I could tell this is as good as Arcania. Pretty nice game. But I can not recommend this because it is too short. Stand-alone expansion for about 5 hours of gameplay. This should be included into Arcania or exist as DLC. This game will let you import your character from Arcania with full inventory and stats. Very good solution. Purchase of this game make sense only as a part of pack or on a sale.

[CLOSED] [STEAM] Christmas Steam Key Giveaway -- Part 1. I have amassed lots of extra Steam keys (some games I already have, some I'm just not interested in). I will keep adding to this list over the holidays, trying to get them to people who might use them. Note: I realize that I have many, many games available, and sometimes multiple keys for a game title, so you can request up to 5 games (in 1 message, please!) and at the end of the day I will allocate keys (randomly selecting if there…

Did it in 4.0 hours on normal difficulty, I think I completely explored the game and killed every single enemie, too. CLASSES: I started with the "Knight" class. "Mage" and "Hunter" are the other 2 available classes. MELEE WEAPONS & COMBAT: Weapons which apply burn or have life steal are just OP and get you through the game even easier than regularly. It's very easy to stunlock enemies by using a "Zweihänder" sword, I guess even a one handed would do, but I played with the two-handed…

Do not even consider buying this abomination if it's not included in any bundle. This is a joke, not a standalone expansion. This game is so short that it should be released as an update to the original ArcaniA. In some RPGs single main quests take as long as this whole game does...it looks like they cut out a quest from the original game before its release and sold it as a standalone title.

✅I give it a positive review because I wanted to see how the story of the Nameless Hero would end. ✅Nice graphics ✅Soundtrack ✅We have equipment from the main game ✅Old friends in the location ✅The plot ending the story of the Nameless One ❌The add-on is very short ❌low level of difficulty ❌For me it is unacceptable that in RPG games there is a linear plot

This is how JoWooD ends. Not with a bang, but with a $15 expansion for a game nobody bought or liked very much that re-uses a lot of the same assets from the main game. Originally supposed to come out a few months after ArcaniA shipped, the expansion seemed to be destined never to come out until Nordic Games (now THQ Nordic) picked up a lot of JoWooD IP, along with ArcaniA, and put this out. FOS is basically the ending to ArcaniA, locked up behind $15. It takes place immeditely after the main…

Simply put, this game followed on from the main game brilliantly. Not as much to do in terms of storyline and sidequests, but I wasn't expecting it to be bigger and better than the first. The game continues from where you left off, keeping your character, levels, skills and any gear. Small maps make it slightly easier to go from point to point, kinda felt like the game was a little bit rushed, or not ironed out completely. A few minor glitches here and there, but all round, a good, fun game.…

If you thought Arcania: Gothic 4 was already a ♥♥♥♥ stain in the Gothic series, then Fall of Setarrif is the final nail in the coffin. This four hour long DLC somehow manages to strip even more depth and soul out of an already hollow experience. Do you enjoy fetch quests with absolutely no narrative payoff? What about invisible walls that guide you through narrow tube levels, designed to give the illusion of freedom while shuttling you from one mindless combat arena to the next? Then this game…

Despite some quirks it's still RPG worth checking out if you like the genre. This one is expansion so expect rather short gameplay. Some of the bugs have been patched. Generally not the worst RPG out there but very mediocre one.

Wow, I can hardly believe I managed to find something even worse than Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods. This game is a 5-hour long (if you kill every possible creature and pick up every possible plant), fully-linear (think CoD-level of linearity), laughably easy (even at the hardest difficulty level just keep pressing M1), extremely poorly-written, bug-ridden abomination. It even has a trap section near the end, which is about 5x less advanced than the trap sections in Gothic 1. Oh, and I got 70 fps on…

ArcaniA: Fall of Setarrif is undoubtedly a very special game. While it's difficult to recommend buying it, at least it's better than Gothic 3 and original ArcaniA simply because it made me smile quite a few times how terrible it is. Therefore you should not buy it, but if you got it in some bundle you might give it a try. The playthrough took me less than 2 hours, albeit some scripts must have broke in my game and ending cut-scenes never played. Voice overs, especially these of the enemies,…

Fall of Setarrif is apparently some cut content from the mediocre ArcaniA masquerading as a full game. I powered through it, listening to all dialogues and killing most monsters but not going out of my way for anything, in 2 3/4 hours. There may be 3 1/2 hours of content here if you REALLY scavenge every inch of the ultra-linear map for things to do. And by "things to do", I mean grabbing junk off of the ground, not side quests because I only encountered one in my (admittedly truncated)…

while i for one enjoyed this standalone expansion i agree with everyone else, the game was way too short the store page says Playing time: 4 – 8 hours (what a joke) but its really only around 2 1/2hours. they should of added this into arcania as a update or dlc instead of trying to milk full profit like its a full game. I would avoid this game unless its at least 75% off

What was this? No, seriously! What the hell did I just played? On Hard difficulty I finished the game in 3 hours! 3 HOURS!! Are you out of your mind? Just like Arcania this xpack is terrible, bland, charmless and a brainless hack and slash. Poor quality overall. Strongly recommend you stay away from this unless you can buy the Gold edition for like £6. Otherwise save your money.

If you thought ArcaniA somehow needed less game, congratulations: Fall of Setarrif is here to answer the question nobody asked. I finished this thing in 100 minutes. That's not a typo. I've had character creators take longer than this expansion. This isn't an expansion, it's a side quest that escaped containment and got sold separately. Some of my favorite features: - the game proudly lets you import your endgame character from ArcaniA, then immediately starts handing out better gear,…

Wasn't Piranha Bytes not profitable for quite some time? Their games certainly had a community of fans, but I don't think those are enough to keep a whole studio afloat. Just thinking out loud, I did not look at any numbers, but in my head what's done them in is not producing games that feel good to play. I loved Gothic 3 and Arcania at the time, but I'd choose any other 3rd person RPG that actually has snappy controls over the more modern stuff like Elex and I feel like that's the mainstream…

Well, the addition doesn’t really bring anything new in itself, if you evaluate it as a separate game, then it’s crap, if you evaluate it as an addition, then it’s an average game for a couple of hours, if you evaluate it as part of Gothic, then this is the maximum bottom! I recommend this addition only to fans of Arcania, unless of course there are others like that here,I wouldn’t recommend this game to anyone, I liked Arcania as a standalone game, so I wrote a positive review! ⠀⠀⠀⠀…

SHORT REVIEW RIP OFF ALERT! - DO NOT BUY THIS “GAME”! This is presented as a full game and is being sold at a full game price. In reality it nothing more than a pretty short DLC for Arcania that has been packaged with its own launcher for some unknown reason. This should have been a free upgrade to the original Arcania or at the very least sold as a DLC, trying to dress this up as a full game is a con. What follows is pretty much the same review I posted for Arcania as all this is a small…

In spite of my negative review for Arcania, my review for Arcania Fall of Setariff is positive (or at least positive enough). My judgement probably depends on the fact that Arcania was such a huge disappointment that the small improvements that I was able to experience made this chapter partially enjoyable. Anyway… PROs: • At the beginning you can choose to export your old character from Arcania to this new chapter. Most of the items previously owned are available. • The map was improved…

Runs better than the base game because the automatic V-Sync works this time around, but man is it short, and not even worth a play-through if bought on sale. I did enjoy this more than the base game, and the story is very straight forward, but it is also extremely pointless and nonsensical, even if one did not pay attention to it like I did. Sadly, one should beat the base game before playing this one so they can import their save file and fly through this game if they are sadistic enough to…

Fall of Setarrif is probably the most sorry excuse of an addon I personally have laid eyes upon. No wait, the sorriest is actually Forsaken Gods for Gothic 3, but this comes in very close. The "addon" basically is nothing more than a 2-3hour premium priced actual ending to the absolute letdown of Arcania. While finishing the story for good, there is little to no content in this self proclaimed addon which has probably even less content than many DLC which are priced a third of the asking…

Extremely linear, extremely short, extremely tedious. This really is the last chapter of Arcania separated into a standalone expansion. It takes all the worst parts from the latter half of the original game - boring environments, endless tunnels, unchallenging combat - and doesn't offer anything new. Even the boss fight is a lame rehash of the one in Arcania. Took me a measly 3.4h to complete, and I explored every nook and cranny I could find.

I enjoyed the base game Arcania (although it was far from perfect) so when I heard there was an expansion I was interested in playing it to continue the story. Unfortunately this laclustre effort turned out to be a cheap cash grab by the developer. Usually a stand-alone expansion provides enough content to justify playing it as its own game. Not here. In a world of lootboxes, ingame purchases, and countless DLCs that offer way less content, this is actually quite a decent piece of story, albeit very short (3-6 hours of gameplay).
