The Man with the Golden Gun
Cool government operative James Bond searches for a stolen invention that can turn the sun's heat into a destructive weapon. Bond then joins forces with the swimsuit-clad Mary Goodnight, and together they track Scaramanga to a Thai tropical isle hideout where the killer-for-hire lures the slick spy… From TMDB

unlabelledView post →I'll admit that I haven't seen all of the James Bond movies...but I just learned they used a Slide Whistle sound effect for the car flip scene in The Man With The Golden Gun. Based on this knowledge, I propose every James Bond film should have at least one slide whistle.

Britt had wanted to be in a Bond film since the mid 60s; the directors were persuaded to give her the role after seeing her in The Wicker Man (1973). #BrittEkland #JamesBond

But my favourite thing about the episode is that it reminds me of the existence of her The Man with the Golden Gun, which - if you know nothing of the movie it comes from - is a spectacular string of single entendres about a high-charging gigolo.

unlabelledView post →We’re convinced people remember The Man with the Golden Gun fondly for two reasons: 1. They unknowingly condense the entire movie in their head to that one scene where Christopher Lee is talking 2. They forgot everything else, like the fucking slide whistle going BWOOOOP during the big stunt jump
unlabelledView post →9 - The Man with the Golden Gun. Strange film. Entertaining enough. Christopher Lee is amazing! Roger Moore seems at ease with the role. The American cop turning up from L&LD was just ridiculous and didn’t work and too long on the chase sequences. 6.5/10
