negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game really cheap, but free is the only fair price for it. It is really bad. First of all it starts on my second display which is my TV, took a while to realize it. Second, there is a bug where you can't read messages (gives some file not found error), apparently the dev knows about this since Jan or Feb or something and it still isn't fixed. There's a dude that posted some workaround with converting mp3 files to ogg and changing some text files around to make it work, this way…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Basically the same level of gameplay as a free flash game. If you want a fun Hollywood-style hacking sim, ignore this one and grab Uplink instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My playtime: 11.4h (based on Steam, 100% achievement) Grindy Achievement(s): Yes (~4 achievements, it might take ~6h to get them all). Optional Achievement(s): Yes (7 achievements). Difficult Achievement(s): No. Intro As a fan of hacking games, Hacker Evolution Duality catches my eye; it looks like other hacking games at first glance despite its negative reviews. I ended up giving it a chance after some careful consideration, but is it as bad as other people say? More on the review. Pros: - 7…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Uplink did a better job being a game about hacking computers. This is all just clicking on stuff and not actually thinking. It's also buggy as hell (the main interface randomly disappears). Avoid!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've bought this game years ago driven by curiosity, to find out what it takes to be one of the most hated kind of people in the virtual world. Well, i've gained zero knowledge thanks to the gods, and uselessness of this product. To explain myself politely, this is not a game, but a mental warfare without the cold trace of fun. The music itself doesn't match with my style, some electronic stuff, tastes are so different between peoples, so i can't rate it but acceptable enough. The game itself…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a disgrace. The Hacker Evolution games are a long lasting series of hacking games based around a CMD console you'd type commands into. It was in no way realistic compared to actual hacking, but it was fun and made you feel like a movie hacker. The levels were fun and the story was usually ok. This... thing, is just atrocious. My friend boght it to me for my birthday and I had to apologise to her for wasting her money. The interface is ugly, and there is no strategy to the levels.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to give my opinions on why Hacker Duality has so many negative reviews. I personally like the game and appreciate it for what it is. Clearly the developers wanted to try something new. Let's face it the Hacker Evolution formula is rather old and hasn't changed at all really since the very first classic Hacker game. I believe HED simply just didn't find a demographic to market to and that one of any significant size doesn't exist at all. Yes, whether a game is good or bad is subjective…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For real Al, Is this what you actually do?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Play Uplink instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not worth your cash no matter what the price is. You're better off playing tag with a herd of cattle. Now, If you want graphics this isn't the game you're looking for, If you want a good story this isn't the game you're looking for, If you want a hacking simulator this isn't the game you're looking for, If you want a game... I don't even consider this a game. Stay away from this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2/10 never trust a steam game with 0 gameplay footage on the store page
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No one is going to read my review, so I like Furry Cun₸b0ys ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Metacritic: 2.4 / 10.0 http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/hacker-evolution-duality There is a good reason for this bad rating. Instead of makind senseless DLCs they should fix some issues. No ... this game is not comparable with Uplink. Somehow I had serious problems playing the game and I don't mean the difficulty etc. ... the controls on my pc were very laggy and the game itself had some serious performance problems. And no, my PC is not old or something ... I play Witcher etc. on it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All the buttons are missing at the bottom on the screen. Unplayable literally a huge was of money. This bug has been known for years yet developer doesn't fix.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first game was a lot of fun, more of a hacker themed puzzle than a hacker simulator, but I really really enjoyed it. Then the second game came out that was similar to the first, but crashed a lot and had a story that wasn't nearly as interesting... Then there's this game.... replace all of your console commands with gui interfaces, add in ai hosts that you have to hack in the beginning just so you can be constantly attacked (with no way to stop them) throughout the level. Boring and not…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The last entry in a trilogy of nope.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Shame on you for ruining the Hacker Evolution series with this casual non-sense.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I hacked MySpace and Chuck Norris twitter account and White House Nuclear Bunk unlock code. I hacked the girl I had crush on instagram account and messaged myself from there :- "I love you and I would like to marry you" . All with the help of this game. . . . Yes, as you can see I received this product for free because I hacked during checkout and got this game for free. Also, my bank credit now is 63 Billion $
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's wasted 34min of my life.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The top rated guide is "how to unlock all achievements" I rest my case...Though you might want to check it out if you want a better average achievement score.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Steam should remove the Linux version of this game, see the forum for game-breaking bugs that the developer will be fixing 'next week'/'soon' ... for far too many months now. No status updates, no realistic timeline for patches, no good reason to keep the game installed hoping for the mythical bugfix. Cannot comment on the actual game though as it's somewhat hard to play it when you cannot even read mission objectives.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My Grandfather smoked his whole life. I was about 10 years old when my mother said to him, 'If you ever want to see your grandchildren graduate, you have to stop immediately.'. Tears welled up in his eyes when he realized what exactly was at stake. He gave it up immediately. Three years later he died of lung cancer. It was really sad and destroyed me. My mother said to me- 'Don't ever smoke. Please don't put your family through what your Grandfather put us through." I agreed. At 28, I have…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I first played this when i came out show this should show my own age the game being over a decade old and for its time is was very fun but after being in cyber security and other fields of IT i look back. Games like these among movies like hackers from the 90s/00s made me want to enter the field of IT no matter how silly they actual where once i learned it still sparked my interest now i do what i love in 2018. Either way a game is meant to be fun overly realistic or not but cyber security is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are many interesting and good hacking games on Steam. The Hacker Evolution series aren't part of them. And while Duality is the last entry of the series, to add insult to injury, it is the worst. Just stay away from this at all cost. It doesn't get better, it just gets worse the longer it drags on.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't be tricked, if you have played the old versions, this is seemingly nothing like it, too much going on in too many places, I loved these when I was a kid, A KID! Now as an adult.... I cannot enjoy it.... they changed it way too much. Not worth the nine minutes I've played so far, and definitely not worth $2.49! They should give you the achievements for just buying it.... but they didnt cause they know themselves that you dont deserve them because you in fact paid money for this, and now…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Horrible gameplay, 'hacking' is just silly and a waste of time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A hacking game where you hack computers by repeating the same several actions and their associated minigames over and over and over and over.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First level is interesting due to the fact it's a new game. From the second one, it's boring. Same things to do, very static. It's not hacking, you have to press buttons, that's it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Follow our [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/36214917/]Curator Group for more reviews Hacker Evolution Duality is a hacking simulator that completely fails at feeling like hacking. Instead of a command line interface, you are presented with a simplified, mouse-based interface. Instead of writing commands in order to hack something, you just click a button and watch it happen. Sometimes there is a mini-game to play, but they are largely uninteresting. Overall, the game is lackluster…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hack Hack Hack.... You have a world map... You can hack in many countries... Try to avoid to be spotted.... Be HACKER!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A minigame requiring you to hunt down (in order) 64 numbers while a timer is counting down is quite possibly the stupidest way to make a game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game is about sliding bars and so called hacking..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Waste of money. I even can not launch it on linux. Support is lagging. They promiss fixes, but you dont get them even in one month. Try Uplink instead this one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really can't recommend this game to anyone, it's overly simplified and boring.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeee i hacked 127.0.0.1 N***gah Worst simulation ever.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Verdict: Hard pass. This is another hacking game like uplink, except that it takes every bad thing about uplink and makes it far far worse. You have to hack into servers, except all hacking is determined by a stat based system, so it's more of a tactics game? It's a really bad tactics game. The real currency is your time, as you're being "traced" as you do things, and every operation makes you wait to click something at the right time, or makes you watch a glorified progress bar. I spent most…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →*sigh* What happened? I played the first iteration of this game years ago and was hooked by it. I come back today and play this desperate travesty. A wonderful, simple little hacking game utterly ruined by unnecessary features and a terrible GUI. Play Hacknet or Uplink instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Why? Seriously Why?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanna be hacker or cracker :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it gets boring after a while and at one point, i couldnt progress, because it set up a goal that I'm simply not cappable of doing with the way the mechanics work. Pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I not that I don't like the game, its just that I can hardly play it. It seems to crash alot as well as take forever to load the game to even play. The fact of the matter is I'm actually writing this review as I'm waiting for the game to load as I would like to be able to at least unlock all the achivements. The fact that my system is well over the minimum requirements doesn't seem to matter. But when I'm able to play it it not bad but replay value I don't see it as one I would reply all time.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game sucks and its too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard to play even on easy when the ♥♥♥♥ just screws up right when you start playing
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →More like point-and-click game rather than a hacking game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the gameplay is slow, repetitive, and messy in a matter too also maybe just me, but whenever i go to the steam community the game gets insanely laggy or freezes
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not a fun game but ez 100%
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good idea, bad improvement
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You know when you're watching a spy film, and the character hacks into something by clicking buttons with an interface easy to use by anyone who's never even had to type any sort of code? This is literally Hacker Evolution Duality. And yes, it is as boring in this game as it is boring in the films.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is so small I need a magnifying glass just to see the words. I tried going to the discussion boards for help but didn't get any. I think the company went out of business or something since its website for the game has been taken over by another game. I changed the DPI settings for the game but that just made it give me a blank grey screen with the exosystem words at the top left corner of the screen.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hacker Evolution Duality is another "hacking simulator", which has nothing to do with actual hacking and doesn't even have any bearing on it. WWE has more in common with actual combat than Hacker Evolution has with hacking. This is really a collection of mediocre mini-games and the dim hope from the developers that players will somehow feel like they're Neo from the Matrix. Apart from this terrible premise, you have fixed resolution, unreadable text on a 4K monitor, and clunky controls.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely digusting excuse for a game. Terrible. The options, don't work. Yes. The games OPTIONS do not work. And what does the developer do? Nothing. Promote a game thats been 10% finished for years. With constant promises of updates. There is a gltich in the game that has not been fixed for years, despite the developer openly promising for years to fix it. In short this is a prime example of a deveoloper simply not caring about his customers, only their wallets. This companies products…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've only played for a short time but I can't be bothered continuing after the game crashed during the tutorial. Alt+Tab broke the game and I had to go through Task Manager to quit. The text is too small for me that I have to squint and UI reminds me of those remotes (TV, microwave, etc.) where every button is the exact same size and colour, so it takes me far too long to find what I need.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just not very fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like it, if you can see beyond the reviews and try it, it's a nice experience. The price is truly kinda high, but all the rest are nice, I enjoy it a lot. I can recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hack your way to completion!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →by far worst hacker evolution series ever made. the gameplay is boring. story is lame. music is so porn. nothing in this game is good. play the first one and untold then ignore this ♥♥♥♥.
