My 2nd Quell game. Maybe the hardest, longest of this journeys yet. It really takes time to beat it and its really challenging to find the best solutions of many levels, sometimes with 4 orbs where you need to find out when where, what to do before and what after, 1 wrong move can destroy everything. The game is really amazing, only what i miss are 5 Trading Cards and MORE steam acheivements, steps achievements for gems, pearls, time items on the way to get all, or time achievements for playing…

I love the Quell games. They're just challenging enough so that I don't get bored but easy enough so that a ret*ard like me doesn't get discouraged. Quell is my personal favorite game series. It represents exactly what I'm looking for on Steam: low-commitment self-paced brainteasers with a calming aesthetic. I always recommend it to friends. In more detail, the game is about 20% puzzle game, and 80% interactive art with an absolutely stunning ambiance. I was a bit skeptical at first, since…

Quell Memento is the third game in the Quell series, and is unique in several ways. Some of the things it includes with the two previous Quell games are the amazing level of polish, and the spectacular soundtrack. This game also retains the challenging puzzle aspect of the other games, but manages to add so much new content that it feels like a whole new world. In Quell Reflect several new mechanics had been added over the original game, Quell Memento takes those mechanics and multiplies them…

If you have played Quell or Quell reflect then all you need to know is - This game is of the same quality of the other games but longer - There's new elements and more puzzles. The puzzles are not a copy of the old ones - This game takes a couple of seconds to start. Something that I rarely noticed in the other games You don't need to have played the previous games. You can start with this one. If possible, though, I'd recommend playing the whole collection in the proper order: Quell, Quell…

"The Modern Quell of 4 Seasons" The Quell collection is a triplet of decent challenging puzzle games. I recommend to buy all three parts in a bundle on sale. Basically you shift orbs throught logical buildup labrinths to collect all pearls with a limit of moves. In higher levels there are added some elements like poisoned orbs, spikes or portals. You can also get stuck in infinite loops. Each level contains a hidden jewel you must find in a second playthrough. The controls are sometimes buggy…

This is not only *by far* the best game in the Quell trilogy, but also one of the best puzzle games I've ever played. For the first time in the trilogy I was actually looking into getting perfect moves for all puzzles, and in order to 100% the game I only had to get help on a dozen levels or so. Memento has the most puzzles, the most interesting puzzles, the most 'ah AH!' moments, the most mechanics, the most diversity in using those mechanics, the most songs, the most details, I could go on…

84 / 100 Quell Your Puzzle Addiction? (A Quell Series review) Slide, slide.. slide away many enjoyable hours being challenged by some deceptively well designed, compact puzzles in the Quell Series. Your goal is to collect all the Pearls in the minimum number of moves & as a bonus, locate the hidden jewel found on each level. Simple right? Well the "Quells" can be deceiving .. as you will quickly find out. Including the original Quell & the sequels, Quell Reflect & Quell Memento, each…

Rather than just adding more puzzles that are exactly the same as the puzzles from its prequels, Quell Memento manages to add several new fun game mechanics. While fun and innovative, these mechanics are still entirely in line with the core of the previous games: moving a little ball around the screen to accomplish the level objectives. The attempt to add a storyline to the game fell rather flat for me, but it is easy to ignore this in favour of the great puzzles that this game has to offer.

The first Quell was simple and it was good. If I couldn't solved a level in the optimal number of moves, it was because I screwed up. In an effort to add variety, Quell Memento adds a number of new gameplay elements. Some of them work well but many of them don't. Some just add complexity, but not in a good way. It's easy to make an puzzle game with every increasing complexity that is hard to solve. The tricky part is designing something relatively simple, yet so clever that solving it is a…

Unlike the first two "Quell" games ("Quell" and "Quell Reflect"), I'm going to not recommend "Quell Memento." Like them, the game is beautifully done. Unfortunately, the developer continued the trend of adding more and more to the game and ended up over-complexifying it. As Scotty said in "The Search for Spock:" "The more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain." And that's what happened here. "Quell" was mostly fine with just a bit that was too complex (the…

An amazingly thought out puzzle game, it is like nothing I've ever seen. If you like a true challenge, where you have to do every move right, but without the pressure of time, definitely get this. Not only that but the artwork, audio, and even the storyline all go together to create what I believe should be considered a masterpiece. The Quell Series just keeps getting better and better, perhaps they will astound me yet again with a fourth ;)

TL;DR: Not recommending because the changes to the third game in the series make it more tedious and not in a fun way. While I do recommend the first two or the collection, as a stand alone I'd pass. I'm going to review Quell, Quell Reflect, and Quell Memento all in one because there's a lot of comparing I'm going to do. Essentially Quell and Quell Reflect are the same. The layout, menu, feel, goals are all the same. If you have one and loved it then get the other. The puzzles themselves…

A good and fun puzzle game with a bigger variety of levels compared to [url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/MouseWithBeer/recommended/344480?snr=1_5_9__402]Quell and [url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/MouseWithBeer/recommended/348430?snr=1_5_9__402]Quell Reflect. The UI is also reworked compared to them but still annoying with way too many submenus.

Bought all three Quell's in a bundle pack. And so glad I did. I've now tried them all out and love them. All three are excellent. But in this one the speaker kind of breaks the relaxation. However, you can turn off voice without turning off anything else. I like that the it gives you total control over each aspect of the game. I'm now officially addicted to the Quell games. For the price fo the bundle, it's well worth it. I lose track of time while I'm playing, it's so relaxing and engrossing.

Quell Memento is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as if it was a real PC game (it's not)... it's a cash grab from greedy mobile devs. The game The game is a very simple pathing puzzle game. Quell is a series of puzzle games with simple rules. One controls orbs through verious logic labyrinths to complete some tasks in as little amount of moves as possible. Quell Memento is the most complex game of the Quell series. It introduces a simple, but touching story. With solving levels an environment of first met ruined house slowly changes. Tasks to complete are not only collecting all pearls and finding a hidden gem but also turning lights on, lighting up cristals and looking for…

The third game in the Quell series, Quell Memento offers 144 new puzzles (nearly double the 84 of the two previous games). While Quell Reflect introduced a couple of new puzzle mechanics to the tile-shifting gameplay, Quell Memento expands on this much further, with many more new puzzle type, used both on their own and in combination. As examples of these new mechanics, levels might not require all of the 'light' blocks in a level to be 'turned on' by passing next to them, or feature orbs that…

Similar to Quell: Reflect, I didn't play Memento until years after I played the original. The third installment adds plenty of new mechanics for players to challenge, making even those familiar with prior installments look deeper into potential solutions and secrets. That said, while I expected favorable gameplay, I didn't expect the underlying story. I could tell that there was something going on within Quell and Reflect, but as everything finally came together in Memento, I couldn't help…

Quell Memento is a puzzle game with narrative elements. Though the narrative portion of this game is pretty inconsequential, the puzzles themselves make a solid time. The game gets quite hard for the latter levels, but a comprehensive hint system balances things out for those who wish to utilize it. It even goes so far as to make the game too easy if abused, so it's up to the player to restrain themselves. Overall, this is a decent value for the price, especially if on sale. Quell Memento's…

Nice one. Casual enough yet forcing you to really use your brain, mostly in quite a polite and clever way though. And not all the time, which is good. Beautiful. Immersive as much as a puzzle game can be. Faking to be much harder than it really is at times and always being done with it before it gets annoying, so far ( (haven't completed it 100% yet but it's unlikely to be going to break this rule). And there's two more of its kind by the same name and the same developer, which is also good.…

In terms of simple puzzle games, it's as good as it gets. The puzzles start easy, but later become more complicated as new mechanics/objects are introduced. Some levels will require combining different mechanics. Hidden gems make the player look at the puzzle from a different perspective, and clock levels are an extra challenge for "100%" people. On top of all that, beautiful, relaxing music. Memento is my favourite, but other ones are great too.
