27 of 27 · most liked firstI want to express my sincere gratitude for your time and consideration as I share a piece of my heart with you. Over the past three years, I poured my soul into crafting this game, all while balancing the responsibilities of raising a child, working part-time to make ends meet, and sacrificing sleep. Reaching this point has been a personal triumph, and your positive review serves as a comforting acknowledgment of the effort invested. However, I acknowledge that not everyone may find the same…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Paid reviews, game is genuinely awful. Feels like someone messed around with Game Maker for a bit, didn't scrap what they did and remake it after learning, then built on top of their beginner project. The artwork is at least good, sprites not so much. Avoid. Dev also left a positive review for his game? Lol. Edit: thanks for the response, but I'd be a bit more fair if you'd not paid for reviews. Just shows lack of confidence in your product. Seems a bit insincere sob-storyish too since I'm a…

(ฅ'ω'ฅ) "This game is a retro-style ninja platformer featuring one-on-one versus many battles and dynamic boss fights. Set in a unique cyberpunk city, it welcomes players to a world brimming with intense ninja action." Intro : Ninja Issen is a game that blends the nostalgia of classic 8-16 bit era ninja titles with a futuristic, cyberpunk setting. Developed by a single person, this game has captured the attention of the gaming community for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Action platformer + combos + graphics/music = A retro Ninja Gaiden with electrifying music and killer moves. Slash, dash, double jump, climb walls and more through levels. A must have for this genre. [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/35180752-3-point-play/] Follow our curator for similar games

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game. Full of spectacular action, fun humor. Retro art is cool, and the production is colorful. You can play various games. Difficulty level to challenge.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a cyber ninja action platformer, in the vein of shinobi, hagane, strider, etc. It's fairly competent with an ok moveset, but really the games visual presentation and clarity is an absolute mess. It's inconsistent what enemies or attacks have lingering hurtboxes or contact damage, and often times you'll have a hard time even seeing what platform you can jump to occasionally. Also, there's too much dialogue for this kind of game, let me be a cyber ninja already.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only on Chapter 3, but the bosses are challenging and fun, and the style switch is fire. Look forward to it. Will update later on.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow, this is an absolute HEAVYWEIGHT in the platforming category. Not only does it drive inspiration from such classics as Ninja Gaiden, Shinobi, Super Mario World, BattleToads, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1 & 2, Sonic and other games but it is a PERFECT mixture of cyberpunk and technology, ORIGINALITY and inspiration, retro and new (and FUTURE). I found the game to be a great balance between ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, this is HARD to literally jumping up and down when I killed a boss that I was struggling…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a retro ninja action game. You can defeat many enemies at once using various skills. The cool and refreshing action gives you joy. I love the graphics and music. I was surprised to see a twist in the story. I was even more surprised because this was an indie game made by a single person. It was a choice without regrets. I recommend this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →AWESOME OST. (as good as video on store page) Great pixel art and style. Smooth. Balanced (not too punishing, not too easy) I thought the full price might have been a bit high but it's perfect where it stands. Some hitboxes seem larger or last longer than they look, but most are done well. edit: Forgot to mention the camera isn't the best for placement but it's more cinematic.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome game and the soundtrack for Chapter 4 is amazing. The combat is frantic at times and sometimes you have to pace yourself and take it slow when it comes to dodging traps. This game is akin to Shinobi but on steroids. I enjoyed playing it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A cool 21st century version of the original Ninja Gaiden. The smooth controls and actions are impressive. However, the difficulty of the level is also retro, so it feels a bit difficult. If you die multiple times, you find yourself tapping the gamepad over and over again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This has been such a fun game! The inspiration from early games such as Ninja Gaiden and Shinobi totally shine through. Music in the levels have been great and one of the big aspects i appreciate of the sound design is just how chunky attacks sound when they connect. They aren't overwhelming or inappropriate but definitely add to the cyberpunk feel of the game but it makes hits feel satisfying. Gameplay is smooth and intuitive and the game is not overly handholdy. Most of the combat feels…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game reminds me of Shinobi+Ninja Gaiden, but with extra mechanics. love the cut scene art too. Only thing i dislike is buying digital games. Im a collector I prefer physical copies but its still a good game. Make a physical copy stop being Lazy!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow! It’s a well-made masterpiece that smells of retro from old ninja games. Although it’s still in the early stages, I’m having fun. It reminds me of the games I used to play when I was a kid holding onto a game console in the 90's. Oh, you can turn off the retro filter in the options. I prefer it turned off.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Inspiration from Ninja Gaiden Nostalgic and viby Hits the spot
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ninja Issen is a stylish, fast-paced action platformer developed by ASTEROID-J and published by CFK Co., Ltd., and it immediately distinguishes itself through its striking retro-futuristic identity. Set in a world that blends traditional shinobi mysticism with neon-lit cyberpunk machinery, the game follows a lone ninja thrust into a violent technological uprising. Instead of relying on lengthy exposition, the story unfolds through atmosphere—ominous stage design, looming mechanical threats, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sadly I cannot recommend this Ninja game at all. It's an 8-Bit style retro game which is heavily based of the old classics from the Nes/Master System era. Whilst the comic sections are nice I found the rest of the game very lacking in style, polish, substance or fun. It's an OK game but in all honesty I could recommend so many other better ninja games than this one. A full review can be seen here : https://youtu.be/gZX8qLMeguk?si=EphaZqWwZw-Sko-l
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good Game for retro
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A ninja platformer that's rough around the edges, but still charming. Some notable issues are some player animation lockouts, and the camera being way too zoomed in influencing problems with combat and platforming. The skills you get to use are pretty fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game eventhough the fact that I got an F score on the majority of stages proves that I suck at it. From it's fluid gameplay to it's beautiful TMNT 2003 style comic cutscenes, everything about Ninja Issen is a treat, well worth the low price of admission
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little action platformer (similar to some classics of the genre), with some nice ideas, but on the easier side. The game is very forgiving , has a lot of checkpoints and isn't punishing at all. While the overall art and spritework is nice, I have some issues with it in several levels. Sometimes there is to much on sceen, it's not clear what background, forground and what are projectiles. Also the bosses while most are very easy because you can just spam your specials, design wise most…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game needs an art director really bad, it's hard to tell what's a wall and what's background. The mechanics feel really stiff and have no juice. The screen scrolling is messed up and results in a lot of needless damage and deaths just because you can't see anything. That said, there's 60% of a great game here. I wish they'd make it 100% but I don't think that's going to happen.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Clunky controls, poor iconography, poor level design
