unlabelledView post →"Quantum of Solace" is so well named. It's a movie where you can either know what speed James Bond is moving at, or his location and the direction he's moving in, but never both.
unlabelledView post →In my opinion, Skyfall is the best Bond film of all time. In terms of Craig film rankings, it’s followed by Casino Royale, No Time To Die, Spectre and Quantum Of Solace.
unlabelledView post →With Amazon now owning the production rights and control of the Bond series, I wanna preemptively congratulate Quantum of Solace for no longer being the worst film in the series.
unlabelledView post →Moonraker is not even CLOSE to the worst Bond movie. Quantum of Solace License to Kill and yes, No Time to Die All stinkeroos
unlabelledView post →1. Quantum of Solace is good 2. The movie series should just end 3. Y'all want faithful movie adaptations of the novels up until Odd Job is eating a cat and Bond is having extended conversations with Dikko about Tatar blood.

unlabelledView post →That's how my top 5 goes, too! BUT THE REAL FUN'S IN FIGURING THE 3 WORST BOND SONGS "Die Another Day." Easily the worst, just as awful as Shirley Bassey's work is god-tier. "Another Way to Die," Quantum of Solace. A jarring mess. "A View to a Kill." Better fitting for a Friday the 13th movie?
unlabelledView post →Treyarch was hired to make a Quantum of Solace game to come out with the movie’s release and they were given extremely vague plot points and how the movie would end, so 10/15 of the levels of the game are just James flashbacking to Casino Royale.
unlabelledView post →Dunno how I feel about the Bond news. I quite enjoyed the Craig Era, apart from Quantum of Solace, but the fact that it takes SO long to get a film out, so many publicised writer disputes and rewrites, and so long every time to cast a new actor for a character that's not actually that complicated...

unlabelledView post →Different strokes for different folks, but it, as with pretty much all the Craig Bonds other than Quantum of Solace, hits this zone where it's like, not silly enough to be a fun Bond movie, but serious enough that my brain asks follow-up questions that wouldn't bother me about, say, Moonraker.
unlabelledView post →#LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched Batman Begins, still solid. Daddy's Home, stupid but funny. Wild Things, my friend's sister saw a guy jacking off to this movie in theaters lol, hot movie with lots of twists and turns. Quantum of Solace, was on TV at my parents, good action.

unlabelledView post →Well, got some beers in, so it's time for the next of this years anniversary Bonds... The ten years old SPECTRE! Arguably, especially now Quantum of Solace has a vocal fan based of reassessers, seen as the worst Bond film all round. I've certainly not bothered to upgrade to 4K yet...

unlabelledView post →Quantum of Solace is a good film and the opera sequence is absolutely stunning.
unlabelledView post →Don’t care what anybody says, still absolutely love Quantum of Solace the shortest Bond movie with proportionally the most action entirely about how Bond is a bad secret agent because he can’t stop murdering people

unlabelledView post →as an aside, i always thought it was perplexing that people guffawed at how the villain of Quantum of Solace was trying to steal a water supply. That movie has *plenty* other problems with pacing and character etc, but the villain's plot really isn't one of them!

unlabelledView post →That's a really difficult one. The book Bond is a snob in a way that doesn't really translate to the later culture in which so many of the films are set. Plus, I stopped watching the movies after Quantum of Solace - and had only been slightly interested from around Licence to Kill onwards, until Casino Royale. If I had to say then perhaps a mix of Craig in Casino and Connery in the very early ones. Book Bond was a bit rough around the edges and definitely not dropping 'witty' one-liners all…

unlabelledView post →That was because of the writers strike in 2007 during production of Quantum of Solace. Probably the biggest movie directly affected by it. Heroes Season 2 remains the biggest casualty of that strike
unlabelledView post →David Arnold who famously composed the soundtrack for every 007 movie from Tomorrow Never Dies to Quantum of Solace is now listed as a composer for Lana Del Rey’s new song First Light. This is more evidence that 007 First Light likely has a title sequence and LDR is doing it
unlabelledView post →22 - Quantum of Solace- Probably the most bored I’ve been watching a Bond film. I think the concept is an interesting one, but the direction feels very off. It doesn’t flow well. Worst Bond song I’ve heard as well. 1.5/10

unlabelledView post →I love these two minutes from Quantum of Solace, a scene that elevates the entire movie in my mind’s eye. Just for a moment, it’s as if Cattet and Forzani did a John Wick movie (before C&F made features, and before John Wick existed). Only good!
unlabelledView post →Yeah, no, it is definitively the worst of his run. By a wide margin. I think people who still say Quantum of Solace is the worst are either piggybacking off of what other people say, or are holding onto memories of that film from its release. It's not great, but it's nowhere near as bad as Spectre.

unlabelledView post →I rewatched, Quantum of Solace (2008). Daniel Craig’s second Bond film and it’s basically a continuation of Casino Royale, which for some reason bothered a lot critics. It’s regarded as his worst Bond film, which I think is ludicrous. This my second favorite Craig film. Short running time is great.
unlabelledView post →“Homicide Himbo” would be a great title for a Bond movie. Better than “Quantum of Solace” at least.
