Yu-Gi-Oh! EARLY DAYS COLLECTION

The fact the Yu-Gi-Oh Early Days Collection games include "phonetic Brooklyn" in their localizations puts a smile on my face.

Yu-Gi-Oh Forbidden Memories should be in this collection... $39.99 just to play Dark Duel Stories is a scam even when it's on sale. Forced to pay for 8 extra trash games just to replay 1 childhood classic.

Duel Monsters (1998gb) B+ tier. Box art is great, its rather short, its not too difficult and it plays really fast in the collection. Wonderful art for the cards. A great starting point for Yu-Gi-Oh!. This deserves a lot of attention simply for being the foundation of the series. Duel Monsters 2/ Dark Duel Stories Japan? (1999gbc) C tier. Didn't improve enough to make it worth it. Made a few things worse. Slowed down the gameplay with extra options and was mostly repetitive. Big detractor was…

TL;DR: EARLY DAYS COLLECTION is a good game collection that features a mixed bag of games. Some are good, some are great, and some aren't worth playing. I recommend getting this collection when it's on sale, because the $50 MSRP is steep. First and foremost: The price. It's steep, and I think it's the main thing many people will point to regarding this collection. This collection is good! But the price makes it a tough sell for anyone who isn't the most diehard Yugioh fan. (Specifically the…

An extremely overpriced collection containing generally the weakest and worst Yu-Gi-Oh games. Sacred Cards and Reshef of destruction are probably the only genuinely good games (Reshelf only if you turn on some of the built in cheats to bypass the ridiculous unfair difficulty). The rest of the collection ranges from "fine but later instalments did it much better" to several forms of digital torture. At full price this collection is a scam, it should be £20 full price at max and it'd still say…

Was having a real TCG itch so I bought this on sale for $39.99. Decided to wait until I got all the achievements until I wrote a review. I'll write a quick review for each game in the collection along with it's biggest pro and con. Duel Monsters: Very reminiscent of the original few anime episodes where they make rules up as they go. 98% of the cards are normal monsters. Pro: Pixel art is good Con: basically just the card game 'War' where big number wins and you slam fatter monsters into each…

Honestly, not a bad collection. Not a great one though either, and I will explain why. Bought it to enjoy the OG Yu-gi-oh experience before I truly got into the game. I really just have three complaints. The first one is obvious and let's get it out of the way. The price. No, this bundle is not worth it at full price. I am in no way going to defend this horrid price gouging. I only swallowed my pride and gave in so I could experience it at face value and give an honest opinion. And I have to…

To be fair, the pack is exactly what it says it is, and the extra save and load feature is pretty nice. That said, I can't recommend this unless there's specific games on this list you want. They call it the 'early days' pack, but exclude every popular game (like the duelist of the roses) and only included the extremely simplified ones, most of which don't even use trap cards. If you want to play these specific games, then it's exactly what you want. If you want to play the fun yugioh…

I love the old games but man do i feel like they put no effort in to making this. It feel like they made straight ports without optimizing anything for the pc experience. I can't justify the buy when i stutter and lag to 0 frames after every action in a duel and struggle to find the right button for each games controls.

Unless you have a deep nostalgia for the original gameboy games I'd skip this. You're better off emulating other titles or playing Legacy of the Duelist. The other titles might be better but personally even at a high discount this isn't really worth it for most players/
