60 of 169 · most liked firstUnfortunately waiting for the game to come around didn't help. I don't have a new PC, however, the game ran better 2 years ago than it does now. Back then I enjoyed, but now it makes me dizzy. But what really makes me advice against buying this or any other from this publisher: they just announced Ultimate Fishing Simulator 3 (UFS3). Number 2 hadn't been finished, and they were working on the third one. How do we know that? Because as of today, June 19th, 2025, they already have a demo, for…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Man..spending almost 45 minutes trying to catch a catfish that was literally close enough for me to pick it up when it took the bait is infuriating. I was using a level 10 Rod, level 12 reel, level 10 line and a spinning lure in Kiel Canal and the fish never seem to get tired. The fish shot to 2000 ft out, gave me 200 ft, then shot up to 3000, gave me another 200, then shot up to 5000 ft out and was going from 5000 to 4700 and would never seem to get tired. I fought with this thing for 45…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's pretty much like real life, I can't catch a single damn thing and hold on to anything. Whether it's a woman, a relationship or a fish. A pretty realistic and accurate simulator I would say 2/10.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is still full of unrealistic physics like lures clipping through walls and giant splashes when casting, and lures also fall through the bottom of the map.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first one is far superior, the graphics on this are bit cleaner but everything else is inferior.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had a chance to be something great. If only devs decided to listen to the quite large, and engaged beta tester base. But no, quick buck is better than doing something good. Update: dev removes inconvenient forum questions asking what has changed since I played a year earlie. The answer obviously being - nothing. Nothing changed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just another reskin in a very familiar lineup. Ultimate Games doesn’t really make fishing sequels, they make the same fishing game with different labels. How many mediocre fishing brands can they keep pushing before it just becomes obvious what this is? Each one feels more like iteration than improvement, with more already on the way. UFS2 is just the latest entry in that pattern. Slightly different packaging, same core experience. If you’ve played one of their fishing sims, you already know…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I honestly don't understand what's going on with these games. I bought the first one and generally liked it. Then I bought this second one in Early Access and, to put it mildly, I did not like it. For more than a couple of years now, I've kept seeing updates for both games, along with content drops for this one. Now they're saying this game is complete, even though it's still nowhere near as good as the first one. At the same time, they're still working on a (they say nearly completed)…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played this game for a long time and went all the way through every map. The positives first: 1) Fish hook pretty quickly. 2) Maps are diverse and so are fish. 3) Error 404 additional reasons not found. On to the bad stuff: 1) Fish are VERY difficult to catch. Not the small stuff, those are fun and challenging. I fought a shark for an hour. 1 hour of my life before he swam all the way to the end of my line and I got fed up, turned my trim to 100% and broke him off. 2) The game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very buggy. every "update" they add or fix a feature but almost everytime something detrimental bugs out, ie, not being able to fast travel locations on a map, put your rod down, etc.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well... it feels like the game gets more bugged with every update. The ground feeder system is completely broken — I can’t even describe what’s going on with the rods when using more than one. Topwater lures go straight down into the water instead of floating. Fish jump out of the water like they’ve been shot from a catapult. On the new Alaska map, you can’t even use rod stands. There's also a weird input delay when casting — sometimes it takes several seconds before the cast actually happens.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 does not have a fishing minigame because it is a fishing *game*!! #ultimatefishingsimulator2 #ultimatefishingsimulator #gaming #videogames #fishing #fishingminigame
unlabelledView post →A game that was programmed by former android fart app developers. Graphics look like s h i t, game-play is s h i t, bugs galore. I wouldn't play this junk even if they gave me money to play it. Developers go back to your fart apps.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Genuinely bad Its a shame because the first game is great but this sequel just falls flat, controls are bad, the menu is bad (and a bit buggy) the graphics somehow look worse then the first game imo. I wanted to like this game but I cant get past its issues. Im just gonna go back to playing UFS1
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Doesn't even come close to the first game. I would highly recommend that instead of this one. The visuals, sounds, and gameplay are just terrible. This feels like a mobile game with PC controls.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its great game for .99 cents when its on sale but wouldnt pay full price XD
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not sure what happened here but its not good.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was wrong 2 years ago. FS2 at the moment seems to have withstood The Angler COTW as the best fishing game. Casual players may want to steer clear. Those who enjoy fishing IRL, This is probably your best choice Although any Steam user who has touched a fish is part of a very exclusive club...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is literally unfinished, tabs for classes of items that don't exist. The pacing is off so you're always strapped for cash until about level 18. Then you have all the money you need, but no avaliable upgrades for a long time between levels. It's like they thought they were building another DLC farm game and gave up and tried to make it a standalone part way through. It's worth the $1 sale, otherwise don't get it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No reason this game should be out of EA. It has more bugs than i know what to do with. New map Alaska is broken.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolute garbage, even worse than the first one, AND they completely changed the keybindings for the 2nd game, clearly bad developers and that's before you even look at the developers censorship of negative feedback in the discussions. What a mess, no wonder their games are on sale down to £1 each. Poorly optimised too just like the first game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dead game and junk. As for "UF3", yeah, even more junk. The $1.99 SALE? Go buy a coke instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Graphics: Beautiful, especially the water, but distant objects look low quality with weather set to Noon Audio: Not too bad; some sound is repetitive however (the reel noise has very little variation) PC Requirements: Fast Game Size: 36.56 gigabytes as of writing this Difficulty: Easy to learn / Hard to master Grind: None; you can progress quite quickly Price: Worth buying if its on sale (goes 85% off) Bugs: A lot of tiny bugs, but nothing game breaking or annoying. Rating: 8/10 I do have a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good looking scenery, lots of lures and poles and reels. not a perfect game but playable if you like fishing the easy way. you get the same kind of fight with a 12 inch pike as you do with a 5 pound bass...lol
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Compared to UFS1 its rotting fish. Bad menu, bad controls. How can they mess this up so badly
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do Not buy this put together junk until its free. I have waited for a fishing sim to have a trophy display system. This is the only thing in this game that somewhat works right. It looks nice but that's it. When you throw a lure it goes to the other side of the map. Pure Junk. They should be ashamed of themselves.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been playing roughly 4 hours at the time of this review and so far I like this game. Sure, it does have its problems, but I haven't hit anything that's game breaking. Also, this game is not pay to win like Planet Fishing is. There isn't a premium currency in sight in this game, afaik you can unlock everything with the in game currency which is earned through game play. Progress is a little slow at first until you get some levels and you can buy better fishing gear, then the bigger fish…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A cool game in which we have to explore the best fishing points on the planet and fish realistic species. Fishing can be done both alone and with friends, and various tournaments and daily trials will add excitement to our stay in the game. A large amount of fishing equipment, changing weather and time of day, as well as the ability to turn on a realistic mode, in which there are no tips, will test the skills of any player for strength. A pleasant visual style and excellent soundtrack will…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A horrible parody of a game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Undeveloped unoptimized garbage.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Laggy, unoptimized, just not ready yet.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm a pretty big fan of the first game, so I was very disappointed with the quality of this one. The controls feel much more clunky and less intuitive than the first Ultimate Fishing Simulator, and it doesn't run all that well with lower-end specs (a given, yes, but my pc can run many other better-looking games just fine). If you're looking for a good fishing game, just get the first one. Definitely do not buy this at full price if you're still considering it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very bugged and boring game, low mechanics, there are many better fishing games on steam even free2play ;]
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far the game seems good. Very realistic with the fishing equipment etc so if your a fisherman IRL then this game is for you. Some knowledge of how you actually fish would help hugely in this game as it is a Simulator but overall it is very good. Devs seem to be working hard on the game and fixing current bugs which is great so ignore the negative feedback as the game is a work in progress!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is ♥♥♥♥ play the other one
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the most uninteresting starts to a game ever, its confusing glitchy and after 40 minutes of messing about iv decided its just not worth my time, it doesent matter how many bells and whistles you add to a game if the basics are not there.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →you can spend 45 minutes fighting a 100+lb fish that breaks your gear, or 10 seconds reeling in a fish that weighs 3 lbs, all with the exact same setup, there is no in between. physics are janky graphics are not an upgrade, it was barely worth the $3 i spent on the summer of teams sale
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Buggy and unfinished,a real mess.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →-A lot of bugs -Bad UI designs -Poorly optimized
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →That shi is making my gpu sweat lije a mfin marathon runner. Optimization sucks. Gameplay 50/50. I’m using cheats to make it playable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game doesnt have active updates anymore since june 16 2025 not that good rather buy the first game wich is still activly updated
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Listen, for the price, this is a great game. I got it on sale. I got early demo access back in the day when this first went on Steam. Pros: Nice underwater vegetation. Fishing seems to work well. I was surprised that rods and equipment could actually break. Graphics look alright (keeping price in mind). But it is no UE5 style graphics. Levelling up system...I was suprised. Cons: Where are the boats? Why are the maps so small? The camera under water...whats the deal with that? Why can't I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to give this a try but the tutorial is so bad and gives you the wrong instructions. Feels like a demo. Controls are clunky. Rocks on the floor have no collision. I couldn't force myself to play any longer.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Shocking how bad this game is the UI the controls and everything its so bad which is so sad because the first one which is super old somehow looks and feels better I hope they fix this game because atm it is unplayable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DONT BUY this game is actually so bad js get the first one its so much better
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is worst than part one. First of all. One had more features and more fishing. Like fly fishing and ice fishing. In here, none of that. Plus the dumbest thing happened and it keeps happening over and over. I'll reel the fish all the way to me, then the prompt to hold right click to land the fish will pop up but then goes away and I can't reel in anymore. So I couldn't land the fish. So I left and won't be playing anymore. I'll stick to Fishing Planet. One, its got better mechanics and its…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't bother. Just play the first one. Much better game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Literally unplayable. Horrible graphical bug. Idk if it's just incompatible with Intel GPUs but I just instantly get a black screen every time I load into the map.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is so so bad. Graphics are bad. Not like low quality but like glitched. I could not even tollerate game for 2 mins. Honestly it's bad. I would not pay $2 for this game. Part one is a little dated but actually a fine game. How were the devs this incompetent.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 is, at its core, a very good fishing game. When it works, it captures the relaxing rhythm that makes fishing sims appealing in the first place: the quiet pacing, the anticipation of a bite, the satisfaction of landing a fish, and the overall feeling that you can just zone out for a while and enjoy the experience. There’s clearly a solid foundation here, and you can see the developers had a strong vision for the game. The atmosphere is good, the concept is strong,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Compared to UFS1, this game is incomplete and lackluster. Plays more like a tech demo for a remaster of UFS1, but the actual remaster is free if you own the first game. Just buy that instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Worse than UFS 1 in everyway, Im glad that I only paid $3 for this lol
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[Edit at 11 hours: The game does get better but core features still arent great. The main issues of the previous version down below still apply to various extents.] Im going to be brutally honest here. The game isnt worth your time. I bought it when it was discounted to 1 euro and while I dont regret it, I really dont see myself playing it at any point in the future. The game has zero realism and thats unacceptable for a simulator. Especially one which is called ultimate fishing simulator. In…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty, but awful to play. Nothing about this game is intuitive or fun. It certainly is pretty.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game for fishermen during bad weather.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For some reason this game gets alot of bad reviews from my experience and having multiple years of real life fishing on top of playing this game it is extremely realistic with having to control drag and and the speed u reel aswell as the fish fighting only problem I have with this game is that its a bit hard to understand at first and the tutorial isnt that great it helps with playing the ingame controls but with making rigs and shopping as well the fish fight harder than they do in real life…
