If you thought Gothic 3 was a bit wobbly, you will be in awe that there ever was a time post 1975 where such a game can be published without a prison sentence. Don't expect the depth or complex plot lines of Gothic 1 or 2 but if you just love a relaxed RPG with some progression and monster bashing then there is definitely enough to keep you engaged, motivated and entertained. I played it with the German soundtrack, which is good, but I'm sure the English one is also OK.

ArcaniA was a formative experience for me, where European RPGs are concerned. I loved the janky hitboxes, stilted dialogue, awkward acting, and poorly balanced combat. But more than that, I loved the sense of adventure, the carefully crafted worldbuilding, the beautiful soundtrack. I'm on my fifth playthrough now, and every time I find something new to appreciate.
