60 of 72 · most liked firstI bought the game on sale, then after an hour or so of gameplay, asked for a refund. It's not because it's not a good game, but because it has too many things I'm looking for that is not yet available at this early stage of the game. It would be great to have a co-op adventure, not just a multiplayer battle mode-- what I was looking for at this time as I was looking for something to play with my non-gamer wife. To be fair, I still recommend the game. To be fair, I still will look forward to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game smell good the 90's! If you miss playing to your Super nes or your Mega Drive(Genesis), just click and buy this game! It's not just a cowboy skin of bomberman, this game has much more to offer, mixing exploration like an old zelda and having tons of upgrades to discover over the game. The game is fun, the feeling of explosion and power of using bombs is well done. Always a fresh map to explore each run. On the down side, I find the game a bit too hard, but i'm confident that Mode4…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the concept...it's Binding of Isaac meets Bomberman. But I really hate the execution. The pacing is so slow and boring because you spend so much time chewing your way through the terrain of every room bit by tedious bit with bombs. And changing directions is pure, absolute frustration. The controls are so awful and sluggish...your character constantly gets hung up on the indestructible parts of the terrain. I guarantee you will blow yourself up trying to get out of the way of your own…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bomberman-like game that takes place in the wild west. I was surprised how deep this game can go with all the features it has. On the other hand, no matter how fun the game is at first, it gets really repetitive after a while and unless you're that type of person who likes to torture him/herself by getting 100% completion, there isn't much of anything else in store for you once you defeat all the bosses. It's also good each time the maps are procedurally generated thus making the game a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Roguelike Bomberman-Inspired Action Game https://youtu.be/29kqok1wlzQ + The gameplay / combat is very similar to bomberman. You go around placing bombs to kill enemies while hiding behind rocks and such to avoid getting hurt in the blast. Fans of classic bomberman should enjoy Bombslinger. + The single player campaign is very similar to games like The Binding of Isaac. You go from room to room fighting enemies while collecting upgrades, abilities, and money (used in the shop). At the end of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I used to play bomberman a lot when i was young this game makes it all come back, its not bomberman, but you can understand why i compare it this game have more, it is a complete adventure with many powerups and skills u can obtain https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58yYBbtCaFg
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bombslinger isn't fun, it's tedious and boring. There are multiple obstacles in your path that you have to blow up in order to go anywhere. If you don't move fast enough, you lose a heart. The controls are a bit clunky, not as responsive as they should be, and you move like a slug. If you're looking for a Bomberman like game, look elsewhere or go play the original, it's so much better than this! NOT recommended!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game isnt really bad. If you want a cheap version of bomberman then this game could be okay for you. Just everything feels kinda simple and not smooth enough in controls. First Multiplayer: Simple Bomberman-version on a few too simple maps. Nothing that special here to mention. Nice that you can play with bots if you want. Adventure-mode: Was hoping this would be cooler. Its some kind of rogue-like-dungeon. You try to find the end boss in an area so you level lil bit up, get some…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bombslinger is a compact but surprisingly demanding action roguelike that takes the familiar concept of strategic bomb placement and gives it a distinctive Wild West personality. Developed by Mode4 and published by Plug In Digital, it mixes arcade-style explosive combat with procedural stages, permanent death, character progression, and a straightforward revenge story. The basic mechanics are easy to understand within minutes, yet surviving consistently requires considerably more patience and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I hope, the final version will be optimized. At the moment I'm more or less neutral. The game is indeed pretty fun (just the playing). There are nice power ups - not much different from Bomberman - and many different enemies. Two things annoy me at the moment: 1) The controls are far from being precise. But I can live with that. It makes it a little bit frustrating, when you have a Molotov Cocktail and not a regular bomb. And you are not always going sideways like you should. 2) The very…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty sure this is the best Bomberman like game ever. I prefer it over actual bomberman games, especially the newer stuff on steam. Has the spirit of the old stuff but is doing lots of great stuff of it's own. Would recommend to anyone who loves this brand of gameplay.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It’s bomberman in a cowboy hat. If you were expecting anything different, I don’t know why. There are a few variations from the traditional bomberman, like a level-up system that gives greater control of progression than traditional power-up and a rouge-lite system of perks to choose from before each run, but nothing that really changes this game from being bomberman in a cowboy hat, except that it's also just a little bit worse. The controls are a bit sloppy, making it easy to get caught on…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Huge game for a low price. Bombslinger is very surpising, at the first time you could think that it is only a Bomberman-like but it is much more. The sensation of the explosion is brutal, the soundtrack is wonderfull, the ennemy are funny and the boss are difficult. Just what I needed for a long time. Thank you
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Something about the movement feels off, which makes the incredible slowness even worse
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Probably the closest to a legitimate Bomberman experience you'll get to on PC, not just Steam, outside of emulation, and far more party-ready. The multiplayer is solid, and you can play online via Parsec (which I recommend if you've got a good connection for just about any local-multiplayer game). The single-player is fun and has all the highs and lows of any other rogue-like game. Other than a few very rare bugs that can occur (especially frustrating toward the end of a very powerful run),…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hell yeah, that's what I'm talking about! Devoted devs working on the game continously listening to people and updating the game! The game itself is simple, bomberman with a new wild west twist, and it can't be more fun than this, it looks amazing and it's smooth and fast, with big maps and a ton of enjoyment!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played it with 3 friends together... We got bored really fast and we stopped playing really fast. I don't know whether I have to play single player mode at first to unlock additional skills, but since I don't want to play this game alone, I probably won't find out.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bombslinger is the kinda Bomber Man like concept I've been hoping for for years! I've enjoyed more than a few Bomber Man games but the same ol grid arena battles for the single player mode always felt lacking. Bombslinger has totally figured that scenario out! It plays more like the original Zelda, you can walk around a map in any direction, with seemingly random area designs for each new room you enter. Getting to use the Bomber Man four-way explosion mechanic in a kind of action RPG style…

Here is my first look gameplay (sorry mic went weird on this recording) READ MORE full text review! https://youtu.be/rJH2Gj5X3lc But luck be have it I love pixel AND Bomberman style games... I am also a danger more to myself then others when bombs are left in my hands... This game was a western twist to the Bomberman style which went actually well with its…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bugged beyond belief - after 3 times freezing late in the run, I decided Bombslinger is not worth my time or nerves anymore. Cool Bomberman clone though, just severely under-polished...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ruined by a piss-poor checkpoint system (you die, you start all over again from the first map of the first level). This happens even if you kill the first boss and get to the next set of maps.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another one of those good concept, bad execution games. I enjoyed the setting, design and sound design. Even the idea to have a level system and items in this type of game is pretty unique. The enemies are all way better equipped than the player though, you have to get lucky with your level up powers or you have to somehow get close to enemies with guns that will blow your bombs up the moment you drop them next to them and even getting them to stand still is not great. You can also get some…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bombs ! Bombs ! So many bombs ! Blow mind :D Such a good game. I was a huge fan of Bomberman when i was child :D Good memories with Bombslinger.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is really fun, but difficult and will take time to master. Obviously it takes the concept of bomberman, but the way they adapted it is brilliant. You won't get easily tired of it and new enemies and game mechanics introduce themselves as you continue in the game. The enemies might seem daunting in the beginning, but once you learn how they act, you'll be able to take them out. I've played this game from the beta and so many improvements are done already and the devs really listen…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fell asleep cowboy, woke up fireworks. Poodle lit fuse, I lit moustache. Blew barn, got loot. Wife walked in, I rode couch. Finished sunset, now real stuff explodes when I blink.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Roguelike Bomberman is tons of fun. I'm getting way more out of this than I thought I would. Definitely a buy for full price and on a sale it is a no brainer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wish there were more games like Bombslinger because in my opinion the market for Bomberman-likes is still too small. In Bombslinger you play as a former boss of an outlaw gang in the wild west. The titular Bombslinger decided to leave his gang to live with his wife on a small ranch but because he took the money from their biggest heist with him, they kill his wife and burn down the ranch. Now hellbent on revenge you hunt them one by one down. The gameplay mixes the typical Bomberman formular…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's basically Bomberman with roguelike elements. I'm a big fan of the roguelike genre and played the hell out of Bomberman in my childhood, so I should be liking this game. But I don't. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is it SLOW. You begin with a bomb with an explosion radius of a single square and have to carefully place the bombs and pray for the enemy to not randomly move away from the bomb and avoid dying out of sheer luck... which happens half the time. You also have to manually clear dozens of obstacles in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quick video review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jY4ovwD3nU My only complaint with this game is the movement. It feels like sometimes I move more or less than what I expected when I release the d-pad. Also, the game doesn't detect diagonal movements as any input and so if you don't realize you're pressing a on the diagonal, you won't move. However, it's very easy to get over those annoyances to find a really fun game. Learning enemy patterns, reactions, and abilities feels a bit like…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros: +Mix of Bomberman and Rougelike elements makes for amazing gameplay and replayability +Decent challenge with a sense of progression +Fun boss battles +Great character design and animations +Decent soundtrack Cons: -Poor AI and level design for Battle Mode -Pathing issues -Technical issues with controller support leads to less enjoyment and makes Battle Mode useless Score: 8.5/10 Overall, a really fun game that although disappoints technically in some areas, still a VERY fun…

Then check out this Cheapness affordable gaming review of Bombslinger [Episode 74] https://youtu.be/k8ijvMlA8o8 Quick text review: This roguelike, western take on the Bomberman formula developed by Mode4 and published by plug in digital is perhaps the go to option for Bomberman action. This cheap gaming review shows how: -The game has nice visuals reminiscent of early attempts at 3D complete with edgy sprites overlain -…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At its heart, this is a Bomberman-style game combining gritty Western storytelling and modern roguelike gameplay. Our protagonist Bombslinger is an ex-bandit who left his evil gang to get married. The problem is he took a lot of the gang's cash when he split and presumably used that to build the house that gets burned at the start. With nothing left, he sets out for revenge on all his old pals and meets a few oddities along the way. Having long ago played Gameboy Bomberman quite a lot, the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun little timewaster until I hit first boss, then he burns me down. I don't have the time to memorize crazy patterns or behaviors in a casual game. Give it a try if calls to you, its in a bundle, or discounted to pennies maybe?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I playing this I felt like I was tired of roguelike games, but this bomberman roguelike was so much fun? As you play you'll unlock trinkets to make the next run easier and it's fun to try to get them all.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If this review could be meh it would be. Controls and very begging of the game are jank, up until you leave the first room where the stages better match the game'c controls. The gameplay is bomberman esc with simple movement and combat, although there is an interesting item, shop and mana system. The items do seem a little lacking with not many creative ideas there, mostly focusing on the core bomb gameplay. If you are a fan of the bomberman series you might like it more then I did. 3/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a great hidden gem. I only find out about it now 5 years after it's release. A great mix of Bomberman/The Binding of Isaac. Working perfectly on a Steam deck. If you do have this on your Steam deck i recommend getting it !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tedious, grindy gameplay. It lacks the competition against NPCs that made Bomberman games work.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bombslinger offers Bomberman-style gameplay with a rogue-like dungeon crawl overlay. The game is pretty smooth but some aspects of the combat feel a bit stiff. Overall a fun little game with some good depth/replayability and permanent unlocks - definitely worth picking up on sale. I got this game for $1.20 (on sale) and am very satisfied with my purchase.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's bomberman reskinned with an Old West theme. 4 player local coop if you have enough controllers. Entertains the hell out of 8-year-olds, I can promise you that.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An enjoyable game in the general style of Bomberman. While I'm not a huge fan of procedurally generated levels, it's relatively well executed here (though there are some bad maps). While gameplay is similar to the Bomberman series, it has made it differentr enough to have its own take on the genre. The enemy types and general aesthetic make sure that it isn't a clone. Linking starting upgrades to achievements was an interesting idea but one I like.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like this game. It's neato~ If you're into Bomberman, you'll like it too! ...The last boss is pretty bull-poop though...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Video Review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bC7Acnydi5c&t=67s Bombslinger is a bomberman Esk Rogue-like single player action adventure game. Drop bombs to destroy terrain and enemies. Maps are randomly generated on each run through. Upgrades, level ups, items and more can all be found. Of course as well as Multiple enemies and bosses you must fight your way through. As I go through this review, keep in mind that I did receive this game free from the developer but I will do my best to write…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super fun and challenging game for anyone who likes Bomberman.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I realy liked this game. its realy hard just like i like my games. .And its got a realy good procedural charachter level system. Every time you start the game over you live a diffrent adventure. Sometimes your lucky sometimes your not. There are also maney intresting abilities that mix realy well with the bomber man mechanics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like bomberman, but it doesn't need to be rogue-like. Even though I clicked the thumbs-up, I can't recommend purchasing an early-access game. For a more comprehensive overview of the game, check out my review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1812-L9tKhE&list=PLL85hnAQWvK_ngPUzs74SUCYFtIiONnH3&index=7
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I got this game, I didn't know what to expect. What I got was a rouge like. (A rouge like is a type of game to were if you die, you have to start ALL over again, and the levels, items, shops, and enemeys are all randomly generated every time you restart.) This was fun for a good 30 minutes before I got tired of it. But that's only because I get tired of rouge likes really quickly. The game is an amazing game, it's got the old bomber man mechanic, killing enemys with differant types of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →oh this is the good old bomberman but in a different wrapper. hehe old Bomberman is still alive and can surprise
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought it for a dollar. That's about what it's worth. It's cute; it's Bomberman with a different skin and simple story attached, featuring the brutally specific controls of the original, while looking like it would be more accomodating. That broke it for me- I just simply don't like playing the character. If you're a fan of the BM series, this will probably be a day of fun. For me, 20 odd minutes. I didn't dislike it, but those controls are STIFF to a fault, and lead to what I felt was unfair…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Es un buen clon de Bomberman.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I slogged on with this for almost 3 hours, but it never felt very fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great fun to play!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →bomberman-esque game its ok
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i should have listened from the reviews, the controls are awful you press the dpad once it moves 1.5 or 0.5 square quite often and that makes you vulnerable which makes the game so much harder you'll be stuck or cornered by the enemies. Sometimes pressing A doesn't register at all.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good idea, but the controls are clunky, and it's frustrating in adventure mode. Also, they easily could have added more settings in multiplayer mode. If these two things were patched, I would have recommended the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun roguelike that pulls on the gameplay that made Bomberman great. Planning and execution are key in this game, and I had a lot of fun working up to the finale. The cowboy/desperado theming really makes this game stick out, and it was well worth what I paid for it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Video: https://youtu.be/211YcbkXRDk Really fun idea, especially an interesting way to play Bomberman single-player. I was definitely able to find enjoyment, although I'm not sure how much it's one you'd replay after beating the boss since there's only so much variety in a build, and achievements seem more annoying/tedious than fun. The start of every run, in the beginning, is more rough than fun, with your bomb explosion being 1x1. This works fine in Bomberman when it's blocks that drop…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its fun, but it the movement is a bit too sluggish. Its essentially bomber with a story its fine if you can overlook the movement
