unlabelledView post →A live service game that asks for full price at the door. The single player component is 10-15 hours of braindead-easy hack & slash with the typical simplistic writing you normally see in anime crossover games. The single player component alone might be justifiable at $5-10 if you're a big SAO fan. Multiplayer is lacking in obvious QoL features and endgame content. The playerbase tanked by 90% after the first month and never recovered. Games need 5 players to even start and it's a fight to…

unlabelledView post →I have played this game for 1110 hours honestly it was fun especially if you are an SAO fan however the game is made of paper if it crashes randomly WHICH IT WILL it can just corrupt all your data WHICH IT DID to me and Steam WILL save the corrupt data into the ONLY steam cloud save data I have lost nearly all of my work All characters above level 30 Most of the female cast above level 50 (for outfits) Most outfits I've grinded out All story progress All Neige fragments Strea…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DO NOT BUY!! Play any other SAO game than this; look at Steam charts. This game is the most pointless grind. You don't get new moves; it takes forever to unlock the higher-tier stuff. All that changes is the number on the screen. It doesn't matter if this game is 50% off or 90% off just don't buy it. The solo play was mid at best. I went in wanting to love this game, wanted to 100% it in achievements, but I stopped because it was repetitive, boring, and not worth the effort. There were fun…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i will start by saying, this game was incredibly fun at launch and had immense potential. the combat was pretty fluid, most characters were fun and none felt like you were purposely holding your team back by playing. unfortunately, that's where the the good things to say ends. I noticed real quick that once you were done with the story, the co-op events were the only kind of content you could do. that doesn't sound too bad, but with how low the player count was even on launch, that quickly…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dead population unless you're on Asian times. Not sure how long that will last because it's not sustainable. Need 5 real people to get into games including yourself. No new content when the game has been out for more than half a year. All your playtime is constantly repeating the same exact raid and co-op quests again and again. Terrible as a new player and not worth getting into because even when you do get games, the 4 other real players on the quest are so overpowered you don't get do…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is trash. if you want a decent MMO SAO game go play fatal bullet although that's died off with age. would not recommend even if its on sale wish i could refund it to buy something worth playing
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If I reviewed this on launch my only issue would've been the asking price out the door, but that comes with the assumption that they'd spare no effort in giving you consistent, high-quality content every other week or so to dip your fingers into and work towards at no extra cost. Well that was true up to the high-quality part, I'll just list what they did wrong since the game launched, what mistakes made it worse and what they honestly should have done. First of all the cosmetics are, most of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I should have listened to the reviews and done more research, but I got tempted by a low price, news of a "solo mode", and the general gameplay looking like a discount version of GBFR, don't make the same mistake I did. It starts innocently enough with the tutorial and the first story mission, right away you're gonna notice the same usual trappings of other BAMCO developed SAO games : Relentless bombardment of tutorial windows explaining one system after another before you have a chance to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its just disgusting to sell a full price game, just to have an in game shop and a freaking battle pass in it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →5/10 Wait for a deep sale and play with friends. The game offers a respectable experience when it comes to its roster of 20+ playable characters (31 now with DLC characters included). Some of them you need to play additional stories to unlock. Each role, from Rangers to Supports, have their own unique pull, and the 20-person raids are a genuine high point that provides a level of chaotic, coordinated fun IF you make an effort to play with what's left of the community. Additionally, it's great…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Straightforward online only dungeon crawl with many classic SAO characters to choose from, each character feels unique to play and can be customized with a variety of skins and accessories. There is a single player component with a story, but the main purpose of the game is to go online and play dungeon or boss raids. The game supports cross-play and only requires six human players to start a match, the rest of the slots will be filled with bots. I have played in several timezones and at…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game dead, idiots like me that bought the premium edition don't get character pass volume 2, barely any content basically the same game now as it came out which was barebones, insanely grindy (but free) battle pass. why can't we just get a SAO MMO though if we do it'll probably get monetized crazy.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I log in to a game I've paid money for to find seven different currencies a mobile game menu, with a battle pass and cash shop ... nah I'm good. This was legit meant to be a free to play game at some point.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thanks for adding Undine Asuna to the game through the paid store like 15 months after launch when the game is completely dead and you still have to play on 250+ping Asian servers with a hope of even matching with anyone on the same repetitive content that's been there since launch, what a joke. could've just added accessories for ALO Asuna and Kirito that could be also purchased with the tickets if you've saved enough but nah lets just make an alt of them and charge $20 each for em... I don't…

unlabelledView post →This is a massive downgrade from Alicization Lycoris. I own most of the SAO RPGs and while most of them are pretty similar, Alicization lycoris felt like they took a huge step forward. It's follow up game was more linear and felt like it went a bit backwards, but was still decent. Now we reach this Fractured Daydream and it's lost all the charms of previous games. You no longer feel like you are experiencing the SAO world like previous games. You drop in dungeons or raid bosses with other…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR - Don't waste your money on this game. If you REALLY want to try it buy it on sale other wise don't waste your money. Also make sure you check out the multiplayer modes before the steam refund period is up because that is where majority of the content is and the story mode alone is not worth getting the game for. This game had a lot of potential, but it really fell short. The devs have not added any truly new content to the game since launch. It is all re-colors and re-skins for outfits,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At the time of making this review, the game is in a dead state, with barley 450 players at peak, so if your a newcomers, your gonna be 90% in lobbies full with bots and reaching the max rank (130 at the moment) is gonna be a tedious and frustrating experience, and that if your playing in the Asia server, so your gonna have "fun" with ping issues because NA and Europe server are non-existent Don't bother buying the Premium or Deluxe edition, there not worth that money and your not getting all…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Magical experience at launch when the online was full of players but the game play loop doesn't change much from beginning to end and the rewards aren't worth the insane grind. On top of that, despite being sold as a premium game; there's Dailies, Weeklies, micro-transactions, and a seasonal battle pass. Commonly seen in mobile games in an attempt to keep you engaged. I agree with everyone saying this should have been a free-to-play title. I bought Fractured Daydream because Dimps is…

unlabelledView post →The amount of microtransactions in this game was ridiculous when I played, and then the open world segment where you can actually fight bosses and hunt for better gear was cool but I hated the fact that the entire thing was time limited... If you could remove the time constraint on that particular thing I'm pretty sure it'd be all right, but I know for sure having it be online only is ridiculous
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →listen don't get this game. like seriously don't. it's a good game and i mean GOOD. i don't think i've seen an sao game captivate me with it's game play since like... hollow realisation. but here's the thing... it's online only. this PAID GAME cannot be played without an internet connection even IN single player. not only that they treat this as a ftp game. there's micro transactions besides from it's dlc AND i'm pretty sure theres like a battle pass system. i dunno i haven't played much to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Imma just be honest, the gameplay is good but the game is not worth buying. Alot of the content in the game is just repeats of content you will have already played with a slightly higher difficulty level, the story is alright but ultimately is recycled multiplayer content for gameplay and the cosmetics in game are either free, mediocre reused assets from fatal bullet or decently pricey and not worth the money (sometimes just reused assets from fatal bullet again). On top of this buying the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a lover of SAO. This is your dreamboat. You ought to do research however as this game is still a live-service. Making it a complicated mixed-bag for some fans. Especially if you are not a console gamer. Don't expect full lobbies at this point in time. They may curate this game in the future I expect until the PS6 release. Please keep in mind it's keeping the Asian audience in mind. Reona is the star player along with Kirito. You get to hear her awesome music and concerts online. You also…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was an emotional buy and I shamefully regret to be customer of Bandai Namco. Story mode is okay even if this story isn't written for winning of Pulitzer prize, it's a random story I could write while eating my bun with marmalade to breakfast. Free roam: Totally unbalanced and too difficult for noobs. I guess devs should fight against level 1-18 mini boss as lvl 2 char, to know how sh.... this game is. You can't even reload your weapon or cast a spell because mobs move like vampires on…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know what everyones problem is. The game plays pretty much like most Online/Coop games similar to League, Overwatch and such. Hop in, run Quests, run Raid Bosses, do Story Missions, grind out cosmetic item drops, level up. I haven't seen a paid battle pass yet, but a free one with no options to pay for it, with nice rewards. And the other store items are cosmetics or material packs that are as pointless as Capcom microtransactions. Honestly, if you are simply after a game to play…

unlabelledView post →This game is good. Although there is so much currency and materials you have to collect that it feels like a mobile gacha. The best part of the game is the online multiplayer. You need 20 players to play online, but the game fills the missing players spots with computer, wich is good. So you can play online with 5 players. You unlock characters through the story mode. Overall the game felt easy. I beat that skeleton centipede boss a couple times and it was really easy. The story is kinda bad,…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I only bought this game because I liked fatal bullet. (Dimps also made fatal bullet) Im leaving the review positive because all of this just stems from comparing it to fatal bullet. things I dont like: enemies dont drop xp on death (its awarded via quests/missions). they only drop temporary buffs which arent fun because theyre temporary. weapon drops are based on player rank, you will never get a big upgrade, only constant small upgrades. a goblin you kill in 1 hit will drop the same…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this game at launch and refunded it. Control scheme is terrible, K&M controls are inconsistent across characters and controller button functions can't be re-mapped. That alone was enough for me to give up.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Im a huge fan of SAO i think despite its many many flaws there are good things that come from it. This game is visually very pleasing but its story and gameplay is pretty meh, dont get me wrong i like bad games but I feel like i cant recommend this game unless youre a die hard fan, just play the ggo one
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Online is dead expect if you can play on asia server and can play at peak hour. Also the game online is trash. And the difficulty of platinuming the game increases as the online on the asia server becomes empty. Maybe the story is """ok""" (first time reading a SAO game so <.<) Keep your money or expect to play only on story/score mode
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Apparently even just making a hub world is too much effort now.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I refunded the game after completing few story quest and trying out the exploration. I would say it has potential but with the consistent DC from the lobby and long queue for multiplayer, I would say its a hard pass. Also they have cash shop for cosmetics which I believe its just waste of money to invest in when there isn't any solid player base. If this is just a free to play game or at least sell 20 USD, I would reconsider and playing it longer.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got baited by group of friends to get this. Went in blind thinking that it might be as fun as Fatal Bullet back in 2017. Boy was I wrong. Just get GranBlue Fantasy Relink instead.
