Hilarious and surreal and I need the full thing now store.steampowered.com/app/2364580/...
unlabelledView post →Hey folks, added Titanium Court to my Steam Curator page. What a baffling, delightful, absurdist, and positively surreal game. Part Match-3, part light strategy roguelike, all inscrutable shenanigans. For some reason, you're now queen of the fairies, don't think about, it's time to go to war!
unlabelledView post →So @conradzimmerman.bsky.social insisted I play Titanium Court and he was very right to do it. What a clever game! As well as being a brilliantly conceived puzzle/autobattler hybrid, it’s so well written too. I love the humor and characters. This is a very good game indeed.

unlabelledView post →Hey um, there’s this game It’s called Titanium Court And it’s my favorite game I’ve played this year so far It’s such an incredible work that dissects our relationship with video games, how and why we treat them the way we do and what that does to the art.
unlabelledView post →I see Titanium Court reviews are out today, and honestly if you're already interested enough to pick the game up I'd say.. Do not read them. Many extensively lay out elements that I think are way more enjoyable to discover on their own. The surprise is part of the experience
unlabelledView post →You've never played a video game like Titanium Court—and neither has @patrickklepek.bsky.social. Titanium Court defies easy explanation, but it's one of the most unique and unforgettable experiences he's had in years
unlabelledView post →Titanium Court is a video game.
unlabelledView post →I've now seen a couple people watch the Titanium Court trailer, get angry because they hate the humor on a visceral level, pick up the game anyway because they heard it's good, then get angry again when the game's writing is very similar in tone. Humor is subjective, but doing that is pretty funny.
unlabelledView post →The video game "Titanium Court" has been released! You can buy it. I think this is a game you should play if you want to feel pleasantly confused.
unlabelledView post →It's one of those 'everything on my wishlist launching all at once' days, huh? Oh, and Titanium Court, which I had an early key for. And this is just stuff that interests me. There's over 110 game releases happening today on Steam alone, not counting DLC.
unlabelledView post →The Titanium Court demo is live now for everyone, and I highly recommend everyone give it a try. It's a roguelite comedy match-3 puzzle grand strategy autobattler with the most intricate showering mechanics I've seen in a game. From what I've heard, the demo is just the tip of the iceberg.

unlabelledView post →In the time I have spent playing Titanium Court, I am no longer certain who is playing whom. This is a game that watches you back. You start a run thinking you understand the rules, and then the rules start commenting on your choices. You lose, and losing turns out to be a thing the game expected, maybe even wanted. You unlock something new and cannot tell if it is a mechanic, a joke, or a confession. The trick Titanium Court pulls, and pulls repeatedly, is that there is no membrane between…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think that it's very easy for a new player to dismiss Titanium Court as nothing more than a glorified match three game. I think this is true because that's what I did, and now that I've played about a half dozen hours I'm writing to inform you that Titanium Court is a glorified match three game. Now that in itself doesn't sound appealing, not with so many glorious titles like Candy Crush hanging around. We've all matched three before and watched as those things matched disappear, allowing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hello. AP Thomson’s newest game Titanium Court is wonderful and just a really relaxing, polished, dreamlike little thing with the funniest writing and excellent narrative design. Please do get the demo
unlabelledView post →A bafflingly insane game that manages to surpass and subvert my expectations with every single button press. This game manages to be unbelievably insane while telling a fantastic story with twists and turns that never feel unfair or out-of-nowhere. I had a run that was going very poorly and upon limping my way to the boss fight, the game paused itself and the "host" of the game walked onto the screen and gave me an offer. He told me that he would give me a free pass, skipping the fight but…

unlabelledView post →I played an early build of this, and listen... my bias is abundant. AP was a former student. The co-first guest of Post Games. And a great person. So with all that out of the way: Titanium Court would have been in my end-of-year list last year. It will be this year. It's unbelievable.
unlabelledView post →Okii, it's that time again where I need to shout about a niche game, this time called Titanium Court; A really strange, but charming rogue-like, narrative, resource management ... match-3. Yes, that is the mash-up and it's so surreal in the funniest of ways store.steampowered.com/app/2364580/...
unlabelledView post →must play for game designers and players who want to see what's happening. very fun, unique, inventive. feels a bit like a top tier UFO50 game that got a longer dev cycle.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Been playing two games lately, both really good. Nocturne just came out and is a lovely rhythm game / RPG with some amazing spritework, and Titanium Court is a puzzle roguelite with amazing writing and presentation that swept the IGF this year and fully deserves it
unlabelledView post →Titanium Court is definitely the best thing I've played all year, absolutely in love with it. I would recommend going in as cold as possible though, because it's so wonderful to be surprised, confused, and delighted like this. store.steampowered.com/app/2364580/...
unlabelledView post →One of the most novel games you will ever play What constitutes "unique" in a game? I suppose that's a question best left to academics, pedants, and nerds (but I repeat myself). So let's go with "novel." Titanium Court is an exceptionally novel game. I have played very many games - as my review count can attest - and I have no problem with simple formulas executed well. Still; when a game does something I well and truly have seen nothing like before, and then it does it again, and again, I…

unlabelledView post →The game told me to stop playing it, so I clicked the button to stop playing and got a song about how I finished the game too fast and skipped all the optional stuff. Now my 9 hour save is bricked because you can't roll back after choosing an ending. Good game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A shockingly fun puzzle game where you, a human, accidentally wander into a faerie court and are unilaterally pronounced its queen (despite your personal protests to the contrary), leaving you to try to figure out a way home while guiding the court through the ever shifting landscape and endless war it's caught in. The gameplay itself *would* be a standard match 3 puzzler, except that you are, yourself, also a tile on the board, and how you match and arrange tiles in the first phase of each…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Titanium Court is out tomorrow. Read our review from @zaaack.bsky.social: "With hypnagogic pop spinning throughout, it’s a good feeling of lurid. A puzzle box you’re getting your fingernails into."
unlabelledView post →I got stopped just before the boss of a run and asked if i instead wanted to go watch a concert. After i accepted this offer i got treated with an unskippable cutscene of AP Thomson himself in a horribly compressed video singing about how salmons all get together and have a giant orgy and then die... followed by a "victory" this might be my GOTY
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've heard whispers in the court that new video games come out often, perhaps even weekly. I've largely been unable to verify these claims, but it is in *my* view that only one **new** game has come out this "year", and it is Titanium Court. Are you looking for a sign? A sign from god? This game contains many signs. Its an impressively well-signed game. Are you looking for a sign that you should buy Titanium Court? Unfortunately I only got a C- in ASCII studies. You'll just have to take my word…

unlabelledView post →I've not played as much of Titanium Court pre-release as I would have liked, but I've played enough to confirm that it is VERY good and extremely funny. If you like match-3 puzzles and weird strategy games and absurd humor about whimsical fae folk, you should pick it up tomorrow. Just a great game.
unlabelledView post →This is the single best use of Midsummer Night's Dream I've seen outside of a theater. The writing is sharp. The humor is absurd. The overall vibe is mischievous and delightful. And I cannot tell anyone what's in this game without sounding like SNL's Stefon describing New York City's hottest club. I absolutely love it. 10/10. Play this game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2. "Titanium Court" store.steampowered.com/app/2364580/... I literally do not know what this is. Multiple people I know with very good taste in games have somehow played it already and they are all insisting I want to play it but they refuse to explain it to me they just say I should play it.

unlabelledView post →I probably didn't see half of what was in Titanium Court. I will never launch it again. And it's an earlyish contender for my GOTY. In an interview AP Thomson describes this as a game that was inspired by the friction he saw playing Three Houses - within the ways the story was told, between the presentation of the protagonist and the reality of your everyday life - and I think it was an incredible jumping off point. I also absolutely love the way he's taken a genre that I usually associate…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →AP Thomson did an amazing job making this game. He deserves your money. You should BUY the game, as I did. But you should not play it (at least not past the demo). The game quite clearly asks you to stop playing it, many times in many ways, which is why I'm recommending that you don't start. :-) More seriously, this game awkwardly shackles together two things: (1) a very good story that I would enjoy for 2 or 3 hours if it were standalone, but that gets stretched into 15 interminable hours by…

unlabelledView post →TL;DR: Love '17776'? Love 'Field of Dreams'? You will love Titanium Court. Part of the magic (and even thesis) of the game is that the work that goes into analyzing media seemingly depletes the joy that your experience of the medium first brought you; even saying this much could be deadly to a player's internalization of everything going on due to our 'mortal' penchant for reading the sign as the signified. It's so much easier to take in something like this review than it is to take the time…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I dislike autobattlers and match 3, but I adore this game. I love the writing and the strategy involved setting up the battlefield. The music is fun too! The bad stuff? TBH nothing, really. I can only guess someone who doesn't like reading won't enjoy this so much, but not liking reading is an alien concept to me. So maybe I'm wrong?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know how to explain this game to people who haven't spent time with it. I went to brush my teeth, and caught myself mentally lining up the bathroom tiles. This game has colonized the geometry of my house. Titanium Court is soooo good at intrigue but in a way that isn't showing off. hard, cold, and weirdly warm at the same time. Titanium is a metal they literally use to replace parts of people, which is fitting since its now a part of me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My Bluesky followers are so smart and cultured so i’m telling you exclusively that Titanium Court is a banger game with really fun writing.
unlabelledView post →It's tough to talk about this game without feeling like you're trying to describe a dream to someone, and now that I've completed my journey I can see that's as intentional and well thought-out as every other aspect of this game. The day I finished playing, I still had to go to work afterwards, and I found myself staring at the tiles on the floors and walls and feeling vaguely melancholy that they would never shift or dance, would never have any special meaning or purpose, they would just…

unlabelledView post →The surface level mechanics of this game show what it means to do more with less. It starts in "High Tide"as a match-3, connect 3 or more tiles and you get a resource. Each move takes an action, chaining moves can refund actions. Once you're out of moves, you enter "Low Tide," which is a tower defense with the whole map you were just playing on as the battlefield. You have cards that do certain abilities, or create units, using your resources you gathered. This opens up a huge amount of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely bizarre, weird, retro, not what you expect it to be. Great humor, if you really love Dad jokes. Watch out for the Potion Of Liking Baseball, especially if you already like baseball. Okay, what I am saying is- the retro look and feel are great, though the color choices make my eyes hurt a bit. Thankfully the game can be played in short sessions, though the save system isn't exactly clear (when it saves or why...). If you are expecting this game to be a simple, traditional, standard…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game gave me a lot to chew on. I couldn't tear myself away from the systems, the characters, the music, the dialogue. I've gleaned the following from my experience with Titanium Court: -Abstraction is a form of death. -All endings are valid. -Completeness is a (seductive) myth.

unlabelledView post →Starts out intriguing and addictive, flipping back and forth between a cleverly designed match-3/management/tower-defense/idle-battler sequence, and a mysterious and surreal and often funny story. The demo got me hooked hard enough to slam the buy button and I REALLY enjoyed my first 8-9 hours. Then it began to feel more bland and grindy. The match 3/TD/idle-game segments are short. More and more of the story segments were nothingburgers where you read tons of text but don't actually get any…
