39 of 39 · most liked firstI was pleasantly surprised with the gameplay of 96 Mill and really happy I didn't judge this book by its cover... er... game by its screenshots rather. It doesn't look like much, but it gave me the creeps and had me looking over my shoulder the entire time. You feel like you're in it with the real talk of your partner, the atmosphere, and the sounds. The ambiance really made this game great. It wasn't frustrating to figure out, but made me think for a minute what I should do, where I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'M A FIRESTARTER, TWISTED FIRESTARTER - Prodigy Okay maybe not a firestarter but you are a sidekick for a demolitions expert named Frank (who seems to revel in calling you a 'rookie') as you navigate around the grounds of Edmont Worsted Industrial complex in 96 Mill St, Rhode Island to prep and place explosives at key points marked out by Frank. As you explore each area you will hear Frank eloquently update you with warnings or advice of that location but he also sounds spooked by the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a really nice, short game. Not really worth $5.99, but I got it on sale for $1.49 and it is a great purchase at that rate. The graphics are all photos, but that sometimes adds to the creep factor. The side character of your boss is very well done and made this game really fun. The music is standard horror, nothing special. You should try it, just not at $5.99.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a well done point and click game, with an eerie atmosphere and some nice exploration. The story is simple and keeps you interested in the building and the characters, but just when it seems to be building up to something really cool, the game forces you to make some stupid decision and makes you end the game with little to no explanation to what actually is going on. The different endings are all very much the same and I finished the game without no sense of reward whatsoever. Very…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really creepy images, great sound effects, and easy to get immersed in. I still haven't found endings 1, 2, or 7, but will probably keep playing until I figure it all out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very short point and click. Make your way through an abandoned building by finding items that eventually unlock all the areas. Fairly easy to figure it all out. Unusual game set up where only stills and a map are used. Don't buy at full price but if you get it on a BIG sale it's a fun 3 hour game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is an quite average and short point and click first person adventure game with some light puzzles. only buy on sale!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →overall not a bad game. i mean the concept is well developped, but it's paranormal activity oriented. which wasn't told in the shop description. asked for a refund. the same thing as a police officer investigation without paranormal stuff, could have been very cool i think. so i don't recommend, but the concept has definitely some potential
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A spooky exploration adventure/point & click. It does have a few jump scares and I've gotten lost a few times, but I rather enjoy it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An okay spooky time-filler with a few scary elements. You're tasked with planting explosive charges inside and around an old derelict building where many people have gone missing throughout the years. What can go wrong, eh? As you keep pushing inside the building, the plot starts to develop and at the end when you get the full-ish picture of its history, it becomes kinda intriguing. But it's not a very deep sophisticated game, nor is it lengthy. Can be beat in about an hour.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well done point and click game especially with such minimal graphics, not necessarily bad just minimal. Areas were easy but not boring to maneuver around. Only was stumped once with how to unlock an area. The quest log was mostly not needed and it was hard to sometimes remember where certain areas were. The simplistic but effective jump scares had me holding my breath each time I walked into the next room, whether I had already explored it or not which made it beneficial to not just fast…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a good example of a game that needs a "neutral" rating. It is neither exceptionally great, nor is it terribly bad. The gameplay is point-and-click, with static scenes to move through; it feels like moving from one photograph to another. There is limited interaction and you don't need to figure out exactly how to interact, as the interaction points are shown as picture-in-picture insets at the top left of the screen. Nothing is challenging here. The map also tells you exactly where…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →96 Mill, developed by Ethereal Darkness Interactive and published by Strategy First, is a first-person point-and-click horror adventure that leans heavily on atmosphere, environmental storytelling, and player-driven discovery. Set inside the abandoned Edmont Worsted Industrial Complex in Rhode Island, the game places you in the role of a demolition company worker assigned to inspect the property before its destruction. What initially appears to be a straightforward occupational task gradually…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked this game. It is not very long (about 2 hours), but the atmosphere and mystery in the game really stirred my curiosity. You play as some demolition worker who has to install explosives on various areas of the site of an old building planned for demolition, while listening to your boss walking-talking to you, commenting or giving you new tasks as you explore the building site. 96 Mill is just a point and click game composed with real photos, but I found that the gameplay was very…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite a nice little adventure game with a dark ambience. It's supposed to have 10 endings but I only managed to find 4 endings. If the game had achievements it would have given me an incentive to find the remaining endings.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only just starting out in the game, but it seems like a competent "point and click" adventure - especially right now at 85% off. The "scares" so far have been very subtle; so subtle that I almost missed them (ghost at a door in the distance, ghost at a window in the distance). I have no doubt they will get more pronounced as the game progresses. I have a few gripes with the game, but they are not bad enough to prevent me from playing. However, it would be nice if some of them could be…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really nice creepy story. The jumpscares were a bit off in some parts since I just noticed the music indicating something had appeared but I didn't know what it was since I didn't catch a glimpse of it. But what I did catch gave me the creeps. There are also 10 endings and while I haven't gotten them all they're good. I especially like the option to just say ♥♥♥♥ this and go home.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Does not load. Verify files, 17 load, says ok. Does not load (whitescreen). Verify files, 17 load, says ok. Does not load. Ad infinitum, ad nauseam... You owe me a beer, and a game that works. Update: Finally managed to get it running on my wife's laptop, enjoyed a couple hours of fun gameplay, locked on a loading screen. Restart: white screen of death. Damnit, y'all, this is a good game! FIX IT!!! One more update: I believe the cause of the white screen is this game HATES alt-tab. You may…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short (1/2 - 1 hour) entry level Point & Click Adventure from the same people who brought you STATIC: Investigator Training. The imagry is very nice, but the voice acting is spotty. If you like Point & Click, and Paranormal games, this might be worth picking up for a late night spooky game session. Multiple endings (10) give the game moderate replay value.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay, this game is low-key. You never see your silent protagonist character, or any of the others with a speaking role. Instead you hunt down items to use in order to unlock new locations and make them ready for demolition. Increasingly though, you see creepy apparitions. Some are repeatable, but not all. I've managed to get 2 of the 8 endings and a couple of game-overs and that means I've not yet discovered all there is to discover in the game. If you don't set your expectations too high,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short game with multiple endings. Meh, it was something different. I appreciate the effort put into it to give it that authentic feel. I got turned around a few times but it's a point and click so you can't get TOO lost :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An awkward janky mess with no style, no charm, & no sex appeal. There is a broken image icon on the screen the whole time you play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For the 77p I paid this was a fun if short game. Old style first person point and click where you navigate to different locations by clicking the on screen arrows. In a break from the old school the arrows are labelled with the area they take you to or question marks if it's one you haven't visited yet. It also has a map that allows you to jump to any already explored location, which avoids having to move all around the map trying to find where you might be able to use that item or key you've…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After playing STATIC: Investigator Training (from the same company) I bought this looking for more and quite enjoyed. It isn't a sequel but seems to be in the same universe. It's a very short game, but cost almost nothing. I recommend. Shame that the developer doesn't exist anymore.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this will be the last time I chuck a molotov cocktail through a window just to see what happens. and in real life too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A little fun for a while, but there is some bug with the new game button that discouraged me of finding all endings.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Couldn't get to work, always hangs on a white screen after clicking on play button.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Reasonably spooky, a bit short.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked this one. There was a lot of roaming around a derelict mill finding things to access locked areas so you can set your charges. You navigate through the static scenes by clicking arrows to get to the next one. The map is very useful. There's also a lot of jumpscares- very few were actually scary. I missed about half of them entirely. Music would signify something scary is happening but it was gone before I saw it- which was okay. I liked the adventure of the game- listening to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game for the discounted price. I received endings 1, 2, 4, 8, & 10 out of 10. It was creepy and once you get an ending, you can start off at the last auto-save.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2.5/10 Drin Score. OK, don't get the low score mislead you. I still recommend this game most probably if you can get this in a large discount. This game is very basic. It's just still photos of somewhat creepy rooms in an abandoned plant/factory, which you are tasked to demolish. You are just going from room to room, implanting demolition bombs. Story is very basic, so you welcome the voice acting which is passable but just sparse. You get some audio files to give you a better…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like this game! Its a shame it hasnt been updated much since a couple of years ago. However, its still nicely polished and done up, and worth the buy if you can grab it on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A point and click psychological horror game. Its not long, you should be able to complete it in about 1,5-2 hours, after that you can try and do extra endings. You go about exploring a building you need to help demolish, but things to go according to plan. Cant really say much here, the screenshots describe most of what you will be seeing, you will find audio logs and notes along the way to learn more about the place all while having eerie music/sounds play in the background. Fast travel…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love a spooky game. I've played many of them and most are decidedly average. 96 Mill attracted me because it's use of photography rather than artistic graphics, which made the locations look far more interesting than they might otherwise have been. I bought it during a sale, so the price wasn't too high and it was worth a punt. One I'm really glad I took. The story is quite simple: you play a demolition worker tasked with setting charges to blow up an old mill. Unfortunately your boss has…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice interactive story game where you play as a demolition man charged with destroying an old industrial complex with a dark history. Game is engrossing, easy and without any frustrating puzzle problems. Very much a detective story as you gather documents and recordings left behind by a paranormal investigator. Recommended for those who like uncovering hidden stories in an investigative manner.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this on sale. It's very fun and atmospheric, but there is literally only ONE hours worth of gameplay, even if you take your time, it just ends way too fast. It should also emphasized that this game is more like a walking simulator horror game than a puzzle point&click. In fact, there are few if any real puzzles (other than a use this object to open that object.. and it was completely obvious). Fun concept, average execution, far too little content, unfortunately. Pick it up on sale!
