If you are looking to shoot down 20 to 30 enemies in one mission then this is not for you, try Ace Combat or HAWX. If you are looking for something in between those two ends of the spectrum then this is for you. There is a learning curve to the game, but it would not take more than a few training missions for most to jump into the campign. There are a few bugs to the game,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very immersive, it blends simulation and arcade in a tasty mix, making it one of the best flying combat sims out there, a game that seems just as fresh as it was when I first played it as a demo in 1998. Heat seeking Sidewinders, Radar-seeking Amraams, bombs, and other air to ground rockets, the game offers you a large arsenal to complete a variety of missions that have a gradual incline in difficulty. The AI makes the game pretty challenging, often forcing you to make tactical decisions rather…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Relative to MIG-29 Fulcrum and F-22 Lightning 3, the F-16 Multirole Fighter has more kinds of weapons and tactics. Player can drop JDAM bombs to GPS targets, use GBU bombs to destroy radar and other ground targets, fire Maverick missiles on mobile vehicles. One of the most interesting thing is you can even control the LANTIRN system manually. Targeting any location on the ground, then drop a GBU bomb will hit that place precisely.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is by far the best F-16 simulator for PCs. Graphics are quite old given that it came out in 1998 but aesthetics aside, the controls, navigation, and responsiveness of the aircraft are unmatched! Only challenge is that in campaign mode, you have a limited inventory of long-range missiles which forces you to short shorter-ranger Sidewinders.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am loving this so far.. It is not a hardcore simulation, but it is not a brainless arcade game either. It is in that perfect midpoint. I use VoiceAttack with it so I don't need to look at the keyboard.. Just me and my big joystick, the way it was meant to be. The graphics are old, but not TOO old. The game wants a VooDoo card, but check the Guides for how you can easily download and install nGlide which lets your modern GPU play the game in high resolution accelorated 3D with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →F-16 MULTIROLE FIGHTER Usually, I can get past dated graphics, but F-16 Multirole Fighter truly puts me off. Not only the visuals didn't aged well, the controls aren't intuitive and even properly explained. No tutorial / training mode doesn't help either! The game does support the XBOX 360 gamepad to a point but you would be better of playing this game with Keyboard though. The gameplay is slow and bland/boring. The audio (sound/music) aren't that great either. Also, don't seek out this game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Me and my father were a big fan of this game. I guess it was the demo version which we found in a CD provided by one of the old PC Magazines. The first aircraft themed game of my childhood. We were running it on a Celeron 433 PC. After some time I found the CD of the full version by chance. One day I sadly learnt that my uncle sold that CD to a random customer coming our store. To be honest, I was just a little bit angry to him but never showed my disappointment of course. Now I'm 38. That CD…

It does seem a shame that games like this are not being made anymore. The worst example is as a Star Wars fan I loved the X-Wing series, XWA was made over a decade ago now and no signs of another fighter sim to come. Seems the same with novalogic and jet fighter games too :(
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Brings back memories. IMHO still very much playable, even though I do have a strong bias towards this game. As mentioned previously, using LANTIRN for GBU bomb deliveries is quite fun to mess around with. Not for people who cant stand glitches. Not for people who want a simple arcade. You will have to use complicated controls (by modern standards).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A true blast from the past. The sweet spot between simulation and arcade - a simcade. The scale is perfect: it take a few seconds to reach cruising altitude, a few seconds to reach your area of operations, and a few more seconds for your enemy encounter. I dealy miss this genre as the only modern simcade i know is a car game, Forza Horizon... It's working well on modern machines but please note that you will need 3dfx to properly enjoy the game you remember. There are a few guides on Stem on…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Find another flightsim. Ancient, arcade-y, a giant pixel-fest, and probably not worth it at $5 let alone $25. At least, unlike F-22, this doesn't just crash when you enter the settings page. Perhaps because this doesn't support 3D accel at all...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You can't possibly know how much fun this game got me. I discovered it in 2024, yet spent lot of time with it. If you want to play MIG29 game too, you should probably check MIG29 first. It is easier (due to MIG manouverability), simpler and there is less variety of weapons. Playing it in opposite order was bad idea, but noone told me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprisingly enough I can play this with an Xbox360 Controller, the flight mechanics are also pretty good. The graphics aren't that great and the max. resolution is 1024x768. The gameplay is also pretty hard, the game doesn't hold you by the hand and you have to read through the briefing before going on a mission. If that sounds good to you, this might be a game for you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It needs a Manual
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You just can't beat the classics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →On the surface, this product provides an arcade-ey kind of flight simulator. Unfortunately, it only goes skin deep. The product is very buggy: -Any aircraft (except for yourself?) can get randomly stuck in terrain. Good luck destroying an enemy aircraft that, according to radar, is 16 km away, yet got stuck in the earth. Ordering my wingman to destroy it resulted in said wingman pointing his aircraft straight at the sky. -Aircraft sometimes ripple fire (4-6!) missiles for no reason.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An old but gold combat flight sim, definitely showing its age now but still fun to use. Its more of an arcade sim than a serious simulation and needs a little practice to become familiar with but is rewarding once you get into the swing of it. I`ve had this as a standalone for a while now so was glad to be able to add it to my steam collection.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it'd be a nice game if it gave you ANY tutorial on how to fly the thing considering theres a thousand controls

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the game, but wondering when your going to get Jane's F/A-18, and or NovaLogic's Comanche Gold. Thanks
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For a classic game, this is pretty good. It's kinda hard to learn all the eletronics of the aircraft, but this game is really good.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this for $2.50 on steam sale, it's a fun simcade time-killer. I use keyboard only, it's definitely a worthwhile laptop game.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →F-16 Multirole Fighter cons: lack of directions. overly complex ridiculous confusing controls. lack of radar nav points of where to go. sucks.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Essentially unplayable without a joystick and a keyboard controls cheatsheet. Never made it off the ground There's about 800 controls to know, and you can't fly without a joystick. What's the point?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Plays the same way as F-22 Lightning 3 so [url=http://steamcommunity.com/id/mobiuscenturion/recommended/32730/]everything I said in that review also applies here. The only problem is that there is no in-game music to set the tone.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What can you say about USA F-16 rules.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →F-16 Multirole Fighter is a classic combat flight simulator that captures an interesting period when military aviation games were becoming sophisticated enough to offer believable aircraft systems without demanding the enormous learning commitment associated with the most hardcore simulators. Originally released in 1998, it was developed by NovaLogic and is published on Steam by NovaLogic and THQ Nordic. Its technology has naturally aged considerably, but the underlying concept remains…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To those that say it's a terrible game look at the date it was released. October 1998. Might have to turn my graphics down though. Might be better. Who knows. For an almost 30 year old game it's still playable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I first played this game on release, it was revolutionary along with MIG29 from Novalogic. It was the first game I played online, mainly against a friend and players from USA. Internet was terrible on Dialup but still worth playing. At the time, late 90s there was nothing like this in flight sims it was ahead of it's time for Graphics, Physics and Game play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A lot of fun and scratches flight combat game itch without being too unfriendly to pick up and play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →May take a little tweaking to get stable on modern systems. Download dgVoodoo 2 to fix fullscreen and stability issues for all NovaLogic games. Joystick/HOTAS was simple to set up. Overall this game is a ton of fun. A good mixture of sim and arcade with a great atmosphere.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Better than War Thunder!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game crashes after a while with no support to fix it. Don't wast your money!!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For those of us, who were around when we thought that Flight SIM 1998 was graphical, lol.... This is a game for those of use seeking some fun nostalgia. It is very outdated and has a difficult time working well with todays graphics, and PC capabilities, however, the game is still just as fun, and immersive as it was for us 20 years ago. :) It does work well with modern joysticks
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this game F-16 Multirole Fighter at 1999.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →wait this isnt dcs world
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just like you remember from back in the day - an awesome ride in a sim lite, F-16 Viper. Missions are a fun balance, flight model is fluid, and best of all it works just fine on Windows 10. Even prettier if you get a NGlide wrap for it (free download, google it), to run 3D acceleration. Totally worth it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I mastered this game in 1999 and it come back! I can still remember all the hot keys and this is really satisfying to play it again. The enemy reaction to your tactics is well designed. For example if you managed to shoot down their AEW (Air Early Warning) air craft , they could not reinforce quickly to your attack.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gameplay errors. Poor resolution.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played hundreds of hours of this game as a child. The graphics may be outdated, but the mechanics are still on par with most flight simulators these days. It's probably the closest you will get to an actual F-16 simulator without needing the military.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Works on Windows 11. Software rendering works fine (no tweaks required). Or install nGlide to run in 3dfx Glide mode (and play in higher resolutions and full hardware 3d rendering - 3D hardware acceleration with SLI) and enable Windows XP Compatibility Mode for F16.exe. Through Nglide settings you can set whatever resolution your screen supports - even resolutions that the game itself would not normally support. If you are experiencing issues, go to Options and put Menu Fullscreen to No -…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →F-16 Multirole Fighter is obviously a game about the F-16 Fighter plane. Its a really nice plane and it feels wonderful to fly. The weapons, the cockpit, how everything works, how simple everything is its just wonderful. +The game plays, sounds and looks great. +The F-16 is really cool to look at and really fun to fly +The default controls are easy to use and simple to understand and memorize. +Tons of missions. +Simulator-like but not too realistic. It has a nice balance between fun, quick,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its easy to use, super fun even thou its 20years old I still love to play!!!!! If anyone wants to play me lets me know.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have always wanted one of these when I was younger. Unfortunately I wasn't able to buy the CD bundle back then. I bought this now and took it for a spin. The graphics are really dated so this is not for those looking for an eye candy; but the game engine is still OK. Even the modelling flight dynamics of the game will hold up to today's standards.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I use to play this game for hours back in the late 90's. Good arcade/sim game that allows for quick action and ease of play.
