Boo! Greedy Kid
Developer Flying Oak Games
In "Boo! Greedy Kid", you play as a small brat who's so into soda that he doesn't blink an eye before wreaking havoc to get his favorite drink. Go frighten people with your own voice! (or a controller, that's fine too) From the Steam store page

We mutually agreed to give this game its due retirement, figuratively (it's still being sold). And reminder that we open-sourced it: github.com/FlyingOakGam...
unlabelledView post →Boo! Greedy Kid is a casual indie puzzler with a very simple-to-understand, yet challenging levels. Check out this review and many others on Save or Quit: https://saveorquit.com/2018/04/09/review-boo-greedy-kid/ Short description One day, you ask your father for some change to get that can of soda you really want from the vending machine. Your father declines your request in a rather impolite way, causing you to lose your temper, scare him to death and collect his money. As it turns out, you…

Every level is a fast dash of skill to get it completely right and variables like characters' placements/behaviors don't repeat if you restart, so you can learn a level's layout but you'll have to adapt on the fly to new elements. Also, the level of polish is just beautiful. Boo!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →OMG, I can truly relate to the good old days of my youth with this GAME! Its the perfect brat machine! Mooning, hiding and screaming to get what you want or should I say need. Cash and Soda...The game is simple, fun and fast to learn and has great replay value. However letting the young ones play a game like this is just a recipe of pain... So if you are looking for a good adventure like puzzler and want a good bang for your buck this one really does it. Enjoy

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →'Boo! Greedy Kid' is a cool little puzzle game where you scare the s*** out of old folks so that that they fall into stroke-like fits and spill their pocket change for you to steal. However, some old folks don't go down easy and will give you a smack in a spat of anger if your first attempt at spooking them doesn't do the trick - of course, you can always just hide for a bit and try again >:). Of course, you'll also need to contend with security guards and the like who won't want to put up with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A retro arcade-style game, with tight controls and good level design. The game is very fun to speed-run( in order to get under par times in every level) and even though the Kid's moveset is limited, there are ways to minimize your times, f.e. rolling through an open door to close it, instead of stopping in your tracks and pressing up. My only 2 small gripes are: 1) the level select cursor moves very slowly, so selecting later levels takes a bit ( a big contrast to the overall 'snappiness' of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boo! Greedy Kid is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. I say platformer, but I am not 100% sure this counts... it's more like a 2D "adventure" action game, as you don't jump between platforms, instead you run between doors and elevators as part of the gameplay. And gameplay, wow. The objective of the game is to run up behind senior citizens and kill them by startling them, which causes…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boo! Greedy Kid is a challenging one for me to accomplish, especially if you are the player type who mostly aim on completing the game with the achievement being done too. For my own opinion, it was actually fun and strategic to begin with. You can play modes such as campaigns and other steam workshop contents created by other devoted players. Each levels were comprise with system-default difficulties as you encounter and passed them from time to time. I am glad somehow, that I as a player…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Arcade spooking game, really solid all around, no complaints. The pixel art is great and the levels are fun enough. I'm surprised it's not more popular, nice game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice little game featuring a bratty kid and lots and lots of soda. Boo! Greedy Kid, follows well... a Greedy kid as he goes from floor to floor shouting behind elderly backs frighting them and swiping their pocket change for some sweet, sweet fluids. As in lots and lots of bubbly Soda. But he'll also need to avoid plenty of obstacles in his way in a sizable 99 Level Campaign. Boo! Greedy Kid also has pretty detailed pixel art which is pretty nice on the eyes. Gameplay, in Boo! Greedy Kid…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is absolutely nothing fun about this game. But it is competently made. Get it for your kid when it's on sale. I will not be playing this because it's boring AF
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is quite fun. The gameplay consists of moving between rooms in a building trying to scare old people and steal their money for soda. Funny premise, cute graphics, good music, plenty of levels and acessible price. For the 100%, you need to run through the levels without taking damage and going fast enough, while this is quite formulaic and slightly RNG depentant, it's nothing too bad and finding the path is still fun. 7/10 - Pretty good at what it does, especially for the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WOW this is bad. Just wow. The controller layout is horrendous, and unlike the keyboard, it does not allow remapping. But besides that, even if the controller layout was spot on, the hit detection is completely broken. Half the time when I use the shout button and am right next to the "victim", it misses. Even if I am right on top of them. This is how bad the control layout is, and I am not kidding (imagine an xbox 4 face button diamond controller). Shout is on the B button Action is on the A…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Casual game, good for a few laughs I guess. After 10 minutes you are basically playing the same level over and over. There is nothing of value here. if you want to get bored to death this game is always on sale on GMG and other similar sites. Really can't recommend this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I highly appreciate the style of this game. Reminds me of the different arcade of the 80-90's. I appreciate the gradual increase of difficult with various obstacle. My main issue is that it could have used a variety of music, we have only one on loop. It is not atroucious but it can be grading after a while. Really fun and quick.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For me it's just not fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite a fun game once you get the hang of it. I ended up just trying to finish it and getting 67\99 stars. The last achievement seems like it would be a bit trying to do no hit runs (retain all cash) and under time in every level. Thus I'd say this one isn't absolute completionist friendly; still worth a play especially if you catch it on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very odd and funny game for spooky season.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun filled game of scaring grandparents in a catholic nursing home and running off with their cash afterwards. Avoid cops, nurses, swat teams, terrorists, and other hazards and beat the clock! Also comes with a level editor. A couple of historic inaccuracies. Our grandparents didn't have money, the home they stayed in usually took it all or almost all of it or they lost it paying for their pills to keep alive and cheat death and we had to buddy up to get the money from our parents/kids.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a solid title. I bought it blind, as is fun to do sometimes, and was mildly delighted with what I found. The graphics, though yet ANOTHER entry in the pixel style glut, add a lot to the game. In particular, the animations actually provide helpful information about what works, how to do things, etc. I can't fault the designers here, stylistic approach worn thin or otherwise. The audio is nearly as good, but not quite. It matches the presentation, but isn't as full or detailed. I muted…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very nice little game with excellent graphics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The idea is good. But the graphics are so terrible i cant stand it. Actually i'm getting tired of all these pixel-games. I had my Commodore 64, and that was the best time of my life, but this is just sad. But nu, just no. Should never have wasted my precious chrono-coins on this. At least it didnt cost me anything. Maybe other people like it, but i find it annoying, dont buy it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DISCLAIMER: This is a first impressions review, and NOT a full review Boo! Greedy Kid is a game developed by Flying Oak Games and published by Plug In Digital The game offers some nice graphics, although some ugly glitches here and there, it is pleasant all the same The game does suffer with some repetitiveness at certain areas of the game but a fun game nonetheless Boo! Greedy Kid overall, however, is a fun game to play, yet sometimes repetitive and it does get boring if being played for…
