The basic premise of unWorded is to form pictures from letters, based on the clues offered within a connected story. And a larger story is told by the various, seemingly unconnected…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cool game, made with love. Sometimes really tricky puzzles. An interesting way to make pictures out of letters. For that price a must buy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't really have much to say about this game. It's not a great game, but the concept was interesting and just challenging enough to be kind of fun. The color and sound design were nice, and I think the minimalistic style worked for what they were going for. It looked really polished except for some of the typing errors that really stood out. For example, there were one or two "i" that weren't capitalized. Honestly, the story was the weakest part. If you want to experience the mechanics of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting concept and smooth gameplay, however it's not for me. I'm not sure who it's for. Stories feel too angsty for children but the gameplay feels too simplistic for adults. Also very slow paced. Fine if you look at it as an artwork rather than a game I guess.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a easy no from me first the "music" if you can classify 4 notes on a 3 second loop "music" (not even joking I literally counted one of them) is super annoying and you can't even mute it and listen to your own music on your computer second while the putting things together is the interesting thing about the game it turned out to be super tedious and annoying for a few reasons 1) many things are so poorly visualized that I didn't even know what I had made until sounds or other visuals…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ostensibly a typing style game, but really just a sappy soap opera with some moving of letters/shapes around to create other shapes. The 1.8 hours I took to complete the game is really all that there is. No real replay value, a plot that has no real surprises nor reason to re-experience, just blah. I'm sure I'm a cold-hearted meanie, but I'm glad I didn't pay anywhere near full-price for this. Not at all recommended except for those...well, I have no idea who would want to play this game,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Final Verdict: Jury deadlocked. Buy on deep sale only. This is a nice little game. The problem is that it basically feels like a mobile $1.99 USD game. This game has very limited content in both quantity and quality. The puzzles are nice (casual difficulty). The story is barebones with little depth. The ending is kind of foreseeable and since it's rushed towards that end point, lacks the punch that it should have had. The whole story is told solely via text with some rhymes. The graphics &…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →More of a game mechanic concept than a game. The idea seems cool at first but quickly deteriorates into "well how does the puzzle creator want this obviously correct solution to look like?". There's no universally accepted symbols for most items, so you put some letters together and it looks vaguely correct, but it's not the solution the developers intended for you to have, so now you have to shuffle stuff around to get what they were trying to convey. Do not go into this expecting a puzzle…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fascinating game with an engaging story. Some of the puzzles were frustrating though. You could have a correct picture, but made with the smallest incorrect spacing and could therefore not progress until you made the necessary tweak. The animations and audio really brought the game to life for me though and I overall enjoyed the experience of this short, but very interesting story-telling game. I would recommend to purchase on a sale. Not really quite worth spending too much money on for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great puzzles and music, subpar story. I've got this game from reddit secret santa. With over 700 backlog, I felt obligated to play it. This game is very short but interesting. Some of the puzzles were very clever and interesting, some were impossible for me and I had to look up a guide. It took me 1 hour and half to finish but I enjoyed the time and it had good music. Some good writing here and there but overall the story if forgettable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite the intriguing little gem it is. Surprisingly short, yet unexpectedly deep. In this game, you navigate a fragmented narrative by piecing together letters to form images that reveal the story of an Author’s life. As you explore the 5 books crafted by the author, you find yourself in some quiet but captivating journey of creativity, loss and imagination. I wish there were more books, more puzzles to solve and a larger story to process. It is one of those hidden gems of a game that you find…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the concept of this game, and the story(ies?) is presented well. The minimal design also complements the stories perfectly. You work through five different mini-stories that help the main story progress, and everything is quite abstract and deep. The implementation isn't perfect, though. The puzzles can be rather annoying because things are so abstract that you don't even know what you're making until the game accepts your solution and animates the object. You have to be very precise…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mixed feelings on thumbs up or down on this. I don't like giving negative reviews on games made with thought and heart. Which i feel this is. But - on the other hand - I didn't enjoy it. At all. And I like words. A lot. In books, in life, in games. But was frustrated and disappointed here. So... I'm leaving a thumbs up on this but with a warning: The idea here is really neat. And a backstory with depth and feeling. And clean, minimalist visuals. But you may find it frustrating and awkward.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not recommended for COVID-times due to the subject matter of the five stages of grief and losing a lived one. I thought a puzzle game would lift my spirits up during these times. The story and music's very French. This plays like eating an actual bento made by a depressed French artist. If this was made by a Japanese developer the last puzzle would actually "work" like I expected it .
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting concept and beautiful in its own way, but presentation is lackluster at best and I couldn't care less about the main drama and stories in the chapters. They are serious and talk about destructive human tendencies, but the only thing I did want past second chapter is to click through them as fast as possible. So, I... don't really know. I guess I'll flip a coin and recommend it in case it's heads. DuckDuckGo.com says: tails Flipped an actual coin: tails Rolled a die: ⚄ (5) Well,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very nice game! It's kind of like playing Pictionary or any game where you have to draw a word or phrase. The challenge is using what's there to create what the sentence is describing. Enjoying this plenty!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was looking for some new relaxing (but still interesting) puzzle games, and this one sounded like it took a unique approach. I love the concept of making one thing out of other things (i.e. objects out of letters). The objects even become functional, which is a nice touch. What I did not expect was to be emotionally grabbed by this seemingly simplistic game. I won't give it away, but the ending hit harder than I ever would've expected pre-purchase. The game was short, under 90 minutes to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →unWorded tiene UNA idea divertida: crear dibujos usando letras.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, gave this narrative puzzle game called "unWorded" a try. Must say that it was an interesting experience. It felt unique but a bit frustrating since you really have to try quite a bit to figure out the correct placement of letters to form the shape you need. Satisfying to do, sure, tho I also have a bit of a bitter taste haha. I wouldn't recommend it to just anyone tbh. If you have the patience for a puzzle that won't guide you by the hand, then by all means give it a go. The story itself…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have finished this one today. A good atmosphere in the game and a unique concept, but it's very irritating that you have to move/connect the symbols too punctual to each other. One of the last puzzles to to with bulb is too difficult in my opinion to do without a hint on a walkthrough. So that's the main reason I don't recommand this one... The stories are also a little bit difficult to understand very good, however I can read English pretty well. The stories are too vague to give you some…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →unWorded is a distinctive puzzle adventure developed by Bento Studio and published by Plug In Digital that builds its entire identity around a remarkably creative idea: a world made entirely from letters, words, and typography. Instead of relying on traditional characters, environments, or objects, the game transforms language into the foundation of both its visual design and gameplay. Set within the fractured memories of a hospitalized children's book author, the experience combines…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →unWorded is a short but unforgettable narrative puzzle game that turns letters into shapes and words into memories. Its minimalist black-and-white art style and atmospheric soundtrack create a poetic, almost dreamlike experience. What starts as simple wordplay slowly becomes an emotional journey about life, loss, and imagination. It’s unique, clever, and deeply moving proof that games can truly be art.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →unWorded is a nice and somewhat disturbing puzzle game where you assemble the shapes of letters into the outlines of various items, and are rewarded with progressing the narrative. The special effects are fun, but the music is lackluster. Could be executed better, but it is fairly engaging.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice little game, sometimes it is not clear what you are supposed to make, but the hints are helpful.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →unWorded is a groundbreaking Narrative Puzzle Game that constructs its world entirely from letters. Players are invited to unleash their creativity by combining letters to form objects, all while unraveling the tale of a writer who finds himself in a hospital following a grave accident. Rarely does a game emerge that possesses such depth, intrigue, emotional resonance, and originality that it prompts reflection on its lasting impact. UNWORDED stands as perhaps the second game in over three…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's an alright game. Sadly no achievements. Each "book" takes about 20 mins to complete There are 5 Chapters: Book 1 has 3 chapters Book 2 has 7 chapters Book 3 has 9 chapters Book 4 has 7 chapters Book 5 has 8 chapters
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A self proclaimed "Narrative Puzzle Game" that disappoints across all three categories, at least when played in English. Maybe in French, the story is a bit more comprehensible, the written clues are relevant, and the rhyming couplets consistently rhyme. Or maybe not. I often knew exactly what object I needed to make, but my nonsense symbols weren't arranged into the precise abstract art the designer had in mind. The glacial transitions from text box to text box account for at least as much…

What I like most about this game is the artistic way it creates puzzles using letters as building blocks It feels like you’re drawing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a simple game. That's the only nice thing I can say. Too many things about this "game" were not good to list. Story 1/5 Puzzles 3/5 Sound 4/5 Graphics 5/5 UnRemarkable, unExciting, and unDerwhelming mix of letter jumble drawing puzzle and weak storytelling. It's clean, but it's unCoherent as a written art game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very different and unusual game. It is relaxing and enjoyable. I could envision it winning some awards.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very interesting and unusual concept SPOILER ALERT and deeply emotional. Would I play it again? Probably not unless there is a sequel. Thought provoking.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kübler-Ross' stages of grief, minimalistic design, minimalistic music, poetic, a lot of letters... 90 minutes of gameplay. Nice experience, the length of the game is optimal, bought on sale for 1 euro (which seems like a reasonable price for such game).
