Monument Builders: Alcatraz is one of several entries in a series of time management games based on famous historical landmarks. The game has you gathering materials and ordering the conversion of Alcatraz from a military to federal prison while fighting off notorious "Call Palone's" henchmen. It's an enjoyable entry in the genre despite a few issues. Gameplay is pretty standard; direct workers to build, repair and collect resources while removing obstacles as you rush to beat the clock and…

Time management game in which you build and expand the prison on Alcatraz, managing workers, resources, and the completion of subsequent construction stages ✅ Levels become increasingly difficult ✅ Pleasant graphics and music ✅ 50 levels, with 3 stars available on each level ✅ Very good price for the game's content ✅ The music perfectly matches the game's atmosphere ✅ Historical facts about Alcatraz between levels add educational value ✅ The graphics are decent ✅ Resource and worker management…

Alcatraz Builder is a strategic, path clearing, time managing puzzle game. Your goal is to clear the path from obstacles, bring items from point A to B, build and upgrade factories, hire people to get everything done faster and take down enemies. The levels only take a few minutes each to clear but are easily completed. However, it's frustrating yet addictive to achieve that perfect score of 3 stars. Alcatraz Builder reminds me a lot of the 12 Labours of Hercules series. But comparing those…

3/10 TL;DR click-priority time-management is tedious and unfulfilling; destroyed by remains of P2W system from mobile. I enjoyed the series for 12 Labours of Hercules much better. In this game, all upgraded buildings are useless; you cannot afford the time to build them to achieve faster production for the 3-star rating (internal achievements for game) Instead, the only way to achieve 3 stars is to pay in game gems to boost worker speed, building production speed, and auto-delivery.…

This is a really addictive game which you can compare to other games like "Tribloos 2" and "12 Labours of Hercules" I'm a fan of these games cause you can just play them if you want to relax a bit and they're not very hard. Currently there is a bug though, if you enable "Dutch" language it wont translate some things and will replace it with an "X" I do miss achievements for this game too. A friend gave me this game.

The game was fun in the beginning but got way too repetitive and boring.. IF you like this type of IOS game get the 12 Labours of Hercules series!! MUCH BETTER!

It's a mediocre time management game. The graphics are old but work, the controls are a little clunky, and the cheat system is odd. I presume it's a remnant from a mobile implementation. I got bored quickly and put it aside, and for that reason I can't recommend it.

While it starts out fun, and has some interesting true facts about Alcatraz to share, the levels themselves soon start to just be very repetitive. I stuck with it, to see if anything changes, but you really are ultimately just doing the same thing over and over. It really needed more variety in the buildable items or something to pick it up a bit. It's not a bad game, but to have levels essentially shift from building two of something to building six of the same something, and so on, jusr…

It starts out interesting, but quickly loses the players interest with repetitive missions which are near impossible to get to 3 stars without using the special bonuses bought with gems. Feels strongly like a P2W game after the first chapter. Greatest selling points are the historical facts that open up Alcatraz's history at the beginning of each level and quick trivia questions in some levels. Very simple game that isn't even easy to write about because it's so empty POWERED BY MAGIC GEMS!…

The setting is Alcatraz Island in the 1930's. The point is to convert it from a military prison to a federal one. Missions are quest based. Build a certain type of building or delivery a number materials. Harvest trees for lumber, remove road blocks and collect their materials, build and improve structures, repair the roads or click on theives and thugs to remove them. Also feeding cupcakes to Pelicans. Smooth gameplay. https://youtu.be/znpGXixtJSI

Avoid. It's a mobile game ported to PC and a terrible one at that. Gameplay is very repetitive after the first few levels. An exceedingly huge amount of micromanagement needed to do even simple tasks; clearly pitfalls to bait you into spending on microtransactions to automate things.

It's alright, but gets repetitive very fast. The game itself seems like it would be more appropriate for mobile or tablet, and i didn't feel like it explained the concept very well in the beginning, though i quickly understood. I didn't care much for the small facts, and also there are problems with the in game currency. It is like it's meant to be bought as microtransactions, but instead when you click buy, you just recieve it, and that's no fun. It seems unfinished.

As much as I don't want to dislike this game, as MANY people have pointed out, this appears to be a mobile port with the wrong sort of Pay to Win mechanics involved. The story and the facts about Alcatraz are alright. The gameplay is stand clicker fare. The first ten levels are ok, fun even. Easy to the point of being boring almost. Then all of the sudden you hit the wall, hard. No way to complete a 3 star level on the first run even with gems. I played the game to completion just to be…

It could be called: Alcatraz Clicker. A kind of pay-to-play game, perfect for fool users on tablets: Click to build - just click and wait Click to remove obstacles - just click and wait for the men to clean Click to advance level - just click and wait for improvement of building Use gems for bonus, that should have to be unlockable abilities (like auto transport, what kind of gambling for mental illness you have to click every 0,6 seconds in all your buildings to get the goods started? I really wouldn't recommend something so unfun. It's like a timed "puzzle" game where you just click click click click click oh would you look at that, cant deliver because theres a bird in the way. I would say this game hasnt aged well because i thought it was from '98, but now i see it was released in 2014 and that just makes everything a whole lot worse. It's a complete waste of time with no meat to the matter, there's no achievments or anything so no matter how far in i went, it just doesnt…

Alcatraz Builder is not a builder game per say, and I think it is important to highlight it right away so you don't get disappointed like I did, that was expecting some kind of building mechanics. Instead you need to gather resources, open paths and complete tasks throughout the levels in order to progress between it. It is really simple, really easy and totally oriented for phone/tablet and surprise surprise, it is free on mobile devices (available on Apple Store and for Android you can…

The game is essentially a clone of free pay-to-win mobile/fb games. The levels are unbalanced and nearly impossible to achieve 3 stars without spending special gems on boosts and bonuses, which kills the management part of the game. The developers did not bother to convert and balance the game into regular time management pc game, you should not bother buying it, especially with so many better games available.

Backlog Day: Monument Builders - Alcatraz (AKA: Alcatraz Builder). This is a mobile port. I know this based on how gem mechanics work. Mid game is near impossible unless you spend gems (no cash shop in the port), and still tight even when you do.

Meh. The game focuses on clicking chaos. Difficult to determine what they want in each level sometimes. And the whole punching out the robbers is rough. Like they made the thing be decided not to finish developing it.

Alcatraz Builder I played the game until the last level and I enjoyed it. During the first 10 levels it becomes clearly that this game is made for mobile devices such as iOS or Android. There are some specific boosters which can be activated by rubies. These rubies can be obtained by solving the levels under a specific time. You receive for each star you gain a ruby, but after a few levels the costs for the upgrades go higher. Typically at this time if you want to continue playing with all…

after you played ten missions you have seen all fity. No real challenge - as the mechanics are to simple. The genre of casual strategy game was new to me - and i will furthermore prefer "normal" strategy games For the nice presentation and the historical anecdotes i would still recommend it to everyone who wants to learn something about alkatraz or something easy to master.

What is realy nice, are the very good infos in the loading screen between the levels about alcatraz. realy nice historical infos. that makes the game some kind of better (i think)

It's reasonably OK for a time management game. The graphics look nice and there's more thinking you need to do in this game, although the things you do sometimes seem pretty ridiculous (like feeding the birds). As you crawl through the 50 levels, you will find yourself deciding what type of resource you need at the moment, or what type of building to build first, or which mobster to punch with your mouse button, etc. There are bonuses although I wonder what was the developer's intention here of…

Have you ever wanted to visit Alcatraz? Well now you can, sort of! In Alcatraz Builder, you play as someone who has been hired to build the Alcatraz prison. With your foreman's help, you begin playing levels where you send workers to cut trees, gather supplies, make money, etc. Each level has 3-stars for you to earn with different challenges to complete as well. With 50 levels, there is plenty to do! If you're stuck in a tough spot, you can use power-ups to automatically deliver your…
