31 of 31 · most liked firstAfter playing the demo I waited for this for so long.... and the full game surpasses my expectations. More enemy types and mechanisms and more brain racking to finish a mission. Also if you played the demo, the full game lets you CARRY OVER YOUR SAVE FILE. Awesome. So what's this game? Well in addition to the descriptions above I must say, the AIs can be pretty aggressive... not knowing the map fully on first tries, you are prone to die a lot. (remember: your hon gauge fills up when newly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wonhon: A Vengeful Spirit manages to acquire a certain desired length in the stealth genre with its decent atmosphere and supernatural mechanics, but it robs the concept with a plot and dialogues that aren't very favorable for a striking debut. If you have a passion for the stealth genre, I highly recommend it as a game to pass the time, but otherwise you won't be tarnishing the memorable dark dosages.

Wonhon: A Vengeful Spirit ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wonhon: A Vengeful Spirit is a brand new alt-historical, paranormal, stealth-action thriller. Wonhon is an alternative take on history and sets itself up in 1920 Korea. You play as Wonhon, our young heroine who has come back from the dead to exact revenge after a deal with the angel of death itself. Plot: Set in an…

Master the mechanics by possessing enemies to complete objectives, throwing grenades and more. [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/35180752-3-point-play/] Follow our curator for similar games

This same girl can also see ghosts in a cemetery. Then comes the grocery shopping. Every ghost will ask this girl to do something. Saving one person potentially but mainly killing the enemy soldiers. This is a story of vengeance. And some sort of memory duty. Where it lacks and none the less is in the way it is presented. Same passage to the cemetery after all short scenes. Go to the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wonhon has a unique concept and conveys the feeling that you are a powerful spirit while being fragile at the same time. I am not too familiar with the genre and appreciated that I could retry missions in rapid succession and that the game offered me to play them with less enemies after failing a couple of times. The visuals are very atmospheric, I loved the rain and thunder. I'm looking forward to see more of the developer!

It plays out as an isometric puzzle game that requires a tactical approach. The only way you can fight is to possess the bodies of your enemies, but you have limited spirit energy to maintain either possession or a ghost form that lets you move through objects. If you get spotted in your fragile reanimated human body, you die quickly. While there's no flashy…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wonhon: A Vengeful Spirit is a good, simple game. I think it has a few flaws, but I still consider it a good stealth action experience. Any fan of tactical stealth games looking for a challenge on a budget, and anyone who is a fan of cliche ghost stories, would enjoy picking this one up. The core of the gameplay is simple, but tightly built and excellent. You are a young woman brought back from the dead to enact bloody vengeance on an invading army. By sneaking up behind enemies, you can…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"...the main idea of being a stealth/action game leaning into the paranormal with poltergeist-like puppeteering of adversaries, each with diverse abilities, is excellent." "It’s a real shame that the 5-hour playthrough of the full experience doesn’t really ever diverge from what players are essentially doing in the demo because the core concept is just so damn cool." 5/10 Full review at https://darkzero.co.uk/game-reviews/wonhon-a-vengeful-spirit-pc-review/…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quick review: Okay, so this game is definitely worth buying since there are not many quality stealth-action indie games on Steam. At first, I was kinda angry about it because of the controls, but we people get used to things very quickly, right? And it’s actually not that annoying. I enjoyed the general game colors, even though not many people are probably gonna like it. Gameplay: The gameplay is pretty simple to get. You get a mission from the ghost, and you complete the mission from the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was captivated by the E3 presentation so much that I had to play. I love horror, especially eastern stuff like Fatal Frame, so I might be a bit biased. It's a fun game, but quite repetitive. There are a lot of bumps that I'll explain, but nothing to serious to stop you from playing. It's significantly easier than it looks, even offering to replay missions with fewer enemies when you die often, and never (visibly) penalizing you for it. Much of the game consists of three different types of…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Alright, so the game-play is fun enough, i liked the inspiration from the korean occupation by japan (which was a dark time in korean history)The powers are alright, and the challenge modes were fun.Although; The immortal enemies are tedious and i really did not enjoy that part, at all. But overall the game was okay, but not for the price. I would 100% get it on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →+ Stealth + Replayability value + Speedrun capability + Internal speed competition of completing missions with other players + Several game modes to unlock + The military conflict atmosphere + Gloomy art design - Inconvenient controls for PC users - Short story (but that is balanced by replayability) - Gloomy art design
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wonhon is closer to reality when it comes to controls and the way the game is structured even with all paranormal in the game. Your character dies very fast and all you can rely on is your senses when it comes to stealth. But the more you dabble into the ghost and mystic part of the game, the more you see, that there is something else to the game, something hidden. In that sense game is a lot like a box with hidden compartments (or older games where you open new totally different content just…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Personally, I was very hooked by the fact that the game raises important social problems such as domestic violence, child abuse, and the cruelty of war. Since I prefer to follow the plot of the game, I’m not so picky about the gameplay mechanics and was especially pleased to play the game not only in a stealthy way, since I have some difficulties with this, it's much easier for me to simply kill enemies and dive further into the characters' stories. The levels are similar to each other, but…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Definitely a fun game. I thought it was a really unique concept for a stealth game. It had enjoyable but challenging missions, good use of audio elements and did a great job at balancing the dark theme with the stealth-strategy gameplay. Great value overall.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →short game. about 3 hrs to complete. kind of repetitive, not bad but not good, its a fine game but get it on sale, about 80% or so. the thin is the strategy, just distract, run around, to leave all the guards/soldiers on a side (if you cant kill them). then rescue/pick whatever mission is and go the the exit. Bosses the same.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wonhon: A Vengeful Spirit is a dark supernatural stealth game that combines tactical infiltration with Korean folklore and an alternate version of 1920s Korea. Developed by BUSAN SANAI GAMES and published by SuperGG.com, it follows a murdered young girl who receives another chance to walk among the living after making an agreement with Jeoseung Saja, the God of Death. Her return comes with two purposes: punish those responsible for her death and help other spirits resolve the unfinished matters…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No there's no particular reason. I also want to make a separate post that properly introduces the game to people. It's called Wonhon. It's available on steam. Feel free to share it. I hope people enjoy it as much as I did.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked the main gameplay mechanic with morphing to other bodies, not only because it's something different but also because the game did it well to not let it be too repetetive from start to end.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short stealth game. 10 bucks is a bit much, there are other indie stealth games with much more muscle for similar price, but I really liked the concept. Being set in the Japanese ocupation of Korea, playing as a spirit wanting revenge... it's not something you see every day. The level design isn't super intricate, but it's one of those cases where the developers let the mechanics speak for themselves and they do a pretty good job even with some jank here and there. I think at some point they…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a bit of a toss up for me. I'm about half way through the game after about an hour and I don't really feel the urge to continue but the hour I played was enjoyable enough. This is an isometric stealth game where you control a ghost girl who can possess enemy guards to take them out. The theme is one of revenge as you assist ghosts who were killed by an army by completing tasks for them. A lot of the reviews mention clunky controls, I didn't think they were clunky. I feel like the dev…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →can't even get pass the prologue, the game stuck without any option to choose, fix it pls
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's a fun game, first time to ever play as a Korean Female Restless Ghost, with your revenge your main goal. basically WonHon is a normal village girl whose family and village were burned to ashes. she can't go on to paradise because her "HAN" the wrath of the raging spirit unable to move on, is too strong, so you make a deal with death. Wonhon will help the spirits around to find peace; making Death's job easier, and in exchange Death shall allow her to go to heaven alongside her parents.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked the idea of a stealth game revolving around being a ghost. Unfortunately the optimal way to play the game isn't by using stealth. However, I still had fun with this game. Each level is a puzzle where you have to figure out the optimal way to complete your objective from eliminating all enemies, to picking up an item, to escort missions. Mileage may vary on whether you enjoy the escort missions, but I enjoyed the challenge and your ghost powers complement those missions very well.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome stealth-tactics game with varied gameplay! As you progress through the game, new complex types of enemies appear that you need to adapt to. Also love it when games let you replay specific levels to improve the score, find hidden things, etc. Definitely a must-try for stealth games fans.
