44 of 44 · most liked firstTower Defense Game. It's like most of them. Casual but quite stressful on later levels. Since you deploy ships instead of towers, you of course can move them around. This makes the strategy a little bit different. There's a cute kind of humour and cartoon-style graphics. The controls are very easy to understand - You just use the mouse. If you like Tower Defense games you will probably enjoy this game. Although I think the price is a bit steep. 13 euro is too much. If you can pick this up at a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game would only register one keyboard stroke until it ceased allowing any keyboard input. When I finally gave up trying to get the keyboard to work and started a game, I found out that I was going to be called "he" throughout the game despite being a custom named, (assumedly?) faceless captain. Yeah, no thanks. Maybe this is a good game for men who can actually get it to work properly on their computers. Not so much for me.

The gameplay is very similar, but your plants can sail around the battlefield once they're placed. The next time you see this game for 75% off, pick it up. For less than a cup of coffee at Starbucks, you really can't go wrong.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Eh, it's an okay Tower D game, but there are much better ones out there.

Jack's battles will take him from the Carribbean-like Buccaneer Bay to the savage Cannibal Isles, the mysterious Sargassum Sea, and the icy reaches of Polaris, battling zombies and nefarious boss…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even at a buck and a half, this game doesn't work. It should not be compared to Plants vs. Zombies, since that is a much better game. That had strategy. Zombie Pirates is basically killing zombie ships and furiously clicking what they drop before it disappears. A dead ship drops a parrot, which can purchase ships, grop, which heals one ship, or a bomb which can blow up an area and may destroy several ships. It's just too hard. Try moving ships and using strategy in your spare seconds.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well basically Zombie Pirates is one big mini game where waves and and waves of zombie ships come from right side of the screen to attack you and you have to defend yourself using various items like powder kegs, parrots and other ships. Game is quite fun in small doses (like 10 min ) since it's very repetitive and can get boring really soon.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let's be totally up front here; Zombie Pirates both looks and feels like a game designed by someone who has never made a video game before. When it opens, it presents a quaint little opening where pirates destroy a person's ship and steals the owner's woman. Then, he rises from the dead because his love is too strong. Nothing special, but I understand - sometimes, you don't want to be too heavy with story. You just want a dumb little love story, and I can side with that. Our character has come…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too expensive for what it does, it could work as a $1 game on mobile, but having a default $15 price tag you can just figure that devs aren't good at putting 1 and 1 together. This can't compete with most $15 DECENT games (so I'm not even considering games that got avg Metascore of 80+). It's not the worst thing on Steam, but you don't want to bother with it, it is forgettable, barely inspired, and plain simple, it is the archetype of a mobile game, not as fun as it should thou.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pirates AND zombies? What's not to love? Well, the fact that I can't get it to run, for one. I was looking forward to a bit of casual swashbuckling mayhem but the game won't launch, and there has been close to zero forum activity for the game since its release - 10 years ago. One of the few forum posts did mention a possible fix by downloading an un-named something which worked for some and not others, but I just don't feel like going through the effort when there are so many other games to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprisingly fun casual game. It's a sort of a defense game where you set up your ships and defend/defeat the zombie enemy onslaught. The difficulty was perfect in my opinion; it was really hard to achieve diamond rank in some levels, but not impossible. The variety of ships and characters were entertaining. It has a comic story line and feel which makes it fun to play. I recommond it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little casual Tower Defense game with moveable, upgradeable ships and a silly pun-laced story. Not especially ground-breaking or challenging but enjoyable nonetheless. Recommended on sale. - Skinny from the Fat B*stard [url=http://steamcommunity.com/groups/skinnyfat#](curator link)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is total crap. Don't bother. No seriously. Don't bother.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a Phone/Tablet game (a time waster, as opposed to an involving PC Game), and belongs in that medium.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Zombie Pirates is a little tower defense game that is a decent time killer at best. I think the demographic is for people way younger than me but I did get some enjoyment from this game. A very casual gaming experience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3/10 Zombie Pirates is a minimal tower defense game where you fight against zombies in pirate ships. Clunky, ugly, and deeply flawed. Zombie Pirates is an extremely below average tower defense game. Place pirate ships with varying combat abilities fighting against zombies in pirate ships. There’s an overarching storyline to follow while playing but it isn’t the main center of the game and isn’t implemented very well, if you’re paying attention I feel like we’re the bad guys. I didn’t encounter…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A little Tower Defense game. Graphics and story are simple, is very fast to learn and quite easy to play. To win only requires speed of hand and thinking; ideal for kids. Is different from others because as the weapons are ships, can move them. Two serious tips: by its short duration, only worth with a discount of 75% or more, and If you cant run it, read the forum post.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →simplistic mechanics, repetitive and boring after a very short while. it may ramp up latter in the game but give the simplicity of the game itself. it really should present the more interesting things much earlier on.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun but short and easy
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is the basic mobile game experience. On par with early Flash games. I had no technical issues (on Win10) except for the name input glitching the whole game up until restarted. It's a dollar store game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's... Well.. Just.. I don't have anything nice to say.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun and casual line defense game with plenty of charm. The larger-than-life characters and the ability to equip your ship with various gadgets stand out as highlights. Grinding for equipment when hitting a difficulty wall feels like a bonus rather than a chore. Most boss battles are enjoyable, and the majority of levels offer good variety. However, the plot tends to forget itself along the way.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ahoy, maties! Prepare for an epic adventure as you track down the evil pirate responsible for raising even more zombie pirates from the dead! in all honesty, he's just looking for his lost love, but alas, he is doing bad things for her. Embark on a journey with Jack O'Callaghan, Esmeralda, Pierre and others as you traverse the Shimmering Seas to seven islands wrought with zombie pirates. With various islands to visit, new boats - friend and foe - to discover, and plenty of zombies to murder,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Total blah, but it all works, so there is that. For starters, not a tower defense game, so for me that was a disappointment. That said, it all seems to actually be a game. It starts out a bit confusing, as the intro seems to imply the zombie is the hero, but them once the game starts he isn't. Not a big deal, but weird. Anyway, you have a ship, and you can buy others to join your fleet as zombie ships attack and try to get past you. Most of the ships shoot things, and there are a few upgrades.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This feels like a mobile port. It's a pirate/zombie themed tower/lane defense game. I can't recommend it though for the price they have set for it. It's not a bad game but it's stunningly average and again, it will remind you of a mobile game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very good and simple summer game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dull, simple, generic, tower defense game. Feels a bit like a port from a phone game. Overall I didn't enjoy it. We spent 8 hours together which is pretty early for me to give up on a game. Not the absolute worst I ever played.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tags: Casual - Tower Defense Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Low production value spam-fest tower defense with no tooltips or no options menu. Fully voice acted and flash game comic style aesthetic. A handful of of ship types and a few special powers (bombs) to toss around. Game is laneless due to it being water-based, the cannonballs behave strangely with them honing on targets like heat seeker missiles more than actual cannonballs.. Setting and exposition…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game rather cheap and think its kinda fun. I don't know that its worth a 14.99 pricetag though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't normally care much for Tower Defense games, but this one was fun. It is kinda short and easy though it can bring hours of fun. I bought this on sale for a few dollars and I currently have around 13 hours of fun playing it, so I call that a win.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not bad...not bad at all. It's an above average casual strategy game, similar to Plants vs. Zombies. I would say PvZ is superior in every way, this is not a bad game. 7/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cant really get into the game, its rather chaotic (shallow micro management). The obvious gameplay comparison to this title is plants vs zombies, which is a good thing. It is not a bad game, but not a good one either. Thumbs down cause of its high price for a flash game and shallow micro management. Which is a shame cause its idea of controlling ships is great. It lacks good and intuitive rts functions and auto formations etc.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I almost quit this game after 5 minutes. Another TD game was frustrating me, this one seemed similar, and the reviews were mixed. It turned out to be not terrible. I stopped playing for the day but then gave it a second chance the next. Yes, it's worse than Plants vs. Zombies but as a lane defense game it's not horrendous. It all goes by fairly quickly and can present challenges without being excessively difficult. The people who complained about clicking all over the screen all the time woul…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/C52dLrGdlAk Yarr! Brains? It should be a safe bet to combine zombies and pirates to make a good game, but with controls rougher than a stormy sea makes this game run a ground.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty good game. Similar to PvZ in style. Well polished and worth the price I paid on sale. Nothing spectacular, but I spent a good 20ish hours on it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unskippable mspaint cutscenes up the rear. extremely boring game, click to move ship, ship autoaims and fires, watch the game play itself or just leave it be
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Avoid like the plague, good thing I got it for free :D
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No speed/difficulty, setting options screen consist of music. sound. and windowed ... the difficuly ramps up fast with tons of ships you are meant to destroy before they reach left side of screen.I dont see this as tower defence as there are no lanes just right to left.Seems they add new enemies and units to combat those enemies every round. I by no means play this type of game often and it seems from other reviews this maybe isnt the best one to base an opinion on the genre. It is very…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a pretty terrible game, I highly recommend you avoid it.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's just a casual game, unfortunately extremely overpriced. It may be worth 2€, not 12,99€
