His goal is to "report" on events that he secretly caused, boosting his ratings and setting the news cycle.
neutral · AI labelView post →Tomorrow Never Dies remains the best Bond movie because everything in it happened for real
positive · AI labelView post →Watching Tomorrow Never Dies. The last proper fun Bond film.
positive · AI labelView post →Wild that Tomorrow Never Dies became the most revenant Pierce Brosnan James Bond movie.
neutral · AI labelView post →Movies don’t reflect our world—they accentuate it. Films like Tomorrow Never Dies arrange it into a Manichaean struggle between good and evil. We need cinema’s outlandish proportions because our world—with our own billionaires and their disinformation machines—is too horrifying to countenance.
neutral · AI labelView post →I'm quite happy that it seems as Tomorrow Never Dies has been fully re-evaluated as a damn good film and up there as one of the best Bonds.
positive · AI labelView post →Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) 🎬🖤 Directed by Roger Spottiswoode

neutral · AI labelView post →007 movie Tomorrow Never Dies (1997): a tech billionaire manipulates UK-China conflict to grow his empire. Real life: Elon Musk controls Twitter, global satellites & now has access to top-secret U.S. war plans. Sometimes the villains aren’t fictional.
neutral · AI labelView post →I just rewatched, Tomorrow Never Dies (1997). Pierce’s second Bond film. It’s not bad at all, it’s good, it’s serviceable, but it’s a letdown after the fantastic, Goldeneye. Pierce is fantastic though. He was such a natural in the role. It feels like it was destined to be.

neutral · AI labelView post →When I was a kid I thought the idea of a media oligarch setting up world war 3 to make money reporting on it was silly, but I guess Tomorrow Never Dies had the most realistic Bond movie premise after all.
positive · AI labelView post →archive.org/details/TNDGME - A user at the VGHF discord found this via Wayback Machine: a James Bond-themed Quake mini-TC, officially licensed by MGM to promote the movie Tomorrow Never Dies, produced by an art collective called The Big Gun Project, led by underground comix figure Jim "TAZ" Evans.
neutral · AI labelView post →The closest a Bond movie has gotten to the real world was Tomorrow Never Dies, when a media mogul was trying to start WWIII, in order for his paper and news network to get first crack on each part of the war. With Elon running twitter, and Murdoch at the WSJ, you know they’d do that.
neutral · AI labelView post →Tomorrow Never Dies is the only Bond movie where everything that happens in it is realistically possible or has already happened (and for the most part had happened within ten years of it coming out) — it's my favorite but the ending is really disappointing (big gun shootout is not 007's forte)

neutral · AI labelView post →I remember how people laughed at the 1997 Bond movie TOMORROW NEVER DIES because its obscenely wealthy villain manufactures a war with China to boost revenue and ratings for his media conglomerate. Silly, right?? Anyway, here we are in 2024 🤷🏼
neutral · AI labelView post →Now watching: Tomorrow Never Dies, my favorite childhood bond movie, and keeping on my watch through of the Brosno movies
positive · AI labelView post →Watching Tomorrow Never Dies, where James Bond takes on his most dangerous enemy yet – Disinformation. This film has the double bonus of a) bring prescient and b) featuring Michelle Yeoh kicking the shit out of evil henchmen.

neutral · AI labelView post →This is why I think Tomorrow Never Dies is one of the most underrated films in the franchise.
positive · AI labelView post →- Dalton is a proto-Craig and Living Daylights is extremely good/classic while License to Kill is a flawed film with a good idea that could have been better executed - Goldeneye is also a classic and Tomorrow Never Dies is fine (prescient villain lol), while the other Brosnan films don't exist
neutral · AI labelView post →Still waiting to get Thunderball from the library so tonight's movie is Tomorrow Never Dies. I don't remember this one very well but as a long time Michelle Yeoh fan girl I'm excited
neutral · AI labelView post →RIP Joe Don Baker, 89, stage, TV and screen actor, "Walking Tall" and 3 James Bond films "The Living Daylights", "Goldeneye" and "Tomorrow Never Dies", TV's "Eischeid" and more. variety.com/2025/film/ne...
neutral · AI labelView post →I was the exact same way! I didn’t like Tomorrow Never Dies because I didn’t buy the premise at all. The rise of Fox News and the GOP’s crash into hell made me rethink that movie and realize it was ahead of its time — Jonathan Pryce played a great Murdoch analogue
positive · AI labelView post →I think Tomorrow Never Dies is my favourite Bond movie, which proves I am a broken human.
positive · AI labelView post →Watching Tomorrow Never Dies, the only Bond film that captures the energy between the lead actors in gentle 90s sitcom As Time Goes By

unlabelledView post →Tomorrow Never Dies is, in fact, the *best* Bond film. Also, On Her Majesty's Secret Service was pretty good, George Lazenby got a bum rap.
unlabelledView post →🕰️ TUESDAY NOSTALGIA 🕰️ Teri Hatcher Tomorrow Never Dies is the only Brosnan Era 007 movie worth watching today...besides GoldenEye, of course. In addition to some fun action set pieces, it features Teri Hatcher's Paris Carver – my second-favourite Bond girl of the 90's. A truly elegant beauty.
unlabelledView post →The other thing they got wrong was how whiny they are. The 1990s imagined oligarchic villains as Jonathan Pryce hamming it up in Tomorrow Never Dies. In reality we got Elon Musk - similar film but with '90s icon Harry Enfield's Kevin the teenager as the Bond villain. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYL5...

unlabelledView post →Good evening ✨️ Rewatched Tomorrow Never Dies tonight! My favourite Bond movie! Compared to some, I think it holds up! With a good soundtrack, a tender moment with Bond and some unique chase scenes, it's a fun watch. With a media mogul as the main villain too, it feels quite relevant nowadays.

Master of Time for Ocarina of Time is incredible. Super Mario Star Road is basically a direct sequel to Mario 64. Tomorrow Never Dies is a 13 level new Bond game based on Goldeneye 007

unlabelledView post →Incredible that David Warner never played an Imperial Officer in any of the original Star Wars films or appeared in a Bond film either (he'd have been a better Elliot Carver in Tomorrow Never Dies or a better replacement Q than John Cleese). Anyway, more things should have had David Warner in them.
unlabelledView post →1. Tomorrow Never Dies is the best Brosnan movie by a country mile and a top ten Bond movie. RIP Joe Don Baker 2. The next iteration of Bond should bring back just being silly fun. I love the Craig movies, but it’s time for the gritty reboot to go away for a bit (same with the Batmens)
