"The Uncertain: Light At The End" is an incomplete game. Made by Russian developers who are incapable of writing/developing a story/game past the first act! While I enjoyed the previous "The Uncertain: Last Quiet Day", I criticized it for being nothing more than a glorified Demo. From ComonGames website it is clear that the developers care more about their image and selling their services rather than developing fun games. Even this incomplete mess, feels like a Demo. What does that make then…

Not the best, although the price and length do encourage a playthrough. A very sci-fi setting. I let a friend play this, because I can't play it myself due to a handicap. We both haven't played the first game. This review will therefore be an impression of the game. This game has a great amount of voice acting, from what I remember. Not the best, but still much appreciated! The story is a mishmash of many popular stories, not very original but one that we can't have enough of. And finally…

The Uncertain: Light At The End is a third-person adventure game serving as a direct sequel to The Uncertain: Last Quiet Day. These games see a post-apocalyptic version of Earth where robots roam and control the planet, with humans being hunted down and eradicated wherever possible. If you are familiar with the first game, you may know that the ending was abrupt to say the least, with the story stated to continue. You would think that Light At The End would do that then, right? That's what I…

WARNING: As prior reviews explain this is not a complete story and it never will be. The first game in the series, The Uncertain: Last Quiet Day, is an incomplete story and shows Part 1 of the full story from the robots perspective. It was a more interesting story than this one and ended with a setup for Part 2. The second game in the series, this one, is NOT Part 2. You would think it would be, but nope... it's not. It is instead also an incomplete story and shows Part 1 (once again),…

I wouldn't call this game a sequel, unless you count the last 1 minute cutscene at the end, instead you get to experience the story from a human perspective. it doesn't feel too much different from the first game, both gameplay and graphics wise. The camera being right behind your protagonist is better than the more conventional point and click POV as was the case in last quiet day. Another great feature is that you can skip the puzzles, I can't remember if the option was present in the first…

Unfortunately for as great as Last Quiet Day was, Light at the End is just kinda meh. It doesn't really add anything to the overall story, several of the characters are just walking talking clichés, not really actually fleshed-out characters in their own right, the puzzles can either be obnoxiously easy, obnoxiously difficult, or obnoxiously bugged, and the graphics can end up horribly glitching out (the very last sequence had a nasty white sheen coating it). And of course there is the number…

Still a Mess I got Part 1 for free and liked it, so I was looking forward to this one. NOTE: The frequency of bugs might have reduced after updates, but it's still far from good. Thankfully, nothing is game-breaking. These bugs are somewhat ignorable if you only care about the story. Type of Bugs I Encountered No lip-sync during dialogues at times, missing or broken movement animations, plenty of glitchy shadows, and sound issues that will make you want to mute the game. At one point, I…

Short and not without issues, muted cutscenes - no bg sound, no music, just acting voices when someone decides to speak - weird characters animations and an overall bad feeling when playing it. Nothing which brakes the game tho. At the end I also wasn't sure if I had to wait for something else to load or what.. there was a black screen with a subtitle saying "Emily" (main protagonist) and nothing else, not even credits. Part 2 of a planned 3 part series that will never be finished. Developers ran out of money and weren't interested in making games with understandable or interesting stories. Forgettable post-apocalyptic setting. Voice lines don't match subtitles even when both are in English. Classic "Nobody bothered to sweep the floor" post-apoc slop. Female character that looks like they ripped off the Last of Us. It's emotional and story rich in the same way that dropping your mashed potatoes on the floor…

I’m not even 30 minutes into this game and I already know it’s a dumpster fire. The first time I saw Emily, I was like, "Claire Redfield, is that you?" It feels like a low-budget fan game of Detroit: Become Human, but with cringe levels cranked up to 11. And don’t even get me started on the subtitles- they never match what’s actually being said. Honestly, I’m just upset I spent money on this. The plot has potential, but the gameplay? A total disaster.

While I found the first episode a bit janky but oddly compelling, this one was equally janky and oddly uncompelling. Still played it to the end, wanting to get my $1.89's worth out of it, but too many parts just seemed off. I was pulled out of the world every time the characters walked down a street in broad daylight when we know if anyone sees them, they're done for, or any time I couldn't use a thing because the game wasn't ready for me to use it. The last bits of the game seemed…

Light at the End ties the story from Episode 1 nicely. The movements are changed slightly with cameras following your character rather than staying static but the game play remains the same. The story is nicely narrated but did leave me wondering what happened next.

Overall: Worth it on sale Cons: * Some of the puzzles are buggy and/or not very clear about the goal * Some of the male characters are misogynistic pr*cks * Some of the dialogue is odd...the words "here" and "there" are swapped sometimes, and characters will say lines that are obviously out of context * The ending is very abrupt and just fades to black and sits there...no credits, no "The End" or "To Be Continued"...very odd Pros: * You can skip cutscenes * You can skip the "unlock…

Let me Preference THIS GAME IS NOT A SEQUEL I REPEAT IT IS NOT A SEQUEL! The Story runs parallel to the Game The uncertain Last Quiet Day. feels like kind of a waste of money...I played through part 1 "Last Quiet Day" Its pretty much the same story just told from the human's prospective. The ending is the exact same as Last Quiet Day. It feels like it all should have been just one game and then gave you the choice of choosing human or robot. Besides that I don't know man. A very good game, I thought! I certainly recommend playing it if you liked the first one. Likeable protagonist and fairly well-written characters who you could grow to like or dislike. Some really tense and atmospheric story beats. Very good worldbuilding. I thought the gameplay was well executed and flowed nicely. Not so much moon-logic after all. Sometimes the regular point-and-click gameplay was interrupted by actual puzzle-puzzles. I didn't much care for those, but you can actually skip…

The Uncertain: Light At The End is a narrative-driven adventure game set in a haunting post-apocalyptic world where humanity has mysteriously vanished, leaving robots to carry on the remnants of civilization. Developed by ComonGames and published by META Publishing, the game follows Emily, one of the last surviving humans, as she ventures through a society now dominated by artificial intelligence. The story explores profound themes such as survival, identity, and the complex relationship…

The game is ok if you don't mind playing a broken game with more bugs than a rain forest. If you don't like playing broken games, I'd say stay away (even at the $1 price I paid on sale). It is playable and the story is decent, but it was a headache to complete. The only reason I put up with it was because the first game was better and had an interesting concept that I wanted to see play out. Unfortunately, it ended with another cliffhanger and the Devs will not be making the 3rd game because…

I kind of admire the ambition the developers had for this game, but unfortunately it really isn't good. It's janky, the dialogue is poorly delivered and sometimes nonsensical, and the story isn't really satisfying at all. The creators clearly lacked the time, talent, or resources to achieve their aims for this game, which is a shame. I pushed myself to finish the game, which is quite short at around four hours. [h1 ]The Humans are More Robotic Than the Actual Robots (also the story will never be finished lol) Having been a big fan of the first game I eventually picked this one up, I was especially curious to see what happened to the main character from the first uncertain, but I couldn’t even make it through the whole game. The developers threw away two golden opportunities. First of all you don’t play as a Robot, or really interact with them. Which besides being extremely unique also meant that…

Kind of interesting story but it just ends abruptly. Only about 4 hours of game play even if you explore. And it's just a buggy mess. Sometimes dialog just stops and you have to turn on subtitles. At the end it just went to a black screen so I assuming it's finished but no credits or anything to know for sure. The game as a story is not bad, good idea of having the player make choices. Personally, I played it out of curiosity to see how the plot of the first episode evolved, but ... ...too many, really too many bugs.... ...several times the game crashed during gameplay, even when I finished it, it froze without showing the credits. In short, the positive rating I leave it just because as a plot can be saved and you can still see the effort in the development, but the technical compartment could…

A decent story repeatedly interrupted by its own design choices. I have not finished The Uncertain: Light At The End yet, but I am far enough in to suspect the game is unlikely to suddenly transform into the Second Coming of interactive fiction during the final stretch. What it is, broadly, is a low-budget story-driven sci-fi adventure with enough atmosphere and narrative intent to keep me going, even while it keeps stopping to make life harder for itself in thoroughly unnecessary ways. The Uncertain: Light at the End has a cool sci-fi concept a world ruled by machines after humanity’s fall. Visually, it looks decent: environments are clean, lighting fits the tone, and the robot designs are solid. It feels like there was potential here for a strong dystopian story. Unfortunately, that potential fades fast. The weakest link by far is the writing. The story feels like it was written by a five-year-old shallow, clumsy, and full of dialogue that doesn’t land. On the plus side: - the graphics (except for the poor animation) are pretty good 3D, - the beginning of the story seemed quite interesting and intriguing. While using some really goodlooking reflections and nice cyberlight graphics, others and especially the character animations are more like 1997 Turok style then fitting into an 2020 Title... hoped for more. In addition to this the Gameplay is fun for people who like puzzles, but those who expect a game like the previous one need to look elsewhere :/

I went back and forth on whether to leave a positive or negative review, but decided on positive. It's a short, mildly adventure game about a world taken over by robots. The story and puzzles are solid, but the technical side is the weak point — optimization isn't great and there are occasional rough patches. It's short, so it won't overstay its welcome, and it's a fair pick for story-driven adventure fans who aren't expecting AAA polish. Nothing special, but it gets the job done.

The frustrations between the game-breaking mechanics and inconsistent saves make it borderline unplayable. But if that could be fixed and optimized, the story might feel more compelling. How much you enjoy The Uncertain: Light At The End will depend a lot on your tolerance for janky sci-fi adventures. Fortunately, that's one of my favorite genres. Light At The End continues the story from Last Quiet Day, showing you small fragments of a future where humanity and robots lived side-by-side until some kind of event happened that led to the robots rounding up and disappearing the humans. For why? We will never know, because it seems the developers have abandoned the series. But…

I don't think this game was intriguing as the first game, but it did a decent job of tying the two games together in a reasonable fashion. I'd love to see more of the story unfold as I think this is where the game was getting interesting. There is some jankiness in some of the cut scenes and the voice acting is acceptable. Overall, I'd say that this is worth a play on sale, especially if you have played the first game and enjoyed it.

Don't getting a real ending is so frustrating, i don't even know how i got almost 8 hours of gameplay, maybe it was because of the puzzles... And I wanted to know the rest of the story but doesn't matter, if a new game launch i'll just watch a gameplay of someone. Pros: + Nice graphics + Easter eggs (i loved that) + Achievements (nothing to difficult) + Trading cards + Gamepad support Cons: - Bugs and glitches - Long animations - Advance time effect during the main game (advance the dialogs)…

I started out loving this game. It has actual puzzles at a perfect difficulty for me, which is rare. However, getting around is tedious. She moves sooooo slow, even at a run. Her run is the speed of an average walk in any other game. I also think it was too short. It ended very abruptly. I had to look up a walkthrough just to find out if the game was over. It was very confusing. My screen went to black, but there were no credits or anything. The last thing she said was that her story…

The game is easy on puzzles and on action. very slowly paced. Most of time spent slowly moving in between places. The story is slow as well. On to of that there are bugs. Bad bugs like story stuck, save not working, picture stays distorted after fast forward. My advice: save your time and skip this.

I loved this game. Emily is likable and everyones voice acting seemed good. Not sure why this game has mixed reviews on steam, maybe there was some technical issues when it first released? I didnt have any issues playing the game though. It is a bit slow paced at times but its an adventure game, what else would you expect? I saw this and the first game on sale and just thought I'd give it a try. I wish I could go back and pay full price because they are worth it. the next chapter is probably…

Nope. Don't be enticed by the screenshots. Looks like it has potential but it is so boring. The voice acting is emotionless and just straight forward bad. You play Emily and she just looks like she was startled by a fart through the entire game. You have no attachment to any character and would not care for their well-being in the slightest. The game itself is very short and there's no real ending. If you want to play it then I suggest getting it on the cheap.
