negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A bit very short 3D remake. Get it with a good discount & enjoy it if you play it like me 2 times before & yeah it could be much more, more details, more different riddles, more secrets not only a gate & a b..k but its okay if you get it for a low price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What can I say, it's really an Indiana Jones/Tomb Raider/Uncharted copy. I can almost endlessly count the mistakes of the game, but I don't want to. (Okay, just a few examples: awkward main protagonist, dumb or stereotype side characters, there is no chemistry between the two main characters, not much real humour, maybe very few ones will work, etc.) But why I still recommend this game? Because if you sit down, and think about it as a typical "B" game that you only play when you want to have…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Adam's Venture Origins, contrary to what the title might suggest, is a shortened remaster edition of Adam's Venture Chronicles, making the entire game even shorter and simpler. Visually, it is more appealing, but it additionally betrays an already outrageous business practice to remaster a game trilogy which was already remastered with Chronicles very few years prior. Doesn't make the franchise any better either: The story is convoluted at best, voice acting is cringe-worthy, the puzzles, one…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The best way to describe this game is by imagine Indiana Jones but scuffed and instead of whip the main protagonist uses grappling hook. Honestly, the game has a good potential, however, it fails to deliver in every way I can think of. Firstly, I would like to start off by pointing out the elephant in the room and that's the terrible optimization. I don't know how can a game from 2016 run so poorly, it suffers from a constant stutter and my rtx 2060 was at 100% usage. Another thing are the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As you take control of Adam Venture the adventurer (sigh), you are pleasantly surprised when you meet Evelyn, your father's new secretary. Together with this attractive young lady, you start your journey to uncover the secret of Eden. Excavations in 1928 in an old French church exposed Templar symbols that provide a new approach for a treasure hunt. The findings lead you on a search for the four rivers out of the book of Genesis. Actually, the story isn't that important, because the strength…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Personally I like these type of games but the focus is definitely on the puzzles in the first place and then the story. The environment is beautiful but it's not meant for exploring. Pros: - nice puzzles, quite relaxing to figure them out, quite on the easy side though; - beautiful environment; - fun story for a puzzle game, the stories are useually really bad in this genre so I was positively surprised; Cons: - no exploring/very lineair; - apparently it does not run on every computer (I had…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Remake - but why? As I know the original game was not a huge hit as well, but this Origins pulls out the few elements that made Adam's Venture a little bit above the avarage mass of games. First, the story is full of clichés, it steals from Indiana Jones to Tomb Raider. But in reality, this title is just a counterpart of a B movie of the weaker kind. The gameplay is boring as well. It makes you repeat lot of similar puzzles which are interesting in the first two hours but lose its sense in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I do not consider myself a vindictive person. I feel that I try to be fair to most games and most ideas, so long as the end result is something I feel is worth my time and energy to experience. So when a game fails spectacularly to make its experience worthwhile, as is the case with Adam's Venture: Origins, I feel I must be upfront about my feelings. It is my sincere opinion that this is not a good game, or even a passable one. I cannot conceive of an angle or state of mind that would allow…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Picked this up during the last summer sale and I'm glad I did. It was great game and was very well done. The story was fairly straight forward but enough to keep me interested. The puzzles were challenging but not to the point where it was completely frustrating. The overall game controls were spot on and worked fine. In the final analysis, if you're looking for a solid game that can be played in one day, I highly suggest picking this one up. (8/10)

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Adam's Venture brings the old action gameplaying back again. with a great hero with bad sense of humour and cheesy pick up lines. If he's joking, wish that he'll never joke again. There has been sometime since i used pen and paper to solve something in a pc game. 5/7. not bad.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like the grapple hook! looks like a very nice adventure game, nice puzzle's also! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2DrN8BurPw
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An overall okay game given the small presumably budget and small team in the credits ( it goes on sale for less than a euro ). It has an okay fitting music which at some parts is quite good. The visuals are decent, the performance of the voice actors is cheesy but does the job and the small elements of platforming and the grappling hook are a nice touch. The puzzles, which are the main attraction of the game, have a nice variety, are simple yet hold some unique features and overall give a…

And here I thought this game would've done Chronicles a little better... It didn't! Seeing as I have just reviewed this latter, I'll not go into much details on Adam's Venture: Origins; it's literally the same game minus what puzzles that made me want to actually play it. Adam's Venture: Origins has less puzzles than Chronicles, and…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can not recommend this game, I got it for 1€, and I still couldn't recommend it. -Puzzles are fine, not very mind breaking, I guess, but repetitive at times which makes it uninteresting and boring. -There is ¨platforming¨ and ¨parkour¨, (Also repetitive w/o any interesting thing to do, hook that, jump on that, repeat) quotes because jumping and the grappling hook are quite bugged, which can cost you some minutes repeating tasks. -Collisions with the enviroment are bugged -Camera glitches at…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Adam's Venture: Origins is a total remake of the earlier released Adam's Venture games. In short, the game is about Adam and his female companion Evelyn, who are on a quest together. I will not spoil to much of the story but it's intriguing and quite entertaining. The game also has my kind of humor, with some funny one liners. The story does not have branches, and therefor the game is quite linear. But I think the developer intended to tell a specific story with this game. The "Adam's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →puzzles are fun, story and acting are bad, control is very stiff. Not worth $18, but I got it for $1 so i am not complaining
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short, linear tomb-raiding adventure that offers little more than some basic platforming and cryptic puzzles. This is supposed to be a "re-imagining" of the franchise, but much of the optional loot and side-puzzles from the previous iteration have been stripped out and replaced with - nothing. Mundane voice-acting and cringe-worthy dialogue stand out. Even the stealth sections are a linear path. Only thing going for it are the very nice graphics (CryEngine), but even that is tempered by some…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun, hardcore, oldskool adventure/puzzle game. It quite reminds me of great titles like Myst and Siberia in the feel of the game. Where you don't constantly get taken by the hand and lead to the solution. Totally recommended!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →**See Edit BELOW** Right now, for me, i can't play the game, it has some serious performances issues, i have tried the game on low, medium, high, v-sync on and off, and it keeps having this terrible FPS drops, it goes from 120 to 100 then 110 then 90 then to 120 then to 60 then 50, and i can't play like that, it also has terrible camera issues. The good thing is that the game has good graphics, the plot seems to be very good ( haven't play much, made it to the first paints area ) and the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Adam's Venture: Origins embarks players on a journey through the 1920s, blending historical intrigue with challenging puzzles. The game successfully immerses players in an era of forgotten relics and architectural wonders. The puzzles are a standout feature, demanding a mix of logical thinking and keen observation. However, technical hiccups and occasionally awkward voice acting hinder the overall experience. In contrast, Adam's Venture: Chronicles, the predecessor, refines many of the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Introduction This is a classic adventure game where we need to walk and solve different puzzles. And at the same time, no hints are given to you. That is, they write to you that you need to use the book, and how and where, think for yourself. You go into a cave and you need to open a passage, that's all. How to open it, with what, where to go, think of everything yourself. And that's right! The gameplay of Adam's Venture: Origins is built so that you start thinking not only about the puzzle,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My computer sounds like an airport with multiple jets landing whenever I'm playing this game which is hilarious because I've played more graphically demanding games on my Alienware than this. It looks pretty in the screenshots but once you get down to the brass tacks in your hind-end of playing this game all bets are off. Prepare for falling through the map, merging into scenery, screen tearing and much, much, much more! The plot of this game is basically Congo with our doofus hero Adam…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unreal engine and spelunking? What could get in the way of this fun premise? Biblical nonsense, sexist comments on gender norms, and linear solutions robs the game of the adventures it seeks to deliver. Stick to Indiana Jones if you're looking for wholesome treasure hunting. If family friendly is paramount, then spend your time and resources on the LEGO games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'll preface with this, PLAY THE CHRONICLES VERSION. Origins does some neat things like adding in the need to be stealth, adding in the grappling hook and some gameplay elements that go along with it. Some level redesigns were noticable and graphically appealing. However, these additions do not replace the amount of puzzles that have been removed in this remaster. If a lot of the puzzles from Chronicles were still in this game, I'd probably recommend it to a newcomer to the series. I believe…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Although this game is supposedly a "reimagination" of [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/362410/]Adam's Venture Chronicles, it just feels like a poorly done remastered version. There were maybe only a handful of new areas that weren't included in Chronicles. [url=https://steamcommunity.com/app/400360/discussions/0/224446614464734387/]According to the developer, the content and most puzzles are the same with the prime difference being the new look to the world and new game engine. I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was my 3rd time to play this same adventure. I first played through Adam's Venture Episodes 1, 2 and 3. They didn't cost much, so I appreciated the simple game, which still was funny, beautiful and family-friendly. Those episodes aren't available anymore, instead there is AV: Chronicles - a same game with a little bit remastering. There also Evelyn's hair color had changed from blondish to brown, and episodes had moved to chronoligally "right" order. So this one is already a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I absolutely LOVED this game, its apparent it was made with love, i truly enjoyed the Puzzles, it was mostly math but entertaining math. The dialogues between Adam and Evelyn are certainly unique but entertaining, the Story is coherent and fun. The settings are very nice and vary quite alot, never a dull moment actually. 10/10 I truly respect this game and loved playing though it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Chronicles were better in every way. I don't know why the creators decided to remake their one, perfect compilation of three episodes of the adventure about Adam. NPCs don't play any role, the game is exactly the same as in the Chronicles, but they added new locations and didn't even add facial animations. And removed other good parts of the game. The characters have no emotionality, no damage when falling. And, of course, the enemies. You're literally running behind them, and they don't…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR: Game that feels as a poorly made remaster of The Adam Venture's Chronicles and fails to deliver any more fun while being shorter and more expensive. Thinking that this game is some kind of a story expansion to The Adam Venture's Chronicles, I was honestly looking forward to that. That proved to be a mistake though. Firstly, it surprised me that the game started with a scene that already happened in the previous game. However, thinking that it serves as some kind of an introduction, I…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If obnoxiously dry rpg's are your thing, try it, i got it because of a deal from steam, i tried playing through it but the gameplay is not well designed and the puzzles are so simple that it's clear this game is designed for children.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awsome Puzzle game There are Hard puzzles but sure easy to solve in a couple of tries. Also in some case i really hate bugs and death in crap moment :) Anyway the game at all is fine for me and i enjoyed it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a nice adventure, gave me subtle vibes of Broken Sword Angel of Death but more compact and with more challenging puzzles that where pretty good even the frustrating water puzzle but loved the story, only thing was I just started to really get into as it was ending. Love to see more of his adventures.

But the more I played it, the more I enjoyed it. And when it was over, it wasn't enough - but I felt good. The game took me about 9 hours and I was never bored. The puzzles were challenging enough and varied enough. It's a mix of Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones. I liked the draisine ride the most. It was lightly funny…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game from my girlfriend altough I expected a lot from this game due to screenshots all I got was some platforming, stealth but also puzzles and I don't like puzzles in games, so what I did was playing this with a tutorial. Some of those puzzles aren't that bad but some of them are nightmare like 4 disks. When It comes to platforming since the protagonist doesn't take any fall damage some ledders which want you to climb down to some section of the game loose their purpose cause you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was okay, it was not a bad experience but also far from great. The game play felt like it was always missing something that I cannot place my finger on and as a result I just could not really get in to the game all that much. If you already own the game then sure take a day and play through it, and if the game goes on sale (ideally 100% off) then I would also recommend getting it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty good for a cheap game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Plain. Neither the story nor the puzzles are interesting. My biggest question goes to the first room: why cut the painting "The Ambassadors" in half? It was too weird. Basically the entire game is about solving easy puzzles: Put 3 parts of ladders together to reach the top of the bookshelf; memorize 5 letters to unlock a safe; rotate quotes to make it in the right order... Action is using a gripping hook either to drag down walls or swing between platforms. From the library to the tomb to the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A cheap Indiana Jones knock-off.... The voice acting, the story, the character movement and controls. It's almost laughable. The only reason why you may want to play are the puzzles, but even those can get repetitive after a while. Puzzles that can mosly be solved with logic. At a 90% discount, consider it if you are really bored and got nothing else to play. Otherwise stay far away.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You know, I was going through this game, bored and uninterested, and then at some point I asked myself if I even wanted to keep playing, and my answer was no. So I stopped playing. I think that while the game looks .. eh ok.. well I mean it's not the most original aesthetic. Anyway, what I was going to say is that the puzzles in the game are not hard enough to challenge me, the traversal of the environment gets old and tedious fast, and the story isn't much to have me hooked. I just don't…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tl;Dr Cliche story, wonky controls, uninteresting puzzles, fun to tear apart with friends. I bought this game at a 90% discount and honestly I don't really regret it. The boys had a lot of fun watching me suffer through roughly 4 hours of gameplay. The first thing you will notice is the very interesting choices in sound mixing. The deafening snoring in the first scene had us laughing and it only got worse. The controls are not tight which is okay since the platforming is only called such…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Adam's Venture is one of those games that give to it's players that so specific adventure vibe, adventure games used to give long time ago, but packed in a new modern way! It is amazing how far Adam's Venture went, combining all of the previous titles in one complete title, completely revamped. Very beautiful and unique as a result, the game takes you into those classic days where exploring ancient ruins and carving your way into tombs felt extremely exciting and satisfying! If you call…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good looking game with fun little puzzles, but it's way too short and lacking for a price like this, it's considered very expensive to most people out there, and if you think 4/5 hours is too short of a gameplay, don't buy this, but overall, it's a fun and challenging game. 6/10

Adam's Venture is a 3D third person puzzle adventure, set in the roaring 1920's. It's basically a remake / reimagining of the original, three-game, Adam's Venture series that was originally released between 2009 and 2012. In Adam's Venture Origins, you control the actions of our hero, Adam who, together with a female companion named Evelyn, will have to thwart the evil plans of the shadowy…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a newer easier version of Adams Venture Chronicals. I played through all of both and really enjoyed them. The puzzles have been simplifide and there is less achivements so it's easier to 100% it. Both games deal with Bible topics, but this one requires less actual Bible knowledge compared to Chronicals. This is one of those games like Tomb Raider, or Indianan Jones, or Strange Brigade, but without any shooting or intense action. If you like archaeology and puzzles, but hate anxiety…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pretty good short adventure game with a good storyline and some decent puzzles. Chronicles had better puzzles and a better ending encounter with the boss man, but this one has a better flow of the story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall, amazing graphics, amazing story and amazing mechanics.. the only problems for me (not that big though) there's some small bugs in the parkour physics. Otherwise, love it, i'd like to see a 2024-2025 remaster of the franchise. It'd be amazing to have more christian games like this one.. that have the Uncharted game style. Totally suggest the game. Content guide: Violence: there appear guns, but they're not used and when character falls the screen fades to a screen.…

Fun little game that can be completed pretty quickly, if you have a few hours. (Though due to how short the game is i recommend waiting for a sale, the price is a bit to high for the length)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful puzzle game that will make your brain melt from thinking. The current mixed rating seems quite unfair to me, I guess people were expecting this to be an action game like Tomb Raider/Uncharted and then got disappointed by the lack of combat, but people shouldn't blame the game for their unfounded expectations. If you like puzzles, you've found an excellent game. Pro tip: when you reach the church's entrance, ignore the statues, they're just a distraction. Focus on the bells.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Main reason of disapproval: You cannot rebind the keys, nor tweak the controller in any way. At least, not through the game. You can luckily use steam's tweakings, to get a controller to work. Other than that, this is yet another game, that forces the player to use WASD. I, and many others, do not use WASD. Not allowing the user to rebind the controls, is a bad way to present yourself as a developer. People want to play a game, the way they want. Not be forced to play it in a way, that goes…
