60 of 99 · most liked firstZombo Buster Advance is a tower defence strategy game. You have 3 to 5 lanes to defend in 50 levels with over 10 different units. The enemies are mostly zombies. There are dozens of different enemies. You can upgrade abilities, gadgets and your units with different badges. There are badges to make your units stronger, shoot faster, make them cheaper, give a chance for a double shot and reduce the time to place them again. You can even upgrade these badges to make them have higher values. What…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first game was great. Its a classic tower defense and you can upgrade characters skills individually in spite of having to grind a little for gold. This game, is not that. You never have enough money or gold to upgrade troops, gadgets, or skills. The gameplay is too slow and you either have to grind a bunch to beat the boss levels or use the power ups
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is this an amazing game, no. Is it a great game, no. It is however a competent game and that's no bad thing. It's essentially a variation on the plants v zombies gameplay style and it does it's job well enough. I can't say i was enthralled all the time while playing this as it gets a bit grindy towards the end especially if chasing all the achievements but by and large it's fun and low cost fun at that. 6/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall 8/10 Game. Solid experience based on the price -Achievements work fine -The game initially is very hard. However, gets better as the game progressed -Graphics are good -Plenty of Levels
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros: 1) An original tower defense game where you have to elevate your units on different floors to deal with certain situations. 2) Collect up to 16 units as you progress 50 levels and 8 worlds or by earn achievements base on your performance in each level. 3) 45 Zombies with unique and troublesome abilities to bypass your defenses 4) 9 Gadgets you can use to support your units. 5) Upgrades and Badges that can empower your units (So far I have managed to beat the game with little grinding…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tower Defense with no speedup button. It's very slow, and not very deep. Plenty of better TD out there.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is like plants vs zombies but more leveling up.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Zombie TD + badges + cool gadgets = Survive the zombie horde by placing up to 3 units per lane and switching floors. Collect medals to upgrade skills and badges to equip units. Fairly addictive. Follow our curator for similar games https://store.steampowered.com/curator/35180752-3-point-play/
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I hate to do this, as I was enjoying as a fun little wave defense game, but I just unlocked the bouncer unit and uhhhhh his character design is racist. The only black guy in the game and you gave him the caricatured lips. Please don't.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My Experience Zombo Buster Advance is very much a "what you see is what you get affair." There's very little I could tell you that isn't already covered sufficiently in the game's trailer. You're defending multiple floors simultaneously within a zombie-infested building. Using "energy" that is slowly accumulated over time, you deploy up to three troops per floor in an "elevator" on the left side, and you can swap one elevator with another to relocate your sets of three. Although there is a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A tower lane defence with really cute little zombies to get your chibi soldiers to shoot up, as you casually work through many levels to earn cash, buy upgrades and seek out those completion stars. https://youtu.be/GSxi7Dx6nBI
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, this is a really nice Tower/lane defense game... It's well made, colorful, the elevator system adds a new layer of strategy and everytime I felt I hit a wall i was able to overcome it by messing with the "resources" tab which is fully resetable (you level up resources like unit power and the speed generator that let you add new units). The units are varied (some more useful than the others though) and the gadgets are fun. Really nice for the price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're expecting an experience like the first Zombo Buster this isn't it. It tries some ideas that aren't too bad, but that ultimatelly doesn't make a really good game. You never have enough power to do anything, there's no upgrades of the characters as there were in the original one (instead they're replaced by random badges that i didn't really like), and it's really slow. It's not a bad game, it's just forgettable, something that the original one isn't.,
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are a person who loves Tower Defense Games, you will not regret this game.....Trust me on that...thanks me later :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wish I could give this a 'meh' instead of a Recommended. Fun nostalgia to remind you of flash games of past, but not challenging in the slightest. Mediocre progression system for characters and skills with a tedious grind for runes. *Achievement hunters: you will be forced to used terrible units over and over on earlier maps just to complete their challenges turning your brain into a zombo itself...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too easy and too short, and with no replay value it should have been 2 or 3 dollars. At 5 dollars it feels a bit like a ripoff. I don't mind the simple mechanics, but there are more "towers" (units) here than there are hours of gameplay... and that's just silly. Oh, and the interface, graphics, and strategy designs are all a complete ripoff of/tribute to Ironhide Games (Kingdom Rush, Iron Marines). Except for the bad translations, numerous mistakes, and total lack of replay value, you could…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the most boring "games" I've ever seen. There's really about nothing to do in this game, click on boring upgrades, watch your little guys shoot at the boring zombies. Just tedious to watch (note, -watch- not play) this game since there really isn't much to do here. Even at a -90% price cut I would not recommend this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game! It's far more fun than the screenshots might imply. The game is very well-balanced in every aspect. Troops, enemies, upgrades. Very addictive and lots of fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Plants vs Zombies like game. Not grindy (I don't understand the comments) - I was able to complete it with almost no level repeats other than the times I died. +10hours well spent!

unlabelledView post →Look like a nice and cool Tower Defense game. But...the game is just too hard. You don't have enought DPS or money and you can't pass level 13 or higher. The game is NOT balanced and it also has bugs. When you start to play a level it might take 2 full minutes or more until the level actually start. Please fix those bugs and make the game more fair!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think I've never wrote any review on Steam. This game is worth much more money than it's currently listed. It's really fun, engaging, you will not feel bored. There are many units that have different purposes. There are mechanics that you have to overcome. I really enjoy the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nothing special! Kinda OK, but also kinda boring. Gameplay is a bit like Plants vs Zombies and you can move your units up/down with the elevator. Fun concept in itself, but it doesn't quite deliver. I would say this game is a middle thumb, but I still lean more towards not recommending it. There are several things I really didn't like: - Gameplay is very slow paced and you can't speed up time. - Frequent zombie growls are just annoying. - The game feels too much like a mobile game. -…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is great, it feels super similar to a game I used to play online (pretty sure I played an old game from this franchise) and it is just as great as I remember for the most part. There's quite a lot of units with their own stats and some even have special powers, like piercing through up to 2 enemies, hitting all enemies, stun, aoe, your usual suspects for special powers. There's also badges to make them more powerful, by making them shoot faster, deal more damage, cost less, reduced…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a free flash game, but you pay for it. Is it fun? Yeah, it's fun. Is it worth the price? Sure. There's only grinding if you want a perfect score on every level, otherwise you can just go through pretty easily. It's not particularly challenging and you can ignore perhaps 40% of the unitls available to you, although they all have their uses. But despite them all doing something useful, there are a handful that are significantly better than the others, so you end up just mostly building the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This Game need Endless Mode
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Garbage pacing, terrible balance, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mobile port with removed MTX and you can't even farm it like Rising since money is useless at start and badges are coming in way too slow.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →zombo buster is another childhood game that i used to play at armor games or not doppler. ngl ones i saw that trailer of the game i was disappoint cuz i really like old units in the game like captain tesla or lethal like the voice lines or the design and i liked the old upgrading system and when you killing zombies you get money to upgrade your units while in game but its just you gain energy to place the unit and it makes the game play slower. but after i bought the game i was soooooooooooo…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Underwhelming, grindy and forgettable. The first game was so much better than this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had a good time with this tower defense/plants vs zombies budget game. The game has a decent difficulty and there's a good variety of enemies, soldiers, and upgrades. As you beat each level, you get points and money that you can use to upgrade your soldiers and gadgets. This is totally worth it. It's plenty of game for a great price!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For similar games follow: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/35180752-3-point-play/ This feels like a satisfying tower defense game with a good amount of depth to it. I played around a bit with the gameplay mechanics. Everything seemed solid. I can’t say it’s my favorite genre. The last tower defense game I remember playing was some flash game ages ago. This brought some pleasant memories. It's a shame that it's a "Profile Features Limited" game currently when it's 3.99€. It means the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome lane defense (like Plants vs Zombies).I love the elevator mechanics where you can switch lanes. Also the game graphics are very cute. Here is some gameplay for those curious: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQaGNuZH8Og
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Zombo Buster Advance is a tightly designed strategy game that takes familiar tower defense ideas and reframes them through compact, vertical arenas that emphasize movement, timing, and tactical flexibility. Developed and published by FIREBEAST, the game places players inside multi-floor buildings overrun by zombies, where survival depends less on static placement and more on your ability to adapt to rapidly shifting threats. What initially looks like a straightforward defense game quickly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →7/10. Big Brain Moves | Tactical | Engaging. A true hidden gem for those who love their Tower Defence games. It's pretty self explanatory. You defend yourself against zombies & mutants. The further you get, the more you unlock, the harder it progressively gets. It's packed with a variation of upgrades & units/power ups & more. I'm writing this review without finishing this game (yet) - I'd say it's easily a 8-10 hour game! Can you make it all the way to the end? - Give this game a shot,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty nice, classic game but grinding for the achievements is really annoying even if you speedhack
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A long time ago I remember playing the flash games of this series, to be direct they ware never the best tower defense games one could play on the internet, but they ware fine enough, specially the last one (I think) was kinda getting somewhere, though it ended quite before it really got "there", so I thought, a "full paid game" (albait one I purchused heavilly discounttend) when I saw it, would surelly expand on it and improve it, more or less the same way each entry before did, rather than…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's too basic and slow to be much fun. If it wasn't grindy that would probably cure it. However as it is you have to play the same level a few times. The trouble is there isn't enough going on to make you want to play the same level. For a couple bucks it'd be okay if you love this kind of game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome! Nothing special here, except for the elevator mechanics (which is great). It's just a well-made TD. VERY well-made. So good, that you rarely see these days. You have the gameplay and there is nothing wrong with it. Upgrades are perfectly balanced, perks are great, items are useful. THERE'S almost NO GRIND! You can just complete the game from the first level to last one with a very few returns. Some might call it easy, i guess. But it does what it supposed to do - it's fun! I want more.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is not bad. There are several minuses. It is quite slow at times and also repetitive. Achievements require a lot of playing. The biggest problem is the big grinding and there is no plus game. For the achievements it will take you almost double or even more than it takes to beat the game. And there was a speed button, but they removed it, which is also a minus. But the game is still fun and cheap.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a ton of fun, easily worth a buy and play. You'll find yourself lost in the moment and spend hours with it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The balance and pace feel intentionally poor like a shameless mtx driven mobile game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i like this game, i enjoyed playing it. but the one thing i did not like about it is the over exaggerated achievements. if you don't care about achievements, great. you like TD games then you should try this one. just know that you will beat this game before unlocking half the achievements. there is no new game +, no modes other than the main campaign. you want the cheevs? replay the same levels till you get them. as an excuse, if you haven't upgraded some things and/or got a perfect…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A simplistic flash game, the type you could find on kongregate or newgrounds. It was mildly amusing for a bit, but I could see the loop playing out over the next 20 hours and didn't feel like continuing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Technical difficulties with a game like this is unacceptable. Sound issues.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was looking for a game like Plants vs zombies but one that is not owned by Electronic Arts (One of the two worst publishers in the industry). This hits the spot nicely! It's a bit different, but in a good way.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The general idea of this game is amazing, a lane-based tower defense game in which you can move the lanes around at will, allowing you to defend 5 lanes with just 3 lanes worth of units. Just beating the game is fun but too easy. I rarely had to replay any stages as some units are just good at everything and if you mainly use these all-round talents the game is a breeze. I wish some of the units would be rebalanced. Getting all the achievements is a boring grind (it took about 10 hours after…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Zombo Buster Advance is a Tower Defense game with a twist (that you can change the position of the units once they've been put down)... it's fun, kinda short if you don't go for all the achievements (but if you do the time played can be 3 to 4 times as long- 34 hrs for me first play through to completion... still kinda short....). The units are self explanatory, if you choose to play this game you will have your favorites but be aware that to get all 93 achievements you need to play with just…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little game, but it does have a lot of issues. Thumbs up since I got ~8 hours out of it for half price. - The unit balance is off. I beat the final boss using some of the first units the game gives you. There was no point to ever buying the expensive units. - Certain perks are a complete waste. Level energy, damage, and swap. By the end of the game you won't even touch the others. - Gets repetitive really quickly and there is no fast-forward button.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I remember playing this as a flash game. Still pretty good. Though when you put a price tag on it there are some expectations that there is more than what was previously in the flash game. There's a pretty large cast of units, though some are useless and others are essential due to the armor mechanics of the enemy units. Typically I'm stuck with a cheap front liner, a fast shooting mid, and a heavy hitter. Units like the flamer or icer just don't fit into those slots. The Armorbane and health…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game. Short, no "end game" replayability but for 12 hours of fun play for $5 it was worth it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun game, wish there was a little more but cant complain. good way to kill 10ish hours if its your type of game :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun TD with some neat systems in play. Feels a bit like Plants VS Zombies but far less restrictive. Each new area adds new twists and towers so you constantly have content being drip fed. Very much worth the price
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Has about 25 hours of grinding to 100%. Otherwise, I enjoyed most of it. Does suffer from certain units being useless. 5.5/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great addictive game !! Highly recommended 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I genuinely like this game. I like the simplicity, the gameplay, and the mechanics overall. It's been a fun experience... right up until the final mission of each section. My biggest issue is the difficulty spike. Even after fully upgrading my gear and putting every medal into my equipment, I genuinely can't become any stronger. Yet the zombie spawns are so overwhelming that the mission feels like a guaranteed loss rather than a challenge. It honestly feels like the final mission of each…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yep this game is kinda outdated. Every stages are just a repetition for the first one (like little extra features but higher health enemies). And the game itself doesn't even have an speed forward button. However, this game is still an icon for gen Z, and retains the old values. 3/5 for me
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Innovative take on the tower defense genre. Game is challenging, requires a good bit of strategy, and plays seamlessly. I highly recommend it if you like the aesthetics, enjoy tower defense games, and aren't tired of zombies yet.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blows
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →way too cartoony compared with the flash version. but ok
