50 of 50 · most liked firstI absolutely loved Armored Fist 2. For Nova Logic's DOS game series, that VoxelSpace engine of theirs was truly ahead of its time and they got a lot of great mileage out of it. So much so that they even came up with a Win32 version of it and ported Comanche 3 over to it as Comanche Gold. Armored Fist 2 for DOS is now ported over as Armored Fist 3 for Windows. So basically, you have AF2 for Windows. The game plays well enough, but I do have one problem with it - sound. Nova Logic has always had…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yes, its dated. Yes, some report glitches... but its pretty fun. Kind of reminds of a sim/rts/fps cross the way it plays a little. I think the game captures the team strategy thing (leading your group of tanks to victory etc - kinda like playing madden football but tossing a bomb is a bit more dramtic :) ) Get it because your a tank buff and old graphics don't automatically equate to "no good" - sometimes old games with old graphics completely hold their ground when newer competing products…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A old game that is kind of a challenge right when you start the game. It is hard to kill other tanks if your not used to this game. It's graphics very old and blocky. The gameplay is not really great but can keep you entertained for a little bit. I wouldn't recommend this game to any army buff that wants good tank fighting. Make sure if you do decide to get this game make sure its packed with other games with it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →BEST TANKING GAME EVER MADE.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game, but i returned it, because this game doesn't have a full screen and mouse support.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm probably the only person who likes this game, and I don't know why I like it. The graphics are weird, the controls are weird and it's very old. I just like the realistic feeling atmosphere to it. It's very Novalogic.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As much of a gem that this was back when it was released, sadly it doesnt play very well on modern systems. Max resolution is extremely low, and controls (joystick and keyboard) are extremely clunky.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played 2.3 hrs so far on Steam, but on Novaworld and back in 1999 I played this game for like 200 hrs and I remember everything to this day. First of all, it works perfect on Windows 11, which impressive I might add. This is like a mix between realism/arcade. It is easy to get used to also. I usually play it arcade-ish (3rd person view), that is until the s.... hits the fan and you lose your sensor suite, then you have to be fast to select your gunner and manually kill that tank or IFV.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ill start with that I love this game; I loved it when it was first released and I still do. But as others have said it has not aged well, though it’s hard to compare since there are no modern tank Sims. Many of the missions are broken due to poor level design (which I don’t remember being a problem in AF2). Also using the info available at the time (Seemingly excluding gulf war and desert storm seemingly??) the realism is light. You may be riding in the one of the most advance tanks in modern…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I never played Armored Fist 3 or its prequels before I got it with the Steam package "Novalogic Classics". Even though it is called an "action-oriented simulation", I felt it was more of an action game disguised as a simulation. I guess that Novalogic fans liked this game when it came out, however it has sadly not aged well. It does have many missions available but some of them seem to be broken... It also have other problems, such as the autotargeting system that locks on to the least…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tried to like this game. I really did. And it pains me to write this review. I spent countless hours on Armored Fist 2 when I was just 9 years old as well as on Comanche 3 and F-22 Raptor. And my parents tried to get a copy of AF3 for me to no avail. But maybe it was for the best. First of all, the graphics. And before you say, "Duh it's an old game", this came out in 1999. And it uses the Voxel engine. Voxel. In 1999. At that point, any 3D game that didn't offer 3D acceleration was setting…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm a huge fan of Novalogic games and the Delta Force series, but Armored Fist 3 is a terribly outdated game with very poor controls (keyboard only). The target-assist auto-aim feature is supposed to make things easier since the controls are pretty bad, but it always locks onto a building or random boxes before the real enemy threat! As you're cycling the targets it's too late and the enemy one-shots your tank and the mission is over. There are also some bugs in the game, I encountered a bug…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Garbage, buggy, this is the worst simulation game of all Novalogic series (even worse than DFX and DFX2). Let me explain why: 1. Sometimes I have destroyed all enemy targets but still couldn't complete the mission. You can't see any mission goal in the game. 2. The game is not friendly to manually control. And the auto-aiming function is a completely garbage. For example: There has a T-72 in front of me. But auto-aiming system couldn't find it! Then I was blew up by the enemy... 3. Can you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my first games. Was super impressive for the time. The audio is incredible. Sometimes the mission bug and don't progress and you have to restart them, but that is something I really don't mind. Still super cool, something that even War Thunder cannot replicate. The only modern thing close to this is "Gunner, HEAT, PC!"
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is oldie but a goldie. It now runs in Linux with no issues. I just have to re-familirize myself with the keys and commands. I will get more milage out of this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Español and English One of the few tank games in steam, it has a lot of missions (52), its fun and easy to play, however you will need a little of practice, because even if there is auto aim, you will need to aim manually sometimes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks like it was a fantastic game, back in its day, two decades ago. I wish they'd give us an AF4, built with today's graphics technology, to the standards of, say, Armored Warfare, because AF3 had some great features that AW lacks. Unfortunately, I just cannot recommend this game any more because the graphics are now so ancient that it feels almost unplayable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like: Standard NovaLogic action. Dislike: Dated graphics. Boring. It really feels as if you're driving a tank. Slowly. Very slowly. It is somehow much worse than other NovaLogic games where the controls feel fluid. There are plenty of situations in which you won't win unless you replay a mission. Not fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very good Tank simulator. Takes advantage of voxels in a good way.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For me its the best tank simulator ever made. Definitely needs a sequel just with newer graphics, doesnt need anything else.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It had its own glory in the past but today is barely playable. If you are interest in old military games, stick with novalogic's great jet fighter games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →armored fist more like fist my armored butthole
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Old classic NovaLogic giving you the opportunity to drive a tank. What's not to love?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Armored Fist 3 is a classic military tank simulator that delivers an engaging combination of armored combat, tactical planning, and battlefield operations. Developed by NovaLogic and originally published by NovaLogic, with THQ Nordic handling its later digital distribution, the game places players in command of the powerful M1A2 Abrams main battle tank. Released in 1999, it reflects an era when military simulations emphasized large battlefields, realistic vehicle concepts, and accessible combat…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was my first tank game ever. It is still fun, but there is no in-game control explanation, so you need this: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2825400157
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Prime late-90s tank jank. I love it. It may be difficult for some people to get running on modern systems, but there are safe fixes to download. Gameplay is what you expect, with lots of missions with a decent variety of objectives and enemies to fight. I recommend waiting for a sale before you buy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Armored Fist 3 fast game with modern day graphics with easy controls that moves from location A to B to C and so on, good game. Personal Suggested Purchase Price: $0.49 Or Less During Sale
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved this game as a kid. First real tank game I got into that I actually enjoyed. It's still entertaining today and I'll play it from time to time even though it's a bit dated. It's by no means World of Tanks, which is my favorite tank game now. It's meant to be a realistic take on tank combat in the late 90's using the might beast that is the Abrams. Good stuff.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DO NOT BUY. It is a waste of money
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game completely sucks.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I dont know why this game has a tiger tank on my Steam banner. This may also be the only game ever that actually uses the windows extended keyboard "pause" key to actually pause. I played Armored Fist 2 when I was a kid. Never had the third game so consider this "nostalgia that never was" for me. The fake camos for everything just kinda rock. This is an old game that doesn't support modern resolutions and the highest it can go is 640x480 and as far as I know there aren't any accessible…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →grew up on this game, now i play war thunder but this will always be the start for me. Graphics are old but this is a good one
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Somebody please fix the thumbnail that shows up in the game library.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the game for the first few campaigns but then it gets extremely boring and repetitive. Not just that the level design in the latter half is also poor. Couple that with lack of support for modern resolutions its an easy no.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Multiple gameplay errors. Poor resolution. Incomplete command and control.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love Armored Fist 2, but the way it was "programmed" makes it lag even on current PCs. Armored Fist 3 is fixed in that regard and it's the same game with better graphics and some realism tweaks. The game allows for a spectrum of simulation difficulty settings and makes it easy to enjoy tank action for those who do not want to bother themselves with simulation details.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the few (and good) tank simulations available here. Unfortunately max resolution is 640x480
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In Armored Fist 3 you get to play with an Abrams tank. You can use the driver, gunner or commander positions. The tank does have interiors but you can't look around in it or anything tho you can press some buttons so for example in the gunner position you can press a button named "SABOT" for example which will load a SABOT round. You can press a switch called "GUN or COAX" (or something along those lines) which basically switches between your main gun or your coaxial machine gun. The tank…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a sim-cade, old, and a bit clunky, but there's still fun to be had. The good: If you were a fan of old Delta Force games you'll get similar vibes here, depending on your playstyle: There's an endless voxel terrain as far as you can see, you could search for enemies a size of a pixel, and snipe them across the map. Or peek them from behind a hill, roll out of cover and shoot their tanks before they could notice you. You don't really want to get up close and personal to another tank, as…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice tank sim game, easy or realistic modes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't mind me, Just reliving my childhood. I still have the original user manual for it :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Novalogic had some skilled people working on these games and managed to get a very real to life feel. Really good game and way ahead of it's time. Game is fully functional and fun to play even 2021.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Why are there six pedals if there are only four directions?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All I'm gonna say is that the controls have not aged well at all. It's like they just closed their eyes and smashed their face on the keyboard and that was the layout. Still a lot of fun though, would recommend only for nostalgia or if you like to get old games. Runs fine on Win10, haven't had any issues yet.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun game if you pick it up on sale for like 2 bucks fun gameplay great graphics and overall just a fun game for 2 bucks :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What do we have here? A maximum resolution of 640x480, weird controls (usually you would expect to control the hull with WASD and the turret+gun via mouse) but here you move both with keyboard and switch ammo types inside the tank via mouse. I think gameplay wise it still works somewhat good though and is fun, but the graphics make it really hard to recommend. I'll give it a positive review because I enjoyed it, but I would only recommend it to people that still enjoy very old simulations and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just want more control of it on my joy fighter stick.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the few tanks sim series I've really enjoyed; up there with the other classic Novalogic greats.
