Also can hang out and chat with others while fishing; typically there's a few people online in the Betty map. Can pair with Xbox controller via wifi dongle. The drag system is completely broken which was apparent the moment I hooked a fish. First of all, the game starts you with line that has .88 pound "durability." Will run in the background and you can buy a bite alarm so kick back on your boat set out your line and read a book or do your work. Beautiful graphics will take you to paradise.

The normal mode allows you to watch your bait which makes it easy to learn the game or something about fishing overall. Best is the Gold Edition at sale to also have Fish Tanks etc. - Early looks bland but later you are able to fish in tropical regions, on ice, in the ocean etc.

I spent hours trying to catch a fish looking at tutorials and using AI to help and nothing I caught one fish in 3 hrs and it was the most frustrating experience. Free would be too much for this game.

I was using less than half of my GPU with a choppy, low and inconsistent framerate. Around ~70 fps at 1440p for my setup is unacceptable. I also couldn't seem to even bait a fish in the short time I played, longer than real life somehow. One of the worst games of all time.

The graphics are quite old, the multiplayer is basically just a chat room, and the physics don’t really work (even a small fish can break a line that’s supposed to withstand 20 kg). I bought it, reached level 12, and started thinking about the DLCs… but it’s getting too boring. Unlike other games of this type, there are no quests and no real reason to fish. But still worth to try for 1 Eur during a sale
