If you know me at all, you know I LOVE solitaire. I’ve been playing it ever since I was a wee lass, but golf solitaire has recently become my favorite version of the game. Imagine my delight when yet another title released featuring the enjoyable gameplay I’ve come to love. Forgotten Tales: Day of the Dead had SO much promise: beautiful artwork, a fantastic theme, and interesting new power-ups and board goals I hadn’t seen done in other games — and yet against all odds it failed. As a lover…

Fun game - really enjoying it thus far. Smooth bug-free gameplay, vibrant colors and a nice soundtrack. The progression in game complexity is clear and gradual - very relaxing, befitting a casual game such as this. The only adjustment I had to make was with the cursor. The larger default game cursor was a bit floaty for me, so I switched to a regular cursor in the options section. It was all very intuitive and easy to take care of. Another Greenlight success story for these devs - great job and…

Very fun Solitaire game that reminds me of Faerie Solitaire. Each round you play has a set of challenges that must be met to advance to the next round. Most of these challanges are things like get a 6 card combo without using any Clubs or get a 8 card combo without using face cards. To add to the challange some of the cards will have effects on them that need to be resoulved before you can play them, like find the key to open the locked card or elemanate all the water cards before you can…

Really well made solitaire game that has a unique theme. The presentation is soild, but the Día de Muertos theme is really interesting and well done. Although the music is interesting it gets very repetitive after a while. The gameplay is standard solitaire with quite a few specials on the 'board' and at your own disposal. This makes the game more interesting even if the last 10 of 100 levels overdo it and the number of specials that you have to overcome and use gets slightly annoying.…

Extremely disappointed with this one. Among many many wrong things with this particular title, there's one unforgivable mistake: there's a pattern in the cards dealt. Yeah; no random factor. If the card you need does not come in your current play, it will, WITH ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY, in the next one. That's it! Forgotten Tales: Day of the Dead is a card game where difficulty is almost non-existent, and even like this, it becomes annoying.

Forgotten Tales: Day of the Dead is a fun, relaxing solitaire game. There are power-ups, 100 levels and 100% achievements is easliy obtainable. If you enjoy solitaire games, I highly recommend this title.

Huh. My review of this game appears to have disappeared. So I am leaving a new one. Yes, I recommend this game. If you enjoy solitaire card games, this one has a rather unique theme and story. Día de los Muertos, or Day Of The Dead- a day where ancestors and those who have passed on are remembered and celebrated. The story and tasks you must complete are different than in most other solitare games. Graphics are cute, and clean- colorful and funny. Not many settings to adjust, but you can turn…

Enjoyable Fairway Solitaire clone. Close in spirit to Zombie Solitaire (humour, design...), but lacking badly in execution at times-- tutorial is missing stuff like how to calculate points and skulls, translation is pretty bad at points, the Day of the Dead theme is borderline racist (which is odd coming from a game credited to Spanish-speaking people..?!), there are many small bugs here and there (including a reproduceable one where you don't get any sound effects when you fail a stage and…

*EDIT for fairness* I'd give this a thumbs sideways after completing it. Finished it for achievements, around lvl 40 it kind of picks up, so if you can treat it as a tutorial till you reach that point it kind of gets better. Last 15 lvls can be a little grindy, which I didn't mind as it gave me a reason to use the nice power-ups and think ahead. Also I was wrong in my original review...or playing with my volume down, I really enjoyed the soundtrack, the cards I still don't really like but the…

Forgotten Tales Day of the Dead is a solitaire game golf type: click higher or lower cards until you empty out the field. Surprisingly there’s a story and a theme: Mexican lore of the undead / Los Muertos! Your wife was kidnapped by a mean spirit and you will go through the land of the dead to rescue her. You will gather items and meet colorful characters. The tutorial is well done, there are a lot of achievements to do and levels to complete, plus the levels have several goals to meet. The…

Forgotten Tales: Day of the Dead. Forgotten? Someone remembered. Enough to tell the tale in this game anyway. What we have here is the higher/lower type of solitaire you'll find in several other games such as Regency Solitaire, Chef Solitaire, Faerie Solitaire, Legends of Solitaire, Goat Solitaire, and FarCry 4. As always, I want to know one thing. What does this particular solitaire game do to distinguish itself? From the other solitaire game I mean. Not like distinguish itself from…

Yeah, I hate to pile on with another negative review, especially when this is almost recommendable. But here's the rundown: The good: Charming design overall. A wide variety of special cards available for purchase using in-game currency. The story is simple but cute. Pleasant card-matching mechanic for the first third of 22 hours of total gameplay. The meh: The non-random nature of the game wasn't a deal breaker for me, but when I ended up getting crappy draws at particularly inopportune…

The story, or almost lack thereof -- you meet one of the dead, he needs an item, you get that item a few hands later, repeat x3, repeat x10 -- is totally in no way tied to mechanics, unlike in many other solitaire quest type games. Gathering the (huge bunch of) potion ingredients is, too. This is just a filler you get at the end of some of the hands which would have otherwise had nothing at all, because each level has 10 hands, and only 3 "lack-of-the-story" items. You really would have a hard…

From my review on Gravis Ludus- "There are a TON of Solitaire games like this on Android and iTunes, with many popping up on various online stores for computers. That means it is going to take something more than just pretty graphics to stand out against the competition. Forgotten Tales Day of the Dead has the ingredients it needs to stand out, all it needs is for fans to look in its general direction." Fun game, Green Sauce Games, I actually learned a bit about Day of the Dead and was…

Fogotten Tales: Day of the Dead ---------------------------------------------------------------- Fogotten Tales: Day of the Dead Is a nice Solitaire Game. I have played 3 others on steam, 1 not so good, one pretty good, and one very good, I would rank this one up there with the one that is very good. I love the whole day of the dead theme, it works very well. One of the biggest pluses this has over other solitaire games is Achievements and Trading Cards, this may seem like something small, but…

Ok, look, I can't recommend this game being a Solitaire game. this is because it just has NOTHING to do with playing solitaire, apart from featuring ye olde standard card set. Graphics are okaish but nothing special with next to nothing in regards of special effects. Sound effects and music are equally forgettable but still ok for a casual game like this. So why do I not recommend this game, you may ask? Because this game is not casual it's silly. You always get the right card to continue…

It took me a bit of playing to figure out was this game was really all about. It's a non-random solitaire games with several goals for each level, and a story that's told by progressing through Chapters (a Chapter is just a group of 10 levels). The game starts off with a layout. You need to clear three different layouts to finish a level. You can purchase power-ups at any time to accomplish this. The power-ups quickly unlock so that you can purchase them, so they are not all available for…

https://youtu.be/w_Q5gS1kH94 The classic solitaire formula is given a 'day of the dead' theme but the mechanics fail to sync up with the narrative resulting in an unfortunate dissonance for players.

It's an alright game in it's genre. However, there are way too many powerups that let you breeze through the entire game very easily. Also, every 2nd card in the stack will be a playable card for your layout, so it kind of defeats the mystery. Still had a lot of fun with this one.

It's solitaire. I'll give it that. But there are so many better ones out there. This one feels like an early version for the computer, but upon review it came out in 2016. It controls sluggishly and the UI could be designed far better. For example, there are bomb cards where they'll explore the surrounding card. There is a good 1-2 second pause before the cards underneath flip over. There are firework style cards which will clear out the row. I have found multiple levels where they're pointing…

Super cute game with an endearing story line. The art work is great, They do several fun things during game play to make it fun. It's a smooth, well thought game and it's uniqueness (artwork, story line) make it distinctive from others and worth playing. I really enjoy it.

Forgotten Tales: Day of the Dead is a relaxing solitaire adventure developed and published by Green Sauce Games that blends traditional card gameplay with a colorful story inspired by the spirit of the Day of the Dead celebration. Instead of presenting a simple collection of solitaire boards, the game builds a lighthearted fantasy adventure around Manuel, who embarks on a dangerous journey through the realm of the dead after the woman he loves, Maria, is taken away by a sinister force. This…

TLDR: Fun solitaire game, I'm glad I bought it, one oddity to note - the game is rigged in your favour, the next card on the deck being turned over has a high chance of being one you need! The gameplay: 100 sets of 3 games each, each set has a goal like achieve a certain score, avoid diamonds for the next 5 cards etc. I'm half way through the game right now and haven't needed to use the boosts much yet, the one most powerful of which is to unlock a second deck so that 2 cards at a time are…

It's just another pretty basic solitaire game ripoff. But it's probably one of the worst ones out there. You can purchase better solitaire games on steam. This one is overall pretty buggy and not enjoyable. I just feel extremely disappointed after playing this. And I just have to give this game a negative review.

It's a nice and casual game. Don't expect to be challenged to the limit, because it is not that difficult (untill now?) It's like the card game "patience", with some extras. Found some minor bug where the achievements don't show up in real-time. I had to restart the game to be able to see my achievements. Enjoying it thus far.

I feel like this game went fine until the last 15 or so levels. I started getting a lot of glitches where my extra cards power up just didnt give me anything, i had -2 jokers somehow, and keys/hammers took forever to actually use because its so picky. I do not recommend.
