60 of 66 · most liked firstDo you like minimalistic puzzles? Well, this game definitely is suited for you! Let me tell you straight though that its price is too expensive, but you can just add this to your wishlist and wait for some discount or bundle =) The game itself has the usual awful translation in other languages apart from English, but apart from this it's definitely smooth, fast, easy to learn and without flaws or bugs in my whole playthroughs. It lacks of a tutorial, but really you won't need anything after ten…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/33530905/]Check out the Linux Users curator for more reviews of games you should (or should not) play! Another tough, original puzzle game to work your mind. "Easy to learn, hard to master" best describes this minimalist-done-right game. While it even level can be "finished" with moderate effort, getting "perfect" is satisfying and takes a lot of thought and foresight. It would be nice to know the minimum turns needed to reach perfect, as many times…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice, original puzzler, where you can both rotate the board and rotate the tiles. (See the store video if that doesn't make sense) The difficulty ramps up nicely over the course of the game, with a decent number of new features added to keep things varied. Interestingly, the move count is only based off rotating the board - rotating individual tiles is 'free' for scoring purposes. (This has the slightly odd property that some levels can be completed in "0 moves") Overall, it's very nicely…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like minimalistic puzzle games. The good ones, of course. And this game is one of them. There isnt too much to write. The puzzles are clever, the whole concept is nimble. It has 75 tables, it lasts a few hours to solve them all. A darker color scheme was added, useful option if the high contrast hurts your eyes. Nice brain training, recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Although it is mostly a well-polished puzzle game with cool aesthetics, it plays much like a casual mobile game where you play a few levels at a time when you are bored. Navigation is slow due to forced animations, and the UI is missing a few quality-of-life features to fully enjoy this in a quick manner. For example, it is a bit tedious to earn trophies (solving a level with least possible moves) as the game does not tell you in how many moves each level should be finished with. This forces…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Twickles, the minimalistic brainteasing puzzler by Neox Studios, minimalistic in the most positive sense of the word that is. As the control is very simplistic, but the deduction behind the solution of the puzzles is not. Just the way these genres should be. Offering quite a lot of content in comparison to it’s lower price. There are five chapters, each with fifteen levels, making for a total of 75 puzzles. The first level of each chapter introduces a new sort of feature, which requires a…

The graphics, sound effects and music for this game all come together to create a peaceful experience. + Great pacing. Each 15 levels introduces a new mechanic. I found this to be a great pace to introduce new mechanics. + Dark theme! + Doesn't get too complicated. Cons - No rewind feature. This means if you make a single mistake you gotta redo the whole puzzle. - This con is only relevant in the dark theme. The mechanic…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Twickles is a misleading word. It sounds cute. It sounds funny. It sounds innocent. Let me ask you something. If I pushed you into a loud, droning, mysterious machine that warped you to a new location where you fell 200 feet before being thrusted upward by a fan, only to look up and see a 2-ton block chasing after you, what would you do? Would you scream, or would you say, "Tee hee, that Twickled"? I rest my case. The Good: Simple concept, challenging game. The game has a lot of language…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Minimalistic but very well rounded puzzle game. Goal is to get the ball from stating circular square to hexagonal one, using gravity and rotation of the whole level as well as each individual squares every level consist of. In less capable hands this would lend itself to poor level design where the goal would be walled off by countless permutations beyond human capacity but not here. There are 75 levels (called Chapters for some reason) divided into 5 Parts consisting of 15 each. Each new Part…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A solid and relaxing puzzle game with simplicistic graphic. The goal is to move a ball from round title to a hexagonal one but rotating individual tiles or the whole board. Sounds simple, but it is actually not if you want to gain trophies for perfect movement in every single level. Getting them all is truly satisfying. There are five chapters with 15 levels each and each chapter brings some new interesting elements and mechanics. The difficulty smoothly increases with solving consecutive…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Turning Twickle Time! PROS: It's a very simple game, easy to pick up and play, which is crucial for a puzzle game with such a simplistic design. The puzzles have a nice amount of challenge to it, though the curve can go up and down, with some mid game puzzles challenging to get the trophy, and some later ones being rather instant. Though with this being a puzzle game, that all comes down to the person. CONS: For some, it could be a little short, with only 75 puzzles. It lacks any flair or…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty basic puzzle game. I didn't find it engaging, and solving the puzzles wasn't satisfying.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Twickles is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as a cheap, lazy cash grab. It's a minimalist physics/tile puzzle game that feels like a mobile port. Rotate individual tiles, or the entire grid around. Make the ball fall from the start chamber to the hexagonal target chamber. While in this case the minimalist graphics aren't too ugly, they're still the keystone of the lazy developer, right next to retro pixel graphics. Gameplay is straight out of a flash/browser game, so this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Better than I expected. It’s a minimalist puzzle where you guide a ball through a maze by rotating individual squares or the entire board until the ball drops into the goal. I thought it was too easy at first, but later levels increase in difficulty. For example, some levels require the ball to travel through teleporters. In addition, the challenge is not to just get the ball to the goal, but to do so with the minimum number of board rotations. That seems appropriate for a minimalist game.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very well made, but be warned..it gets hard VERY quickly, especially if you're trying to get perfect scores. I've also never come across a game before which could be described as "smug" but this one does. It's...got an aesthetic of being very self-assured and better than you....
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Twickles is a small and fun puzzle game that becomes quite hard after a time. It's a bit like a mobile title, but the low price really helps with giving the game a proper chance it deserves. It's probably not for everyone, but people that are fans of puzzle games should find something fun here.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The concept is interesting and it's very challenging but after awhile I lost interest. 5/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In short: Twickles is a short but clever, somewhat traditional puzzle game. With interesting mechanics and cleverly designed bite-sized levels you get a nice satisfying brain-teaser. The looks, sounds and technical aspects are perfectly functional, but unfortunately nothing to write home about. With a bare-bones game like that and barely 3 hours of content I'm having a hard time recommending it for full-price, but on a discount this is a very easy recommendation from me. In long: The gameplay…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting concept, but missing an undo feature which would have make the game a bit nicer to use, moreover with the cups which allow more interest into solving puzzles the most clever way. But it's not a big issue, apart that it's a pretty nice game to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice minimalist puzzle game, good job of show-don't-tell difficult curve. Props to the dev for going back and adding dark mode.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great puzzle game. Easy rules, hard levels. Worth it's price
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Twickles Such a little brilliant logical game. Graphics is minimalistic but pretty, music is simply but calm and very well tuned, and no people/animals suffers in the game... If you're happy that you've just happily solved next puzzle, you almost never get the award for the best solution, because it appears there is a better way to solve it :D Very good game :) Well done!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This'd be great to play on the go / the phone, though then I couldn't enjoy the relaxing spa music as much.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short and relatively easy puzzle game. Nice if you need to stretch your brain for a few hours
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was surprisingly interesting. At first glance, the mechanics it presents seem inconsistent with each other, especially those related to gravity, on which the entire gameplay is based. One might say the game was forged from a lack of a clear idea of what it wanted to be. And yet, the puzzles and logic challenges it offers are surprisingly engaging. I would rate them as moderately difficult. I only had to look at a guide for one level. Its main challenge lies in completing tasks with…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Others have described this as minimalistic puzzle game - good description. A ball is directed from point A to point B by turning either the entire puzzle or just a square. Various levels contain portals, blocks, and fans - both helping and hindering the movement. The final goal is to achieve perfection for each puzzle, by minimizing the number of puzzle turns. I do wish they would tell you the number of moves for a perfect game and an undo would be nice. The only bug I noticed is the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This puzzle game involves moving a board or panel to move a ball to the goal. The goal is to complete the game in as few moves as possible. It's so fun that you'll forget to eat.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a real thinker. eliminate negative logic paths.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Minimalistic puzzle game. It seems easy at the beginning, but the difficulty ramps up at a nice pace. Additionally new features are added to spice things up a little. I would've appreciated an undo button to avoid having to repeat the whole level. Other than that, it's an interesting game to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have already completed the game, it is a fun game, and it has very amazing ideas. I am a fan of challenging games. I hope that the second part of the game will be released or there will be more updates.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty relaxing game. 4/5
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm only half way through the second chapter and I've already got three and a half hours out of this game. The mechanics aren't hard to understand and the simplicity lends itself to some brilliant puzzles which always feel fun to solve because, unlike some puzzle games I've played, you never seem to find the solution to these puzzles accidentally. Sure it's nothing ground breaking and it's a bit pricey for how much content you really get (and I did get it during a 90% off sale so I might be…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think it's a sign of a masterfully made puzzle game when the goal is a low number of moves (say 1 to 5 moves on average) and it's still a mind bending experience to make even that many moves. I really enjoyed it. As per usual I'm not smart enough to do the toughest of the tough puzzles -- another sign of a good puzzle game :P

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little puzzle game, Waited till I 100% it to review it as I played it over several months. Enjoyed it. Kinda sad that I won't get to play it any more but non the less worth playing if you enjoy puzzles. 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful, simple, relaxing game. Simple yet provoking puzzles. A good addition to your library
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An interesting, if somewhat complex and tricky puzzle game. I suspect I will hit the wall pretty early on. That said, there are two levels of success, and the lesser of the two is all that is required to advance, so you don't get stuck, and can go back to work on perfection as you learn new things or simply feel like trying. The look is simple, as is the sound, and the controls. The core mechanism, so far, is rotatable squares, with a ball, and passages within the squares. The main conceit…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fine for what it is. The music gets annoying after a while, and the sound effects are obnoxious, but the puzzling is fine. I wouldn't consider the puzzles difficult, though. Maybe catch it on sale if you are into easy puzzles to make yourself feel smarter.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's OK. But only OK
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very nice and unique puzzle game! I greatly enjoyed the different mechanics that the game slowly introduced and how calming this game was. Another nice thing is how you don't have to get every level perfect, just some, in order to progress. So, if you're not a perfectionist, there's still fun to be had!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I LOVE TWICKLES…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A clean, minimal-fashioned puzzle game. Relaxing background music, which becomes increasingly less and less so with every failed attempt at achieving the perfect solve, to the point that I need a break for my poor, little brain. Gosh, it still hurts. Also, I would rather the dev team add the 'undo' button. That would greatly help.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a lovely par-based puzzle game. In a clever bit of design, there's a par count for rotating the whole level, while individual tiles can be rotated without penalty. This makes for some very clever puzzle designs (including puzzles with a par of 0 moves). Puzzles seemed trivial at the start of part 1, but quickly get really challenging. I ultimately needed walkthroughs for the par times on 3 of the 75 levels. The game has a lovely minimalist aesthetic. Music and sounds are also…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good puzzle game with interesting mechanics ! Lots of fun stuff to do with gravity Really satisying to solve and I only used part of a guide on a single level in chapter III Recommended
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice little game, if bit short and it could use a small introduction to the mechanics. They are so few, I'M sure this would be quick work but help players not having to figure it out by try and error, esp. on mouse & keyboard. For eveybody who wonders: Left click on tile: rotate clockwise right click on tile: rotate counterclockwise click the rotate buttons at the lower end of the screen: rotate the whole board [(counter-)clockwise] I played this in just 5.5h and really took my time doing other…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A supremely elegant puzzle game, in every sense of the word — the visuals are refined and subtle; the sound effects are tasteful; and the level designs are superb. I expected to settle for "good enough" on the later levels, but the game convinced me to keep trying, and eventually I mastered every single board. Huge thumbs up.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A solid minimalistic puzzle game with a original idea but lacks depth for players who want tougher puzzles.Dont't get me wrong ,this puzzler is not casual and the idea is wonderful but personally I wouldn't mind more puzzles and a chapter with hardcore puzzles. That being said I really can't complain about anything else because it is a really good game.Bit expensive so I recommend you buy it discounted.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting little puzzle game, not overly hard but also challenging enough if you want all the trophies. Not my favorite option for relaxing though, not sure why.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent puzzle game. Pretty short though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Twickles is a 2D puzzle game based on a 5x5 (later, 6x6) grid. Some of the grid squares have path sections, like straight lines, or T-sections. There is a start block, with a ball, and an end point, and the ball obeys gravity. You have to make a path for the ball from the start to the end. You can rotate a grid square clockwise or anti-clockwise, and you can also rotate the whole grid. There are 75 puzzles, and new mechanics are introduced: unrotatable blocks, blocks which occupy the same path…
