was a mess of bad design decisions.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Quality" Russian jank.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like old jank RPG games so i tried hard to like this game but it is impossibly frustrating and broken. + premise sounds interesting + i guess some spells are cool + decent skill and build variety + weapon, armour and loot variety is decent + price seems fair - always getting stuck in random places, especially inside - broken quests - frustrating stamina system - you walk, you get tired, you have to rest in a place for like 5min. 10x worse than Morrowind system which i quite like. -…
