Two Mules for Sister Sara
When a wandering mercenary named Hogan rescues a nun called Sister Sara from the unwanted attentions of a band of rogues on the Mexican plains, he has no idea what he has let himself in for. Their chance encounter results in the blowing up of a train and a French garrison, as well as igniting a spark between them that survives a shocking discovery. From TMDB

I'm so funny). She & Eastwood improbably team up with Mexicans to defeat French invaders in this western adventure. #filmsky 📽

Shirley was in such films as The Trouble with Harry (1955), The Apartment (1960), Sweet Charity (1969), Two Mules for Sister Sara (1970), Being There (1979), and Terms of Endearment(1983). #OnThisDay #botd

Lionel Barrymore (Mr. Potter from It's a Wonderful Life) is Drew Barrymore's Great Uncle. Debbie Reynolds (Singin' in the Rain, God I love that movie) was Carrie Fisher's mom. I think everyone knows Dakota Johnson's parents, Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith. Shirley Maclaine (The Apartment and Two Mules for Sister Sara) is Warren Beatty's sister. And some cool but not duo-celebrity relative facts.…
neutral · AI labelView post →The Kino Lorber 4K of Two Mules for Sister Sara has a vintage interview with Clint Eastwood on it that starts with the interviewer saying “What is the *real* Clint Eastwood like?” and then it’s eight minutes of Clint making poses like this in front of his fireplace and talking about himself.

With obvious exceptions like "Blazing Saddles", I had figured that most of the old Westerns were the same sort of tense, action-fests. While those are great, I was surprised to find "My Name is Nobody" to be a legitimately funny comedy and also intriguing. If you just stick with Clint Eastwood flicks for a while, you're in for a treat. ["Two Mules for Sister…

I've watched it twice already and, well, I just love it🤗 Two Mules for Sister Sara is not one of my favorite Clint Eastwood movies, but Shirley MacLaine makes it worth watching. Don't know Carolina Caroline🤔 I like the actors in Fuze...is it streaming somewhere?

Universal's DVD release was missing the line where the bandit refers to Sara as a "piece of tail." It was also missing her humorous moans when Hogan pushes her ass through the film (we haven't got there yet). #TCMParty

I did see Two Mules for Sister Sara just for Shirley MacLaine. That was OK. My wife will be in Europe for 4 weeks in June. Maybe I'll watch a couple then.

They made five solid movies together: "Coogan's Bluff" ('68) "Two Mules For Sister Sara" ('70) "The Beguiled" ('71) "Dirty Harry" ('71) "Escape from Alcatraz" ('79) I bet they wished they'd made more. I also bet they wish they kept those sunglasses.
